I was on the road again. Whenever my body started to ache from physical activity I healed myself. I had to be very careful that no one was around because healing was very flashy. Either way it made traveling faster. I didn't run this time, it would be suspicious if someone saw me running for my life like I did yesterday.

As I walked, I picked herbs from the side of the road. There wasn't a single person on the road. I had four bowls in the air, crushing herbs into pastes. My journal also floated ahead of me, the pen scribbling all of the pastes and their ingredients into the pages. I tapped my chin as I added another bowl to the group.

It was very dangerous, using magic in broad daylight. I wonder if I could make things invisible. I would have to bend the light away from what I want to disappear. I focused on my journal and the spell felt like water running through my fingers, smooth and easy. The journal disappeared. It reappeared and I flipped to the front of the notebook and added that to the list of magic skills I had.

As I walked, I worked on making two things invisible, then three, four, five, and then all of the things floating in the air. I let go of the invisibility and wrote in my journal that it was possible to use two abilities at once. The clopping of horse hooves caused panic to shoot up through my spine. I made everything fly into my basket. I kept my eyes pointed to the ground until I knew that the color was back to blue.

"Ah, hello." A man smiled down at me from the horse he rode on. "Where are you off to all by yourself, little lady?" I am twenty years old but I brush it off.

"I am making my way to the next town over, sir." I smile pleasantly.

"Where is your husband?" He asks and I try not to sigh with aggravation.

"I am unwed." I say with a drawn out smile. "I must be on my way, if I want to get to the next town before sunset."

"You are going to need a horse if you plan on traveling any farther than Vincent Way." I shrug. "Here." He drops a heavy coin purse in my hands. "That should be enough to get you a horse and all the proper travel supplies."

"Oh, thank you sir." I say, bewildered and then he rides off. What a weird man.

When I am sure that there is no one around, I take out all of my items again. If I can turn items invisible, can I turn myself invisible? I hold out my hand and focus like I did with the items. My hand disappears from sight, but keeping it invisible is harder. Moving too much easily disrupts the invisibility.

I create more vials and separate the pastes and make engraved labels on each vial. Sally climbs onto my shoulder as I file the vials into the basket. My arm was tired so I made the basket float at my side. I made more vials of different herbal pastes until the top half of the basket was full.

I could sell them later for more money after I buy a horse. My stomach growls and I continue to walk. I hadn't eaten since yesterday. Sally ate bugs that flew around us and sometimes random leaves. So at least one of us wasn't hungry. I rub my finger on her head and she squeaks happily.

I pull my hood over my head to block the sun from my face. I played with my magic as I walked. I could summon water to drink so I wouldn't die of dehydration. I was hungry and even though I healed my aching body I was tired.

When I reached the next village I was absolutely exhausted. "Excuse me, sir, I need to buy a horse." I say anxiously. I don't know how I am supposed to initiate these things. The stableman looked down at me.

"Can you even ride a horse?" He says harshly. "Where is your husband?"

"I am unwed." I try my best not to glare at him. "And, yes, I do know how to ride a horse." I huff. I was too tired to deal with someone like this. "Here, get everything I need." I plop the heavy coin purse in his head. "That includes supplies for travel." I said it coldly and he listened. Some people didn't deserve sweet smiles, I guess.

He comes back to where I am standing with a beautiful black mare. Her coat shined. The stable man tied several bags to the horse and handed me my leftover change. The man scratches at a nasty bruise on the side of the face and I sigh to myself.

"Sir." He looks at me with disdain. I press a vial into his huge hand. "Put this on your bruises daily. It will numb the pain and make it fade quicker. Just don't put it into an open wound." I instruct him like I would any patient.

His eyes widen as he looks at me. "That is very kind of you. I can get you extra supplies." He gestures to the store.

"No, that is free of charge." I say as I look at the nasty bruise. "I have plenty more." I tell him and give him a small smile. He waves awkwardly as I leave and I hope the poor man doesn't get hurt anymore like that.

I lead the horse to a nice establishment. I find her a stall and hang up the items. I pay for a room and eat dinner at the inn. When I reach my room I flop onto the bed without bothering to wash. I was so tired.
