Jiang Nai nodded repeatedly, but when she turned around, she saw the new boss standing at the tea room entrance with a cold expression. Her colleagues broke into a sweat, apologized profusely, and quickly ushered her out.

After work, Jiang Nai went home, washed up, and lay down on the bed. Before long, someone entered the room, removed their coat, and stood in front of the mirror to unfasten their tie. Jiang Nai propped herself up on her elbows, hesitated for a moment, and finally said, “Aren’t you a bit too fierce at work…”

The man in front of the mirror turned to look at her and gave a faint smile. “I didn’t say anything bad about you at work today. Where am I being fierce?”

Review: It's a good romance novel. A bit fluffy but I think it's more like logical mature romance. Not much about other characters, the story focus on MC and ML feelings. MC and ML married because their family has a cooperation. Both are from wealthy family. MC father runaway from Jiang family and married MC mother. MC father died sometimes ago. MC mother fell sick then MC grandpa promise to take care MC mother but she needs to come back. MC lives with her grandparent from 16 yo then she went for master degree abroad. Not too sure about MC age because in story it is emphasize that she is still young. In the extra it's said she is not yet 20 even though that's her 4th year of marriage. MC felt she is misfit in Jiang family. The family indulge her cousin, Jiang Yao. At first JY is the one who will marry ML. Then JY messed up. She got pregnant with other man without knowing who's the father. ML family request to change the partner so ML marry MC. MC first meet ML when JY fell down on the pool. ML just stare at her before asking MC to call for help. Then turns out the pool is not that deep but ML never try to save JY. At first their relationship is polite. ML tried to fit with his role as MC husband. He'll care MC because she is his wife. MC is happy with ML's care and thought they could happily marriage. But then she heard rumor about ML first love. She knew it's only rumor but it made her realize that ML care for her because she is his wife and from Jiang family. ML rumored first love is He Shujiang. She is the younger sister of ML's friend. She is from normal family, her brother died and ML promise to take care of her in work. When JY keep pestering ML because of their engagement, HS then spread ML loves her. ML just let it be because JY stopped bothering him. ML bestfriend said it's impossible for ML to love HS because she is from normal family. Also MC was brought to skiing because ML's client like a family oriented person. In ML's mind he needs to show his care to client and he care for MC is the same. Both are a win win solution and doesn't conflict. MC who's happy with ML's care cooled down and tried to avoid ML. ML got confuse why MC distancing herself. Then MC found out her mother died 1 week before she registered her marriage with ML which is 2 years ago. She confront her grandparent. She decide to cut off their relationship. He took care MC when she broke down. MC thought since she cut off her relationship with Jiang family who's cooperating with ML family, then ML should divorce her. ML said he is not divorcing her. At first ML also thought it's only a business marriage but he already loves MC. MC stayed with her friend to give ML times to think about their marriage. ML plan to show MC that he didn't need Jiang family help to get what he want aka become the head family. Not too sure why it's not ML father and his uncle who fight over heir position. MC got sick, ML forced her to come back. He took care of MC then they made up. In the end ML grandpa is sick, he entrust the company to ML. He said he indulge ML cousin more even though he is not competent because he is afraid ML won't let the cousin once ML has the power. ML then asked if the cousin will let him go if the cousin is the one who has power. The grandpa said the cousin will never overpowered ML that's why he indulge the cousin. The grandpa make ML promise not to touch the cousin. He is willing to trust ML's promise because he didn't divorce MC when she cut off with her family. ML felt uncomfortable with his grandpa bias. Then he went out and met MC who's concern with him. He felt it's fine since he has MC. The extra is about their after real marriage. They had a daughter. There's also a bit story about ML bestfriend who date a girl from normal family.
