This chick makes me the best banners --> @ethnicallyconfused

Shock, surprise, panic, uncertainty, amusement. Those were all the emotions I had been expecting to see in Nathan's eyes.

Yet instead, I watched as his pupils dilated over his striking green eyes and his next words struck me to the core. "I love you too, Skylar."

I felt... full. I felt complete. I felt any and all anxiety, doubt, and worry leave my body at once. I felt the genuine reciprocation of the emotion through his eyes, through his words, and through his overall presence as he held me close to him in bed.

I blinked past my shock and let my face break out into a huge smile. "I was scared you wouldn't say it back." I admitted.

"I was scared I was the only one who felt it." He replied.

I looked up at the man that I now undoubtedly loved and felt my heart swell. I felt closer to him than ever, and felt like I was truly floating on clouds. And he was right there with me.

He pulled me closer slowly and took in my face, his eyes burning fully now with that emotion which was once unknown to me. I let my love for him fully shine too. It was in everything. The way he gently held my waist, the way he looked at me, the way I rested my hands against his chest.

Then, ever so slowly, we moved closer and our eyes fluttered shut as we kissed for the first time in love. I felt the sparks stronger than ever and let my body fill with electrifying life and love.

Once we pulled away, Nathan rested his forehead against mine, his striking green eyes more emerald than ever. Then he told me the three sweetest words that I loved.

"I love you." He breathed out.

I pulled him into a sweet kiss before replying. "I love you."

We lay like that for a while, sharing kisses and confessions for a while until we dozed off.

I fell asleep with a smile on my face, glad that this wasn't all just a dream.

Not only was I dating my kidnapper and constructing a plan to help him out, I fell deeply in love with him through it all. It may seem crazy, but crazy was basically my middle name by now.

I was crazily, madly, deeply, truly, and eternally in love with my sexy kidnapper. And him feeling the same way was the sweetest frosting on the cake.

-

"Skylar."

Yes sheep?

"Hey, Skylar."

Hey sheep.

"Skylar."

What?

"Skylar, I swear."

Now now, no need for profanities.

"You asked for it."

Before I could ask what the fluffy white sheep was talking about, a sudden force jerked me awake.

I suddenly sat up, spluttering out the ice cold water some dead man had decided to throw on me.

After getting my now wet hair out of my face, I looked around madly for the culprit.

Ah. Of course. Who else would it be?

"Rise 'n' shine beautiful." A saccharine Nathan said with a smirk.

"Did you manage to call an undertaker?" I asked him with a small frown.

"What?" Nathan's smug look slightly faded as confusion clouded his eyes.

"CUZ WE'RE GONNA NEED ONE ONCE I'M DONE WITH YOU!" I yelled, before throwing the wet covers to the side and jumping out of bed.

I made it three steps towards my now scared looking boyfriend before my brain which was still half asleep decided that I should give the floor a nice hug instead of continuing on to commit my first murder.

As soon as my body collided with the floor, the sound of Nathan's loud laughter filled the room as I groaned and all my anger and energy I had suddenly conjured up disappeared and sleep took over once again.

I decided that falling back asleep right then and there was better than standing back up to face all the embarrassment Nathan was sure to ensue upon me.

Once his laughter had finally died down, I heard his footsteps walk over to me.

"Shouldn't have stayed up so late telling me you loved me all night." Nathan winked.

That caused me to snap wide awake and my eyes widened, then a feeling of euphoria encased my body as I remembered the magic from last night.

"I love you princess." Nathan added, holding out a hand for me now.

I felt butterflies in my stomach and my heart beating faster as I looked up into his loving eyes.

"I love you too." I said, taking his hand and letting him pull me up against his body.

"Now go get ready. Today's the day." Nathan reminded, pulling me in for a kiss.

"Yes!" I exclaimed all of a sudden, pushing away from him and sprinting off to go shower and get ready.

Today was the day. The day that would change everything for the better. Imagining Nathan and I walking along a beach and hearing him tell me those three words was more than enough motivation to tackle and dominate this mission head on.

After I had brushed my teeth, thrown on a random loose shirt with jeans, considering the fact that I would be swapping clothes with a flight attendant there anyways, and had two waffles, I found myself climbing into a suitcase.

