Lily told her familiars to start flying around the training ground. Right after she gave the command they started flapping their wings and took off. Lily enjoyed flying as she never felt more free. The wind in her hair and the soft purrs of Alaska made it heavenly. She couldn't help but smile at how happy she felt in that moment. She looked over at her new teacher to see he was enjoying himself. He was laughing and hollering with his hands in the air.

She turned around to see her riding partner had his eyes closed.

"You're missing out. You have to open your eyes to see beautiful things you know."

At her words, Christopher felt like a coward so he opened his eyes slowly and gasped as he looked down at the training grounds below him the soft fluffy-looking clouds looked so close he could touch them. He looked forward and saw that Lily was smiling brightly and her hair was flying all around. It made her look otherworldly.

"That's better! Isn't it beautiful? Never close your eyes or you could miss all the beauty of the world."

Christopher found himself in a daze as he looked upon the girl. Her giggle sounded like heaven to his ears and he wanted to hear those sounds more. As soon as his hands touched her body he immediately relaxed. Almost like her aura soothed his mind and soul. He watched as the girl's laugh turned into a smirk as she gave her familiar a new command.

"Alaska, fly higher. I want to try something."

The white tiger wasted no time in obeying its master's orders. He flew high enough that they couldn't see the faces of the people below. Christopher watched as the girl stood on the tiger's back. She turned around slowly before looking back at him and flashing him an innocent smile. He looked at her confused as he watched her wave her hand goodbye and then start falling backward. His eyes grew wide as he watched her fall from her familiars back. He reached out too late and couldn't grab her hand.

"Lily!" His heart threatened to beat out of his skin and he almost jumped after her. "Why aren't you moving? She's falling we need to catch her!"

He almost cursed the animal that just watched its master fall to her death. Until he saw the girl hovering in the air in front of him smiling like the happiest person in the world. He could see the wind moving around her body like it was supporting her. Was she using wind magic to fly? He had never heard of such a thing.

"I'm so glad it worked. That would have been embarrassing if it had failed." She laughed as the boy looked at her like she was crazy.

"What were you thinking? You could have been killed! Why would you do something so stupid!" His face was red as he realized just how worried he had been over someone he had sworn he would not care about. She just tilted her head in confusion and she spoke.

"I wouldn't have died." She said it like it was so obvious that she didn't understand why he was concerned.

"How could you not have died falling this high up?"

"Look down, dummy." She rolled her eyes at him and she pointed to Drago flying small laps right under them.

"I told Drago to catch me if I fell. There was nothing to worry about."

"You trust them with your life?"

"Of course. We are connected for life. I will never abandon them just as they will not abandon me." She spoke with such confidence that Christopher found himself wanting to ask if she would abandon him. If they were married and had their own connection would she also trust him as much?

"You truly are a prodigy, my lady. It is my honor to teach someone as grand as you." Lily turned her head to watch her new teacher and Drago hover by them. Lily smiled at the elf and asked if they were ready to head back down. They both agreed and she got back in front of Christopher. He immediately grabbed onto her hips to hold onto and felt her calming aura taking effect once again. Calming all the nerves he had just built up thanks to the same girl.

Once they landed, Elros started talking to Lily about magic. He wanted to know how she learned it by herself and what she was capable of. The more questions she answered for him the more questions he asked. She ended up giving him a few demonstrations which had him asking why she wasn't using chants and how she was even capable of it. Seeing how elves were known to be very well versed in magic she began to wonder just how much of an oddity she was in this world. She quickly pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind as she watched Elros praise getting the chance to meet her. He seemed so happy that she thought that it couldn't be so bad if he was acting like that.

Her first class turned into a get-to-know-you class instead. Her teacher spent the whole class asking her questions. She answered each one without hiding anything trusting her adult teacher who needed the knowledge to know how to teach her. She failed to notice that her new fiancé was listening carefully to every answer she gave and was making sure not to forget a thing.

As Christoper watched Lily talking to Elros, he couldn't help but think about what his father told him. The last gift from the goddess. A blessing stronger than the first kings. He found himself looking forward to his next magic lessons. He wanted to see her again as much as possible.
