A group of assassins trailed me one by one.
Their footsteps were so loud that I was able to pinpoint each of them easily.
I ripped one's throat out with my bare hands.
I killed another by choking him to death.
The annoying sound of their blood dripping down onto the brick pavement of the city coated my ears in a neverending curse.
Killing these guys would've been a lot easier if I could use my magic...but unfortunately for me...these guys had anti-magic amulets.
So, I was forced to kill a majority of them by hand.
But I was careless.
I let one of them sear my skin with a burning sword.
An overwhelming amount of pain nearly took away my consciousness but it was quickly numbed by the adrenaline coursing through me.
The wound I received...was technically bad enough to kill me...but I didn't let it slow me down.
I can't die.
There were only two more assassins left that I had to kill.
If I die now...everything I had done to survive would be pointless.
And...I have a feeling that the other half of me...wouldn't know what to do if I died.
He's useless on his own, isn't he?
So, the only thing left I could do was run.
I didn't care about anything else.
I had one goal...
...and that was to survive.
I ran around the city...hoping that all the blood I was losing wouldn't kill me.
My mind was dizzy and I felt faint.
And then a miracle came...in the form of a girl.
Her sudden arrival was so surprising that even I stopped to stare at her.
She was younger than me, and she carried a pair of aqua eyes full of curiosity and mischief.
The assassins behind me became distracted and they paid attention to her, not me.
They examined her somewhat beautiful features and became infatuated with her...
So, I ran away and abandoned the girl with them.
I didn't care about what they would do to her.
It was her fault for interfering either way.
Unfortunately, one of the two assassins decided to continue chasing me.
I turned around and tried to fight back, but my strength had dramatically decreased thanks to my wound.
He was easily able to grab my arm and toss me over his shoulder.
My wound burned at his touch and I nearly lost my ability to breathe.
I tried to claw his arm off of me, but it didn't work...and he was able to bring me back all the way to where the little girl was.
He threw me on the ground harshly and the wind was knocked out of me.
To be honest, the world was spinning and I could barely comprehend what was happening.
But I didn't let my horrible physical state knock me unconscious.
I forced myself awake and watched from the ground as the girl's leg was snapped in half by the assassins and as she revealed her magic.
So she was another magic-bearing noble...
It made sense.
Her face and clothing were much too high-class to belong to someone of the commoner level.
But what surprised me more was not her social status, but how she was able to pull something out from thin air.
Creation magic...?
She threw a strange metal object at the ground between me and the assassins.
I immediately jolted up, causing a sharp pain in my chest, and swiftly rolled away from the area before it exploded.
Blood dripped from my ears.
My sensitive eardrums were finally ruptured...
I had expected it to happen eventually...but I had never expected them to be damaged by an explosion.
It left an annoying ringing in my ears.
Other than that, I left unscathed.
The assassins weren't as fortunate as I was.
They had lost the limbs they needed to chase me, their legs.
I was still alive...
I took in a deep shaky breath and stood up slowly.
The world was spinning as I dealt with the pain from my wound after my adrenaline disappeared.
Now, there was nothing left numbing my pain for me.
It burned like a fire and the side of my body that held my wound was almost completely paralyzed in pain.
But...I didn't let the pain stop me from doing what I had to do.
I bit my tongue and continued on.
As reassurance, I pocketed the anti-magic amulets that the two assassins were holding onto.
Then, I turned to face her, the girl who saved me.
"Are you okay?!" she asked me loudly.
Her loud voice gave me a sharp pain to my ruptured ears.
"Wait...Let me stand up too," she said as she tried to stand up.
She struggled to stand up properly due to her snapped knee, and when I thought she was finally almost on her feet, she suddenly stumbled forward.
I caught her before she could fall and create another ear-splitting headache for me.
She looked up at me with bright round eyes in surprise.
"Don't move," I told her sharply.
Why was she dumb enough to attempt to stand up when her leg was broken...?
"Are you kidding me?! YOU shouldn't be moving. You're literally on the brink of death!" she retorted angrily at my concern.
My wound was bad, but I wasn't weak enough to succumb to the pain.
So, I was fine.
I placed her slowly onto the ground and I finally sat down.
It had been a while since I was able to take a break.
"I'll call some people here, okay?" she said as she was about to touch a familiar's mark on her ankle.
I stopped her.