"Are you sure Ryland won't recognize them?" I asked Nathan with worry and doubt, pausing half-way in the suitcase.

Tyler, Landon and Max were all currently wearing the outfits of three knocked out, tied up and gagged guards who were currently locked up somewhere in the parking garage. Nathan had explained to me how they had managed to strip off all that black gear from Ryland's three guards after knocking them out, all while I was sleeping.

Now, the three boys stood in black and grey camo pants, black full-sleeved athletic shirts, and black combat boots, all topped off with a pair of dark aviators. I was still wondering how they'd get past airport security.

"I'm sure. He doesn't even keep track of his own men. Worst case scenario, I'll say the three called in sick and these are the fill-ins. Half their faces are covered anyways." Nathan reassured me with a small smile. "Everything will be fine, I promise." Nathan spoke softly, now holding my shoulders.

I took a calming breath, before nodding and giving him an appreciative smile. That was much needed.

"Man, how am I gonna keep all those ladies away with my attractiveness? I think this outfit may be a bit too sexy for the female population." Landon stated, breaking that little moment I had been having with Nathan, walking towards me now with an arrogant smirk.

"You look like one of those douchey CSI agents." I said flatly, causing Landon's smirk to drop.

"She's just cranky because she has to sit in a cramped suitcase in the back of an SUV for twenty minutes." Max said now, joining our conversation and shooting me a look of mock sympathy.

I shot Max a glare and opened my mouth to give him a not-so-nice retort, but was cut off by my lovely boyfriend.

"Okay, okay. Now let's save the bickering for later. We have a flight to catch." He spoke to us like he was some kindergarten teacher talking to his class. "Skylar, get into your suitcase." He said now, turning to me with a stern look.

"If we weren't on such a tight schedule, I would be smacking you repeatedly right now." I scowled at him.

"I know, that's why I chose this as a good time to order you around." Nathan grinned at me cheekily.

I resisted the urge to take my shoe off and chuck it at him. It was quite tempting.

So I stuck with another one of my icy glares and eventually complied.

"See you on the flip side!" Max said cheerfully, bidding his farewell to me, even though I'd be in the same vehicle as him.

I simply rolled my eyes at him, but gave him a mock salute.

"Have fun in that cramped suitcase." Tyler said now, grinning at me evilly.

"I'd rather that than be sitting in a cramped airplane seat." I snapped back with a smirk. "Oh the perks of being a flight attendant." I sighed dreamily, smirking when Tyler scowled.

"Well that's enough dilly dallying, chop chop now, places everyone." Max clapped his hands together, reminding me of an enthusiastic cheerleader.

"Who put you in charge?" I asked with a raised brow, silently challenging him.

"Well since I'm the eldest one here, I thought I'd take the responsible role." He retorted, crossing his arms and attempting to look stern and proper. Key word, attempting.

"Actually I'm in charge on this one, sorry bro." Nathan said, stepping forward now.

"What? Why? Give me three good reasons why I shouldn't be the leader on this mission." Max argued.

Nathan sighed, looking tired of all this arguing, but nevertheless gave his reasons. "One, we need a strong, calculating leader for this mission, not an overly-enthusiastic cheerleader, no offense to cheerleaders. Two, I'm the only one here that knows the building inside and out, not you. And three, I'm the most attractive one here." Nathan grinned at the end and shot a wink in my direction, causing me to roll my eyes.

"Oh, and you think all those things fit you?" Landon piped up.

"Yeah! And the last one wasn't even a real reason!" Tyler agreed.

"It also wasn't true, clearly." Max added in.

"Are you guys really gonna do this right now?" I sighed in frustration, causing all the boys to pause.

"You're fighting over who gets to be team captain? Come on guys, this is a serious mission, not some silly game of cops and robbers." I said, crossing my arms at the end.

No one said anything for a while. I think they finally realized how childish they had been acting.

"Party-pooper." Landon muttered under his breath.

I stand corrected...

"She's right guys, we should be heading down now, we don't want Ryland suspecting anything of us." Nathan decided to back me up like a good boyfriend should.

"Whatever." Tyler shrugged.

I held in a chuckle, along with Nathan, before finally climbing into my suitcase.

"I love you." Nathan said quietly just before I dipped my head inside the suitcase.

"I love you too. And handle me with care." I gave him a stern look.

