A/N: Yess guys, this is the surprise! I've had so many messages about a sequel for this story because people want to know what happens that its been unreal. i have no plans in doing a sequel as i seriously am not a fan of them, but because i love you and youve all been asking for something for so long, ive decided one extra chapter of this story wouldnt do any harm ;)
Im going to put this as the Epilogue of the story so you all know how the characters ended up. this is how i saw them ending up, but if you thought of it differently then just leave the ending as the last chapter and go whereever your mind takes you.
I really hope you like it, and i would really appreciate it if you voted as this story is entered for the Watty Awards and i would love it if it did well in there :)
Love you guys so much and again thank you for the support! enjoy :)

I was going to kill him.
My grip tightened around the fork in my hand, trying with all my might not to stab him with it right at that moment considering there was a few too many witnesses.
I had to get him back to the house so I could literally throttle him and unleash holy hell on his head because if I blew up in this crowded garden in front of all these people then that would not be good for anyone.
It was times like these where I missed working for the agency, knowing that if I lost my temper in public then I had professionals who would clear the mess up for me.
“When I walk in the spot, this is what I SEEEE! Everybody stops and staring at me, I got passion in my pants and I aint’ afraid to show it…I’m sexy and I know it!” Jace sang at the top of his lungs along to the music, holding his beer bottle in the air while thrusting his hips when the beat kicked in just like they did in that damn video.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to focus on my anger towards him about the fact he was drunk out of his skull dancing to that song like a moron in front of all our neighbours and embarrassing the hell out of me. To be honest, I was trying with all my might to hold back the laughter as I watched him thrust his hips while biting his bottom lip and doing a spanking motion with his hand. If it wasn’t for the fact I was humiliated beyond belief right now, I would be rolling on the floor crying with laughter because even I had to admit, it was pretty damn funny.
Garry was laughing loudly as he watched Jace, along with pretty much every single other person at this party. Garry was our next door neighbour and the guy hosting this party, he had about the same mental age as Jace so it was no shocker those two got along so well and that he was too drunk out of his skull and dancing like he was on speed.
I continued to glare at Jace and pretty soon he caught my eye, that playful smirk was soon on his lips as he realised I was seriously embarrassed by his actions and he was loving every minute of it. He walked away from Garry and the other lads that lived on the street, who had all somehow been persuaded to drink more than their monthly limit at this party, by my loving partner of course.
Not only was Jace possibly the worst influence ever and had somehow managed to get everyone drunk at a small neighbourhood gathering, but he had somehow managed to start some sort of dance marathon where fully grown men were attempting to break dance and do the robot.
Nice to know my husband really was the life and soul of this party.
His eyes were still on me, that same boyish smirk that he mastered as a teenager still plastered on his lips. Even as a 29 year old man now, he still pulled it off like a pro as much as kills me to admit it. He made his way over towards me, literally shimmying the whole way over like some sort of belly dancer. Once again I closed my eyes and inhaled.
He’s embarrassing you Faith, do no laugh and encourage this fool.
He had finally reached me, his hand wrapping around my wrist and lifting my arm up slightly as he began to dance up against me, biting his bottom lip to stop himself from laughing as he began to thrust his hips against mine.
I gritted my teeth together, again trying to hold back laughter and never lost eye contact with him as I attempted to shoot him death glares. Even my icy stare did not faze him because he was looking way too amused right now.
“I have literally got the moves like Jagger.” He announced suddenly, pulling my arm so my whole body was closer to his. His hand slipped around my lower back and he pulled me closer to him, his lips hovering over mine as he continued to move his body. Considering we were so close he was somehow forcing me to dance with him.
“I am amazed that my almost 30 year old husband has somehow managed to turn a small neighbourhood gathering into a freaking high school house party.” I commented, glancing towards the other people at the party and watching a few of the men actually doing a beer bong, while a group of the wives and girlfriends were around one of the tables throwing the finger food at each other while laughing hysterically.
Oh Christ, when the hell did a food fight commence?
Jace was looking at the party goers, also known as our respectable neighbours many of who were reserved people who worked as lawyers and went golfing every weekend then came home to their respectable housewives and fully cooked homemade meals. I mean when we moved here we had Julia welcome us into the neighbourhood with a basket full of homemade muffins.
Julia was currently doing jello shots with Tom, the doctor at the local hospital.
Both of us were looking on at the party, me shaking my head in disbelief and embarrassment while Jace held a proud grin on his face at the chaos he had created.
“Turns out no matter how old I get I can still get a party going.” He turned back to look at me, the proud boyish grin plastered all over his face.
