I. Hated. This.

Bump.

Nathan had failed to mention that this ride would be longer than an hour.

Bump.

Also that the path to the building we were headed to would be extremely bumpy.

Bump.

At least this was feeding up my adrenaline and anger so I could lash out at Ryland's evil henchmen like a ninja when we got out.

Bump.

I was just about to start screaming and ruin the whole plan but stopped myself when I felt the vehicle come to a slow stop.

I stopped myself from flailing my arms out and crying in glee. I really wanted to kiss the ground and probably would have if someone would let me out.

I heard doors opening, then some voices coming nearer.

Then suddenly, without warning, the suitcase that I was currently in was flung into the air and I had to bite down on my tongue to stop a scream at the sudden loss of gravity.

The suitcase fell painfully down and hit against this dead man's leg as he grumbled. "What did you ladies pack? We're only here for one night." I recognized Ryland's voice through the suitcase.

Well that's offensive...

"Oh, here. Let me grab that for you." I heard Landon's voice speak up from nearby and sighed in relief.

I felt myself being swung forward and heard Landon let out a grunt as he caught the suitcase.

There was a pause of silence and I had no clue what was happening, but it seemed tense.

"Can we go now? I'd really appreciate it if I could see my sister." Nathan finally cut in, breaking the silence.

I heard Ryland start to say something, but he was cut off by a phone ringing.

The next part of the plan was now activated...

"What?" I heard Ryland snap into his phone as he answered.

There was a small pause and I heard Ryland suck in a breath, before going all ballistic on whoever had to explain to Ryland that I had disappeared.

"What the hell do you mean she's gone!? She's just a pathetic lightweight teenage girl! How could you fools let her escape!? I want every man searching the whole apartment. I want them to search the whole town for her. I want you to hack into any surveillance cameras nearby. And don't let the little boy out of your sight. Am I clear?" Alvin's chipmunk squeak was for the first time not present in his tone when he spoke.

I heard some shuffling, before he spoke up again. "You. Did you know anything about this?" Ryland suddenly asked at who I assumed was to Nathan.

"No. I made sure she was locked in her room and threatened her into staying." Nathan easily lied.

There was a small pause, then I heard Ryland curse.

"Tell you what. You go see your beloved sister and stay here until I get back. It should take under a couple of hours to find her. Try anything funny and my men won't hesitate to hurt you or your sister." Ryland ordered.

"You have my word." Was all Nathan said.

Then, I heard Ryland's small feet skittering off in a hurry as he left.

I was about to sigh in relief, but then Ryland stopped and spoke up again.

"One of you. Come with me." I guessed he was talking to Landon, Max and Tyler.

Toast.

"Um, actually I think I'll keep these guys under my supervision. I'll need them to get in anyways." Nathan quickly covered up.

"I know. I just need one. I can't go alone." Ryland said in a duh tone.

I felt the air grow intensely silent as everyone became suddenly unsure what to do. We were not expecting this.

The sound of a vehicle coming towards us saved the day suddenly.

"Nathan, who is that?" Ryland asked Nathan with a hint of fear in his voice.

Hah! Not so brave without all your henchmen are you?

I heard the vehicle come to a stop, before two doors opened and slammed shut.

"What are you boys doing here?" Ryland asked immediately, the fear leaving his voice at once.

"Johnathan sent us here earlier for duty and we just heard the news." I recognized Austin's voice at once and a grin took over my face. He had decided to come!

"What? Why would he do that?" Ryland asked in a confused tone, silence ensuing. "That Johnathan must be on that Mary Jane stuff. I gotta get better staff. Useless is what you all are." He added with a grunt after.

I felt the tension leave the air instantly and held back a laugh.

"He said that one of us could escort you back to the apartment. I think we may have a lead to the girl's whereabouts." This time I recognized Cody's voice and was shocked, yet glad. I had been certain he had wanted nothing to do with this. Austin must have convinced him into this.