"Always." Nathan grinned, before zipping me fully up.

Two minutes later, we were heading down the elevator, Nathan carrying me with care.

I was a bit disappointed that I hadn't been able to say goodbye to Dustin and Jordan, considering they were still asleep. Nathan had told me not to wake them, he was afraid Dustin would get a bit emotional. Oh well, I planned on seeing him again soon after, along with his thirteen year old sister.

"What took you so long?" I heard Ryland's voice from a few feet away. I sighed in relief when I realized he didn't notice Tyler, Max and Landon. Well, they were wearing big RayBans and also they hadn't really met in person.

"Your guards were having a small argument that I had to solve." Nathan simply stated, somewhat telling the truth. I tried my best not to snicker.

I just heard a grunt in response, before we all started moving again.

"You two, throw the luggage in the back." Ryland ordered.

I assumed he was talking to two of the three guards, considering as soon as I was gently placed on the ground by Nathan, I was being tossed carelessly into what I assumed was the trunk of an SUV.

I bit my lip to stop from crying out in pain as I landed with a loud thump, my right side of the body taking the impact.

Oh how I'd get my revenge on those three boys after...

After I heard some moving around, slamming doors and some incoherent chatter, the engine finally started and I felt the vehicle move.

For the twenty minutes that it took to get there, I had accomplished nothing. I could hear muffled voices but wasn't lucky enough to make out anything. Also, my arm had fallen asleep, my legs felt cramped, and I was starting to develop claustrophobia. As if things couldn't be worse, I couldn't even eat my chocolate bars which Nathan had thrown in for me, considering the fact that they were currently near my feet, where I couldn't reach.

I sighed in relief when the car finally came to a stop and almost cried from joy. I heard the trunk click open, before being lifted from the back and being lowered onto the ground. This time thankfully, they placed me down gently.

"This way." I heard Ryland speak, before hearing the sound of the car locking and being lifted into the air once again.

I really couldn't wait to get out of this torturous, cramped cage.

A few minutes of walking later, I was being placed down on the ground again and there was chatter surrounding me. I was guessing we were in the check in line.

After being picked up and dropped to the ground repeatedly as I assumed everyone was shuffling forward in the line, we finally made it to the front, where I heard the voice of the flight attendant.

After a few more minutes, I was being picked up and being carried off to who knows where. Thankfully the journey ended soon and I was being zipped open by someone.

***NATHAN'S POV***

"I'll be right back from the restrooms." I said to Ryland, who just nodded uninterested, before going back to playing some game on his phone with some flying bird that flapped every time he tapped the screen. What have games come to now...

I picked up the suitcase that my girlfriend was currently cramped inside and started walking in the direction of the washrooms. As I passed by Landon, Tyler and Max, I gave them a silent nod. They knew what was coming next.

I walked into the men's washroom and brought the large grey suitcase with me into the stall. I zipped the bag open all the way and held back a laugh as Skylar's relieved looking face popped out, before she jumped out of the bag as if it were on fire and looked at it as if she were going to rip it to shreds any second.

Before she could do such a thing, I stepped in front of her in the cramped stall. I was still waiting for her to freak out as soon as she realized where she was standing.

"Thank gosh I'm out of that cage, oh the things I do for--" She cut herself off as her eyes explored our surroundings, before widening.

"Are we in the--" She started asking.

"Yep." I said, trying to hold back laughter at her adorable looking face which scrunched up in disgust as she opened her mouth to protest, but I quickly cut her off by spinning us around and pushing her against the stall's door, covering her mouth with my hand.

"I need to tell you something, but not here." I whispered into her ear, before pulling back.

Skylar looked surprised, but nonetheless nodded in agreement. I gave her a small smile, before grabbing her hand and pushing the door open.

"What the hell?" I heard some guy at the urinal yell as we quickly exited the men's restroom.

"Nathan!" I heard her call my name from behind but didn't stop.

I quickly scanned the area where Ryland was. When I saw that his eyes were still on his phone's screen, I quickly ran the opposite direction, ignoring Skylar's protests.

Once I found a nearly empty space in a corner, I dragged her along with me there.

"Nathan what the hell was that all about? He could have seen us!" Skylar yelled, looking slightly angry.