“It also turns out no matter how old you are you still never lose the ability to humiliate me by acting like a moron.” I smiled sarcastically.
“If I’m not mistaken, was this not what you wished for all those years ago?” He furrowed his brows, placing his index finger on his chin and pretending to think really hard. He pointed his index finger at me as he gasped dramatically “Yes it was! You wished that we would go to street parties, arguing when I would have one too many beers and embarrass you in front of the neighbours but deep down finding me so adorable you can’t stay mad at me for longer than 10 minutes?”
A small smile appeared on my lips as he said those words, the same words I had said in the confession box without knowing he was outside listening to everything. The memories of what happened in that box shortly after also came back to me causing my smile to turn into a dirty smirk.
Jace must have read my mind because his smirk was mirroring mine, and he wiggled his brows suggestively.
“I may have said that…” I admitted reluctantly, causing his smirk to turn a little triumphant.
His arms tightened around my waist as he pulled me even closer into his body, a content sigh coming out of his mouth “See, you wished for this. I’m just fulfilling my duties as a good husband and granting you that wish sweetheart.”
“I vaguely remember wishing for hot sex with Matthew McConaughey on a hammock, I don’t see you granting me that wish Genie.” I retorted back.
He snorted “The only person you will be having hammock sex with is me.”
I burst out laughing.
10 years had passed since we fled England and moved to Australia and without meaning to sound like every woman character that has starred in a romance film, but I never thought it would be possible to fall even more in love with this idiot than I have in the last decade.
Ed’s associates never caught up with us. Just as we predicted, after almost 4 years they realised they were not going to track us down and the word on the street was that the culprit for Ed’s death had been discovered and dealt with accordingly. Which in translation meant that they used a targets body and made up some story so that people don’t think they were going soft.
Connor and Chris didn’t come to Australia but both decided that if they were going to immigrate somewhere, it would be a place where girls wore bikinis almost all day every day and you had a year round tan. They did not want to live in a place where, and I quote ‘the spiders were bigger than Pamela Andersons titties’. Those ladies and gentlemen, were Connor’s precise words.
So naturally, they both moved to Miami and brought a house down there.
After 4 years of living in Australia and once we knew we were safe, me and Jace joined them in Miami. We got married a few months after moving there and moved into our own little house, white picket fence and all. Of course because Connor, Jace and Chris have the mental age of 8 year old boys, the fence was not white long and they had done a graffiti pattern that covered every inch of white. We were anything but normal after all, so having the classic white picket fence didn’t really make sense did it?
Chris and Connor soon started up their own security business. They provided body guards and protection to people who had enough cash in their pockets, and surprisingly it kicked off pretty quickly and they are anything but short of money I can tell you that. After all, for 2 ex assassins, a job in security and protection is pretty perfect considering they know exactly what to look out for as well as know exactly what to do if anyone did attack a client.
Jace started working at the business pretty soon and he was now head of security in the one of Miami’s biggest nightclubs. I also work for the business, mostly sorting out the paperwork side, as well as work some bars and clubs that were in need of someone to make sure the troublemakers stayed in line. That didn’t happen too often, but when it did the lads knew that I was more than capable of handling myself.
The trust fund Drake had set up for us was still there, but we had no need to dip into it anymore because all of us were earning more than enough to live on.
When it came to jobs and incomes, we were all pretty much sorted.
Chris met a girl called Amy who ran one of the local bars he had provided security for, and within the year they had married and moved into a house that was a 20 minute drive from mine and Jace’s. They now had a 4 year old called Ellie, and it was safe to say Chris worshipped the ground she walked on. He has already made it very clear that if any man hurts her in the future, he will not hesitate to show them the training the agency gave us all those years ago.
Connor had also found a girl he was smitten with, it took him a little longer and they have been together just over a year. He was determined to hold onto his bachelor status and refused to settle down, but a one night stand at a party with a girl called Kim turned into a long weekend in bed which eventually ended in them getting their own apartment also a short drive away from our house and looking pretty settled to me. They were not married or had any kids, but it was a matter of time.
Our lives were normal. Since leaving the agency, we have all created the lives we want for ourselves. None of us have taken a life since. The last man I killed and will ever kill was the man who took it all away from me in the first place.
Ed was the last life I took, and I plan on keeping it that way.
My life was everything I wanted at the minute.
“HOLY CRAP, I LOVE THIS SONG!” Jace screamed, his eyes wide with excitement as he pulled away from me and held his fists up in the air to the other guys who also began cheering as the song came on.