"...Why not? We could get some people to rescue us..." she murmured as she looked at me.
What she said was true, but my life depended on not getting caught.
"Is...there someone after you...?" she asked with a frown.
I paused.
I didn't know what to tell her.
In the end, I just decided to nod my head.
She looked like she was about to say something, but no words left her mouth.
After a while, she spoke again.
"H-Here...Let me treat some of your wounds," she said with a small stutter.
"Not necessary," I responded automatically.
I didn't need help from anyone.
She had already saved my life.
I didn't want to be further in her debt.
"No...I am going to treat your wounds, so shut up. Besides, I think that you'll die if I don't," she said sharply.
As long as I was breathing and conscious, I didn't need anyone's help.
She was irritating.
"To treat you, I need to see your wound. Where is it?" she asked.
I hesitated before I finally pointed to the wound on the side of my chest.
"So...uh...are you going to lay down...or...?" she asked awkwardly.
I did as she asked and laid on the ground, which led me to wince a little from when a section of my wound made contact with the cold hard ground.
She gingerly lifted up my shirt to examine my wound and then gasped.
Her reaction wasn't too surprising...my wound looked like a massacre.
"Hehehe..." she giggled out loud.
I deeply questioned her reaction.
"W-Wow...H-How...?! This is so...just...wow," she gasped out in a somewhat scary voice.
At this point, I was pretty sure she wasn't even looking at my bleeding wound...
Was she...looking at...my abs...in this situation...?
"I know...the wound is bad," I said while trying to emphasize my wound.
"...Anyway...How did you get this burn?!" she asked while trying to change the conversation.
There was no need to tell her anything, so I stayed quiet.
"Alright...let me start treating you. It might hurt a little, but it probably wouldn't be any worse than what you feel right now," she warned me gently.
I nodded my head.
For the next while, she used her magic to create everything she needed to help me and applied them to my injury.
I am pretty sure that she said a few things while helping me but, frankly, I wasn't listening to her.
Everything seemed to pass by like a blur and when I finally went back into focus, bandages were wrapped around my wound and my bleeding was gone.
I positioned my raised shirt back down to how it should have been and turned to look at her.
"Thanks," I told her curtly.
"No problem...So...uh...Do you have anywhere you can go after this?" she asked me with slight hesitation.
Anywhere I could go?
Of course not.
Going back to my parents' place would be suicidal.
"...No."
"That isn't good...Your wound needs a little attention every day in order for it to heal properly," she murmured with a sigh.
I stayed silent.
"Judging by how fast you were running away earlier and how you have ridiculously unfair abs, I'm going to give you a choice," she said bossily.
I froze at her words.
Without a doubt, I was deeply confused about why she mentioned my muscles or how they were at all related to what we were talking about, but I was still intrigued at what she suggested.
A choice?
"You can either stay here and fend for yourself...or I can try to find someone trustworthy to care for you," she said seriously.
I didn't understand why...but the choices she was giving to me weren't as appealing as they should have.
Fend for myself?
That was exactly what I had been doing before.
And I nearly died.
Handing me over to someone trustworthy?
Trustworthy?
Who's trustworthy?
No one's trustworthy until you know them well enough to decide.
Her options left a bitter taste in my mouth.
"Look...I know that both options are incredibly bad, but they're the only options you have. So...which one will you choose?" she asked.
Choose?
I have to choose?
"We don't have all day. I need to head back to my group soon so that they can help my dislocated leg. In case you've forgotten, I'm injured too!" she yelled.
She forced her "help" onto me, and now she was doing whatever she wanted.
If she wanted to give me a choice, she should've given better options.
Even I could have come up with better options.
"Argh...If you don't make a decision now, I'm just going to leave right now!" she screamed.
I watched her.
Leave?
She wanted to leave?
She tried to stand up, but her leg was so messed up that she started falling to the ground instead.
I caught her.
"Th-Thanks for catching me," she stuttered as she began to blush.
I situated her neatly into my lap and kept her there.
"Oh. Sorry...let me get off of yo-" she tried to say before I stopped her.
"Stay," I murmured behind her into her ear.
I pinned her body close to mine and didn't let her leave.
I didn't understand why...but I had a bad feeling about what would happen if I let her go.
"Let go of me now!" she yelled as she tried to struggle away from me.
