One thing I'm sure you all know by now is that I am not a morning person. So the next morning when I woke up with a genuine smile on my face feeling like I was floating on clouds, I knew there were such things as miracles. And my miracle was laying right under me.

I stared up at the guy who I'd once sworn to never trust and admired his serene, sleeping face that was void of any mischief, smirks, or conscientiousness. It was crazy how my life turned out to be wonderful rather than filled with misery and fear like I had expected the day we had met. But crazy was what we were. Our relationship could be summed up by that one word. And I would never in my life wish any different.

My stare must have been quite heavy or maybe my thoughts were too loud because the next minute Nathan stirred and slowly opened his eyes. My stomach flipped just like every other time when he greeted me with a smile.

"Good morning princess." The sleep in his voice making his chest rumble which I was laying on. Oh how I'd missed waking up to him. Every morning for the last three months, this was what I'd longed for, and I was beyond excited to have it back, now more than ever.

"Good morning kidnapper." I smiled back, snuggling closer to his body under the white luxurious sheets.

Nathan let out a laugh, my favorite sound in the world . "Now that's a name I haven't heard in a while."

"Seems like forever ago doesn't it." I mumbled as I lay my head back on his chest with a smile.

"Yeah, we've probably been through more crap than most couples in their eighties." Nathan chuckled.

"Well we haven't reached the horrifying stage of wrinkles and grey hair just yet." I replied.

"Oh you'd still love my wrinkly old butt." Nathan chided and I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"I see the egotistical part of your brain has fully awakened." I shook my head and rolled off of Nathan, laying on my side and looking at his smirking face.

"That's not the only part of me that has aw--" Nathan started with a dirty smirk.

"Okay now you completely ruined our morning pillow-talk." I cut him off and got up from the bed, dragging the white sheets with me as Nathan continued to laugh at his own joke. "I'm going to take a shower." I added over my shoulder and made my way to the lavish bathroom across the huge room.

"Don't be too long or else I'll just have to join you." He called out.

"It's an open invitation." I called back with a smirk as I reached the door.

"Really?" Nathan asked and I almost laughed at the hopefulness in his voice.

"No." I turned around with a stoic expression just in time to see that flicker of hope die down and a look of disbelief wash over his handsome face. I winked at him, before closing the door and turning to the shower.

"Aw come on, I've already seen everything!" He exclaimed from the other side of the door, making me blush. "Don't you want to help the environment?"

"Of course I do! You can carry me back home on foot to save the earth from pollution." I called back through the door.

"You're truly wicked, you know that?" He groaned.

"Stop moaning and let me take my shower." I reprimanded.

I didn't hear his reply as I twisted the shower knob and dropped the white sheets around me, before stepping into the steaming hot water.

Somehow I managed to shut off the water in under ten minutes, even though the hot water hitting my skin and easing my muscles was amazing, my stomach was begging to be fed.

"About time." Nathan grumbled as I opened the door and walked out in a fluffy white towel.

I stuck my tongue out at him as he got out of bed and a blush quickly found its way to my cheeks.

"Nathan you indecent manslut!" I yelled as I forced my eyes to stay leveled with his.

"You can't just call someone a manslut like that!" He retorted. "And plus, you like it." He winked as he walked by without any attempt to cover up.

He stopped in front of me and I had to do everything I could to keep my eyes from dropping.

"It's okay if you look." He whispered in my ear. "After all, it is your property." His warm breath hit my neck and made me shiver in the small towel that I had.

"Prostitute." I managed to speak out, looking away from him.

"You know these terms are very degrading and hurtful to me and I'd appreciate it if you showed some more love and respect." He took my chin and forced me to look at him.

"And I'd appreciate it if you covered up your junk." I stared him back.

"Why, is it making you uncomfortable? You were pretty confident and loving last night." He winked at me and my face turned ten shades redder.

"Shut up and go take your shower, I'm starving." I chided, ignoring him and going to walk away when he caught my wrist and pulled me back.

"After you give me my morning kiss." Nathan grinned at me.

"I don't think you deserve one." I said back with a fake scowl.

Nathan clutched his heart in mock hurt and started to leave when I grabbed his face and fulfilled his wishes. Well, one of his wishes.

