SWEET BANNER BY @ETHNICALLYCONFUSED

I turned off the faucet and dried my hands, walking out of the washroom. I made my way back towards the dining table where the guys were going over the plan and preparing a few gadgets. Nathan had said they'd need something to put a hole in the roof from where they'd pull out Hana. Nathan had also said he'd teach the guys a few of his combat/ninja moves. I had insisted that I learned some too.

As I started entering back into the conference room, there was a loud knock on the door.

Everyone seemed to freeze and shut up.

I found Nathan's gaze and he mouthed the chipmunk's name. I nodded and quickly tiptoed towards Tyler, Dustin and Landon. I grabbed their wrists and pulled them down the hall, motioning them to stay quiet.

"You two need to stay in here until Max comes in and tells you when it's safe." I spoke quickly, shutting the door to Dustin's room behind me and facing the three boys.

"Why? Is the chipmunk mob boss here?" Tyler asked with a raised brow.

I nodded. "I gotta go now and act like the depressed kidnapped girl that I should be so I'll see you two in a bit." I quickly explained, before opening the door and heading outside.

"Wait!" Landon whispered, grabbing my arm.

I turned and waited for him to continue.

"Be careful Sky." He spoke with all seriousness.

I nodded, before shooting them a wink and pointing a fake gun at them, heading out the door. The last thing I saw were their eye rolls as I shut the door and turned around to go face the evil chipmunk.

I walked in to see that Nathan had just opened the door for Ryland. The chipmunk walked into the apartment, looking around. His eyes finally set on me, an evil grin forming on his face.

"It's time for another lovely meeting." He said in a sing-song voice, turning to look behind him. "Grab her." He ordered and two men dressed in all black stepped in, starting towards me.

As they came closer, I realized that they were both surprisingly around my age, no older than twenty.

Nathan looked as if he was going to interfere but I shot him a quick warning look, before letting the two boys grab my arms and pull me out the door, their faces expressionless the whole time.

"Hiring teens to do your dirty work? That's just sick." I couldn't help but spit out at Alvin as we passed him.

He just sneered at me. "I'm providing better opportunities for these lemon potheads than they could ever find themselves." He stated proudly.

I looked up to see the two boys' reaction. What really sickened me were their stoic faces, as if they were robots.

"Tie her down once you get there. I'll be down in ten." He ordered the boys as they stopped in front of him. They solemnly nodded, before continuing on.

I craned my neck to see Alvin walking towards Nathan, starting to discuss something heatedly. My view of them was suddenly cut off as the door slammed shut.

As we reached the elevator and waited for its arrival, I looked up at my two captors, trying to search for the slightest hint of emotion. They just kept their faces blank and continued staring ahead silently.

Once we stepped in, I decided to try and talk to them. "So what did the chipmunk do to get you young boys to join is evil mafia?" I asked casually, looking at each of them. The one to my right had dark brown hair with hazel eyes and soft features. The one to my left had dirty blonde hair and cold blue eyes, his features more sharp. He didn't exactly look as friendly as brunette boy over to my right.

They both ignored my question, brunette boy sparing me a glance with his blank eyes.

They really were robots...

I tried to think of something else to say, but the doors to the elevator opened and they dragged me out. It was quite nice actually, I simply went limp and let the fronts of my feet drag as they did all the work, using their arms to hold me up.

We walked down the same corridor that I had walked down the day Nathan had brought me down here. The only difference was I had been with an actual human then, not robots.

Brunette boy opened the door with a key and helped blondie carry me through the door. They led me to a chair then roughly dropped me into it, emitting a yelp of pain from my end. It didn't help that the chair was metal.

I glared at the two robots but they simply ignored me, busying themselves by tying me to the chair with a thick rope.

"Really? Am I that much of a threat that you have to tie me down to a chair?" I asked them, raising a brow.

Brunette boy just let out a grunt from the floor where he was tying my feet and blondie stopped tying my wrists to stare at me.

If his plan was to look intimidating, it worked. His cold eyes made me slightly shrink back in my chair and I decided to shut up.

They continued tying me up in peace and I started counting the seconds. I wanted to see if Alvin really was true to his word and would actually be down in exactly ten minutes. I was also sort of hoping that Nathan would come too.

