I was going to make an April Fools joke... but all of the ones I could think of were lame, so please enjoy this chapter :)

“Would you eat your damn soup already?” Shawn asked in an irritated tone, picking up his empty bowl and taking it to the sink.
“I’m not hungry.” I mumbled, poking my soup with the spoon absentmindedly. After that whole…kiss-thing, Shawn made dinner while I kept looking around the rooms, or as Shawn called it, ‘adapting to my new home’.
“You haven’t eaten in days! Eat the soup.” Shawn insisted.
“No.” I said stubbornly. I seriously wasn’t in the mood to eat.
Shawn sat down across from me and frowned. “You look like a sick mess. You should really eat.”
“I’m not hungry.” I said again. He was right though; I was a mess. I was still wearing the smelly P.E. clothes, I smelled like a rotting corpse thanks to the room I woke up in, my bedhead had gotten worse, my teeth were grimy due to not brushing for so long, and I was basically starving since I was knocked out for two days, but I was too troubled to eat.
“Jake, eat the fucking soup before I shove down your throat!” Shawn threatened with a glare.
“Fine, I’ll eat the motherfucking soup.” I said, taking a spoonful of soup and drinking it. “There.”
“The whole bowl.” Shawn demanded, crossing his arms.
I glared at him, and then proceeded to eat the entire bowl of soup, which did actually make me feel better. “Happy now?” I grumbled.
He nodded. “Yes.” He then reached across the table and took my bowl. “I’ll take care of that for you. Do you want anything else?”
“Yes; to go home.”
Shawn ignored me and walked over the sink to soak the empty bowl. “Do you want anything else to eat?”
I shook my head no. “No, but if you have a shower, I would seriously like to wash this rotted-corpse smell off of me.”
“Sure, it’s the center door.” He said, pointing a finger across the room.
“’Kay.” I muttered, trudging over to the bathroom. I pushed open the door and stepping into a blue and crème tiled bathroom. At least the crazy asshat knew how to decorate; the room looked like something from an interior design magazine.
I sighed as I lazily took off my shirt. Why was I even bothering to take a shower anyway? Curling up in a corner for all eternity would probably be a better idea, not taking a damn shower. Besides, Shawn would probably just see me taking a shower as me getting ‘acquainted with my new home’, which I sure as hell didn’t want. If I were lucky, like, extremely lucky, he would spontaneously lose interest in me and murdering and let me go. But he had proven already that he probably wasn’t going to do that.
I reached behind me to lock the bathroom door before I took my pants off. Hitting the doorknob, I ran my hand along the smooth, lock-less, surface. “Shawn! Why isn’t there a lock?!” I called out. Every normal bathroom had a lock inside! Why didn’t this one?
“Because it’s too much trouble when people lock themselves in there.” Shawn replied from directly on the other side of the door. Why the hell was he so close!?
“What do you mean when people… Never mind, I don’t want to know.” I said. “But now I sure as hell don’t want to strip naked.” I muttered to myself.
“What did you say?” Shawn asked.
“Nothing.” I replied, turning on the shower water. I held my waistband hesitantly. “Are you still there?” I asked.
“Yup.” He said bluntly.
“Would you mind not being there?” I asked. Seriously, why the hell was he there in the first place!?
“I’m not moving.” He said uncompromisingly.
I groaned; what the hell was wrong with him? “You won’t come in, right?”
“I promise I won’t.” He said.
I didn’t exactly trust his words (the guy was a fucking serial killer in the guise of a high school student after all), but they would have to be enough. I stripped off the rest of my clothes and climbed in the shower.
I stood under the calming warm water and tried to clear my mind. This shit was way too much for me to handle. In under a month my life had gone from normal to this. I stared at the tile wall and let my mind go blank.
A few minutes later, Shawn called to me. “Jake, you’ve been in there a while, are you okay?”
“Huh?” I snapped out of my daze. “Yeah… I’m good.” I said. After scrubbing myself a bit with soap, I turned off the shower.
I stepped out of the shower and saw that my P.E. uniform was gone and a pile of clothes had been placed on a shelf. That son of a gun came in. I snatched a towel from off of a rack and quickly wrapped it around my waist before he got any more ideas. “You dick! You said that you wouldn’t come in!” I yelled furiously.
“Oops, my bad!” He said hardheartedly.
“Ass.” I muttered, picking up the clothes. The pile consisted of a navy blue T-shirt, grey sweatpants, and a pair of boxers. At least they were normal.
After I changed into the clothes, I stepped over to the door. “Okay, I’m do-”
The door flew open and Shawn looked at me eagerly. His blue eyes studied me briefly before he smirked proudly.
“What the fuck?” I uttered in surprise, retreating back a bit.
He seemed to snap out of his daze. “Oh, sorry, you just look… really good in my clothes.”
I looked at him in disturbed confusion. I was wearing clothes that didn’t even fit…
“It’s like seeing your new dog with their collar on for the first time.” Shawn tried to explain. That just made it sound even more wrong!
