"This is so sad!" Nessa cried as she pulled her last suit case over to the corner of the room where the rest of our stuff was already packed.
Today is our last day in Acapulco, Mexico and so far it's been absolutely depressing. I had to eat breakfast by myself because my two friends refused to get out of bed, they don't want to do anything and it's getting quite annoying. I understand that it's hard for them to leave Daniel and Leo behind, but do they really have to go too such extremes?
This is bad. This is really bad...They're hooked deeper than I thought. They are in love with these guys!
"Do we really have to leave tomorrow morning?" Sofi turned to look at me with a pout in her face. She was still in her pajamas just like her sister, they hadn't even bothered to fix their morning hair which is a huge shocker coming from Sofia.
"We promised Vince we'd be back for work" I reminded her.
"I know, I know!" she whined closing her eyes. "But can't we just call and ask for a few more days?"
I would gladly ask him for a few more days of vacation but wouldn't it be even harder for my friends to say goodbye to their boyfriends? It's better to save ourselves the pain of having to leave them.
"We can't do that Sofi" I responded as soon as I made up my mind. "We have to get back home...back to real life."
Nessa let out a loud groan as she stood up and walked over to stand in front of me with a scowl on her face. "Since when are you the mature and responsible one of the group?"she crossed her arms over her chest. "Isn't that Sofi's job?'
"Yeah, that's my job Gabbs!"
I shrugged putting on my poker face. "I just miss my mom a lot, I'm kind of homesick."
"Mhmmmm" they both narrowed their eyes suspiciously at me, and kept staring waiting for me to crack and tell them the truth, but I stayed put.
"We're leaving tomorrow and that's final" I stood up hurriedly and walked out into the balcony.
I immidiately heard their footsteps following after me, I leaned against the railing looking down at the beautiful view. Neither of them made an attempt to get closer to me, I guess they're trying to give me some space. This is unusual behavior of me and they know something is up but they also know that I won't say anything unless I'm ready.
"I guess we'll just have to come visit them whenever we can." Vanessa spoke up.
"They don't even live here Ness" Sofi reminded her. "Remember they told us they live in Culiacan, Sinaloa?"
"And there's no way your parents will let you girls go to Sinaloa" I spoke in a monotone without turning to look at them.
"Why not?"
I turned to look at them with a raised eyebrow. Isn't it obvious?
"Culiacan, Sinaloa is like DRUG CENTRAL.The most dangerous place in Mexico."
Nessa snorted. "It's not that bad Gabby, stop being a drama queen."
A drama queen?! I'm just stating a fact, this is a topic where I'm an expert. I grew up knowing all this.
"The number one drug cartel live in Sianloa!" I snapped, my anger boiling with rage. "Why do you think it's called THE SINALOA CARTEL?"
They cringed at the loudness of my voice, Sofi's face changed to one of guilt as soon as she realized we were basically talking about a taboo subject for me.
"I'm sorry" she whispered.
I just shook my head and turned my back on them, trying to make myself cool down. They shouldn't have to apologize, it's not their fault all this drug cartel crap fucked up my life.
They both joined me silently, on of them on either side of me and we didn't speak for a while. All this "last day" pressure has been a pain in the ass for all of us, something was bound to blow up any second so I don't blame them for their actions since I've been being a a bitch too.
"I'm sorry for acting so childish" Vanessa reached out to grab my hand and give it a gentle squeeze.
I turned to give them an apologetic smile and reached out to pull them closer to me in a small group hug. "There's no need to apologize" I sighed. "I know Daniel and Leo are very important to you two."
Sofi stared up at me with tears in her eyes. "But you're right Gabby! We can't just leave everything back home and stay here, we've got responsibilities..."
"Why is saying goodbye to them so hard? Nessa sniffled turning her head away from us.
Oh my God! Vanessa Lazcano is crying?! This is unbelievable, Nessa is as hard as a rock. She's never ever shown an emotion that in her words "make her look weak", Leo must be one heck of a guy to be the one she cries over.
Sofia's phone went off, preventing both Sofia and I from commenting on Vanessa's weird mood. We pulled apart to let Sofi reach for her cell phone but as soon as she pulled it out and saw who it was on the caller ID her face fell and she handed the phone over to me.
"I don't want to answer!"
I looked at the small screen to see: Daniel<3
"Answer it!" I exclaimed trying to hand her back the phone but she pushed my hand away, refusing to take it back.
