"LO MEJOR QUE TE PUEDO DESEAR ES QUE TE VALLA MAL, Y LO PEOR QUE TU PUEDAS HACER ES QUERER REGRESAR. LO MEJOR DE TU VIDA FUI YO NO LO PUEDES NEGARRRRRR. Y LO PEOR DE MI VIDA ERES TU, HOY ME ACABO DE ENTERAR!"

"Nessa get off the damn table!" I hissed up at her, pulling on her hand only to have her snatch it away roughly.

"Tu siguele cantando mamacita!" a drunk guy sitting with a group of friends cheered her on. (You keep on singing mamacita!)

I glared at the man who was staring at my friend with lustful eyes, him along with his friends had been the ones to get Vanessa to jump up on the table and sing at the top of her lungs, when you're in a bar full of borrachos they are bound to want some entertainment. Especially from a pretty girl like Nessa.

I had to do something to get her down from there so we could go back to the mansion. We've already been gone for hours and probably everyone is already out on the streets looking for us.

"Get down here and have another drink with me!" I raised up the bottle of Jose Cuervo, tempting her, so that she would get her ass down.

She nodded, "Let's drink away our sorrows, amiga. Let's try to forget those stupid mennnnn" she slurred.

I let out a sigh of relief as I watched her attempt to jump off the table. I grabbed both of her hands in a tight grip to try and keep her from loosing her balance.

"Waiter bring me the check please" I yelled out at the young man who was standing facing away from me, taking care of another table.

He turned and waved a hand dismissively. "Boss said it was on the house"

"Really? Why?"

"Any friends of the Bustamante's are friends of my boss." he smiled politely.

I should have known. They practically own the damn state.

Vanessa laughed and swayed forward towards the waiter. "We're not friends with those chea--"

"Please ignore my friend" I put a hand over her mouth to shut her up. "Tell your boss that we appreciate the gesture" I told him as I began pulling the very drunk Vanessa towards the door.

As soon as we reached the exit, we were faced by the dark night. The small alley where the bar was located was completely empty, the large crowd that had been walking down the streets were long gone. I was stuck with a drunk Vanessa with no help what so ever.

Great.

"I want to go home" Vanessa whined, taking a seat in the middle of the street.

"Vanessa we have to go, you can't sit down and rest in the middle of the street!"

"But I'm tired."

"We have to start walking" I gave her a hand, pulling her up from her sitting position. "We'll just have to walk down to the main plaza and get a cab to drive us back to the mansion."

Vanessa and I began walking down the dark alley, she insisted on walking on her own but I had to keep an eye on her because she stumbled and swayed a bit as she walked. Even though she was very much intoxicated, she still sort of knew what was going on around her.

That's what I've always loved about Vanessa. She can drink all the drinks she wants and she'll still have some sort of sense that keeps her alert and cautious of what's going on around her.

Sofia on the other hand.... God, I don't even want to think about it.

"I'm so stupid" my red-headed friend spoke out. "I believed in him, Gabby! I thought he was different."

"Nessa let's just talk about this tomorrow."

"Life sucks, dude" she slurred. "Men are nothing but a bunch of lying, pendejos that can't keep it in their pants. They can't comm--" she didn't get to finish what she was saying because she tripped off on the sidewalk with a loud smack. "Ow!"

I chuckled at my tipsy friend. "Oh my God Vanessa!"

She started laughing and rolled on her back. I picked her up by the elbow as she continued to laugh uncontrollably.

"You should have recorded that!"

"You're a funny drunk, you know that?" I laughed along with her.

Wrapping her arm around my shoulder we continued to walk down the lonely street. I could see the lights of the plaza off in the distance but we still had long way to go.

Fuck. If only I hadn't let Vanessa drink so much! We should have just gone straight home and avoided the guys. Now I'm stuck in a dark alley in a place I barley know, with my crazy and emotional best friend.