“I’m not your dog.” I mumbled, backing away even more.
“But you are mine.” Shawn smirked.
I glared at him. I was not in the mood for this argument. “No I’m not. I don’t belong to you.” I said with finality.
“According to me you do, and anybody that says you’re not I can kill.” Shawn said. And here we were again with the killing.
“Well I’m saying that I don’t belong to you, so are you going to kill…” I trailed when I saw Shawn giving me a death glare. “Never mind.” I murmured. I guess he was sick of the topic of him killing me…
“Damn right. Anyway, I have some things to ask you.” Shawn said.
“And I have things to ask you, not that you ever answer my questions.” I said bitterly.
“Well what if I said that I’d answer yours if you answer mine?” Shawn asked.
“Then I would agree.” I said.
“What if I said you looked sexy when you’re serious?”
I stared at him blankly, not knowing what to say.
Shawn smiled. “You’re also sexy when you don’t know what to do.”
“Can we just get back to the topic about questions?” I grumbled.
Shawn sighed. “Sure. How about this; I’ll ask you a question, which you have to answer, and then you can ask me a question.”
“I narrowed my eyes at him. “Will you answer my question?”
“Maybe.” He replied.
“Then why do I ‘have’ to answer yours?” I asked. He always found ways to bend his words to his favor.
“Because I’m a serial killer and you’re my captive.” Shawn said candidly.
I glowered at him. “Fine.” I said. Besides, it wasn’t like I really had anything to hide. I would rather have him answer some of my questions than none in exchange for whatever he asked me (I could also lie if worst came to worst)
Shawn smiled. “All right then, let’s go to the couch.” He walked out of the bathroom.
I followed cautiously; why did I feel like I’d just signed a deal with the devil? Shawn took a seat in an indigo upholstered chair and motioned for me to take a seat on the couch across from him.
Once I sat down, Shawn immediately asked, “Are you a virgin?” He stared at me intensely.
“Um, uh…” I stuttered. That question was way to sudden! I averted my eyes away from his stare. “Uh…yes?” I said. Yeah, I was a virgin; it was pretty hard to find a boyfriend when you were in the closet and still scarred from a certain previous one.
“Why did that sound like a question?” Shawn asked sinisterly.
“Because you caught me off guard!” I said. “Are you a virgin?”
“Of course not.” He said openly.
“Then why the fuck do you care if I am!?” I yelled angrily. The damned hypocrite! Then again, of course Shawn wasn’t a virgin; he had enough looks and douche-ness to get any girl or guy he wanted from what I gathered in middle school.
“That’s two questions Jakey.” Shawn said smirking. The dick. Shawn’s expression became serious again. “Have you kissed anyone besides Las Vegas and me?”
I thought a bit. Fuck, I actually had, but there was no way that I could tell him that. “No.” I lied. I didn’t want to put the person in danger.
“You took too long to answer.” Shawn said. “So? Who was it?” He asked.
“Nobody, and you can’t ask two questions in a row.” I said. The truth was, Trent and I had actually kissed around a year ago. We were both gay, so we thought that we should try a relationship out. We were still under the false notion that just because we were gay, it meant that we were compatible. When we kissed, neither of us felt it, so we happily agreed to stay friends.
“Jake, tell me who kissed you. Right now.” Shawn said quietly.
“Or else what?” I snapped. “If I don’t tell you, nothing happens. If I do… You could kill someone.” I said.
Shawn smiled darkly. “Yeah, I will kill them. And the fact that you care that much about them only increases my urge to kill them. Now tell me who it is.”
“I have zero reason to tell you.” I said stubbornly.
“Do you want me to give you a reason?” He asked tersely.
“…Why do you care so much about something as small as kissing?” I asked anxiously. He’d already done it, right? So why was this such a big deal!?
Shawn scoffed. “Because I have rights to your body, and I wont let anyone else touch you.” He said as if it were obvious.
I glowered at him. “What ‘rights’?” I seethed. He opened his mouth to reply, but I cut him off. “Why are you threatening to kill people over something so damn petty? I didn’t, and still don’t, like the person in that way. We kissed, and neither of us felt it. Now lets drop the motherfucking subject.” I stated agitatedly.
“So it was Trent.” Shawn sighed. “Well, I guess I wont kill him then. I’ve thought that if two hadn’t dated yet, it must have meant you didn’t like each other.” He snapped his eyes to mine. “You haven’t, right?” He asked menacingly.
“No. And it wasn’t Trent.” I lied.
He rolled his eyes. “Sure it wasn’t. Anyways, next question. Have you ever had your ass groped?”
“Why are all of these questions sexual?” I muttered. “And wait! You’ve already asked two questions in a row!”
“Fine, ask away. But then I want a list of people who touched your ass.” He demanded.