I let out a squeak of surprise when he brought my body against his and I clutched the towel from falling down as it was the only thing between us.

I ran my hands down his back as he did his own exploring and slid my hand down to his rear before teasing him by squeezing it. He gasped and I deepened the kiss, fighting for dominance before letting him take over. We pulled away breathing heavily.

"I think you should take your shower now." I breathed out.

"I think so too." He agreed, both of us knowing how it would end if we continued on. We probably would have continued had I not been starving for breakfast.

Damn stomach.

By the time Nathan came out of the shower I was all dressed and had fixed up the room a bit.

I hurried him along to change quickly and all but dragged him out the door while he was still pulling on a shirt, running downstairs to where the resort was serving breakfast.

"Slow down woman!" Nathan complained from behind me but I paid no mind as I kept running, dragging him along like a hamster on a leash.

I could see the entrance to the dining room now and a feeling of excitement ran through me. I felt like crying I was so happy.

Just as I was about to zoom in through the entrance, I felt Nathan's hands wrap around my waist and pull me back right before a scared looking server with a tray stacked with ten glasses of orange juice passed right by where I would have pancaked him.

Speaking of pancakes, my eyes found the delicious breakfast food on the buffet table ahead and I all but sighed.

"Skylar are you even listening to me!?" Nathan's voice snapped me out of my pancake daydream and I twisted my neck around to look at him.

"What? Why are you holding me back from my food?" I asked impatiently.

He gave me an astonished look, opened and closed his mouth a few times, looked at the shaken up server on the side, before running a hand through his hair and shaking his head. "Nevermind."

I gave him one last look, before skipping towards the breakfast table.

There were only fifteen minutes left before the breakfast bar closed down, yet there were dozens of people.

My face fell a bit as I got in the long line-up, Nathan slowly making his way towards me.

"Nathan?" I called to him as he finally reached me with two plates, handing me one.

"Yeah?" He asked as we moved like a centimeter forward.

"Those smoke grenades would really be useful right now." I stated, gesturing to the humans standing between me and my food.

Nathan let out a chuckle, shaking his head. "You know if you'd just woken up earlier you could have avoided this." He rose an eyebrow at me.

I just stared at him blankly, not being able to think of a comeback, before finally sticking my tongue out at him.

"Ouch I am so very hurt." Nathan said in the most monotonous voice I'd ever heard.

"Go suck a--" I started but was cut off by a barbie doll. Now I'm not trying to be mean, but if you saw this girl, the first thing you'd think of would be if you're actually seeing Barbie in the flesh. And it wasn't just her fake tan, cake face and bleached blonde hair. It was also her skimpy outfit, ten-pitches-too-high voice, and her body language. Plus she was standing way too close to Nathan for my liking so that made her an automatic enemy.

"Hey excuse me, could you pass down a plate for me?" Barbie who was standing behind Nathan asked, blinking her heavy fake lashes rapidly at Nathan and resting a hand on his arm.

"Yeah, sure thing." Nathan nodded, seeming oblivious to the soon-to-be dead girl hitting on him.

I watched with hawk eyes as she shuffled closer to my boyfriend while he turned and grabbed a plate from the table on the side and faced her once again.

"Here you go." Nathan said politely, giving her the plate.

"Thank you!" She squealed, wrapping her neon painted talons around the plate and taking it. "So where are you from?" She asked, looking up at him with her undivided attention.

"We're visiting from America actually." Nathan smiled, turning around and gesturing at me.

I quickly dropped my death face and smiled at the girl.

Maybe she was just oblivious that I was with him, maybe she was just a nice girl being friendly.

"No way! That's where I'm from!" She gasped in delight, placing a hand on his bicep. "Oh my god you have such strong arms." She gushed, feeling up his arm like she was milking a cow.

Nope. She was just a boyfriend milker trying to wreck her next home.

"Thanks." Nathan said awkwardly, having to rip his arm away from her tight grip.

Nathan turned to me with a look of helplessness and annoyance, causing me to hold in a laugh.

The whole thing was quite comical.

The talking Barbie turned to finally look at me, giving me a once over. "So what are you doing tonight?" She turned back to Nathan and gave him a suggestive smirk.

Wow was she a relentless leech.