As I continued on walking, dragging her along with me. I began to hear heavy footsteps behind me. I stopped to listen but was only met with the sound of laughter coming from the bar we just left.

"Why did you stop?" Vanessa asked.

My heart started beating wildly in my chest. "Shhh, I thought I heard something!"

"I didn't hear anything"

Now I was being paranoid. I need to get us the hell out of here before I cause myself a heart attack for no reason.

But a couple of steps later, the footsteps behind me returned and this time they were louder.

"Nessa run!" I yelled, pulling her roughly behind me. I held on to Vanessa and she stumbled along.

"There's some guys chasing after us" Nessa choked out as she tried to keep up with me. "Why are they after us?"

"I don't know. Just keep runn--"

Suddenly Vanessa's arms was pulled away from my hands and I turned around to see my friend sprawled out on the floor with a man on top of her. She squirmed under his weight but he held her down, pinning her arms in a tight grip by her side.

"Let her go!" I screamed, I ran towards him ready to pounce on his back to get him off her when I felt a pair of arms around my waist.

"There's no need to get violent, bella. We're not here to hurt you." a voice with a thick Italian accent whispered into my ear.

"Get off me!" Nessa yelled at the man.

"This girl is completely wasted" the guy laying on top of Vanessa spoke up to the man standing behind me. "She won't be of any use."

"Who are you? What do you want?" I asked, my eyes glued to the freak holding on to my friend.

I noticed there was one other guy standing off to the side but he wasn't getting involved since we weren't putting up much of a fight to protect ourselves.

"We just need to talk to you and get a few things cleared out. We don't want to hurt you ragazza but if you decide to be difficult you won't leave us any other choice."

It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that these guys wanted to talk about something dealing with the cartels and all the stupid shit we've had to deal with.

"I'll do whatever you want" I spoke through gritted teeth. "But can you please let go off me? I promise I won't try anything."

What's the use of fighting against them? It's three man against two girls...well actually, one girl since the other one is incapable of maintaining her own balance.

He let me go and I turned around to see a man who looked to be around his early thirties, dressed in similar dark suits as the bodyguards who work for the Bustamante's and my family. Except these suits looked more fancy and expensive.

"The red-head won't be of any use to us. Go ahead and drop her off close to the mansion, I'm sure their guards will find her. I don't want them to see you so try to stay as far away from them. Got it?"

The man nodded and stood up, pulling Vanessa up and pinning her arms behind her back. "Si signor" (Yes sir)

"No! I'm not leaving without Gabby!" Nessa shouted as they placed her in the back of an SUV.

"Venga con me, Gabriela" he motioned for me to follow. "We have a lot to talk about."

"How do you know my name?" I asked him as we both followed behind the other man who was leading us towards a black car parked in another street.

"There's a lot more things I know about you."

*~*~*~*~*

Santiago's P.O.V

Six hours. It's been six damn hours since Gabby and Vanessa have been missing and we still haven't got any news or received a damn call. My patience is running low, I can't stand being in this damn office knowing that she's out there. Fearing they might have been kidnapped by that son of a bitch Hector and his people.

I swear, I'll kill him. I swear on my mother's grave that I'll kill him if I find out he laid a single hand on her.

I tapped my gun anxiously against the large table while we waited for Chamuco to come back with news.

We were all sitting in the meeting room. With me at the head of the table, my father, my uncle Rafael, Don Salvador, Martin, Alejandro, Joel, Leo and Daniel. Gabriela's father was trying to act tough but the pained and worried look on his face gave away his true feelings.

He was terrified of what could happen to his daughter.

Leo on the other hand didn't even try to hide his worry. He kept walking in and out of the room, trying to get information from the millions of contacts we had around the state. Everyone seemed to be annoyed by his constant pacing around the room but I couldn't blame him. I felt the exact same way.

Desperate.

Except I actually knew how to hide it.

The door of the room opened and in walked Chamuco. We all stood up as he walked towards us with a grim look on his face.