After counting up to four minutes, I got tired and the silence was killing me, so I thought of ways to start up a conversation with the two boys that were still tying me up. I looked down to see that there wasn't even a spot of myself that I could see anymore. They had really tied me down like it was their destiny.

I tried squirming and noticed that it only made the knots around me constrict, so I stopped.

I suddenly got an idea to break the silence and possibly agitate the boys. If annoying them meant that they'd finally speak, then so be it.

"Don't you ever say I just walked away, I will always want you..." I started singing quietly, causing brunette boy to stop briefly and look up. Blondie ignored me and brunette boy decided to do the same, so they went back to tying knots.

"I can't live a lie, running for my life, I will always want you..." I sang the next part but this time neither of them reacted.

I waited for the perfect timing, before bursting my heart out. "I CAME IN LIKE A WRECKING BALL!" I sang at the top of my lungs, causing them both to jump in surprise and then wince at my beautiful singing voice.

"What the hell are you doing!?" Brunette boy was the first to finally speak.

"I NEVER HIT SO HARD IN LOVE!" I yelled, ignoring brunette boy.

"Dude make her stop!" Brunette boy turned to blondie in panic, who had been trying his hardest to keep ignoring me.

"Just ignore her." Blondie grumbled, pulling at the rope tighter than necessary.

Wrong answer blondie...

"ALL I WANTED WAS TO BREAK YOUR WALLS!" I continued on. Brunette boy stopped and slapped both hands over his ears while blondie continued tying knots. He really was a hard shell to crack.

"ALL YOU EVER DID WAS... WRE-E-ECK ME! Yeah you... YOU WRE-E-ECKED ME!" I burst out. By now my throat was starting to hurt.

"Shut up goddammit!" Blondie finally cracked, standing up and glaring down at me. I noticed he was grinding his teeth together and his fists were clenched in anger.

"Only on one condition." I stopped my singing for a split second, giving him an evil smirk.

Brunette boy turned to blondie with pleading eyes.

"No, you don't get to give orders here. I'm the one that--" I didn't let blondie finish.

"I never meant to start a war..." I lowered my voice just like Miley did in the song.

Blondie's anger seemed to rise and he opened his mouth but I kept going.

"I just wanted you to let me in..." I trailed off.

Brunette boy was looking at me cautiously, waiting for an outburst again. I decided to skip some of the song just so I could get to the chorus faster.

"But don't you ever say I just walked away I will always want you. I can't live a lie, running for my life. I will always want you..." I trailed off and left the room in a scary silence.

Brunette boy looked like he was about to pee his pants right then and there and blondie was giving me a sinister look.

Giving a wink at brunette boy and shooting an evil smirk at blondie, I prepared myself.

Just as I opened my mouth, blondie broke. "Okay okay fine! We'll do whatever it is you want just don't sing anymore!"

I smirked smugly, before firing my first question at brunette boy. "I just want to know... How come you're not at home with your family celebrating Christmas like you should be?" I asked curiously.

Brunette boy looked surprised at my question, but quickly recovered. "I'm doing my family a favor by working today." He stated. I saw a flicker of sadness in his eyes, but it was gone in a flash.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked him next, my tone softer. "And don't say because you need money, there's plenty of other jobs out there for that." I quickly added.

He looked hesitant to answer. "Because I have to." His voice was barely a whisper.

I had gotten him to crack. I knew at the end of the day, these two men were just young boys holding up a strong front to hide something far more dark and twisted. I knew that from my own sexy kidnapper.

My heart softened towards the boy as I saw sadness take over his eyes.

"Alright that's enough. I don't want to get caught telling this brat stuff we're not supposed to." Blondie cut in, glaring at me.

I glared right back. "How could you be scared of a small chipmunk?" I asked him with a raised brow.

"Chipmunk?" He asked, confused.

"Like Alvin from Alvin and the Chipmunks." I sighed out. How many times would I have to explain this? The comparison was quite obvious and clear.

Brunette boy accidentally let out a small chuckle and blondie just stared at me curiously.

"What does it matter to you why we're here?" Blondie asked me suddenly, his tone edged with defense.

