I don't understand anymore...WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED?!
Ever since I visited my father's office three years ago, my father began to act a little...strange. Yep, that's right. THREE YEARS AGO! This means that I am now three years old and, in a few months, I'll be four years old. Gadia, the god of this world, promised to give me the "power of the mind" when I become four, so I'm a little excited.
But anyway, why! Why is my father being strange? Ever since I went to his office that day, he has been visiting me constantly. In the game, Cordelia was completely ignored by both of her parents, Alastair and Amelia! Now, Alastair requests my presence for dinner every night, for tea every afternoon, and for various father-daughter bonding activities throughout the week! WHY!
I can't say the same about my mother, though. Ever since Dad and I became close to one another, mom became meaner than usual. In the game, Amelia also ignored Cordelia's existence, because I was not a boy.
If I was a boy, she could manipulate me in the future as the Duke's heir. But, I am a girl, soooo...sucks to be you, Mom! However, she is currently always watching me, ordering the maids to stop giving me breakfast, and taking away the gifts father gives me. I guess she is just jealous that Dad loves me and not her.
I'm only a toddler though, so I have to pretend I don't understand why my mom hates me. I'll just enjoy my father's affection! In my past life, my parents didn't really love me. So, this is a nice change! I can finally know what parental love is, and truthfully, it feels great!
Amelia is just like how my parents were in my past life though. My old family didn't have any maids or butlers to order around, but they never treated me nicely. They would never give me a single bite of food, and if they did, it would be moldy stale bread or rotten fruit. I guess Amelia is a little better since she doesn't hit me when she's frustrated...
ANYWAY! I am currently walking over to our garden where Dad and I have our tea time. It takes a while to get there since our backyard since it is HUGE and I only have the muscles of a three-year-old. Luckily, I am being accompanied by my maid, Sophie, who was with me since I was born. So if I fall over, she can catch me and carry me a little.
When I made it to the garden, I saw my father...AND A LOT OF CAKE AND COOKIES! I ran over to the sweets and began to grab the cookies and eat them. I heard a chuckle from my dad and looked up. He had a serene smile. Wow. If I was thirty years older, I might have gotten a nosebleed just like Sophie did just now.
"You really like food, huh?" said my dad with a twinkle in his eye.
"Yep! Food is the best! Especially sweets! But I also like savory food too... I guess I like all the food in the world! Food is good. Food is righteousness. When I eat good food, the flavor makes me happy! So, I really really really really really really like food! Food is my favorite thing in the whole world! Without food, I would be really sad!" I said. Whoops. I guess I said too much. When it comes to food...I'll kill people to have some...
"Hahaha! You really are too cute, princess!" my dad said while grabbing me. He is squeezing me too much! Stop it!!!
"Can't br-breath! N-nee-d a-ir!!!" I breathed out. Every once and a while, my father likes to squeeze and hug me. It's nice but...calm down a little...
"Oh! I'm sorry, princess! I just thought you were so cute when you were talking about food and I just..." mumbled Alastair. I swear he acts like a kid sometimes. I can't imagine him as the Duke of Silverbell. But when he is in work mode, he's like a machine! It's even more ridiculous when he's around Amelia! He becomes so heartless around my mother! Is he...bipolar?
"It's okay, Daddy! I still love you!" I said in my most innocent voice possible. What I said to him is true, though. I do love him. He's the first person that I can happily call "family."
"Princess! Oh, you're so cute!!!!" screamed my father. Noooo! Stop squeezing me! I'm going to suffocate!!

Twenty Minutes Later
.
Whew! I can finally breathe now! Currently, Dad is being scolded by Sophie. Thanks, Sophie! He really looks so sad though...the aura around him is so sad that I feel kind of bad. But he needs to learn his lesson or else I might actually die of suffocation!
While Sophie was yelling at Dad, I heard a rustle in the bushes nearby. I shouldn't move away from them, but I was curious, so I moved closer to the bushes.
The garden is right by the edge of our estate. Beyond our land is a forest where a few animals and weak monsters reside. It's not really dangerous for adults to walk through, but for a toddler, it could be pretty bad. Therefore, I am banned from going into it. Needless to say, I don't really sense any danger from the bushes nearby. So, I think it's safe if I get a little closer.
As I neared the bush, I hear some more rustling. When I peaked behind the bush, I saw something amazing that took my breath away.
There, laying on the grass, was a baby dragon. It had the deepest black fur with blue highlights. Its belly was pure silver that reflected the light of the sky. It had scales that were colored various shades of blue and had light blue horns on its head. The dragon's ears were pointed upwards as it sensed my arrival. It had a long tail that had tufts of fur at the end. What was most noticeable was its eyes. They were emerald green and they had a sense of mystery, intelligence, and mischievousness. (A/N: Sorry for the bad description...I suck at these things. -_-)
As I stared at its beautifulness, the dragon to growl. It seemed so tense. Perhaps something was wrong? After a moment of observing the dragon, I realized why the dragon was so scared. I don't know why I didn't notice before, but on its tail, it had a black nail pinned into it. Around its legs, there were chains that bound it together. The poor dragon was badly bruised and was bleeding terribly.
In the Silverbell Kingdom, hunters illegally hunted dragons for their horns and scales. They sold for a lot on the black market. Rich individuals would purchase these goods to create purses or accessories. Baby dragons were especially hunted for their fur. As dragons grow to adulthood, they shed away their fur to gain strong scales instead. So, hunters would try to capture baby dragons before they grew up and shave off their fur.
It isn't easy to capture a dragon, though. As adults, dragons are extremely powerful and wise creatures. It would take a team of dozens of skilled hunters to even hope of capturing an adult dragon. Baby dragons were heavily guarded by adult dragons, so they were hard to catch too. Elder dragons were even more impossible to catch. Only three elder dragons would be enough to destroy an entire country or two. But dragons grow up more slowly than humans, so it would take hundreds of thousands of years before a baby dragon could grow up to an Elder Dragon.
The baby dragon in front of me was probably captured before, but it was luckily able to escape. No wonder it was so scared of me.
"Shh...shhh...It's okay. I'm not here to hurt you. I'll help you get that nail off," I said coaxingly. Maybe the fact that I was a three-year-old toddler was helping because the dragon calmed down a little. As I approached it, I heard it growl a little from the pain it felt.
I crouched forward slowly and sat on the ground by it. It was important to take out the nail before I could treat it.
"I'm going to pull the nail out. It may hurt a little, okay? Please try to stay still..." I tried to say without having a shaky breath. I wrapped my tiny hand around the nail and began to sweat. Slowly, I pulled the nail out. Blood began to pour out of the wound and the dragon screeched and yelped with pain. When the nail was finally pulled out, golden blood continuously poured from the wound.
I had no cloth on me except for my white dress that I chose to wear that morning. In one swift motion, I grabbed a rock and cut off the lower half of my dress. I used the silk to wrap around its leg and stop the bleeding. I learned how to do this in my past life in case I ever got injured. My old parents would never help me if I did injure myself...
When I finished, I saw the dragon look up at me. It was expressionless for a moment.
"Hmm... What a strange human," the dragon said.
"Well, excuse me...HUH?!"