"Oh." Was all Ryland said. "Well then let's go. One of you come with me, the other, keep an eye on Nathan." Ryland ordered.

I heard Nathan scoff at this.

"I'll go." Austin spoke up. I figured out what he was doing. He wanted Cody to stay here and save his brother.

"I'll see you soon." Ryland said, before his foot steps walked towards the vehicle with Austin's.

I heard the engine start up, and then leave us before letting out a sigh.

"Can I please be let out now?" I asked aloud, forcing myself to sound polite. The last thing I needed was for Tyler, Max or Landon to make me suffer more.

"What the." I heard Cody say in confusion.

I heard the suitcase zip open and Max's face came into view.

"FREEDOM!" I yelled as I threw both my arms into the air, stretching them out, before taking Max's outstretched hand and pulling myself up.

"So how was the ride?" Tyler tried to ask nonchalantly, but I could hear the teasing note in his voice.

I just glared at him, causing him to chuckle rudely.

"You decided to come." I said now, turning to Cody, stumbling on my numb legs which had fallen asleep and using Max to stabilize my balance.

"No need to rub it in." He said back, but I saw a small grateful smile appear.

Nathan then cleared his throat before speaking up.

"We should get started as soon as possible." He said. I noticed how his eyes were intensely fixated on me, but I pretended not to notice.

"Let's go ladies." I heard Nathan mumble as he led the way towards the building.

I finally noticed it and was taken aback at how big the building looked. It seemed old with the thick layers of moss on the walls and the uneven grass surrounding it. The long side of the building faced us, while the front was facing to the right. I decided to call it the Building of Doom, since it held prisoners inside and looked pretty eerie.

I also noticed two guards standing near the main entrance. Luckily they hadn't noticed our arrival yet.

"Quietly." Nathan whispered to us all, before crouching down and walking alongside the building. We all followed stealthily.

Nathan suddenly came to a stop, looking up the side of the building and taking a few steps back. "This seems like an okay spot." He muttered out loud, before reaching for the duffel bag that Landon had brought along and pulling out a coil of rope along with the metal-clinging claw that comes out of Kim Possible's hair drier.

We all watched in silence as Nathan took a step back and held up the end of the rope, swinging it in a circle a few times, before launching it up towards the roof. My jaw, along with Tyler's and Landon's, all hit the floor as it actually reached the edge and stayed put.

Nathan tugged on the rope to make sure it was snug, before turning to us all. "So, who's first?" He asked with a raised brow.

He really did look like a total badass right now, but I'd have to shoot myself before admitting it out loud. I was still pissed at him and didn't want to talk to him. I did feel bad for ignoring him like this, but I wasn't just going to forgive him like that and be reeled back in. He needed to realize that he had hurt me and that he should have came to me first before deciding things for me.

"Oh don't tell me you're all scared." Nathan rolled his eyes at us all. "Tyler. How 'bout you go first." Nathan called out to him.

I watched my brother look up at the tall building skeptically, visibly gulping.

"I volunteer as tribute." Landon called out just as Tyler took a hesitant step towards the rope.

I rolled my eyes and Nathan shook his head.

"Go get 'em Katniss." I called out to Landon as he approached the rope.

Landon turned to me and grinned. "Try not to swoon." He said in a smooth tone, before hauling himself up and beginning to climb.

We all watched silently as Landon ascended the building, not stopping once.

Once he made it to the top, Landon stood up and did a little victory dance, but stopped once Nathan whispered/yelled at him not to catch anyone's attention.

"I'll go next." Cody said, before walking over to the rope and beginning to climb.

I was amazed at how fast he reached the top. Then I realized that he probably was specialized in this stuff.

I was about to step up to go next, but Max beat me to it. "I bet you ten bucks I can beat that kid's time." Max said to Nathan with a cocky smirk.

"And I bet you fifty bucks that you will fall and break your neck if you try to go that fast." Nathan retorted with a roll of his eyes.