"We don't have much time Sky, I need to tell you something." I said to her, holding her shoulders. I knew that this wasn't going to be easy. Not for me and not for her.

"Nathan, where's the flight attendant? You said that we'd knock out a--" Skylar started worrying but I swiftly hushed her by placing my lips on hers.

I savored the taste of her sweet lips and enjoyed the fireworks that the kiss brought every time. Skylar was left shocked, before she kissed me back, causing me to unconsciously pull her closer to me.

After a few seconds, I was being pushed back by Skylar.

"Nathan." Her soft voice came out, coated with worry. "What's going on?" She asked me, her eyes becoming the most beautiful sight right now.

I let out a small sigh, closing my eyes, before opening them. "Skylar, you know I love you." I started off.

She nodded. "I love you too." She spoke out, causing me to smile.

"You know the saying, if you love someone, set them free?" I asked her softly, causing her eyes to glisten.

"Nathan, you're not actually--" Her voice was so fragile, sounding on the verge of crying. I couldn't bare to see her like this. I had to get this over with quickly. Before I changed my mind and ended up hurting her.

"Skylar, I love you and I'd do anything for you. The thought of you getting hurt is enough to make me lose myself. I can't have you come on this trip with me." I broke it to her.

"Why- why not?" She asked, her voice shaking. I could tell she was doing everything right now to keep from falling apart. I wanted to just hold her and assure her that it'd be okay, to get her to stop from breaking. But I knew better than to be selfish. This was for her own good.

"It's too dangerous. I cannot risk you getting hurt." I said, before deciding to give her the answer she deserved. "Skylar, ever since I kidnapped you, this feeling of guilt has never gone away. And when I realized I had fallen in love with you, I completely ignored that nagging feeling. But now I know that if you love someone so much, you have to set them free. I can't keep you here from your life. It's not right." I spoke.

"But I chose to stay! You can't do this Nathan! You don't get to choose for me!" Skylar cried out, a few tears leaking. It took me everything not to reach out and embrace her. She was breaking me so much.

"It's for the best, please. I need to do this alone. This isn't your fight. You have friends and family waiting for you back at home." I tried to convince her. "You don't deserve this." I added on after.

"So you want me to wait for you?" She asked, forcing her voice to stay leveled.

"I just want you to be safe." I replied, forcing my own voice now not to break.

"I only felt safe with you. Now you're pushing me away? Nathan, you're not responsible for any of this, okay? I choose to be by your side, and even if you wanted me to wait, I would stay with Dustin and Jordan. But you can't just tell me to go home." She spoke, more tears streaming down her face now.

"Skylar, I love you. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you. I just need you to be free and safe. Go live the life you should be. Without the guns, missions, emotional hurt." I tried convincing her.

"I know the life I should be living, and it involves you." She replied, her eyes glistening with tears and love.

It broke me to see the girl I loved in this state.

"You can't know that until you make the decision yourself." I told her. "You were forced to stay with me, and you have such a big heart that your compassion shone through everything and ended up putting you at risk for me and my family."

"This is me making a decision!" She said in frustration. "Nathan, after today everything was going to get better! It's almost all over, we're so close! Don't push me away now." She pleaded.

"It would all be over if something happened to you. Or Tyler, or Max, or Landon. I can't and won't put you guys through that." I answered, pleading her with my eyes to understand.

I watched as she opened her mouth a few times, before closing. Then, I watched as the love of my life turned away from me and ran off, leaving me here broken-hearted. I felt like she had taken a large piece of me as she disappeared.