"I got news from the owner of the cantina" he spoke out loud. "He says one of his waiter's saw them having a few drinks and they walked out of there at around 1:00 in the morning. He said Vanessa was really drunk but Gabriela was sober enough to take care of her."

It's already 3:00am, it has been over two hours since they left the bar. That means something definitely happened to them, they're probably being held as hostages to lure us into a trap.

"Did anyone see where they went after they walked out of there?" Leo asked.

Chamuco shook his head.

Everyone stayed silent.

"W-What do you suggest we do?" Don Salvador turned to look at my father for guidance.

"It's not up to me anymore. Santiago is the one who makes the decisions now."

Everyone turned to me.

"I want you to get in contact with Los Zetas" I said to Chamuco. "I want to set up a meeting with Hector, call for an agreement. I'll try to make a deal with them, there must something they want in exchange for the girls."

"I'm right on it" he nodded and walked off.

I turned to my cousins, my brother and Gabby's brothers. "You guys are coming with me to the meeting."

"What about us?" Don Salvador asked, referring to my dad and himself. "Is there anything we can do?"

"I want you to stay here and wait for any news." I could see he was about to protest but I continued before he could speak. "It'll also be better if you're here to support Victoria, I'm sure she's just as worried for your daughter as you are. You need to be with her right now."

"He's right dad, we'll take care of everything." Martin backed me up.

"I promise to bring your daughter back safe and sound" I gave him my word.

I tucked my gun behind me and walked out of the meeting room, everyone split up to get ready for the upcoming meeting. On my way towards my office I heard a lot of commotion downstairs so I quickly made my way down the long staircase.

I walked into the living room to see two of my guards helping Vanessa sit down on one of the couches. Sofia and Victoria were already in the room, checking over Nessa and making sure she was okay.

I ordered one of the maids to bring some painkillers for Nessa, it was obvious she had a headache from all the drinks she had at the cantina.

"Ness are you okay?" Sofi bent down to look at her sister. "What happened?"

"You guys shouldn't be worrying about me right now." Nessa looked up at me with a wild look in her eyes. "Gabby and I were attacked when we were on our way back home."

Victoria gasped. "Donde esta? Donde esta Gabriela?" (Where is she? Where's Gabriela?)

"We have to get her back!" Ness spoke in a rushed voice. "You have to get her back, Santi!"

"We're already taking care of it. I won't let Hector hurt her. But you've got to tell us everything you saw, we need as much information as we can get."

"Hector? The same guy who attacked her in the club?"

"Yes."

"It wasn't him" she shook her head. "These were some other guys."

It wasn't Hector? He's the only one who has something against us at the moment. There wasn't any other cartel that would attempt to hurt us, they were all too afraid to go against the Sinaloa cartel, especially when we were allied with the Gulf Cartel.

"Did you get a look at them or catch any of their names?"

She frowned. "They didn't say any names and I don't really remember what they looked like since I was being held on the ground by one of them. It all happened so fast, and everything is sort of blurry to me."

This has changed our whole plan completely. We don't even know who we're up against.

I pulled out my cell phone to call Leo and the rest of the men.

"We found Vanessa but Gabriela is still missing. Everyone go into the meeting room again, there's been a slight change of plans."

"She's here?" Leo breathed a sigh of relief. "Is she okay?"

"Yeah she's fine. I'm bringing her in the meeting room with me. I'll see you there."

I asked Vanessa to come with me and she gladly accepted with no objection. I could tell she wanted to get Gabriela back home as soon as possible.

On our way to the meeting room I texted Chamuco to let him know what was going on and to tell him to stop trying to contact Los Zetas and their leader Hector, now that we know Hector has nothing to do with this we don't want to give him the head's up on what's going on because he might try to sneak his way in and try to help out our new enemies.

As soon as we walked into the room Leo rushed over to grab Vanessa into his arms.

"Baby are you okay? Did they hurt you?" he asked as he inspected her, trying to see if they harmed her in any way.