I couldn't help but snort at his funny response. I felt his eyes move to mine, but focused so hard on the ground, I probably looked like I was about to split open the Earth in half with my laser beam eyes.

After a short while, Max safely made it over to the top and I stepped up towards the rope, ready to go.

"Wait, I'm going." Tyler suddenly spoke up, stepping in my way.

I rose an eyebrow at him. "I thought you'd want to go last, scaredy-pants." I teased him.

He just rolled his eyes. "No, you foolish child. Since I'm older, more mature and much cooler, I will go first." Tyler decided with a stupid grin.

Before I could argue with his silly reasons, he began climbing the rope.

"Cool isn't a thing anymore!" I cried up at him in frustration.

I heard Nathan chuckle from my right, causing me to look at him.

His playful expression suddenly became serious as he took a step towards me. "Skylar, I've been meaning to talk to you--" Nathan started.

"I don't think that now is a good time." I cut him off, looking up at Tyler and silently yelling at him in my mind to get up there faster.

"Skylar I can't stand this. You keep ignoring me and I can't concentrate like this." Nathan started saying, his expression looking wounded. He looked so sincere and sad I almost cracked.

"Then don't think about me. Ignore me too. You're here for your sister, so focus on getting her out of here." I told him, looking up to see Tyler almost there now.

I heard Nathan let out a humorless chuckle. "I don't think it's possible to get you off my mind right now." Nathan said to me.

"You have no other choice." I simply replied, my voice holding no emotion. I had to force my eyes to stay on Tyler climbing up so that I didn't have to see his wounded expression.

Just as Tyler reached the top, I grabbed onto the rope with two hands and hauled myself up.

Except, I didn't exactly move. Oh how could I forget, I hardly have any upper body strength..

I saw Nathan start to move towards me to help, but I stopped him. "I got it." I said, before looking up at the building with a determined expression and using all the strength I could muster to pull myself up. This time luckily, I did move.

Okay, baby steps.

I slowly inched my way up the rope and when I looked down, I realized I was already a third of the way up. I was really impressed. I could see Nathan looking up at me with shock.

Hah. Skylar: 1, Nathan: 0.

I faced back up again and moved my hands up further, before stepping up the wall. Just as I pulled myself up, I realized that my foot was higher than my hand, and suddenly slipped. I let out a scream as my hands slipped from the force of being pulled down and my arms flailed around as I helplessly fell backwards.

I squeezed my eyes shut in terror, waiting for the impact. I suddenly stopped falling. When I realized I was somehow still alive and well, I opened my eyes to see Nathan looking down at me with concern etched in his features.

For a second, I got lost in those beautiful green pools and handsome features. I snapped myself out of it, remembering my near death experience.

"You caught me." I breathed out, before realizing how pathetic that sounded. But I was still in shock.

"Of course. Why would you doubt me?" Nathan spoke to me in a soft tone, his eyes holding so much emotion.

I didn't know how to answer to that, so I simply stared at him, never becoming bored of his features.

"I love you Skylar." Nathan said now, catching me off guard. My heart swelled at this and the urge to forgive him became stronger than ever.

But before I could say anything, the sound of footsteps drawing near caused us both to snap out of it.

"They probably heard you scream. Come on, we have to hide before they find us." Nathan whispered to me quickly, lowering me back to the ground.

"Whoops." I said sheepishly. "Where can we hide? If we climb up then they'll see us." I whispered in panic.

"I know another way up." Nathan said, before grabbing my hand and pulling me down along the building.

Nathan pulled out his walkie-talkie and pushed the button to speak. "Max, I need you to pull the rope back up right now. Sky and I will meet you at the top in five. Stay put." Nathan ordered.

"Affirmative sir." Max said back teasingly. "Be careful." He added seriously.

Nathan didn't respond and quickly tucked the walkie-talkie away, before turning to make sure no one was behind us.

I turned back too and luckily there was no one there. I also saw Max pull the last of the rope up, before it disappeared behind the ledge.