She was weak against my strength.
I'm sure she could've used her magic to get me off of her, but her kindness didn't permit her to do that.
"No," I answered her.
"Why in the world are you doing this?!" she yelled in response.
I froze.
Why...was I doing this...?
It was like I was doing this on instinct.
I couldn't let her just leave.
"Seriously...Let. Go. Of. Me. I'm not going to run away!!! If you don't let me go now I will PINCH your wound," she said through clenched teeth.
Her threats didn't scare me in the slightest.
But I let her go anyway.
She immediately scooted as far as she could away from me.
"...Alright...anyway, what are you going to do?! Are you going to stay here on your own or are you going to let me find someone to care for you?!" she asked me again.
I didn't answer her.
Why was she so insistent on leaving me alone without her...?
"You're going to have to answer me at some point..." she muttered.
After a while, I finally came up with the right response.
"...Neither," I told her sharply.
"Huh...? What the heck does that mean...?" she asked slowly.
It didn't seem like she understood.
"I'm not choosing either," I repeated.
"What do you mean by that?! It's not possibl-"
"I'm going with you."
"Wait...WHAT?! You can't do tha-"
At this point, I was sick and tired of her words.
I moved over to her and lifted her chin to my face so she could see me eye-to-eye.
"Do you think anything you say will stop me?" I asked with a small accidental growl in my voice.
I was angry.
"Y-Yeah...my bad. I shouldn't have tried to let you go on your own..." she stammered as if she were almost in a trance.
I let her go.
"...So...you want to follow me all the way back to where I live?! That's almost impossible to do without getting caught!" she yelled at me.
"I can do it," I replied to her.
"I live two hours away by carriage. If you want to follow me, you'll have to walk the entire way back on foot," she said without a smile.
I thought it was almost humorous.
I've gone through endless inhumane scientific experiments...been chased for weeks...nearly died...and she thought that following her for that tiny amount of time would be the end of me...?
"Not only that but I'll be going home with some other guys my age...If you didn't know, everyone with me is almost like a monster..." she muttered.
A monster?
I've been genetically mutated...scientifically experimented on...been shot with numerous drugs for the sake of my parents' fun.
I'm barely a human anymore.
Heck.
I don't even have a complete soul.
"So what...?" I asked nonchalantly.
"Did you not hear me just now?! I'm telling you that it's almost impossible!!! You should give up and stay he-"
"No."
"B-But you might get caught an-"
Shut up.
I grew angrier as our conversation went on.
And, realizing the situation, she became quiet.
"Let me follow you," I said sharply.
"B-But...Ugh. FINE! You can follow me! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?!" she yelled.
"Yes."
"UGHHHHH! Alright...Give me a moment to suppress my bloodlust for you before I BLOW UP!" she started screaming.
"Okay."
I thought she was overreacting.
"ANYWAY, I'm going to call for some help now...so just hide as best as you can or something. If you're caught by my friends at any point during the day...I'll pretend I don't know you and leave, okay?" she yelled.
I simply nodded my head and then immediately erased my presence.
She freaked out.
I assumed that, for her, it was like I had disappeared.
"...H-Hey...Are you still here?" she asked slowly.
"Yes," I replied as I reappeared behind her.
"AHHH! IT'S A GHOST! I'M GONNA DIE!!!" she screamed.
I didn't know what to say to her.
"H-How the heck did you get behind me?! You j-just disappeared into thin air so I assumed tha-"
"I don't need to tell you, right?" I asked as I lifted her chin to my face again.
It seemed like she didn't have the ability to comprehend anything I was saying unless she was eye-to-eye with me.
"R-Right!"
After that, I erased my presence again.
And watched everything that happened.
Her dragon familiar appeared.
They argued over something she couldn't understand.
Worry was obviously etched in her familiar's face yet she never realized it.
It seems that her little dragon had certain feelings he shouldn't have...
Feelings of love.
But she was too dense to realize it.
So, she stabbed him in the heart multiple times.
Then, he drank her blood and became human, which was a small surprise for me.
And they argued some more.
In the end, she was whisked away somewhere.
And after a few hours, I was able to follow her to her estate.
.
.
A Few Hours Later
.
.
She led me to a cave, which would later be my dwelling.
It was a better place compared to the basement I was tortured in.
When I appeared in front of her, she smiled and congratulated me on being able to follow her.