It's for the best, I kept telling myself. Her safety is above anything else...

~~~ SKYLAR'S POV ~~~
I kept running, not knowing where I was going at all. I felt the tears streaming down my face endlessly, my heart feeling as if someone had shattered it to a billion pieces.
I spotted the women's washroom sign and ran in, rushing to the sink and splashing cold water over my already wet face. I ignored all the nosy stares I was getting and gripped the counter, taking deep breaths.
After I had calmed myself down, I looked up to see my face was now only slightly red.
Now what?
I had no idea. I knew I wasn't going home, that's for sure. How could he not know that he was my home? How could he so easily decide this for me? How dare he? All my sadness turned into anger suddenly.
It was as if a sign had been thrown to me when I saw a flight attendant walk out of a bathroom stall and start washing her hands at the sink next to mine. I stared at the young lady, then looked to see that the restrooms had now become empty, it was now just me and her.
No. You are not going back to him.
Oh who was I kidding. We all knew that I would. I didn't know if it was the rebellious side of me that convinced me to do it and rub it in Nathan's face that he couldn't control my life, or if it was my heart telling me to run back to him.
Whatever it was, it worked, because I turned just as the flight attendant turned to leave, blocking her path.
"Yes, can I help you?" She asked politely.
"Oh I was just wondering, is your flight number 1675?" I asked her innocently.
"Why yes it is! May I ask why?" She said in the same polite tone.
"Oh no reason, I just needed a flight attendant to knock out so I can get on that plane." I smiled up at her.
"Wait, what?" She asked, confusion showing in her soft features.
Without warning, I lunged at her, placing my hand on her mouth to muffle her screams as I dragged her into one of the stalls.
I was lucky that Nathan had taught me how to knock out someone unconsciously without hurting them. I don't think I had it in me to hurt this sweet, young flight attendant. But if it were Ryland, there would be no hesitation...
I pinched a certain nerve on her shoulder, which caused her flailing arms to slow and her screams to hush down, before her body slumped down.
Once I confirmed she was still alive but unconscious, I turned to close the toilet seat behind me, before lifting her thin figure onto the seat in a sitting position. Smiling at my result, I began unbuttoning her white shirt.
Now before all you pervs go thinking that I'm suddenly attracted to the same gender, let me remind you that I needed to dress like her, otherwise Ryland would surely not let me step foot onto that plane. Better yet, security wouldn't.
Once I had swapped our clothes and taken her boarding pass, name-tag and passport, I turned to walk out, but then remembered that there was still a possibility that she'd wake up early. So with no other choice, I gagged her as well as I could with a heck of a lot of toilet paper. Then I tied her wrists and ankles.
Once I was certain she wouldn't be able to break loose as easily, I locked the stall, climbed out from under, and stood up as if nothing had happened.
But unfortunately, there was a little girl standing there that had been watching with wide eyes.
I shot her an overly sweet smile, before walking over to the mirror and starting to make a bun with my hair.
I discreetly checked the attendant's passport to see that her hair was thankfully almost the same color as mine, just a hint of a shade lighter. I placed the hat on my head, pulling it down so that it covered my eyes partially and that no one could recognize me. Next, I pulled out bright red lipstick I had packed in my jean pocket at the last minute. After I had smeared on a sufficient amount, I tucked it away in the flight attendant's pencil skirt. I must admit, I'd make a smokin' hot flight attendant. The skirt and the shirt clung not too tight but just enough to show off my curves. I grinned at my appearance, before turning and walking out in my new five inch heels that luckily had only been a centimeter too big.
I walked out of the washrooms and looked around. I was surprised when I saw Tyler, Max and Landon all standing there, thankfully they weren't the type of guys that wore their shades indoors and had the decency to have taken them off.
"What are you--" I started asking, but Landon cut me off. Everyone seemed to be doing that lately.
"Nathan sent us here to pick you up and take you home." Landon said with a small smile.
"But I'm not going--" I started to protest, but once again, my lovely friend decided to intercept my voice with his.
"I know, which is why we're actually here to get you on that plane. Also, we were going to knock out some air hostess but I see you've already done that." Landon grinned at me.
It took me a while to process what they were saying. When it finally registered in my brain that they were all on my side, a large grin took over my face.
"I'm not exactly stoked about turning down the opportunity to get you home, but I had a feeling you'd rebel against us anyway." Tyler spoke up now, giving me a look.
"Awe shucks. I really do have the best brother in the world." I grinned at him cheekily.
"Yeah, yeah." He brushed off.
"Ahem. We were the two that had to win this stubborn kid over." Max said, pointing to himself and Landon.