“I want some hot stuff baby this evening, gotta have some hot stuff’, GOTTA HAVE SOME LOVE TONIGHT!” the crowd of drunk fully grown adults screamed together.
I mouthed a bunch of profanities to myself as I realised what this song was.
Hot Stuff. The song that created The Full Monty. The film about males who strip off while dancing to this very song.
God, please no…
“Lads we’ve all seen the film, you know what to do!” Jace yelled to his loyal followers who cheered him on as his hands went to the tie around his neck and he started loosening it, before his fingers went to the hem of the untucked white button top he was wearing and he slowly began to open it, letting the buttons on his shirt pop off one by one.
“OKAY! I think it’s time we call it an evening to be honest!” I declared loudly, still struggling to make myself be heard over the music that was blasting. I was surprised the neighbourhood didn’t complain, that was until I realised the entire neighbourhood was here right now encouraging my 29 year old husband to continue this striptease.
“I said HOT STUFF!” Jace sang, his hand beginning to undo his belt as he pointed at his followers with the other hand, the smirk still on his face.
“Jace, you get that thing out of your pants I swear on everything that is holy I will never touch it again!” I whispered into his ear threateningly, noticing he quickly stopped undoing his trousers. Apparently that was one thing he was not willing to risk. I turned back to the neighbours with a big polite smile on my face “Thanks for a lovely evening, really was a pleasure guys. Oh and Garry, Tom just puked in the antique vase.”
I grabbed Jace’s arm and began to yank him back to our house.
Jace turned his head to the neighbours, pointing at them “Remember guys, you gotta fight, for your right...”
“TO PARTY!” they all yelled back like a loyal army.
I rolled my eyes as Jace looked back at me with another proud smirk on his face at the people he had corrupted.
“Holy crap, you are actually like an evil dictator.” I almost growl as I continue to drag him along with me back to our house which was right next door.
“What can I say baby, I’m a natural born leader.” He replied cockily.
“So was Hitler…” I muttered under my breath.
We finally made it to the house and I opened the door, pushing my drunken husband through it and watching in amusement as he almost lost his balance and fell against the coat rack.
“Natural born leaders mastered gravity you know.” I commented sweetly, and he glared at me as he stood up straight, ignoring my sarcastic comment and apologising to the coat rack. He actually apologised to a freaking coat rack.
I shook my head and closed the front door, throwing the keys in the bowl on the table. I turned to walk out of the hallway and into the living room, snorting with laughter as I watched Jace attempt to take his shoes off without falling flat on his ass. He failed miserably, and as he pulled one final time to get the high-top off his foot, he fell back against the coat rack again, knocking it on the floor.
“Ohh shit!” Jace swore loudly, closing his eyes dramatically as the coat rack fell. He waited for the coat rack to fall, scrunching his face as the loud smashing sound echoed around the house.
“Jace you fucking moron, you’re gonna’ wake the ki-“
“MUMMMMMY!”
I let out a breath of annoyance as I narrowed my eyes at Jace, before I turned and watched the little boy running into the hallway dressed in spider man pyjamas. I smiled slightly as I saw his flushed face, his big chocolate brown eyes which he got from me looked up at me, his short brown hair which he also got from me looked messy and as he saw me and Jace the most adorable smile spread over his baby face. That smile he definitely got off his father.
I glanced to Jace, who seemed to have sobered up slightly as soon as his eyes landed on his son. A smile was at his mouth, just like it was whenever he looked at the little boy. Our little boy.
I never understood it when I was younger and parents used to describe what it was like to have a child. The bond that you felt with that one human being and how it was so strong there were no words to describe it. I always thought it was people being over dramatic. That was until I became a parent myself. As soon as the nurses handed me my little boy 5 years ago in my hospital bed, I knew that this one little person would mean more to me than anyone else in the world, and I would literally lay down my life to protect him. To protect mine and Jace’s son.
Liam Drake Dixon.
He ran straight up to me and instantly I scooped him up in my arms, placing a kiss on his cheek which he scrunched away from and began wiping his cheek where I had left a red mark from my lipstick.
I laughed at his actions as an echo of ‘ewww’ came out of his mouth.
“What are you doing up little man? It’s a little past your bed time.” Jace grinned at Liam, ruffling his hair playfully. Liam looked up at his dad with a mischievous grin, knowing that he should have been in bed well over 3 hours ago. That he also got from his father.
“Daddy, Uncle Connor and Uncle Chris won’t let me have my turn!” Liam complained, and I rolled my eyes realising I would have to deal with another 2 children before the night ends.