She held up her hand for a...what do people call it...a...high-five?
Due to the simple fact that I was tortured as a kid, I had never done a "high-five" before, but I had seen my parents do it in celebration when they were happy.
I didn't slap her hand back.
I couldn't imagine myself doing something so pointless and stupid.
"Uh...anyway...you can stay here. I have an excuse to come here every night too, so just wait for me, okay? My familiar thinks I'm here to kill goats. I'll bring food, water, and medicine every night though," she began to talk awkwardly when I ignored her "high-five."
I nodded my head in reply.
"Oh. Also, what's your name?" she asked.
I didn't answer her.
Mattius.
My name was Mattius.
But I couldn't tell her that.
"Hello? Can you tell me your name?" she asked again.
I didn't say anything in response.
A name?
What name?
"If you don't tell me your name, I'll have to come up with my own name for you," she said with a sigh.
For some reason, I knew immediately that it would be a terrible idea for her to come up with my name.
"...My name......." I started to say.
I thought to myself.
I was a part of a pair.
There were two of me.
Two...
"Um...can you continue what you were going to say? I kind of need to know your name by now..." she muttered impatiently.
"...Deux."
I chose my name from the language of demons, Dem.
"Can you pronounce that again? I don't think I heard it right the first time," she asked me.
"Deux," I repeated.
"Doh?"
"Deux."
"Dooh?"
"Deux."
"Doo?"
"Deux."
"Deouh???"
"...Close enough."
"Yay! I did it! I didn't think I would be able to get your name right," she celebrated.
A strange feeling began to surface within me as I watched her.
Before I knew it, a chuckle arose from my throat.
"I'm lying," I said with a small laugh.
Was she an idiot?
Why was she celebrating over something so small?
She didn't even say my name properly!
"It's not my fault that your name is so unique!" she yelled at me with a smile.
I couldn't stop the small smile forming under my mask.
Why...?
It wasn't physically possible for me to feel happiness...so why was I smiling...?
"Oh, stop it! One day, I promise that I will properly pronounce your name! I swear!!!" she yelled with conviction.
"...Do what you want," I replied with a small smirk.
"Thanks. I definitely will! After all, I'm going to have to deal with you for a while, so...I might as well learn your name properly," she laughed.
And then I realized.
I never learned her name...
"Your...name?" I asked slowly.
"I'm Cordelia. Nice to meet you, Deouh," she said with a giant grin as she messed up my name once again.
And that giant grin of hers would turn out to be the one thing in the world that could make me smile.
.
.
Years Later
.
.
Something that kept me remotely entertained while she was gone was watching the seasons change.
The leaves would change to their green color, turn into warmer colors, and then fall off of their tree completely.
It was a repetitive cycle that helped me keep track of the years.
Over time, I had also gotten used to my sensitive hearing.
Now, I could hear almost everything in our country...including the sound of heartbeats.
I could even tell the difference between them.
It was difficult to get used to, but now, I considered my strong sense of hearing to be a useful tool...even though it was painful at times.
I sighed.
I had promised to meet with the other half of me after five years of separation...but at this rate...I wasn't sure if I would ever meet him again.
Without a doubt, he was still alive.
I sent him messages in the wind with my magic and listened to his verbal responses with my strong hearing.
I told him if it ever seemed too dangerous, he should run away immediately.
If he was ever caught...it would be the end of his life.
But, he always seemed to be confident-sounding, so I didn't worry too much.
It was pointless to worry.
I had also learned a lot of strange...things from Cordelia.
Apparently, the demon language, known as Dem, was the same thing as...French?
I had no idea what "French" was, but she seemed to be very enthusiastic about it.
"Wait...so in this otome game...demons speak French?! This is the surprise of the century, Deux! I wonder what the game makers were thinking! What do all the other races speak...?!" she yelled confusing words at some point in the past.
I had no idea what an "otome game" was...but I didn't know how to ask her about it...
She had also introduced me to foods that I had never known about.
Up until I met her, I had been eating bugs or whatever I could find in my parents' basement to survive.
So, everything she gave me was delicious.
At least...I thought they were.
I had nothing to compare her food to other than creatures who found their way into my parents' basement...so perhaps my sense of taste was unreliable.
But...more than her food...her existence was calming...