Before I could tell her to step the hell away from my boyfriend before I ripped out her extensions, my lovely savage of a boyfriend beat me to it.

Nathan sighed as if she had just asked him to accomplish the most difficult task ever. He ran a hand down his face, before giving her a blank stare. "Definitely not you. So I'd hurry your fake ass right back to Malibu before Ken finds out what a cheat you're being."

I actually had to choke back tears by the time he'd finished, clutching my stomach in laughter as I gasped for air. I looked up to see the confusion on Barbie's face.

"Uh, who's Ken?" She asked.

I lost it there and full on laughed like a mad lady, feeling tears roll down my face and receiving many stares.

"Honey, you just got roasted so I'd get out of here if I were you before you embarrass yourself any further." Someone spoke from behind her in the line with a tone full of sass.

She had been the one to create a whole show, and the audience's commentary was always the cherry on top.

I finally stood up properly and controlled my breathing again, before looking up to see Barbie full on glaring at me now.

"Bye!" I waved my hand at her with a big grin and watched as she struggled for a comeback, gave up, and began strutting it out of here like an old man in heels, followed by another Barbie who had shown up out of nowhere. I turned to face Nathan and grinned widely.

"Do you know how much I love you right now?" I asked, stepping forward.

"No, I don't actually." Nathan said suggestively.

I didn't wait further and closed the gap, stealing his lips and holding him close. He kissed me back and I pulled away after, feeling all giddy.

"We made it!" I exclaimed as we reached the front of the line.

Nathan just chuckled, beginning to load up is plate alongside me.

Once we'd gotten plates full of pancakes, waffles, whipped cream, fruit, and chocolate mousse, I followed my boyfriend to a table out in the open. It faced the backside of the resort, with massive restaurants, bars, and clubs lined up all along the beach. My baby had picked quite the five-star resort.

I now watched his handsome features as I sipped my hot chocolate slowly. He seemed lost in thought as he gazed off into the distance.

"What are you thinking so hard about?" I asked, causing him to snap his gaze back to mine.

I watched as a dirty smirk slowly spread across his face. "Last night." He winked, causing me to gasp, blush, and reach across the table to slap him.

"Perv."

"Masochist."

"Jerk."

"Loser."

"Belieber."

Nathan paused and glared at me. "What did you just call me..." His tone was lethal.

My smirk slowly faded and I leaned back in my seat.

Thankfully, my death was averted as a waitress came over to ask if we needed anything else, giving us an awkward smile and 'enjoy' before escaping the tension and rushing off.

"Let's eat!" I exclaimed, grabbing my fork and knife whilst keeping my head down and eyes on my plate.

I could still feel his heavy glare and gulped in fear.

"Karma's gonna come bite your cute little ass when you least expect it." Was all he said in that serious kidnapper tone, before we ate our breakfast and enjoyed the serenity around us.

* * *

"Why is there no reason to be afraid of zombies?" I asked as Nathan as we walked along the outside of the resort, having found a cute and secluded clearing that was like a mini beach.

I took Nathan's silence as a go ahead and continued.

"Because they just want to meat people." I said the punchline, but my enthusiasm died down when he yet again, ignored me.

"Oh come on, that was my best one yet!" I yelled in frustration.

No response.

"Nathan you can't honestly be that mad at me to give me the silent treatment!" I yelled, but he just kept walking with a blank face. "Nathan..." I pleaded now.

No response.

I racked my brain for any more puns but did not have the chance to pull one out as three black Hummers suddenly approached us as we made our way across an empty parking lot towards the small clearing.

I froze in fear as the three cars came our way from different directions, trapping us in. I looked up at Nathan to see him just as confused and tense.

"Nathan, what's going on?" I forced my voice to come out calm, but my heart was beating way too fast to even hear my own voice.

"I don't know." He answered honestly.

The three loud vehicles all closed in on us and drifted to the side, before coming to stop, leaving a ten foot diameter between us and the small circle they had caged us in.

Nathan overcame his initial shock and jumped into secret agent assassin ninja mode and shoved me behind him as one of the cars' passenger door swung open and a masked man in all black came out.

I watched with wary eyes as he approached Nathan and reached for something around his waist, but I knew what it was before he could pull it out.