Nessa looked a bit annoyed. She still hadn't forgotten of what happened earlier at the ice cream shop but she wasn't going to let her anger get the best of her at the moment. Her priority was to get Gabriela back.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me. We need to find Gabby" she grumbled, stepping out of his embrace and walking over to me.

"Does Hector have Gabby?" Alejandro asked.

"No. Vanessa said Hector has nothing to do with this." I informed everyone. "She doesn't remember much of the events but she's sure it wasn't them."

"What did they look like?" Martin spoke.

"I don't know!" Vanessa grumbled, rubbing her forehead. "I can't remember a lot of what happened."

"What were you girls even thinking" Joel growled. "And to make it even worse you got drunk! This is all your fault Vanessa!"

"Joel don't speak to her like that!" I yelled back at him. "This is nobody's fault. We can't be worrying about that right now, right now our main priority is Gabby!" I then turned to Nessa. "Vanessa, is there anything you remember that might give us a lead? Anything at all, think about it..."

I was desperately trying not to loose my calmness but the anxious feeling of not knowing where she is was getting the best of me.

I can't loose her. I won't loose her.

"I don't know...I....can't" she whimpered. "I...ummm.... They were speaking some weird language." she closed her eyes in concentration. "One of the guys had a very thick accent and he called us raggaza? Yeah! He said something like 'I don't want to hurt you raggaza'..."

"Son of a bitch" my father cursed out loud. "It's them"

"WHO?!" I yelled at my father.

"The Italians, son. Which means the rumors are true" he spoke in a deadly tone. "Hector has probably already turned them against us."

"She's in danger then, isn't she?" I rubbed my face and groaned.

"More than we originally thought."

That did it.

"I DON'T CARE WHAT WE HAVE TO DO, I WANT ALL MY PEOPLE OUT AND LOOKING FOR HER. I WANT MY ARMY PREPARED TO FIGHT. WE'RE GOING TO GET HER BACK AND WE'RE GOING TO GET HER BACK ALIVE. NO MATTER WHAT IT COSTS!"

*~*~*~*

Gabriela's P.O.V

They had me in a dark, cold room. Sitting on an old chair with my hands tied up to the legs of an old small wooden table. How cliché.

After hours of waiting for someone to tell me what was going on and getting no reply. I was fed up with their bullshit. I roughly tried to break the chain off the table, only succeeding in hurting my knuckles to the point where I knew they would leave bruises.

"I've been waiting here for hours!" I screamed. "What is taking so damn long?!"

I heard the jinggle of keys outside the door and my heart started to accelerate. What did they want? Were they planning on torturing me to death? They probably wanted me to give them inside information on what's going on with the Bustamante's and my father's cartel. Fat chance! They barley even told me what was going on.

The door opened and in came the unusual calm guy with the Italian accent. He had a big smile on his face as he took a seat on a chair across from me.

I glared at him.

"What are you smiling about?"

"Your people have already sent a search party. They're looking all over Sinaloa for you."

"Shouldn't you be scared instead of grinning like a mad-man?" I gave him a weird look.

"They're not going to find you, so I've got nothing to worry about." he shrugged.

My breathing stopped. He seemed so confident and careless about what's going on out there, even when he knows they're out there looking for me. What if he's right?! What if they never find me!

Oh God no. Santi!

Santi you have to rescue me. You can't give up on me, now.

"Who are you?" I whispered. "Why do you have me here?"

He tilted his head, feeling amused by the defeated look on my face. "Oh don't worry, sweetheart. You'll go back to your family. We just want you to give them a message from us, since you're the only one they'll listen to."

"A message?"

"Do you know who I am? He asked curiously.

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. If I knew who he was I wouldn't have asked him to give me an explanation of what was going on!

"My name" he paused dramatically. "My name is Gavin Ruozi and I came all the way from Sicily, Italy on behalf of my boss Luca Moretti."