I met his cold blue eyes. So emotionless and guarded. "Alvin's like a giant evil whining crow, but it doesn't mean that all his men are like him." I explained. "Obviously you both just want to be home with your families right now, celebrating Christmas instead of being trapped here and treated like robots." I said confidently, not breaking eye-contact with blondie. "I know I do." I added softly after, more to myself.

Although I did have my brother, my best friends and my boyfriend around me, I'd rather be celebrating Christmas with them than being stuck here in this situation. We were all just teens. We didn't deserve this. We shouldn't be planning on getting a thirteen year old out of some mafia prison place. But I knew better than to sulk around and think of all the what ifs. This situation was given to us and we couldn't just avoid it and run from it. That was why I'd been so positive throughout it all, that was how I came up with a plan.

"She's right Cody." Brunette boy commented after a while, talking to the blond. So that's what his name was...

"Alright maybe I'm being a bit too harsh." Cody admitted with a sigh. "But I was just doing my job." He defended after.

I gave him a small smile. "It's alright, I can only imagine what Alvin would do to you if he found out you'd gone all soft." I grinned after that.

He just gave me a look, before shaking his head and letting a small smile show for a brief second.

I was happy to see some emotion in him.

"Well you've got a lot of confidence and fight in you kid, I can't say I'm not surprised." He commented after, giving me a smirk.

"Kid?" I said in confusion. "You're probably the same age as me bozo." I muttered.

His gaze hardened. "You better watch what you say. I may have given you the wrong impression by smiling. I won't let you call me names." He threatened, cracking a smile after a long intense silence.

It was scary how swiftly he could switch back and forth with his exterior.

"Well what were your guys' plans to torture me?" I asked casually, looking at both of them.

Brunette boy quickly answered. "Torture? No, we'd never hit a girl, we weren't planning on hurting you or anything." He rushed out quickly, clearing up my assumption.

I smiled at him. "Good. I can't really imagine you hurting anyone." I said. "But blondie over there doesn't look too friendly." I said afterwards.

He just gave me a death glare. "Don't make me tie another layer of knots over you." He threatened, looking serious.

"Well then I guess I'd just have to sing again..." I trailed off with an innocent smile.

I snickered as their eyes grew wide in fear and they took a step back.

Before they could say anything, the door banged open and in walked the stout chipmunk. He reminded me of a plum...

Cody and brunette boy suddenly stepped on either side of me, looking emotionless and guarded once again.

"Skylar, Skylar, Skylar." Alvin dragged my name out, walking towards me in slow steps. "Do I have a lot to tell you." He grinned evilly at me.

"Sweet! I was kind of hoping for a story." I said enthusiastically with a smile. I noticed Nathan step into the room over Alvin's shoulder and couldn't help but relax just a little.

His eyes searched for mine and once they found them, he relaxed too. But his gaze hardened as he took in the knots covering me.

"Glad to hear your interest, especially since this involves your family and why you're here." He grinned at me like Lucifer from Cinderella.

"Awesome. I've been waiting for this talk." I said back with a huge smile. I wasn't sure if I was ticking him off with my perkiness or just looking plain stupid.

"Alright, shall we begin?" He asked in a calm tone. If he was agitated with me, then he was doing a good job of not showing it.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm all set for story time." I said, looking up at Cody and brunette boy.

They both spared me a quick glance, brunette boy looked surprised at my attitude and Cody just looked amused.

"Good. So let's start with your real father." Alvin started off, his tone going into story mode.

I held my breath, bracing myself for whatever he'd say next. My real dad was a topic I had always avoided and had just recently opened up about to Nathan.

"Or should I say, my brother." Alvin added, looking at me evilly.

My heart stopped, my jaw dropped, the world seemed to freeze and I couldn't do anything but stare. After a while of it sinking in, I found my tongue again.

"No. No no no." I said, shaking my head furiously, not believing him.

"Oh but yes. It's true Sky. So I suggest you stay calling me Uncle--" I didn't let him finish as I let out a cry of agony.

"So- so this means I'm related to- I'm related to a chipmunk!" I cried out in shock. This couldn't be. I couldn't imagine being related to this chipmunk.

"Chipmunk?" Alvin asked confusedly.

Oops... I had slipped! I quickly tried to plot up a distraction.

"Oh the shame!" I cried out dramatically. "The agony!" I added, looking up at the ceiling.