I had always felt a comforting feeling around Cordelia...but I had no name for the emotion.
If I could not feel happiness or joy...what was the feeling I felt around Cordelia...?
I was never able to figure it out.
.
.
Later
.
.
As time passed, she gave me a "gun."
It was a strange weapon...almost like a bow but...it shot "bullets" that were faster than an arrow could ever go.
On that same day, my other half began to use his beast-taming magic to send birds with messages attached to their wing.
I was confused about why he was sending letters instead of simply speaking to me.
I could hear him no matter how far he was from me after all...yet he seemed to always be quiet lately.
But, I ignored my confusion, and in order to get his messages, I shot the messenger birds from the sky.
However, due to the simple fact that there was always a huge flock of birds, I was forced to shoot hundreds of them out of the sky.
Each day, he sent me a new sentence.
I decided to collect them all before reading them.
Eventually, the messages stopped coming.
So, I assumed he had finished sending what he wanted to send.
And then, I started to read them.
.
"Are you still around, sir?
After a few years, I think I'm getting used to life with step-mom and dad.
Dad has changed a lot...
Step-mom is a little mean and hits me sometimes too...
Oh, but I'm okay, so don't worry about me!
I'm tougher than I look, sir!
I'm your other half, so I can't let you down.
Can I see you soon?
It's been a little over five years since I've seen you, sir.
I'm a little scared, sir.
Please, sir.
I miss you, sir.
Can I see you again, sir?
I want to see you one last time, sir."
.
I read the sentences and paused at the last one.
What did he mean...?
Did something happen to him...?
I walked away from the cave I had been staying at and sat down by a tree to rest my head.
A flock of birds flew over me and I grew irritated.
I shot all of them down to the ground.
There were no letters attached to any of them.
At some point, Cordelia walked in on me shooting them down.
She carried the best "sandwiches" I had ever tried in my life and told me something interesting to hear.
"Today sucked a LOT," she whined.
I didn't respond as I watched her act like a child.
"One of my old friends decided to pay me a visit today...by sneaking through my bedroom window while I was sleeping!"
She had strange friends...
"Do you want to guess who it was?"
I didn't care who it was enough to guess.
"...It was a boy from the Marquis family. I swear that the kid is mentally insane."
...I didn't know how to react.
"If he wanted to visit me, did he HAVE to sneak through my window??? ...Actually...if he came through the front door...he probably would've died..."
What...was that kid doing...?
"And because of all that, I get to go pretend I'm a spy and trespass into the Marquis' home!" she smiled.
I zoned out at what she was saying.
He visited her...? Was he trying to find me...?
When I zoned back into the conversation, she was talking about nonsensical things.
"What did you say?" I asked slowly.
"Uh...I was asking whether you thought the sandwiches tasted good or not..." she said awkwardly.
"No...before that."
"Um...I was telling you the reason why I brought those delicious sandwiches to you..."
"Before that."
"Err...I don't remember...?"
"Marquis."
"Ohhhhh...Yeah, I'm planning on breaking and entering their house tomorrow~"
"Which one."
"Huh?"
"Which Marquis."
"Oh. I'm planning on breaking into Marquis Scott's house."
All I could think at this moment was that she was an idiot.
My father, Marquis Scott, was a dangerous man.
He'd torture her in his basement if she would ever get caught.
But she wasn't too weak.
So she'd probably be fine on her own...
"Anyway, I'm going to head home a little early today since tomorrow is probably going to be a busy day for me," she said as she stood up to go.
A message.
She needed to tell him a message for me.
Through his messages attached to birds, the other half of me had asked to meet me again, right?
I need to answer him...to see him again.
"Yes. Noon. Two days," I murmured out loud for her to hear.
And then I left.
.
.
Days Later
.
.
Just like I had hoped, she came back with her familiar and my other half following her.
I noticed his arrival almost immediately.
It was...strange...looking at the duplicate of me.
It had been a while since I had seen my reflection...so it was...weird to see him.
But...he was frail-looking and he had heavy eyebags.
He trembled when he moved and looked like he was ready to fall over at any time.
...What had they done to him...?
When Cordelia tapped her feet twice on the ground, I turned my presence back on and stood face-to-face with him.
"Y-You're...me...right?" he squeaked nervously as he stepped forward to me.
Was it actually necessary for him to ask that?