No, this wasn't happening. Not again. We were done with all of this and had already suffered enough.

So I simply refused to let this happen and I stepped around Nathan and came forward to the man striding towards us with confidence.

"What the hell do you want?" I asked angrily, not caring that my voice came out shattered.

"Skylar what the hell are you doing get behind me!" Nathan yelled and reached for my arm from behind, but I stepped forward and faced the man in all black, glaring at him through watery eyes.

The man looked between Nathan and I, before a large smirk appeared at where there was a hole cut out for his mouth on his mask.

"Hey, do you like my sweater?" The guy's voice came out gruff, almost as if he was wearing a voice disguise.

The seriousness in his tone made me do a double-take and I couldn't help but ask. "I'm sorry, what?" I asked, clearly I was hearing things.

"Do you like my sweater?" The guy repeated. He even gestured to his plain black hoodie, waving his gun around it like it was just a banana, leaving me in shock and confusion.

Maybe he was just an insecure psychotic guy who just wanted the approval of his clothing choices from random girls and didn't know any other way to ask... Just nod and go along with it... Maybe he'll leave then.

"Yeah, it's very nice." I forced my voice to sound encouraging and faked a smile.

"Feel it." He said, raising his arm up and putting the black fabric in front of my face.

I came to the conclusion that the guy either snorted a bit too much of that white stuff, or had escaped from an asylum and decided to make friends outside a resort.

I hesitantly brought my hand up, and slowly touched the thick soft fabric. I retrieved my hand and stared at the masked man in confusion and caution.

He stared right back at me, except with a whole lot of intensity, and spoke out in all seriousness, "It's boyfriend material."

I snorted out a few chuckles at that cheesy pick-up line, before realizing this guy was not my friend and that he had a gun in his hand and liked to race big Hummer trucks at unsuspecting couples with his friends just to tell lame pick up lines.

Who knew a guy could be that desperate...

"Why are you- Why the hell did... Who are you?" I finally settled with. I was beyond confused and the fear that I had felt had quickly diminished.

"I can be whoever you want me to be babe." The guy winked at me. "I can be your Jack and you can be my Rose." He grinned.

When I didn't answer, he continued on. "Can we play Titanic? I can be the iceberg and you can go down." He gave me a dirty smirk, snapping me out of my confused state.

"Are you Ryland's men?" I asked cautiously.

"No sweets. I'm my own man." The mystery guy winked.

Before I could point the guy to the nearest asylum, his friend who had been in the truck with him stepped forward next to him and whispered angrily in his ear.

The guy with the terrible pick-up lines had the smirk wiped off his face and he glumly nodded to the guy next to him.

"Alright sugar-pie, we can continue our lovely conversation in the car. It's time to go!" He cheered, before looping his arm around mine and dragging me to his Hummer.

We made it half-way, before I skidded to a halt, gave the cheerful guy an odd look, pushed him off of me, and spun around to look for Nathan. My heart dropped when I saw he was gone from his original spot.

I looked around and froze in horror as I saw two men dragging an unconscious Nathan towards one of the three Hummers.

When did that happen!?

"Nathan!" I yelled and started to run for him, but Mr. Pick-Up-Lines grabbed me just in time and dragged me to the other Hummer.

"Don't worry, your boyfriend is going to the same place as we are. Now no more struggling or else I'll have to chloroform you just like your boyfriend." He said nonchalantly, swinging open the door to the car and placing me inside. My stomach dropped, they couldn't hurt Nathan. Not after everything he'd been through. I felt the emotions rising despite the oddness of the situation and the kidnapper's happy personality. At the end of the day they had guns and weren't planning on taking us to Disney World as far as I was concerned. Or maybe they were...

"I don't know what kind of weird game you're playing, but please leave my boyfriend out of this." I pleaded, tears sliding down my cheeks.

The man's eyes softened to my utter surprise and it looked like he was about to reach out to comfort me, but before he could, the other guy sitting in the passenger seat yelled at him to hurry up, and that they were going to be late.

Late for what? And why did this guy look so concerned all of a sudden?

"What the hell is even going on?" I voiced my thoughts.

