-------------------------------------------------------------------

I AM SO BORED!

Next month is my fourth birthday so all of the servants are busy working. My father got me a tutor to teach me basic knowledge, which was unnecessary.

The tutor's name is Cynthia.

She looks and acts like the average girl in my past life. She has average brown hair. She uses glasses too, which is pretty average. Even her smarts are average.

But it seems that her true talent lies in her earth magic.

It seems that my father went through a lot of work to find her.

She is kind, sweet, understanding, smart (not as much as me though), and is a Q-rank mage of Roseforth Guild.

Knights, mages, and adventurers are ranked by their skill level on something called the Talent Scale. The Talent Scale ranks adventurers from A-rank to Z-rank. The weakest people are A-rank while god-like people are Z-rank.

Most people rank lower than G-rank. Strong people rank anywhere between G-rank and N-rank.

Cynthia is Q-rank.

Therefore, she is extremely strong. I assume that when I find out what my magical capabilities are, she will become my magic tutor.

However, I am currently learning the alphabet, simple addition, and simple subtraction!

I am a rare genius AND THEY EXPECT ME RELEARN KINDERGARTEN.

Cynthia has realized that I am much smarter than the average child taught me quicker than other children. I relearned how to do division, multiplication, and how to write a paragraph.

It is still too easy. I could do everything she gave me mentally within a second.

The only hard thing I have to do is learn proper etiquette. I was a commoner before, so learning how to be rich is not easy.

"I've only been teaching you about fractions for a little bit and yet you have already understood it perfectly! Are you a genius?" Cynthia said with surprise obviously in her voice.

"It's too easy!! I'm so bored!!"

"I'm sorry, but it is my job to give you homework-even if you finish it so quickly."

"Alright then...teach me about the land!!" Although I know almost everything when it comes to math, reading, and science, the history of this world is new to me.

"Alright. It's a little early, but I think you will be fine."

"Yay!"

"Okay. You already know that the country we are in is called Silverbell. We are the only human country. There are seven countries in this world: Silverbell, Alfheim, Aquaria, Dwarnia, Oakwood, Macrog, and Redleaf."

"What's the difference between them?"

"Silverbell is a kingdom of humans. Alfheim is a country of elves, sylphs, and fairies. Aquaria is the kingdom of the sea where mermaids, mermen, and other sea creatures reside. Dwarnia is country of dwarfs..."

"Umm...can you slow down a bit?" I asked. The topic sounded boring already.

"No. Shut up."

"Fiiine."

Oakwood is the land of the demi-humans, mythical creatures, and the occasional spirit. Macrog is the land of the demons, devils, vampires, werewolves, and more. Redlead is a forest of dragons where Ace came from," Cynthia said, finishing her statement.

"Ohh! I get it. What's the relationship between Silverbell and the other countries?"

"To be honest...all of the countries aren't on very good terms. Some speculate we will be at war soon-especially against Macrog."

"Oh-"

"My lady! I'm so sorry for interrupting your lesson! Excuse this servant, but we need to pick out a dress for your debut!"

My maid, Sophie, came running into the room I was in and picked me up from my chair.

"Nooooo! Save me, Cynthia!" I yelled.

Cynthia had a look of pity on her face, but she just shook her head.

Whyyy.

I don't want to pick out one dress from the thousands that I have!

SAVE ME!

Sophie carried me over her shoulder and quickly threw me into my dressing room.

Technically, I am the duke's daughter, so Sophie could be charged with treason for treating me this way. But Sophie has a pretty good relationship with me so she gets away with everything.

"Alright, Cordelia! It's time to get you the prettiest dress we can find!" There were sparkles in her eyes as she grabbed a huge pile of dresses.

Oh well...there is no escaping now...

After what seemed like months, I was finally able to pick the "perfect" dress. Sophie didn't seem to think my outfit was special enough, but I disagree.

Although my dress was very simple, it was still made of fine white silk and blue cloth that complimented my eyes and hair.

The dress had ruffles on the bottom and a black ribbon around the collar that was perfect for my cute toddler body.

I decided to wear a hat that day too since I wanted to be able to hide my face if I could. For my footwear, I chose light blue sandals that were comfortable and easy to walk in.