What the hell?! Oh. It all made sense now... the weird looking men, the expensive suits, the fancy vehicles, the Italian accent! Does this mean that the Italians are taking Hector's side and trying to take down the Sinaloa and Gulf cartels?

"W-What does Luca Moretti want with us?"

"No, no, no, no, no" Gavin smirked at me evilly. "The question here is, what do your people want with us?"

"You're not making any sense."

"Don't play dumb with me" he growled, leaning closer to my face with an angry look on his eyes. "We've been getting warnings from people in Mexico, they told us that the Sinaloa Cartel and Gulf Cartel are working together to try and take over our business territory in the U.S."

I laughed. "Where in the world did you hear that from?"

"We've got people, mi amore." (my love)

"Let me guess" I tilted my head to the side mockingly. "Is this people of yours you're talking about go by the name of Hector?"

"Correct"

"Well let me tell you something..." I gave him a fake smile. "You came all the way to Mexico for nothing. Hector is an enemy of my father's cartel and he's pissed off because the Sinaloa cartel decided to join forces, the Bustamante's are trying to help my father keep his territory in Tamaulipas. Hector knows he's got no chance against them so he's trying to get you pendejos to join forces with him because he knows that's the only way he'll beat us."

He sat frozen on his spot, staring at me for a long time.

"How do I know you're not lying to me?"

"Gavin, do you really think the Sinaloa Cartel would get into a fight with the Cosa Nostra organization while they're helping aid my father in a big war going on in our own Country?"

He nodded. "True"

"Trust me, when the Sinaloa Cartel want to go to war with you guys...you'll know."

"So they really don't have anything against us?" he asked skeptically.

"Nothing at all"

Again he sat there staring at me for what felt like ages. I didn't dare speak up, to let him ponder over all the information I just gave him. Did he think I was lying, because if he did that would suck. If he believed in what Hector said he was going to start a war between two very powerful drug organizations...for no reason at all.

"Well" he stood up stretching. "I guess there's nothing else for me to do here, it's time for me and my boys to go back home."

WHAT THE HEL--

"It was very nice meeting you Gabriela"

He began to walk towards the door and I stared at him with a dumb-struck expression.

"WAIT!" I yelled after him. "COME HERE!"

"What?" he came back to stand in front of me with an irritated look.

I gestured to my hands "You have to untie me and take me back home"

"There's no need for that" he smiled. "I'll just send a message to your people so that they can come pick you up. I have to leave before they come get you."

"Why?!"

"You don't want a big fight breaking out between us, do you?"

Oh. I hadn't thought of that.

He suddenly pulled out a his cell-phone and pointed it at me sending a bright light around the room.

He took a picture of me.

"What was that for?!"

He grinned. "The big boss wants to see what you look like"

I gaped at him "Whaaa?"

"Don't worry" he winked "I told him that you were a bellissima ragazza."

He leaned down to kiss both of my cheeks. "Ciao Gabriela. Hopefully we'll meet again."

And with that said, he walked out of the room leaving me exactly in the same spot. Waiting to be rescued like a damsel in distress.

I know, I know! This is the first time I've uploaded a chapter in the longest time. I finished school a few days ago and finally had the time to sit down and write a chapter. I've been going through a lot of stuff in my personal life & if you add trying to keep up with school...it turns into a bit of a struggle to keep up.

There's a lot of things that I've had to deal with but I'm not about to rant about them on here. Just know that I won't give up on this story, I would never do that to the fans of MTTM. But on a good note, since my summer vacation it'll give me more time to sit down a brainstorm/write the following chapters. I wrote this whole chapter last night, I pulled an all nighter starting from 11am-6am. I am dead tired and I have to stay awake to take care of my little sister -___-

There's a lot more stuff that's going to happen! Gabby & Snati are going to have a hell of a ride!

I hope you enjoyed this chapter<3

Question of the day: If you had a chance to speak to a character in this story who would it be & what would you ask them? Write it in a comment below. I love reading what the fans have to say!