She shook her head. "I don't want him to hear my voice! I'll probably burst out crying again... You answer!"
I rolled my eyes at her but did as she said.
"Hello?"
"Gabby?!" I was immediately greeted by Daniel's cheerful voice. "What are you doing with Sofi's phone?"
"Oh I had to answer it because Sofia is busy at the moment" I explained.
"Where is she?"
I turned to look at my friends so they could help me out but they both shrugged.
"She's...ummm.. in the restroom" an evil smile broke on my face as an idea came to me. "Taking a dump!"
That made both Vanessa and Daniel crack up while Sofi glared at me and slapped my arm.
"Ow!" I cried, rubbing it. "I'm just kidding Dany!" I laughed giving my friend a sheepish smile. "She's just taking a shower."
"Oh" he replied while chuckling slightly. "Okay. Well I was calling because we wanted to take you girls dancing, the guys and I thought it would be a good idea to go to a Club...why not party on your last day here?" he laughed.
Go clubbing with the guys? Nessa and Sofi perked up and nodded their heads like maniacs at me.
Ah what the heck! It's our last day, might as well enjoy it to the fullest.
"That would be great!" I said to him. "Of course we'll go..."
"Awesome! Be ready by 9:00pm, we'll pick you all up at your hotel."
"Sounds good. I'll see you later" I ended the call and gave the phone back to my friend.
Nessa and Sofi were jumping around in excitement, their gloomy mood long forgotten. I followed them as they rushed inside to open their already packed bags, hoping to find an outfit for tonight.
"Thank you so much!" Sofia rushed over to crush me in a hug. "I'm so happy you decided to come along."
I gave her a small smirk. "I wouldn't miss the chance to party on our last day here."
"Whoooo!" Nessa cheered from the other side of the room, throwing a big smile my way. "That's the Gabby we all know and love!"
"Now let's get ready for tonight girls!" Sofi ran over to pull out a pile of dresses from her bags.
********
"Come out I want to see it!"
I looked at myself in the mirror and couldn't help smiling. I had on my black corset shirt that hugged my body showing my curves, it gives me a sexy look while managing to not make me look slutty. Vanessa let me borrow one of her tight skinny jeans which looked good with my black stilettos. My friends had helped my curl my hair and do my make-up, making me look even better.
I was pleased with my final look.
When I walked out of the restroom my friend's eyes widened as soon as they took in my appearance.
Nessa let out a wolf-whistle while Sofi smiled widely at me, clapping her hands. "You look amazing Gabbs!"
"Thank you" I did a small twirl. "You girls look just as amazing!"
Vanessa was wearing a gray-beaded see through shirt with a black bra underneath and a short jean skirt that showed off her toned legs while her sister Sofia wore a black tight mini dress and black-leather finger-less gloves that gave her an edgy look.
"Let's go down to the lobby" Sofi ran over to grab her small purse from her bed. "Daniel texted me saying that they're waiting for us!"
We hurried out of the room, both Nessa and I ran over to the elevator and waited for Sofia to look up the room. When we reached our floor we immidiately spotted the guys waiting for us near the exit of the hotel.
"Hey, hey, hey!" I greeted them as soon as we reached them. "We're ready guys."
Daniel and Leo greeted me politely while Santiago and Joel stared at me with stunned faces, Santi was smart enough to cover up his shocked face but I could still see as he roamed my body, checking me out with those beautiful blue eyes of his.
" Gabby" Joel blinked, taking a step closer to me. "You look Hot!"
I gave him an awkward smile. "Thanks..."
"Alright let's get going!" Leo said walking ahead of us with an arm around a very happy Vanessa.
We all walked out towards Santiago's black truck that was waiting for us with the engine still running. Everyone agreed to sit in the same arrangement we sat when we came back from the carnival, which meant I would be riding in the front with Santiago. Oh joy...
Santiago stepped forward to open my door for me but Joel beat him to it, a wave of disappointment washed over me as I watched Santiago walk over to the driver's side while shaking his head.
"After you, pretty lady" Joel smirked waving a hand over the seat and stepping back to let me sit.
"Thank you Joel"
Santiago drove silently down the streets of Acapulco, the girls and guys were chatting animatedly in the back. They tried to get me in ther conversations asking questions every once in a while but I didn't really feel like talking at the moment. I was enjoying the quiet ride in the front with the greek-god looking guy.
"It's so quiet! Man turn on the radio and let's listen to some music" Leo called out to his cousin.
Santiago reached out to turn it on, pressing play on a CD.