"Are you sure that you want something so...simple? It's your big day so you can pick the prettiest and fanciest clothes you want," Sophie said at an attempt to convince me to get another dress.

"Nope. It's fine! I don't want to wear anything too fancy because it makes it harder to move..." I said with a sigh.

I was not going to wear heels and a stuffy dress. I'm a commoner at heart, so I can't get used to all of the fancy things I need to wear.

"Alright...if that is what you want. But what do you want for your makeup?"

"I don't want to wear any!"

"But you must! It would put shame on the family if their sole daughter came to her debut without a speck of powder on her face!" Sophie pleaded.

"...If I absolutely have to, can I just get a natural look? I would rather have as little makeup as possible!"

"...How strange," Sophie muttered quietly to herself.

Was it that weird that I didn't want to look too fancy?

After talking to Sophie more about plans for my debut, another maid came through the door.

"Excuse this servant, my lady. Your mother requests for your presence," the maid said in a polite way.

"My mother did?"

"Yes. She wanted to spend the evening with you."

That's strange. She has requested for me before, but she rarely does this.

As far as I know, my mother hates me due to jealousy, but I can't decline the offer. If I decline, I would be treated more coldly.

"Alright! I'll go! Thank you, ma'am!" I said as cheerfully as I could. For a moment, the maid seemed surprised and then smiled softly.

"You're welcome, my lady. Please follow me," she said while gesturing me to follow her.

I nodded to Ace, who was waiting outside the door while I was changing. He followed me as I walked.

We walked around the confusing walls of my home for a while until we stood in front of a door.

"Is this where my mother is?" I asked as innocently as I could.

"Yes. Your mother is waiting on the other side."

"Really!? Ok! Thank you so much for walking with me here!" I said while jumping up and down.

The maid laughed a little. She bowed and left me alone in front of this large door.

As I stared at the door, I took a deep breath and turned the handle. Ace flew in first to check the surroundings.

My mother was sitting at a table while quietly fanning herself. I thought this before, but my mother was beautiful.

Her skin was as white and clear as porcelain. Her amethyst eyes sparkled in the light. Her lilac hair looked like spiders' threads as they swayed in a breeze.

(A/N: Here's a pic in case you guys forgot. ^^^)

Even though she was over thirty years old, she only looked a little over twenty. She was nearly perfect in every way, but her personality is trash.

But even though I dislike her, I can't fully hate her because I know she will die of sickness in the future.

"Good evening, sweetie! It's been a while and your mother has missed you so much. It's such a shame, isn't it?"

My mother spoke in her sickeningly high voice with a fake smile plastered onto her face.

"Yeah, mommy! I miss you so much too! I was so happy when you called for me," I spoke happily.

"How sweet...your mother has been waiting for the perfect chance to meet you too! How was your day?"

"It was great, but it was also kind of boring. Ms. Cynthia's lessons are always thorough, but they are too easy for me! Ms. Cynthia says that I am a genius!" I said while giggling.

"Really?! Your mother is so proud of you! But you must be tired if you study that much! Would you care to join your mother for some tea?"

"Sure! I like joining father for tea too!" I said purposely. I was rubbing in the fact that I was able to spend time with my father when she can't.

"...Really! That is so sweet! I hope you two had a lot of fun!" Amelia's smile became even colder. She gestured to a maid to pour us some tea.

"Yeah! Daddy is always nice and I love him," I said with a genuine smile. For some reason, Amelia froze and stared at my face when I smiled. I guess I look like her when I smile?

"How adorable! Your smile is so cute! I'm jealous!" Amelia said while sipping her tea. She delicately ate some of the desserts in front of me and Ace.

I drank my own tea after checking for poison, of course. I wouldn't be so stupid as to trust my mother's drink.

My mother was so pretty when she ate that even my heart skipped a beat. In fact, it was beating so hard that it began to hurt...

I looked up to my mother and saw a twisted dark grin on her face. I turned to see Ace's shocked expression. That was the last thing I saw before the whole world went black.

A/N: Ouch. Cordelia is in trouble now.

I hope you all still enjoy reading my story! I am still extremely happy about the 1K views!

To many of you, 1,000 views are probably nothing in comparison to other stories, but I am still grateful to everyone who has contributed and supported this story!

There will be a lot more things happening in the next few chapters, so look forward to it!

Okie byeee!
