-Snow's pov-
"Well, you heard the girl, knight commander," said the guy, snaking his hand around my waist.
"Hands off, scum," my aunt snarled, slapping his hand away.
"What are you doing, Yukionna?" She asked skeptically.
"Just a little curious is all," I said, slightly looking at the glinting recording crystal as my aunt caught on.
"And didn't you say you were going to be busy tonight? I think having a guide around the district would be great!" I clapped happily as she discreetly slipped me a wooden amulet.
She seemed to think about it for awhile.
As if on cue a knight arrived, looking for knight commander Riko.
"Knight commander, there's been a disturbance on Falcon street, immediate assistance from a higher officer is required," he stated.
"... Tch, was I called by name?" she asked.
"Affirmative, knight commander. Detective Arthur requested you by name," he stated again.
She glanced at me then gave me a small wink.
"If I can't find her within 10 minutes when I get back, I'll have heads rolling," she growled before leaving.
The three men showed me around as promised but kept getting distracted by something, they would tell me to look at souvenirs then seemingly huddle around something and by the time I returned they acted like nothing happened.
While looking at some hairpins I noticed a couple. They seemed to be looking outside a dress shop window, but I saw the woman holding a compact mirror.
The man seemed to notice that I noticed. He glanced at me with a smile then gently elbowed his partner as she closed the mirror.
Again I noticed a woman in a nearby Cafe who seemed to be reading a book but glanced at me from time to time.
I couldn't help but wonder. Are those aunt Bellatrix's people?
Though it was night the café's seemed full of lively people, reading, talking, street performers dancing, singing, acting.
I can't help but imagine how quiet the day time is, it's like the whole kingdom was nocturnal.
Suddenly the wooden amulet glowed faintly as words started to appear.
'Plan has been authorized to kidnap you, be wary, one of my subordinates will pick you up'
"Hey, lotus, why don't we check out Redilia park? The moon lilies look great at this time of night," one of the guys suggested.
"Sure! I'll just pick up a hairpin for myself," I said as they agreed and I picked one out.
"I'll take this one please, oh, and is Redilia park near the next district?" I asked smoothly.
"Yes, Redilia park is the border line of Carolina and Sevior, why do you ask?" the vendor asked curiously.
"Oh, it's nothing, just a tourist, that's where the famous Duke Myoga resides, correct?" I asked again as they gave me my package.
"Ah, I see you've heard. Thank you for your purchase," he nodded as I paid and left as well.
Actually I was only guessing. They're trying to get me over a border...
We arrived in Redilia park and there really were moon lilies.
Moon lilies were a specialty of Slade each kingdom flows with the magic of their ruler, creating their own unique environment, moon lilies only grow in Slade.
Suddenly a young woman approached us "Hey! I know you guys! You work for Duke Myoga! What are you guys doing here!?" she screamed.
The guys looked at her annoyed, "None of your business, runt, scram," they said harshly.
But something was different. They were... Softer? I'm not sure... They spoke to her differently... Could she be Aunt's subordinate?
She glanced at me in worry, "Are you alright? Are these guys bothering you?"
"I told you to stay out of it..." the other guy growled.
"Ah, these men were only showing me around, young miss," I said politely.
"Don't trust them! They're known to kidnap women like you, guards!" she screamed.
The three guys threatened her but she kept screaming bloody murder until a single guard had come to check the situation.
"May I be of assistance?" he asked as the young woman explained.
The guard looked at me then raised a brow, "Are these men troubling you, young miss?" he asked seriously.
Before I could answer the three guys interrupted me.
"Whatever, we were just leaving anyway..." and with that they left.
Did they give so quickly because of the guard?
"Don't you know it's dangerous around here at this time of night, young miss?" the young woman asked worriedly.
The guard observed quietly as my curiosity was piqued.
"I'm sorry, I'm just a tourist and those men were helping me around," I explained.
"... You're lucky I was here in time, it's very late and my house is close to here, would you like to rest there?" she asked kindly.
"In the Redilia district?" the guard suddenly chimed.
The young woman flinched slightly, "Yes... It's not much but it's a safe place for me and my family" she smiled.
"And where are you from, young lady?" the guard asked me.
"Ah, my living arrangements were handled by knight commander Riko... But... I'm not very sure where it is," I laughed sheepishly.
"Oh, you can stay with us for the night then we can find the knight commander in the morning," the young lady suggested.
"I'm afraid that is not possible," the guard interrupted as the young woman stood shocked.
"Why not?" I asked.
"New orders ftom district officer Ascot, the border between Redilia and Carolina will be closed by 9pm to Carolina residents, and visitors of the Carolina district, it is currently 11:56 do you have any ID of your residency in the Redilia district?" the guard asked.
"Ah... Yes..." she said, revealing a hidden tattoo on her wrist.
"Then you are given free exit, I am to escort you to your home," the guard said as the young woman panicked a little.
"No, there's no need for such a formality," she laughed, slightly nervous.
I felt the wooden amulet glow and I took it out.
The woman saw me holding it as her eyes widened in surprise, "A trap..." she mumbled.
"I-I'll take my leave now," she said but the guard stopped her by grabbing her arm.
"You are under arrest for suspicion of kidnapping and accessory to extortion," he said, placing magic restricting cuffs on her.
"W-What!? You can't do this! You have no evidence!" she screamed.
"You have the right to remain silent, anything you say or do will be used against you in the supreme court," he recited as he turned to me.
"Thank you for your assistance, miss Yukionna, please follow us to the station to meet with knight commander Riko," he explained.
"Ah... This is quite sudden no?" I asked with a small laugh.
The guard raised a brow curiously.
"After all you have no evidence," I said, slightly confused.
Can he really arrest her for something like this?
"What's going on over here?" another woman stepped up curiously.
The woman in cuffs looked at this other woman in panic.
"Katie? Excuse me, sir, what do you think you're doing?" she asked with a slight glare.
"He's arresting her for kidnapping, but she hasn't done anything," I said worriedly.
The woman looked at me and softened her glare.
"This is outrageous, have you any evidence?" she asked.
"Melissa it's a trap! Run!" Katie screamed as the Woman tried to get away quickly.
Luckily I tripped her with a vine as a silver amulet fell from a fold of her dress.
"Well, well, well, evidence acquired," the guard laughed.
He quickly cuffed her as well then used a wooden amulet to command the complete closing of the border and a sweep of Redilia park.
"That's evidence?" I asked curiously.
The guard nodded then grabbed the hand of Melissa to open the holographic contents of the jewel.
"Recent transaction histories, three women, one of class b and two of class A sold, bought by RC-12, marked as delivered and payment received, amount 10,192 gold," he read aloud.
I looked at it shocked.
"Very clever, how did you know there were two?" he asked with a slightly impressed gaze.
I smiled and answered, "I didn't," I was just genuinely curious.
We were transported to the heart of Carolina to visit the headquarters of the knights.
Aunt Bella was still in disguise as knight commander Riko when she met us.
After her formalities she ushered me into a separate room.
"Great job, sweetheart!" my aunt gushed and hugged me.
"This is one of the greatest gifts I could ask for!" she squealed.
"Oh, I'm glad I was of some use to you," I laughed slightly.
"... I never thought they could do it like that..." she said with a slightly threatening glare.
"Like what, Aunt?" I asked curiously.
"They used men to make their targets uncomfortable and threatened, then they'd send women in to comfort and save them... Only to be betrayed..." she said, her voice getting lower and quieter.
"... It is quite unfortunate..." I said, also quite disturbed.
In such a light-hearted, magical, and fantasy based game I never really thought this kind of thing existed...