"Mafia nueva Sinaloense, pura plebada de arranque. Carros de lujo y billetes, ropa de marca Ferrari. Traen la erencia de los viejos, comandando las ciudades!"
A corrido. I ran a hand through my hair nervously as I tried to keep myself from reaching out and turning off the radio. I felt someone's hand on my shoulder and turned around to see Sofia giving me a knowing look.
"I didn't know you were the corrido's type of guy" Nessa said outloud to Santiago.
He shrugged. "They're alright."
"Don't tell me you don't like this type of music?" Joel narrowed his eyes at my friends and I playfully. "This is the best music out there, it's all we listen too."
"That's just you, primo" Leo said jokingly."The rest of us enjoy all types of music."
"You girls didn't answer my question, what's so wrong with this kind of music?" Joel raised his eyebrows.
"There's nothing wrong with it" Sofi spoke, glancing at both Nessa and I. "We just don't really listen to it."
"You're really missing out"
Oh please! Missing out on what exactly? They're just a bunch of songs that brag or tell the stories of living the life of the drug lords.
"Those songs just speak a bunch of bullshit" I finally spoke through gritted teeth. Nessa's eyes widened as she saw the determined look on my face.
My friends know when I'm trying to get my point across it always ends up in an argument of some sort.
Santiago glanced at me, my response caught his attention.
"Why do you say that Gabby?" Daniel asked me.
"It's all bullshit guys" I laughed humorlessly. "Those songs just speak about the perks of being a drug dealer, about the money, the cars, the power and the women they get. How come they never talk about the real deal? The deaths, the killings, the pain in the ass it is to be in hiding and running away from the law? Who in their right mind would be okay with being famous for being a criminal?"
"Ah" Joel smirked. "So you're one of those people that is against all the Drug Cartel stuff?" he asked, sharing a secretive look with both of his cousins... and even his brother who was driving.
"I just think it's all so stupid. Do you guys like being afraid of going out of your home? All this drug thing has made Mexico one of the most dangerous places in the world. Especially in your hometown." I responded, remembering they were from Sinaloa.
"It's not that bad" Daniel piped up, laughing nervously.
I shook my head at their ignorance. "It's kind of ironic how you boys listen to songs about the bad guys that are destroying your home state."
"What bad guys?" Joel asked, with a hint of amusement in his tone.
I rolled my eyes. It's pretty obvious he know's who I'm talking about, but also kind of weird how he seems to be enjoying this conversation a little too much.
"El Cartel de Sinaloa!" Sofi answered for me. "Duh! Aren't they kind of famous in Sinaloa?"
All the guys in the back cracked up laughing while Santiago just had a faint smile on his face. Nessa, Sofi and I glanced at each other feeling totally confused. What is so funny about all of this?
Daniel threw his arm around Sofi's shoulder, still chuckling slightly. "Oh they're really famous, babe."
Okay...
"Whatever" I said, already feeling annoyed just talking about the topic." I wish I could get the chance to meet one of those Sinaloa Cartel assholes and ask them what the hell do they like about their fucked up life. I just don't understand..."
"Be careful what you wish for..." a smooth voice said from the driver's side.
My eyes snapped to Santiago who was looking at me with a knowing look in his face. There was something about that look that made me feel that he wasn't joking around when he said that.
"Yeah, yeah" I waved my hand dissmisivly.
Suddenley the truck came to a stop and I looked up to see we had already arrived to our destination. The building was packed with people trying to get in and there were colorful lights coming out from the windows.
Let the party begin...
**********
"Nos tomamos varios tragos y hasta este antro vine a parar, y la muchacha muy atrevida que tuvo tuvo queria bailar!" the music played loud while the dance floor was full of couples and drunk people dancing around in a circle.
"This club is really cool!" Nessa yelled over the music while she moved her body along to the beat of the song.
A guy in a black suit walked over to our group and gave Santiago a polite smile. "Su mesa privada ya esta lista joven Santiago, por favor siganme." the guys walked ahead motioning us over with a finger.
What the heck? Santiago reserved a PRIVATE table for our group? That must have cost him a fortune! I guess this family business he has with his family is pretty big, this explains all the fancy clothes and cars the guys have.
The man led us over to a large area where there was a table set up with chairs for everyone. I also noticed there were some body guards standing on every corner and one of them look really familiar. If it weren't for the fact that he snatched off his dark glasses as soon as he saw me, I wouldn't have recognized him.
