The next morning, I woke up with a bright smile on my face. I gathered my bags and got dressed to travel. Arthur arrived at the orphanage early, and Lily said one last goodbye. They rode out of the village on horses. Unfortunately, since she was still a child, she had to ride with Arthur on his horse.

"Didn't you say that your familiars would be coming as well?"

He was trying to look all around us but failed to see them.

"Don't worry, they are close. They will come out to say hi once we get farther away." We rode in silence for a few more hours before I called them out of hiding to say hello.

"This should be far enough. I'm honestly not sure how the horses will react, so we should probably get down and hold onto them."

The duke gave me a strange look like he thought I was overreacting. He finally gave up and helped me down the horse as he instructed the knights to get down as well and to hold on tight. Once I was satisfied that the horses wouldn't run away I called out to my familiars.

"Alaska, Drago come say hello." Alaska stopped hiding his presence and stepped out from behind the horses. Drago stopped using invisibility and stood tall in front of us. They had been walking in front and behind us the whole time. As expected of my protectors. I walked over to Drago, and he lowered his head so that I could place my hand on his nose.

"You have already met Alaska. This is Drago."

"You could have told me you had a dragon! This is going to be more complicated than I thought." Arthur sighed out loud, and he rubbed his temples.

"I'm very grateful to you, Lord Arthur."

"Grateful?"

"These two are the closest thing I have to family, but I've had to keep them hidden for so long. With someone of your status backing me up, then they can finally stay close to me. So, thank you for taking me in, I'm truly grateful."

"Let's just hurry back. I'll figure out how to explain those two when we get there."

The men climbed back onto their horses, but Lily ended up riding on Alaska for the rest of the trip. Drago decided to hunt on the way there and was able to bring a good amount of game.

They traveled for a few days before they made it to the capital border. Lily had told her familiars to hide their presence and follow in the sky. It would be very hard for them to squeeze through crowded streets while staying hidden. They quickly obeyed and flew into the sky and hid their presence so well that it sent chills into the mens spines. The thought that something that strong could hide so well and stay so close without them knowing sent a new fear to the battle-hardened adults.

Arthur covered Lily's small body with his cape as they rode their horses through town and into his estate gates. When they rode up to the front door to the mansion, he spotted his wife and son waiting for him. When he saw his wife Gabriella smiling up at him, he unwrapped the little girl from his cloak. His family's eyes went wide as they saw the little girl. He jumped from his horse and helped her get down as well. She grabbed onto the edge of his cloak to hide and followed him up the many steps towards a beautiful woman and a young boy who looked a little older than her.

"It's been too long, my love." Arthur held the woman's hand and gave it a small kiss. He then patted the boy's shoulder and turned to him.

"Have you grown since I've been gone? My how time flies."

"It seems you've had an interesting trip, dear. Who's this little one?" The woman bent her head to lean down and look at Lily's face closer. She thought she had an adorable face and looked delicate like a little flower. Arthur looked over at her and nodded his head. Lily nodded back in understanding and tried to repeat the welcome that Arthur had taught her.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, my lady and young master. My name is Lily." She grabbed her skirt with both hands as she lifted her skirt lightly and curtsied.

"Not only is she adorable, but she is polite as well." The woman smiled kindly at the little girl. Arthur turned to his son and said.

"Would you mind taking Lily to the main garden? I need to speak with your mother for a moment." he then turned to Lily. " You can introduce him to your familiars."

Lily smiled up at him and nodded her head. She walked up to the boy and looked up at him, waiting. He had black hair and purple eyes just like Arthur. He was probably a foot or more taller than her and had broader shoulders. He smiled at Lily and turned to walk away. Lily had to walk quickly to match his fast pace.

When the children were no longer in sight, Arthur brought his wife to his office and told her how he met her and his intentions of adopting her. He also explained the magic she showed him and her familiars he met. Gabriella was amazed that such a delicate-looking girl had such a strong blessing and that she could tame two powerful creatures.

"If she's as powerful as you say, there's a chance she has noble blood. Have you thought about looking for her real parents?" The woman knew that children possessing magic were valuable and that a parent to said child would not give up on them so easily.

"I tried asking the woman at the orphanage, but she said she was left at her door as a baby. She's probably a high nobles bastard child that they didn't want to be found."

Although he said that, he doubted his own words. Her magic was very strong, and it was very unlikely that she had much commoner blood or any at all. Still, he decided that he was going to take care of her from now on. She was already so strong and smart that he had very little doubt that she would be just fine in his family.
