The Heroine, Lydia Ambers, a girl with short, curled black hair with red tips, her hair was styled cutely in the back shaped like a bow, and firey amber orange eyes, was running late from her errands because her uncle came down suddenly with a fever.

Due to an old accident, half of her uncle's tail was cut off, and so his mana was unstable, and often came down with a fever from mana instability.

I watched it play out. She was being harassed by three drunk beastmen and they stole the medicine from her.

She didn't have enough money to buy more, and without it, her uncle's condition could worsen...

One against three burly beastmen weren't great odds, but when they come close to cornering her, a hero sweeps in.

"... Huh?" I exclaimed in confusion.

She was already cornered! Where is he!?

The male lead of the Catastrophe route should be here be here by now!

I stood up and paced around like a panicking idiot.

"Where is he? Where is he?" I asked in a panic.

She was already getting pinned down and there was still no sign of him.

"Oh gods... Fine..." I sighed as I pulled up my black scarf to cover up half of my face like the original male lead did, and jumped from the rooftops and pulled the drunkered off Lydia.

The two other men looked at me in shock and charged at me.

Easy enough, I side stepped them and knocked them both out in one blow.

I look at Lydia, eyes shining with tears.

"You... You saved me," she cried, hugging my legs.

I inwardly groaned. I wasn't supposed to be the one that did...

I pat her head as she looked up at me with admiration.

"Thank you!" she cried again.

I knelt down and grabbed the paper bag with the medicine and gave it to her.

I started to walk away when she stopped me.

"Wait! C-Could you please tell me y-your name?" she asked hopefully.

I look at her. She's so adorable--

I sighed and decided to do what the capture target would have done.

I carried her bridal style and jumped through the roofs of Fantasia.

"Gah! W-Wait! M-My house is over there!" she pointed as we landed safely in front of her house.

"T-Thank you again! So much!" she beamed.

I nodded in response as she turned to open the door.

Then she turned back to me suddenly.

She ran and hugged me as I stood there in shock.

I was about to hug her back when she pulled my hood backwards, and my flowing white hair escaped, dancing in the wind as I stumbled back and in shock.

"I-I'm sorry if I startled you... You look beautiful," Lydia smiled, her hair was illuminated by the moonlight, swaying gently to the wind.

I heard some coughs come from her home as she looked back at the door worriedly.

She put out a hand and helped me up.

"Thank you again... I-I hope I can meet you again, I'll surely repay you then!" she smiled before rushing into the house.

I sensed someone watching me down the street to my right and saw a hooded figure.

All I could see were two eyes glowing a dark violet blue.

The capture target...

I glared at him slightly as he tilted his head in confusion.

I jumped up the rooftops and waited a bit.

As I expected, he was following me. What I didn't expect was that he landed on the same spot I was in and he almost knocked me off of the roof.

Luckily, though very panicked, he managed to grab my arm and pulled me back up.

He sighed in relief before chuckling.

He looked at me, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

He sat down then stared at me, waiting for me to do the same.

I curiously sat down beside him as we both just stared at the moon.

He tapped my shoulder then pointed at me, then at his head.

I tilted my head curiously. Is he asking me what's on my mind?

I pointed at him then nodded my head at Lydia's house.

He seemed to understand then shrugged. He pointed to me then pointed at his eyes, then at Lydia's house.

"You didn't save her because you knew I would?" he chuckled again then nodded happily.

"Oh dear... I've given myself away... Haven't I?" I laughed lightly.

He pulled down his hood, revealing his black hair that shone a metallic purple in the moonlight.

He reminded me of a galaxy.

Half of our faces were covered by black scarfs.

He pointed to his scarf and tried to take it off, but I held his hand to stop him.

I shook my head as he looked slightly disappointed.

"If you want to give yourself away, tell me your name instead," I beamed.

He was silent for a long while.

"... Cat..." he finally responded as I realized why he looked familiar.

This was Mason's brother....

So... The male lead of the Catastrophe route is the brother of the assassin that killed Leonard's mother?

Jeez, this route must have been more complicated to unlock than I thought.

But thankfully, Mason is free from the slave mark, and queen Claudia is just fine.

I stood up to leave when he grabbed my hand.

"... Don't leave.... Please," he asked.

"But... I have to," I said gently.

He said nothing and just let go.

He was disappointed, I could see that much.

'Glade?' I asked quickly as a galaxy like seed appeared in my hand.

It grew and bloomed into a beautiful flower, colors of dark blue and purple swirled around the flower, dusted with white dots like stars.

I tucked it behind his ear. "This, is a Glacia flower. A gift," I explained.

"... Nice..." was all he said before Nightmare arrived to pick me up.

"Bye," I waved as he hesitantly waved back.

And that ends the prologue...

"Well, that didn't go as expected..." I sighed.

Harley laughed as I permitted him to appear behind me.

"Nothing will ever go as expected if you keep on going where you're not supposed to," he laughed as I nodded.

"You're right, Harley... But I get the feeling you don't want to stop meddling either," I smiled as he hugged me.

"Where's the fun in the predictable? Right, Snow?" He asked as I hummed in agreement.

"Now let's go to Slade and get you your blue bunny butler," Harley grinned.

"Let's," I agreed.

-------------------

Today was the day I promised my daughter that I would take her to Slade...

I quickly called Bellatrix on a com jewel, extremely worried.

"Yes, Victor. Everything is prepared for your darling daughter, same as the 16 other calls you made earlier to check in on me," Bellatrix sighed, not even saying hello.

"Sorry, Trie.... I'm just... Really worried... Are you sure there'll be no problems?" I asked apologetically.

"You and Liam really are two peas in a pod. How are fathers more overprotective than mothers these days?" Bellatrix rolled her eyes.

"Since we can't predict the future, I've prepared all I can for the Princess. That rest is up to you guys as a family. I might be slightly busy, but I'll make sure to keep watch," she smiled as I nodded in agreement.

"Then we'll see you there," I smiled back as she rolled her eyes again.

"And please. For goodness sake. Stop calling unless it's an emergancy," she sighed before hanging up.

"Hello, father!" greeted a voice as I turned around and hugged my little Snowflake.

"She's been so excited," Lilian laughed, squeezing Snow's hand happily.

"It should take us almost the whole day to get there, are you sure you'll be alright?" I asked Snow with a smile.

"Of course!"

"Alright, let's not keep your aunt Bellatrix waiting for too long," Lilian laughed, helping Snow get into the carriage.

'Please let nothing too exciting happen...'