Diego.
His eyes widened and he gave me a look, sending me a silent message of the silent question I knew he would be asking me if he could: What the fuck are you doing here with them?!
I tore my eyes away from him, glancing down at the floor feeling guilty. I can't believe he's here, oh my God I feel so bad! He took the time to go to my apartment to warn me about staying away from these guys and now here I am all good and dandy coming to a club with them.
"Gabby!" a group of voices called my name.
I snapped away from my thoughts to see everyone already sitting down on the chairs and staring up at me who was still standing alone like a dumb ass.
"Aren't you going to sit down?" Nessa asked, pulling down at my hand.
"Y-Yeah, sorry I was a bit distracted." I stuttered, taking a seat in between Vanessa and Joel.
"So..." Vanessa spoke up with a cough, probably trying to help get all the unwanted attention away from me. "You guys must be pretty loaded to be able to afford all this." she commented as a waiter came over to place a bottle of very expensive bottle of Tequila in the center of our table with seven little tequila-glass shots.
"My dad and uncle inherited a large amount of money from our grandfather, that's why we have the family business. It was passed down to us." Joel gave us a smug smile.
"That's cool" Sofi nodded looking unintersted. "Let's go dance! Isn't that what we came for?" she added excitedly.
"Of course" Daniel stood up and grabbed her hand. "Vamos!"
I watched as they disappeared into the crowd, Leo and Vanessa following soon after leaving me alone with Santiago, Joel and their bodyguards. Awkward. Why in the world would they need to bring bodyguards with them anyway?
"Would you like to go dance, Gabby" Joel asked nodding over to the dance floor.
Not with you.
"Uh, no thanks. I'm not in the dancing mood."
His eyes turned hard as he stared at me before shrugging it away. "Suit yourself. I'll be right back" He grumbled and stood up, walking away from our table. I lost sight of him soon too because the club was really crowded.
"Jerk" I muttered under my breath.
"Couldn't agree with you more" Santiago chuckled taking a sip from his alcoholic drink.
I blushed as soon as I realized he had heard the little comment I made about his brother. But then I remembered he doesn't give a crap about his brother.
"I-It's weird how you agree with me on that" I responded.
"He would do the same if you were talking bad about me" Santiago shook his head with an amused smile.
"You and your brother have a very peculiar relationship" I sighed, furrowing my eyebrows. There's definitely something else besides their sibling rivalry that made them have this "hate" for each other.
He didn't look surprised as I said this. "We get that a lot."
From the corner of my eye I saw Diego glaring daggers at Santiago and I, Santi also seemed to notice this because he turned to look at him with narrowed eyes, which caused Diego to look away nervously.
"Chamuco ven aca" (Chamuco come over here)
Diego looked stiff as he walked over to us hesitantly, he stopped in front of his boss. "Yes, Sir.?"
"Hay alguna rason por la que me miras como si me quisieras matar? Tienes algun problema conmigo?" Santiago asked boldly. (Is there a reason you are staring at me like you want to kill me? Do you have a problem with me.)
I shifted in my seat uncomfortably, feeling a bit out of place listening to this conversation. Chamuco looked like he wanted to run out of the club, he looked scared shit less.
"I-I don't k-know what you're talking a-about Sir."
Poor guy.
"I would like to say something" I whispered anxiously to Santigo. "I think the reason he was glaring at you is because he's a bit protective of me, you see Diego was the first person I met when we arrived to Acapulco. He's a good friend of mine."
"Is this true Chamuco?"
"Yes Sir, Gabby is like a sister to me" Diego said wincing a little at the word sister. "I'm just trying to look out for her."
Santiago looked unconvinced but nodded his head at us. "There's no need to worry, Chamuco. I would never hurt Gabby, at least not intentionally."
With that said Santiago dismissed him away and Diego walked back over to his spot looking slightly pale.
"He looks so scared of you."
Santi laughed, a slight smirk on his face. "I guess it comes with the whole being his boss thing." he shrugged. "Hey, I know you said you weren't in the dancing mood but I have a feeling you just said that to stay away from my brother. So, would you like to dance with me?"
"Sure!" I leapt to my feet nearly loosing my balance.
He grabbed my hand with an amused smile on his face and lead me over to the dance floor. There was a slow song playing so I silently thanked God that we wouldn't have to grind against each other like all the other people had been doing while we were sitting down.