“Oh wont they now?” I stated loudly as we walked into the living room area, loud enough that both Connor and Chris would know I was there. Neither bothered to take their eyes away from the TV screen as they were too engrossed in the game they were playing.
They were both cross legged on the floor in front of the TV, looking exactly like they did 10 years ago when they used to spend hours upon end playing stupid Xbox games.
“They said I could have a game, but they haven’t let me have a go yet!” Liam complained to me this time, his big brown eyes looking at me to do something.
“Well Uncle Connor and Uncle Chris are idiots who are about to get a slap around the head for not keeping their promise, but you little man should have been asleep a while ago.” I raised a brow at him, and he actually tried to hide a grin as he knew he had gotten away with staying up long enough, the proud twinkle in his eye did not go a miss either.
Like father, like son.
I turned my head to tell Jace to get the two idiots of that damn game, but when I looked around he was no longer next to me but stood behind Connor and Chris, watching the TV screen intently.
I gritted my teeth. There are way too many children in this house.
I put Liam down and walked over the TV, reaching behind it and pulling the socket out. A chorus of complaints echoed around the room.
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU PLAYING AT WOMAN!”
“WOULD YOU TURN A LIFE SUPPORT MACHINE OFF LIKE THAT!”
Connor and Chris complained simultaneously, looking up at me like I had just betrayed them beyond belief. I stepped in front of them, arms crossed over my chest and looking at them like I look at Liam when he has misbehaved.
“You two are meant to be babysitting, not playing that crappy game. It’s well past 11 and Liam should have been in bed by now, and to top it off you refuse to let a little kid have a go on this game?” I scorned them. Both of them looked at the floor in shame, and I had to stop myself from laughing. Liam also did that when I told him off. Liam was 5, these two big kids were fully grown men.
“Sorry...” They both muttered.
Connor turned his head slightly to Liam, who was grinning as he watched his Uncles being told off.
“Tattle Tale.” Connor muttered to him. Liam stuck his tongue out at Connor, and instead of being the adult in this do you know what Connor did?
He stuck his tongue right back at Liam.
I rolled my eyes.
I looked at the sofa and saw little Ellie curled up in a ball sleeping. I smiled slightly as her blonde hair covered her cheek, sleeping so peacefully while her thumb was in her mouth.
“At least someone knows when their bedtime is.” I told Liam, my brows raised as I gestured my head towards Ellie. He looked over at her and then back at me with a boyish smile on his face.
“Sleep is for girls.” He told me proudly, causing the lads to let out a small chuckle.
Chris and Connor got to their feet.
“Okay, it’s probably time for us to head home anyway. Thanks for letting us play dude, Amy won’t let me play in the day cos she thinks it’s a bad influence on Ellie.” Chris scrunched his face, slapping Jace’s hand as Jace nodded sympathetically.
“No problem man, still up for the weekend? The new Battlefield is out so I’m thinking we pawn the kids on the wives and girlfriends while we kill a few brain cells?” Jace confirmed, a smirk at the corner of his mouth.
“Hell to the motherf-fudging yes!” Connor exclaimed, quickly correcting himself as he remembered Liam was still in the room and listening to his every word. He turned to me with a grin “You women can bring us food, I mean your fortress is in the kitchen isn’t it?”
I glared at him, before a smirk of my own appeared on my lips “Connor my love, you do remember how many utensils are in the kitchen and the many ways I can use them right?” My tone was threatening, but my smile was sweet.
He widened his eyes a little in fear as the memories flashed through his brain, before he cleared his throat and slapped Chris’s back.
“Time to go Christopher.” He quickly said, causing me to chuckle slightly. He walked up to me and placed a kiss on my cheek “See you at the weekend you scary bitch.”
I laughed again, and he walked up to Liam and bumped his fist against his “Later my man.”
“Bye Uncle Connor.” Liam smiled up at him. Connor and Liam got on great, mostly because they had about the same mental age and he saw Connor as the big brother he could look up to.
“Liam, go up to bed.” I told him.
“But mum!” He whined, looking up at me with puppy dog eyes.
“Don’t you make that face at me, bed. Now.” I repeated, and he huffed slightly before he turned his little feet, running up to the sofa and placing a small kiss on Ellie’s forehead while she slept. I smiled slightly as I saw this. Those two basically grew up together, they were really close.
“Night Ellie, Night Uncle Chris!” He called out before he began to climb up the stairs.
Chris walked over to the sofa, gently scooping Ellie up in his arms before turning to Jace.