"You'll see in about fifteen minutes. Now sit tight and don't speak if you ever want to see your boyfriend again." The guy in the passenger's seat spoke.

My eyes widened and I felt more tears emerge, but I held them back, careful to not make a sound.

I looked up to see my initial attacker shoot the passenger a look of disapproval and they seemed to be having this silent conversation through their eyes, before the guy in the passenger's seat rolled his eyes and sighed, glancing at me through the mirror, before quickly looking away and out the window.

This did nothing but increase my confusion and curiosity.

The rest of the ride was silent and I watched the scenery as we drove, wondering why they hadn't blindfolded me to keep me from knowing where we were going.

But then again, I was in a completely different country and wouldn't happen to know anyways so there was no point really.

"Ready Freddy?" The guy in the driver's seat twisted around to face me with a grin.

I just stared back in confusion, before voicing my thoughts "Why are you acting like we're best friends?"

The guy just sputtered out a laugh, before sobering up quickly when his partner shot him a look and got out of the car.

"We should have just hired Liam Neeson for this." The guy in the passenger seat muttered under his breath, before climbing out of the car.

Okay...

So far, I had established four things. One, these guys were acting like disorganized spontaneous druggies. Two, they all had oddly similar voices, my best guess was that they were wearing voice disguising gadgets like Oliver Queen does. Three, we were on top of some high hill or mountain judging from the uphill drive and view. And four, I wasn't as scared of my fate anymore after seeing I was with a bunch of amateurs who Nathan could effortlessly knock out and we could easily escape from.

"This way m'lady." My attacker bowed, gesturing to a long trail going upwards.

I gave him an odd look, before walking forward and up the path, the two men following behind. I had also noticed the two other Hummers were already parked at the bottom where we had arrived.

I could only hope Nathan was okay...

What was I thinking? My boyfriend's a badass ninja hero superman. Of course he was okay. He probably already tied up our captors and was waiting for my arrival.

The walk was tedious and I debated on faking to faint so they could carry me the rest of the way up, but I didn't trust these idiots to carry me without dropping me.

We finally made it and were surrounded by barren land, but once we stepped up to the very top of the mountain, it was truly beautiful.

I stood there just gazing down at the beautiful view of the whole city, and bet it looked even more beautiful at night with all the lights. But it was so peaceful up here... Definitely the wrong place to bring a hostile.

I turned around to question my captors if they were just a bunch of idiot teens on shrooms thinking it'd be fun to play pretend kidnapping, but was surprised to see no one was around.

My heart skipped a beat and a wave of relief washed over me when I saw Nathan appear, walking towards me.

"You're okay." I breathed out, before running towards him. He opened his arms and I sprung into them, wrapping all my limbs around him as he held me close.

"Of course I am, princess." Nathan smirked.

"Where did they all go?" I asked, looking around us.

"I took care of that, don't worry." Nathan gave me a heart-stopping smile and I melted in his arms.

"Now don't expect me to call you my hero and swoon." I chided.

"Okay miss independent. Have fun finding a way back." Nathan shrugged, before slowly lowering me to the ground.

"Okay okay fine! I'm sorry!" I clutched onto him, my legs and arms tightening around him so he wouldn't drop me.

"Wait, so who's your hero?" Nathan asked innocently.

"You are." I rolled my eyes, but couldn't keep that smile off my face.

"That's not good enough." He began to lower me back to the ground.

"Okay fine! Nathan you're my hero!" I yelled out.

He grinned at me. "I know, just try not to swoon." He winked at me.

"Just shut up and kiss me." I ordered, before taking his face in my hands and slowly yet passionately kissing him.

He responded and we continued on, never speeding it up or rushing it. The butterflies were present. The sparks were flying. Our hearts were drumming in sync. It was perfect.

We pulled away finally and he slowly lowered me back to the ground.

I watched as his hand stroked my cheek gently, before slipping down my neck and taking a hold of my necklace.

I looked down and my eyes widened in surprise. I had completely forgotten about that! He had been throwing surprises at me left and right that it had completely slipped my mind.

I was at a loss for words as he pulled out his own gold chain that had been invisible under his dark shirt.

"You ready to see what's inside?" He asked me softly, the sun shining on his beautiful face.