I wrapped my arms around his neck while he put his hands on my waist and started swaying to the music. A few couples had walked off the dance floor leaving only a few people dancing to the song, pshhh all the other couples want to do is get down freaky with their partner, what the hell happened to having some self respect?
"Porfavor di que regresaras, dime que una vez mas te volvere a ver. Porfavor dime que volveras a ese mismo lugar donde te encontre" I sang softly along to the song. This was one of my favorites by La Original Banda Limon.
Then out of nowhere I heard Santiago continue the rest of the song with his smooth, chill-giving voice. "Bailamos, reimos y yo no te soltaba de la mano contigo, la noche se me fue casi volando suspiro. No se donde vives no eh vuelto a encontrarte no se ni a donde llamarte."
"I didn't know you liked this kind of music" I bit my lip, looking up at him trough my eyelashes.
"There's a lot of things you don't know about me" he leaned in to whisper in my ear.
This boy is something else...
"Mira a los enamorados bien juntitos" I heard Sofi's voice on my right side. (Look at the lovebirds together)
Snati and I both looked over to see Daniel and Sofi smirking at us while they danced.
"You know your brother has been staring daggers at you for a while now" Daniel said to his cousin laughing.
Oh shit! I completely forgot about Joel, I looked over to see him leaning against the bar taking big gulps out of his drink. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the night we have to drag him over to the truck because he's too drunk.
"Just ignore him" Santiago mumbled.
I agreed and pushed myself closer to him, he had been a total gentleman and kept me at arm's length apart but I wanted to take some risks tonight. I won't be seeing him anytime soon since I'll be going back home so I might as well enjoy the time I have with him while I can.
We danced a few other songs and after a while we both decided to go back to our table and sit down. I looked at my cell phone clock to see it was already 2am. we had already been here for five hours. My friends and their boys joined us soon after and we just sat in our table making small conversation and drinking.
"Hey we should get back to our hotel" I said to my friends. "We have to get some sleep before going to the airport."
"Awww, I don't want the night to end!" Nessa pouted leaning her head on Leo's shoulder.
"I agree with Gab--" Sofi's words were cut short when we heard two gun shots go off in the club.
"Oh my God!" Nessa and Sofi cried ducking under their seats.
"EVERYONE GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" a man dressed in black and wearing a cowboy hat yelled out. There were about nine other man standing behind him with guns in their hands
"LALO! JOSE! GO THROUGH THE BACK DOORS AND GET THE TRUCKS READY, WE HAVE TO GET OUT OF HERE. NOW!" Santiago screamed, and the two bodyguards sprinted away through a hallway.
The rest of them, including Diego stood in front of our table protectively while the people in the club were rushing out through their doors running away scared.
"What the hell are you doing?" I whispered desperately to Santiago. "We have to get out of here like they said!"
"Just stay quiet and you'll be safe!" Joel responded menacingly, I hadn't even noticed he had rushed over to where the rest of us were while the whole chaos was happening.
The place was soon empty, our group being the only one that stayed behind.
"Well look who we have here!" the man smirked advancing on us with his men right behind him. "If it isn't the Bustamante Boys..."
"What the fuck do you want Hector?" Santiago growled at the guy.
"Ah, ah ,ah. That's no way to talk to me"
"I'll talk to you however I want" he responded quickly.
The man named Hector laughed, shaking his head from side to side. "You're outnumbered Santiagito, I suggest you keep your mouth shut and follow my orders if you don't want to die."
Santiago's eyes narrowed angrily but he didn't respond because he knew the guy was right. There were only eight man on our side and that included our body guards while they had fifteen guys on theirs.
"What do you want? Santiago demanded, his voice in a cold rigid tone.
"Stand up and walk your asses over to that back exit" the guy ordered us pointing to the hallway the other guys had run into. "Stand up with your hands in the air and we'll follow behind you."
Santiago nodded at us, he stood up first motioning for me to stay close to his side. I looked over to see my friends were walking close to Leo and Daniel so that calmed me a little. We all followed after him, the 'evil' guys keeping an eye on us. He pushed the large door open that lead to the back of the club where the employees parked their cars and the large trash can dumpsters were located, there was no sing of people being back here which meant everyone had already ran away.
"I want all of you to stand by that wall with your arms spread out, don't try any funny business or we'll shoot you" Hector glared at each and everyone of us.
He motioned for one of his guys to walk over to the other end of our line and start searching us for any weapons while he walked over to the front of the line where Santiago was and started searching for weapons on him. When he found nothing on Santiago he moved on to me, an evil smirk on his face as he looked me over...most importantly my body.