Alvin gave me an annoyed look, before turning around to face Nathan. "Rag her." He ordered.

I snapped my head back down to see Nathan coming towards me with a rag in his hand. As he passed Alvin, I could see he was shocked by the revelation as well. Or maybe just my reaction to it.

Once he was behind me, a black cloth appeared in front of me and before I could protest, Nathan had already started tying it.

Once the rag was firmly in place, Nathan walked past me and back to Alvin's side, shooting me a wink that I almost missed.

I shot him a look back.

I knew the sexy stripper liked having that rag around my mouth...

"Now that I can speak again without any interruptions." He said sternly, looking at me with a deadly squint. "Let me tell you what your father really was." He said.

I kept my eyes void of any emotion he was trying to pull out of me.

"Skylar my dear niece." He started off with a sickening smile.

I growled at him.

"I'm not over exaggerating when I say this, but..." He trailed off. "I'm in one of the country's most dangerous and largest mafias. And so was your father. I knew you weren't always exactly... close with your father which is why you never met your grandfather. You see Skylar, a girl like you should be happy to be related to a family like ours." He said with a grin. "You know why?" He asked me, leaning in closer.

I stared at him blankly.

"Because your grandfather is the leader of this mafia." He said slowly, grinning at me like a madman.

So he was saying that some old guy is a leader of some mafia? The old guy being my own grandfather?

"You see, your father was a great man in the mafia, he was going to be the next leader. Your grandfather was going to hand him the throne. Everything was going well but then your step father had to come in and ruin everything!" He yelled out angrily. "He tore your dad's life from him! He took his family. His own wife." He spoke through clenched teeth.

I stared at him in confusion. My real dad had nothing to lose. Why would he even care about the family he never loved and only abused?

"The bastard Randy made your dad sink into depression. He was so far gone that he didn't even notice that night when our rival gang was following him. He had his back turned when they shot him up like cowards." Alvin spoke angrily, looking upset all of a sudden.

I was truly shocked by now. My real father who I had tried so hard to erase from my memories was... dead. The last thing I had known about him was that he had ran off...

"Anyways, once your dad left us, the gang fell to pieces. Your grandfather had a heart attack once he found out the news, and with no leader to run the gang, chaos erupted." He shook his head. "So I automatically became the new leader. I didn't want this because I knew I wasn't fit for it, but I knew I had to take control. So here I am, getting revenge on that bastard Randy for ruining my life, my family and my gang." He finished with a sigh. "And I can't wait to do the same to him." He shot me an uncomfortable grin.

I stared at the man in shock, never expecting this. I was basically here to help my chipmunk-mafia-leader uncle get revenge on my step-father who I wanted nothing to do with.

But things weren't making sense. I knew for a fact that my step-father only cared about himself and possibly my mother. He never spared a second glance at my brother nor me. Neither my mother nor my step-father really cared about what would happen to us. I mean, it had been almost a year since I last saw them.

I was honestly aggravated at this point. My brother and I were getting dragged into this whole mess when being tied to that man was the last thing we wanted.

But I guess that didn't matter to Alvin. His drive for revenge was too strong to care. All he cared about was total destruction and obliteration.

I snapped my eyes to the crazed small man and gave nothing away. Finding out why I was here still didn't solve anything. All it did was grow my frustration towards him. But just like Nathan, just like Cody and brunette boy, I was left helpless. But this was why it was all about to change. So, I kept quiet, not like I had any choice due to the lovely rag from Nathan around my mouth, and decided that sticking to the plan was truly the only way out. Save Hana, put Alvin behind bars, and just put this whole thing behind me.

I just wished that he hadn't revealed his relation to me. That was what sickened me the most. But I had learnt a long time ago to disassociate that entire side of the family. I knew my real father wasn't a good man and I'd erased him from my life, and I could just as easily do the same with this crazed small man. Regardless, I still prayed that my real father had found rest and ease now. But it no doubt made me feel uneasy and sick to think that my own uncle was the cause of all of this-- Nathan and his family's suffering, my own family's suffering.

Blood didn't always mean family, and this bloody chipmunk was about to face the entire wrath of I, Skylar Scrowbar. The best part was, he wouldn't even see it coming.