Nathan and I suddenly burst into sprint once we heard louder voices, almost to the back of the building now.

Once we finally reached the back of the building, Nathan stopped us and we lay our backs against the wall, catching our breaths.

"Now what?" I asked, turning to Nathan.

"We're going to use this door." He answered, pointing to a door on my right. "But it leads right into the open, so we're going to have to sneak through." Nathan instructed.

I nodded, before walking towards the door.

"Wait Sky." Nathan quickly grabbed my arm. "There's going to be a lot of messed up things going on in there. I don't want you to pay any attention to them. Just keep your eyes on me until we reach the roof. Can you do that?" He asked me, gripping my arm.

I took a deep breath, before giving him a confident nod. I had to admit that I was a bit scared now to go in there but if I did as Nathan instructed, I knew I'd be fine.

"Okay good. Now let's go." Nathan said, before opening the door with a set of keys he had on him.

I stepped in behind Nathan and softly closed the door behind me.

As I turned to face forward again, I saw that the place was very dark, and there was only light in a few spots where there were hanging bulbs. Before I could try to focus in on the dark objects, I felt Nathan grab my hand and pull me forward.

We both crouched down as Nathan led the way, looking around cautiously as we crept down the wide, open building. I was quickly pushed against a few boxes by Nathan, before I heard voices and feet passing close by. I held my breath.

I looked up to see Nathan carefully looking around the boxes, before grabbing my hand and continuing our journey to the roof.

After a few more steps, Nathan led us to a corner where I could faintly make out what looked like a spiral staircase leading up.

Suddenly I was pushed in front by Nathan, his hands on my waist and his mouth on my ear.

"Alright, now I need you to go ahead of me and climb these stairs. It's a bit hard to see them but I'll be right behind you the whole time." Nathan explained in a soft whisper.

I managed a small nod, before he gently pushed me ahead. I reached out to place my hand on the railing, before cautiously taking my first step.

Once I was slightly more comfortable with the dark stairs, I started up them.

I could feel Nathan's hand on my back the entire time. It seemed like a long way up, but finally we reached the top.

"Wait, where's Hana?" I whispered to Nathan, turning around now.

"She's located on the other side of the building." He answered quickly.

"On the same floor?" I asked now, a new plan starting to form in my head.

"Yeah, why?" He asked curiously.

"Well since we're already inside, why don't we just get her now and then bring her to the top of the roof? Then we can get out by climbing down the rope." I explained to him.

"That sounds good, but everyone's waiting for us to get back. They might get worried and decide to come out." Nathan reasoned.

"Your walkie-talkie." I quickly retorted.

"But someone might hear us." Nathan argued back.

"Now you're making excuses." I stated, narrowing my eyes at him.

Nathan let out a defeated sigh, before speaking. "I don't want to bring you down that hall Sky. It's too dangerous. I want to get you back onto the roof and once I know you're safe, I'll bring her and we can leave." Nathan explained.

"What? Nathan I thought I already told you. I chose to be here! You can't decide this." I argued back, my voice slightly growing louder, but still a whisper.

"You already helped me Skylar." Nathan said with a small smile. "You gave me the strength and hope I needed to get my sister back, and I love you for that. I really appreciate it. But I can't concentrate on getting Hana out while having to worry about you the whole time." Nathan explained in a soft tone.

"But I can handle myself." I argued back with a small frown.

"I know you can princess. I really do believe in you, but you have to understand that that area is breached with guards. If I bring you with me, they'll tell Ryland and you'll be gone just like that. I need to go alone, since they just think I'm here to visit Hana." Nathan told me.

I opened my mouth to argue, but closed it once I realized he was right. "Okay." I whispered reluctantly.

Nathan gave me a small smile, before grabbing my hand and walking towards a door. "This leads to the roof. You go out there and tell them I'll be back with Hana in a few minutes." Nathan ordered me.

I nodded.