"Well what do we have here" he grinned, sliding his hands slowly down my arms.
"DON'T TOUCH HER!" Santiago growled stepping forward to attack Hector but before he could do anything two of Hector's men had him pinned against the wall.
"No hay rason porque te enojes Santigo, que esta vieja no es otra mas de tus putas?" (There's no reason to get mad Santiago, isn't this bitch just another one of your whores?)
"I'm not a whore you asshole!" I spat.
Sofi's eyes widened in fright. "Gabby be quiet!"
He raised his hand up to her. "It's okay hermosa. Your friend's words don't bother me." (beautiful)
"Hector just let the girls leave, they have nothing to do with all of this" Daniel spoke up for the first time.
"No can do, Dany. I can't take any risks..."
What the fuck is all this shit about? What do Santiago and the guy's have to do with this asshole, and how do they know him? Is this one of the things Diego had warned me about? Was he trying to prevent something like this from happening.
Of course he was.
"I came here to kill all of you." Hector stated coldly. "We can't let you join forces with our enemy and take over our territory, you should have never agreed to help them out. Now you have to pay the price." he raised his gun up to Santiago's forehead.
Oh no, this can't be happening! He can't kill Santiago, who is he talking about? What kind of things are our boys involved in?!
"Why don't you pretty girls turn to face the wall?" he cocked his head to the side, thoughtfully. "I don't want to see those beautiful faces drain out of life after I shoot you."
I could hear Sofi sobbing loudly after he spoke those words, I turned to see Vanessa looking grim, she wasn't shedding one tear, weakness was something she didn't want Hector to have the satisfaction of seeing.
I turned around facing the wall, looking up to see Santiago staring down on me with a pained look on his face. I let my body slump down to the floor, sitting on my knees while I prayed silently in my head.
God please help us out. This is not the way our lives should end, Sofi and Nessa don't deserve this. Please, please do something.
"Bye bye Santiago"
I closed my eyes to hear gunshots in the air. I sat there waiting for the impact of the bullet but it never came.
"Shit! They're here. We have to leave" I heard Hector say in a panicked voice.
I turned to see three large trucks come to a stop in front of Hector, he jumped into one of the trucks the rest of his men running over to one of the other two vehicles. And just like that they screeched out of sight.
Everyone stood frozen to their spots as we all let it sink in.
They left! They ran away like scared little rats.
But why?
Nessa and I rushed over to Sofi who was leaning against the wall staring off into space, her cheeks were flushed and there was dry mascara on her face from all the crying.
"Sofi!" Vanessa shook her sister. "Sofi are you okay?"
Sofia nodded her head slowly without looking at us. Daniel bent down in front of her looking into her eyes. "Baby everything is okay, everyone is fine!"
Suddenly out of nowhere a black BMW came to a stop in front of us. I watched Santiago as he walked over to the truck.
"Can you stand up, Sofi? We have to get out of here." I reached out to help her up with the help of Vanessa and Daniel. Her legs were a little wobbly so Vanessa and Dany had to basically support her while she walked.
Santiago and the rest of the guys were standing in a circle around the two guys who had arrived in the truck. They were both facing away from me as they stood in front of Santiago, talking to him.
I walked closer to them, standing behind two of our bodyguards. Nobody seemed to notice my presence so I just stood there listening to their conversation.
"Two of your men informed some of our people of what was going on" on of the mysterious guy's spoke, his voice sounded strangely familiar. "We got here yesterday to take care of some business, and as soon as we heard what was going on we decided to come here and check that you were okay."
"I appreciate your help" Santiago said politely. "We wouldn't have made it out alive if it weren't for your men scaring them away."
"Is everyone okay?" the familiar voice from before asked. "We heard you were here with some friends. Are they okay?
"Yes everyone is alright"
Okay I want to know what the hell they're talking about, they own us a huge explanation after that near death experience. We almost died because of them!
"Santiago" I called out. "Can I please talk to you?"
The bodyguards standing in front of me stepped aside putting me in full view in front of the guys. The two strangers turned around at the sound of my voice and I nearly fainted when I saw who they were, no wonder their voices sounded familiar.
That's when I broke down and I couldn't do anything to stop the tears, tears of joy, tears of shock but most of all I cried because I finally understood what was going on.
My past just keeps coming back.
"Gabriela!" they both yelled out my name.
Standing in front of me were: Alejandro and Martin
My brothers.