"Kid?" Tyler said aloud.
"What do you guys want me to do, give you a trophy?" I asked them teasingly.
"Yes." Landon answered straight away.
"Well since I don't have one on me, I guess we'll have to settle with a group hug." I said with a shrug.
"That works too." Max said with a grin, before pulling us all into one, tight group hug.
I laughed as Tyler groaned in protest and Landon complained about how we were cutting off his oxygen.
I then realized how important these three boys were in my life. "You guys are the best." I murmured, before Max decided to pull away, causing Landon to gulp in a deep breath of air and Tyler to step away from us and act like he didn't know us. I could practically see how much his manliness was being squished away today.
"Hey, how did you guys all get away from Ryland without being questioned?" I asked now, curious.
"Nathan told him we were all going to Starbucks to get some coffee. But in truth he had told us that we were to take you back home, and apparently Ryland wouldn't notice our disappearance until we'd have landed in our destination." Max answered me.
"So you guys knew about this before?" I asked, slightly shocked that no one had told me beforehand.
"We only found out this morning when you were asleep, but didn't bring it up then because we didn't want Nathan getting suspicious." Tyler answered now, deciding to join our group again.
"Oh." Was all I said. There wasn't much to say anyways. I couldn't be mad at them because they had after all told me, and were helping me and taking my side.
"Well, we have to get on that plane because boarding starts in a few minutes." Max said now, glancing down at his wrist watch. "I think you can easily sneak past Nathan and Ryland since they let the air hostesses and pilots board first."
I nodded. "But what about you guys?" I asked them.
"What about us. Nathan can't say anything to us in front of Ryland, so he'll just have to suck it up." Tyler answered with a grin.
"Yep. Plus, I'm his older brother, so he can't boss me around like that." Max said, crossing his arms and smirking arrogantly.
I simply rolled my eyes. Men.
"Guys, we should probably go now." Landon spoke up, causing us all to agree and start walking to our gate, Max leading us all.
"You be careful on that plane." Landon said to me as we walked.
I turned to him with a small smile. "Surely a flight attendant can't really be in much danger." I said in a duh tone.
"I know. But I don't want you getting caught. If Ryland catches you, he'll surely do something. And if the workers catch you, you'll be in handcuffs, heading straight to prison as soon as we land." Landon said to me seriously.
"Okay, I 'll be careful." I promised him with a reassuring smile.
"Good." He grinned at me.
I looked ahead to see what I assumed our gate was and caught sight of Nathan. I couldn't see his face since he was looking down, but I noticed how his shoulders were slumped. We stopped and stood a safe distance away from Ryland and Nathan so that we could only see their backs.
"You okay?" Landon asked, snapping me out of my thoughts and causing me to look at him.
"Yeah, why?" I tried to brush it off.
Landon simply averted his gaze to Nathan, before looking back at me with questioning eyes. He could tell that something had happened between us.
"I'll be fine." I assured him, forcing a smile.
"Okay, we'll talk when this is all over. But he does love you. He's just a stupid boy who thinks he knows what's best. It will all be okay." Landon said.
I looked up at him with a smile, appreciating his much needed words. I loved how he was able to tell right away if I wasn't okay, and knew just the right words to say always. "I love you my BFFL."
"Love you too bestie. Now get your smokin' rebellious ass on that plane and put on the show of a lifetime." He winked at me, causing me to let out the first laugh since I had broken down in front of Nathan.
"Skylar, you're up." Max said now, turning back to me and gesturing to all the flight attendants and pilots boarding the plane.
I nodded, before taking a deep breath and walking that way. I felt all three of them pat me on my shoulder as I left them.
Well, here goes nothing.
I did the dare! And omg, it was crazy! So I was walking toward the school parking lot after school cause (oh and i had orchestra that day so keep in mind that i am carrying a 3/4 size violin case too) that's where my mum was parked. And this other student (its a guy too) walking a few feet to my left so I run up to him and I hold my violin above my head with both hands and start dancing around in a circle while singing "I'M SEXY AND I KNOW IT!" at the top of my lungs. And the guy is taller than me so he just walked around me and I ran after him at full speed and cut across his path and I was like "Admit it, I'm sexy and you know it." and the guy just rolls his eyes and says "If I admit it, while you leave me alone?" so I say "Maybeee...." and I guess he was desperate cause then he's like "Yes, you're sexy, can I go home now?" and i step aside and I'm just like "I never stopped you, you stopped yourself." and then I backed 3 feet away and turned around and full out sprinted to my mums car cuz otherwise I was gonna be late for my doc appointment.
Now whenever I see him in the halls he is going to turn around and walk in the opposite direction. :D