I nodded, feeling like I was in some kind of a trance. "But who were those guys, and what if they come back?" I protested, still shaken up a bit by the whole incident.

"Do you trust me?" Nathan asked simply.

"Yes." I answered without hesitation.

That caused a smile to spread on Nathan's lips as he looked at me adoringly. "Good." He said softly.

I watched as he brought forward the small key at the end of his own chain and inserted it inside the locket around my own neck, twisting the key. There was a small click and Nathan slowly opened the locket, me watching in anticipation.

My eyes widened at what I saw inside, and went up to search Nathan's face. But he was busy taking it out with his eyes averted from me and on the object that I had carried on me for three months.

I felt tears start to form as Nathan slowly knelt down on one knee, and finally met my eyes with a look of determination.

"I never believed in love." Nathan started, taking a hold of my hand. "I had had the worst happen to me. My life was a complete mess and I found myself living with constant fear, loneliness, and helplessness. I felt like there was no point in living, I had lost all faith. There was nothing good in my life except for my family whom I couldn't bare to see in those harsh conditions. But one day this girl walked into my life. Well, more like I barged into her's. But that was the best decision I'd made in my life. Not to go kidnap some poor innocent girl." Nathan chuckled nervously. "But getting to know her and falling in love with her. Skylar, I can't imagine a life without you. You make my life worth living. You showed me how to love. You guided me to the light in my darkest hours. You taught me to find joy in the simplest of things and made me into a better person. And I couldn't possibly be more thankful. I know this seems early, and I understand if you say no, because I will wait until I die for you, but one thing I'm sure of is spending my eternity with you. I hope you're ready to do the same." All throughout his speech, his intense gaze never wavered. That heated passion and magnetic pull never broke. Now he brought forward the silver band that was meant for my finger and held it up. "Skylar Westbrook, will you marry me?"

I was at a loss for words throughout his speech and tears of joy had been streaming down my cheeks unknowingly. But my heart was beating erratically the whole time and one thing I could manage to do was answer his question.

"Yes." I breathed out. "I do."

Before Nathan could properly stand up and slip the ring on, a bunch of loud yells came out from behind the few trees around us and I looked around to see our captors walking towards us boisterously.

I stood there in shock for five straight minutes. But who could blame me? I just got kidnapped by some random guys, the love of my life just proposed to me, I'm engaged now, and finally the kidnappers are showing joy and seem to think they're our best friends.

They must be related to Nathan.

"Guys, you can take your masks off now." Nathan ordered, and I watched in awe as one by one, a familiar face popped out from under the black masks.

My attention went back to Nathan though as I felt the smooth silver slip around my ring finger and I looked down to see the simple yet elegant ring glimmering. I looked up with a large smile on my face at Nathan who had already had his eyes focused on me.

"I hope you didn't get too scared from these idiots. I wanted our proposal to be special and represent us, so what other way to do it than the adrenaline-pumping, heart-stopping, crazy and insane way that we know so well?" Nathan chuckled at me.

"You could have gone for the sunset at the beach one, but I guess you're right. This is us." I grinned right back.

Although the kidnapping had scared the hell out of me and I had been deeply concerned for Nathan, I couldn't find it in myself to be mad at him. It was a risky move, but that was our relationship. I found it perfect.

"So are you guys gonna kiss or what?" Max yelled out, grinning and winking at me when I looked to him.

The wink gave away his character and I chuckled. Of course it was Max with the pick-up lines. Tyler had been next to him in the Hummer judging from his knowing grin. Landon and Jordan were probably the other two who had driven the other two Hummers. Landon caught my eye and smiled proudly at me. Jordan shot Nathan a thumbs-up and gave me a grin. All of them looked beyond happy for us and I felt truly glad to have them all in my life.

Then, I turned back to the one whom I was the most grateful for, and locked eyes with him. Those striking, emerald green eyes never ceasing to take my breath away stared down at me with pools full of passion, love, excitement and of course that glint of mischief. He placed both hands on my waist and bent his head down. I moved my head the smallest bit forward to meet his awaiting lips and we kissed our last kiss as two crazy kids in love, and our first kiss as one crazy married couple in love.

I, Skylar MacCallum, ended up helplessly falling in love with my sexy kidnapper.

And marrying him!