“Liam is cute around Ellie, but I also know he is your son so I warn you now, if I catch him anywhere near her with that Dixon smirk on his lips and giving her the eye there will be trouble.” Chris warned Jace, a playful look on his face.
Jace grinned proudly then shrugged “That boy will have charm that little Ellie wont resist, what can you do?”
Chris gave him one more warning look, trying to hide his laughter before turning to me and placing a kiss on my cheek.
“I’ll see both you losers at the weekend.” He called as he and Connor walked into the hallway.
“Peace!” Connor yelled back to us, holding two fingers in the air and before we knew it the front door had slammed and they were gone.
**
Jace stood by the doorframe, looking into the dark room that was only lit slightly by the little nightlight on the side table. I pulled the covers up to cover Liam’s shoulders, watching him sleep peacefully, looking so innocent and beautiful I found it hard to believe someone like me created such a perfect thing.
I placed a small kiss on his forehead before turning and walking out of the room, closing the door quietly behind me.
Jace and I made our way to our bedroom, and pretty soon he had stripped down to his boxers and collapsed into the big double bed, his arms spread wide as he closed his eyes and groaned.
I let out a laugh “That’s what excessive drinking does to you lover.”
He groaned again “No, this is not due to excessive drinking. It’s due to the fact I stopped drinking and sobered up.”
I laughed again, taking off my blue skinny jeans and white top and changing into a pair of shorts and a white tank top. The only light in the room were the two side lamps by the bed, and I climbed into bed next to the oaf. He automatically turned on his side, one arm wrapping around my stomach as he pulled me closer to him. My hand began to stroke the arm that was around my stomach slowly as he buried his face in my shoulder.
“I may never drink again.” His voice was muffled against my skin, and I laughed at how he sounded. “I’m serious, I can barely move right now.”
Mere seconds later however, I felt his lips move against my shoulder as he placed small kisses along it.
“I thought you were too tired to move?” I questioned, my brows raised as his lips continued to trail along my skin until he was at the crook of my neck.
“That was until I remembered I had a MILF in my bed.” He mumbled against my neck, making me laugh. That laugh quickly turned into a moan as I felt his teeth graze against my skin and his hand slowly trail to the inside of my top and caress my hips.
He removed his lips from my neck and lifted his head above mine, his eyes locked with mine, flickering down to my lips every few seconds before I couldn’t take it anymore and slanted my chin up so our lips finally collided.
Still after all this time, his kisses set me on fire. Being in his arms and knowing that he wants me and only me after all this time was a feeling so good I could barely describe it.
He pulled away slightly, his breath heavy as he looked at me before a small smile creeped to his mouth.
“Still amazes me how after all this time, we finally got it all huh?” Jace whispered, placing a small kiss at the corner of my mouth “After everything we went through we managed to get this far. This is the type of shit movies are made of.”
I laughed “Oh yeah, all it took was me faking my own death to cover up the fact I got kidnapped and turned into an assassin for us to finally end up together. Somehow I don’t see that turning into an Oscar winning film do you?”
“Hell yes. Think about it, it’s got everything a movie needs to be hit. Action, death, love, humour and sex. If they made our story into a film it would be a bigger hit than the Twilight Saga, or as I like to call it, the movies that almost ended the film industry.” He commented scrunching his face in disgust at the thought of Twilight. I laughed again, knowing just how much he hated that film.
He referred to Edward Cullen as the ‘Frigid Paedophile Fairy’.
“Well if Spielberg calls then I’ll let you know.” I replied back, causing him to grin.
“Seriously thought Faith, we’ve finally got it al. Can’t really complain can you?” he raised a brow, the grin still on his lips.
I remained quiet for a minute, thinking about how my life ended up. I wanted a normal life, a life with Jace and now thanks to him I have a beautiful little boy who I would do anything for. We had our friends around us and we were happy.
Fair enough we argued, got on each other’s nerves and on many occasions I have thrown utensils at him in the heat of the moment, but I wouldn’t trade the life I had for anything.
Fair enough it wasn’t perfect, but in a way that’s what made it perfect for me.
I pushed him so he was lying next to me on his back before I cuddled up to him, his arm around my shoulders while I rested my head on his chest. I wrapped an arm around his stomach, and he grabbed my hand and tangled his fingers with mine. Even though I was the one who was trained in protecting myself, and others, I felt so safe in his arms. Safer than I ever have.
“No.” I finally spoke; closing my eyes and feeling the sleep take over me as his other hand stroked my back gently. I smiled “I really can’t complain.”