"See you soon princess." Nathan said to me with a grin, before turning to leave.

"Wait!" I said, grabbing his arm,

As soon as he turned around, I grabbed his face and pulled our lips together. I suddenly realized how much I had missed those soft lips. The kiss was short but held passion to it, and left me with tingles once we pulled away.

"Be careful." I breathed out to Nathan, staring into his eyes that had seemed to become more alive with life.

Instead of answering, Nathan pulled us together once more, placing a quick peck on my lips, before turning and leaving.

I stood there watching him leave with a stupid grin on my face, before realizing I could get caught by anyone and turning to open the door.

I stepped outside onto the roof, light finally embracing my sight again.

I quickly closed the door behind me, before turning to see Max, Landon, Tyler and Cody all standing there looking anxious and nervous.

At the sight of me, I saw relief wash over their features as I stepped nearer.

"There you are! We were worried you guys had been caught." Tyler said, before pulling me into an unexpected hug.

I let out a small chuckle at my brother, before hugging him back.

"Yeah, you had us all thinking you had been captured." Cody said, shaking his head.

"Like hell I'd get captured." I said with a smirk, pulling away from Tyler.

"Hey where's Nathan?" Max suddenly asked, worry etched in his features.

They all suddenly looked to me in worry and question.

"Well, he told me to come out on the roof and said that he'd be out here in a couple of minutes with Hana." I explained.

"What? Why? I thought we were all supposed to help out." Landon said.

"Yeah I told him that, but he said that it was better if he went alone, since the guards would have taken us in if they'd recognize us." I explained.

"What the hell? I was supposed to rescue my brother out of here!" Cody suddenly cried out in frustration before anyone else could react.

"Well we aren't leaving without him." I quickly promised him, walking over to him.

"Once Nathan gets back with Hana, he can help you figure out where he's located and then we can get him out." I said.

Cody looked up at me doubtfully.

"I promise. I mean we aren't just going to leave all these prisoners here. And plus, once we get Hana back, the police are supposed to show up so they'll have everyone free in no time." I reassured him.

Cody slowly nodded, before walking over to a pipe and sitting down, leaning against it.

"Wait, if there are so many guards there, how's Nathan supposed to get out?" Max suddenly asked.

A smirk took over my face and I grabbed the backpack. "How did you boys forget this awesome gadget Nathan gave us?" I asked them.

"You mean the one that could cut through anything?" Landon asked with a curious look.

"Yep. And that includes a thick cemented roof." I grinned in excitement, before pulling out what looked like a power tool but could actually cut through pretty much anything.

"I like where this is going." Landon grinned at me. Max and Tyler nodded in agreement, all of them wearing mischievous grins like my own. Even Cody the grumpy blonde had become interested and looked slightly excited.

I had a feeling Nathan wouldn't be too happy with what I was about to do, but he really had no other way of sneaking out Hana.

This adventure was about to get a lot more action-packed, and I couldn't wait.

I cant believe how many of you actually did it :D You all sure do have guts! Well, I picked one FINALLY after debating on it for ten minutes, and the winner is.................... @All_hell who said:

Ok, did the dare... Most embarrassing thing in my life! Ok so I was walking to my bus stop and there's this guy who looks about 20 years old waiting for the bus ( he's new to the bus stop hood mind you, and he's a head taller than me) and I walk up to the stop. I'm just standing there, check my phone, check the time. I turn around to him and tap him on the shoulder. He turns around to me and looks at me with a weird expression and I tell him in a motherly, telling off voice " now tell me your favorite colour or else" he raises his eye brow " look I'm a top secret agent and have places to be, just tell me!" I say in a deeper tone of voice he frowns and replies "red?" I nod and say "thank you for your cooperation " and run to the next bus stop like a secret agent.

I later on find out it was my friend of a friends brother...

I am never going back to that bus stop.

TOO FUNNY! I wish I could see this, and I love how you said you were a top secret agent.