It was then that I realized he was fiddling with his fingers shakily.
Suddenly, everything clicked.
He was...talking in the silent code that only the two of us knew and understood...
He was trying to tell me something with the sign language that both of us had developed in the past.
"Sir...it's been a while since I've seen you. Do you...still remember our secret code?" he said through his thin fingers.
I nodded my head without saying anything.
"I'm so relieved that you still remember...I wouldn't have known what to do if you didn't. I'm about to say some surprising things. So don't react too much or else they'd know, okay? Actually...You're not the type of react to surprising things..." he quickly fumbled through his hands.
The greatest benefit of talking through our code was that thoughts could be conveyed much quicker than words.
With a slight movement of our hands, we could communicate strings of ideas within a second.
"I've been spying them for a long time. They are secretly making a deal with someone, but I don't know who he is...All I know is that he's a little...dangerous..." he communicated.
Cordelia interrupted what he was about to say next.
"Soooo...Uh...Are you two ready to recombine into one human or something? I have cupcakes for when we finish the recombining process-thingy..." she awkwardly said.
For a split second, before he turned around to face Cordelia, he told me something.
"Step-mom and Dad...they found me spying on them. They threw me in that basement and did something to me. They turned me into a bomb...It looks like I'm going to explode in an hour."
Then my other half turned around to face Cordelia to thank her.
"Y-Yes, I am!" he stuttered loudly.
But at the same time...he was still fumbling with his hands behind him to say more.
"I figured something interesting out. Hey...I can't feel love. Did you know that I wanted to fall in love with Cordelia? She's a nice girl, isn't she? She even led me to you! But...I don't 'own' love...because you're the only one between us who can love. I'm rooting for you two instead."
"All we have to do to recombine is to swallow a strand from each other's hair," he lied out loud as he continued to speak through our code.
"But I think it's good that you're the one who can feel love...because I'm not going to live long enough for that stuff. Hey...I'm scared. I'm really scared, you know? Even now, I feel like crying. I don't want to die yet...! I want to live a long life...Spend it with you and Cordelia..."
"From here on, everything will get better..."
"But...I'm not dumb enough to not realize that there's no chance of that happening now. My life is basically in its final stages, right? That's why I wanted to see you. I wanted to say a proper good-bye...Thank you, sir."
"Thank you, Cordelia," he said with a smile to her as he continued to say more to me behind him.
"I stole this from them while they weren't looking...it's filled with my magic. Can you do me a favor? Keep the bottle and always remember me when you look at it...I don't want to be forgotten after I die. I know I haven't done any honorable stuff...but at least...you can remember me even if the history books don't...right?" he asked as he quietly dropped a pure white bottle to the ground to me.
"Thank you," he repeated out loud.
"I have one last favor...and this one...is more important to me than the other one."
"Thank you so..."
"Please...kill me...right now...Even if I can't feel love...I love you, sir. And...I'm sorry...for asking you to do this. Please. I don't want to die by step-mom and dad...I don't want to let them win...Please. Sir. Please...Kill me...before I explode..."
"...muc-"
It was at that moment I fulfilled his wish and shot him.
Haha...
I didn't know how to fill the emptiness in my heart in any way other than laughing.
His body fell to the ground.
I looked at his body.
It was a suffocating feeling.
"...You...What...M-Mattius...? Hey...wake up...Hey...no..." Cordelia silently murmured with wide eyes as if she were in denial as she moved over to his body.
My body was slammed against a tree by her dragon's magic.
I fell to the ground as the wind was knocked out of me.
"Deux...Deux...What...did you just...do...?" Cordelia asked slowly as she turned to face me.
I think she was hoping that I would give her a good answer.
But instead, I laughed.
I laughed in my messed up state-of-heart.
I looked at her.
Haha...maybe I might have loved her.
It hurt me so much to see her pained expression...for her to look at me like I was a murderer...
"...I killed him because I felt like it," I lied.
------------------------------------------------
A/N: Well...there you have it! The reason why Deux kills Mattius is...this!
Ta-da...!
Yeah, it's not very funny when I word it like that...
Hmm...yes, I have no words to say anymore...
But...winter break is ending soon for me! And...I also have an *extra* chapter that some of you might want to read that is after this chapter!
Alright.
That's it.
As always, I'd like to thank my readers/voters/commenters!
Okie byeee!