List? I didn’t get groped regularly! Hell, I didn’t think I was ever groped at all. Ah, whatever, at least I could finally ask some questions. “What’s the Card Collector?” I asked, recalling the time that Spike addressed Shawn as such.
Shawn smirked. “Oh, so you remember that. It’s my title as a serial killer. I’m called Card Collector because I choose a card for a murder and then choose the victim that I felt fit the card the most. Queen of clubs, ten of diamonds, that sort of thing.” He said casually.
How could he refer to that so nonchalantly? “You killed fifty-two people?” I asked softly in shock. How did Shawn, the Shawn from middle school, manage to do that?
“More.” He replied. “Now answer my question about the groping.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever been groped.” I said absently. I was still focused on the fact that he killed over fifty-two people. And I was also kidnapped by the son-of-a-bitch!
Shawn nodded acceptingly to my reply. “Has Las Vegas ever been… intimately close to you?” He asked, saying Las Vegas’ name with disgust.
I shook my head no without really paying attention to what he was saying; I could already deduce that I should say no to everything to keep Shawn pacified. My thoughts were back to how Shawn, the blonde blue-eyed pretty-boy from middle school (who also fucked with my emotions), became an expert murderer. He never really told me how or why he became so… crazy.
And why did he suddenly start loving me? I asked myself that a lot, but seriously, why? Or more importantly, how? He couldn’t have just seen me on the street one day and fallen in love, right?
“Hey Jakey, as erotic as you look when your thinking, I’d like it if you would pay attention to what I’m asking.” Shawn said fondly, interrupting my thoughts.
I glared at him uncomfortably. “The answer is no.”
“Have you ever dated, or liked, anyone other than me?” He asked.
“What is this, asking questions, or interrogating Jake on his sex-life?” I asked, rolling my eyes. “And no, I haven’t.” I added.
Shawn narrowed his eyes suspiciously. “Are you just saying that because you know that’s what I want to hear?”
“…yes.” I admitted.
Shawn frowned thoughtfully. “I guess I’ll need some motivation for you to answer truthfully then…”
“ Let me guess, ‘if you don’t answer truthfully I’ll kill someone. And if I don’t like the truthful answer, I’ll kill someone’.” I predicted. “It’s pretty much a lose-lose either way.” I muttered.
Shawn smiled. “You know me so well Jake.” He said affectionately. “Um, I could also tell you about my sex life.”
“Why the fuck would I want to know about that?!” I exclaimed.
“Because I’m really sexy?”
“What makes you think that?” I scoffed, ignoring the fact that he was irritatingly attractive.
Shawn smiled wryly. “I don’t know, because people are dying to get in bed with me.”
I looked at him in shock. Was that how he got his victims!? He would offer sex to them and then trap them here!? Who would be so eager to have sex with a teen? Even if he was kind of sexy… “Why? Why the hell would you make such a terrible joke?”
“I thought it was funny.” Shawn said with a shrug.
“Of course you think it’s funny, you’re a serial killer! Not a normal person like me.” I said.
“You’re not normal. If you were I would’ve killed you by now.” He said, probably trying to be comforting. What did he mean he would’ve killed me!? I guess it was time to ask how the hell he fell in love with me.
“How did you fall in love with me exactly? And not why, how.” I asked, looking at him seriously.
Shawn smiled affectionately.
“Stop that.”
“Stop what? Being hot?” He asked with a grin.
I rolled my eyes. “Sure, whatever, just answer my question.”
Shawn’s expression became serious. “Okay. Well, you’re not going to like this, but you were going to be the ace of hearts.”
I widened my eyes in shock. “You… you were going to murder me!?” I screamed.
Shawn sighed. “Yeah, yeah, just calm down.”
“Calm down!? You made me into an emotional wreck in middle school and then you were going to kill me! And-!” I stopped myself and took a deep breath. “And that’s probably not even the tip of the iceberg. Keep going.”
“Well, like I said, you were the ace of hearts. I had already killed those three that helped me pummel you, Raymond, Lance, and… whoever that was. They were the twos of clubs, spades, and diamonds-”
“You killed them!?” I interjected. “And the other guy’s name was Pete- even I remember! It’s not even a hard name to forget-”
“As I was saying.” Shawn interrupted, eyeing me impatiently. I shut my mouth and listened. “After I killed them, which was a couple months after you left for California, I was starting on the whole murdering thing, but I needed people who I thought matched the cards. Anyways, the aces are a special card- they can either be the most worthless or the best card depending on the game you’re playing- I needed someone special to play the ace, especially the ace of hearts. The first person who came to mind was you-”
“Why me?” I asked.
“Because I always thought you were cute, even when nobody else did. Skipping forward a bit, I flew to California to… you know.”
I refrained from interrupting again, but who the hell flew halfway across the country just to kill one person out of much more people they were going to kill? He was either really dedicated, really picky, really crazy, or all at once. Probably all at once. I motioned for him the keep going.
“Once I came here, I looked up where you were living and went to school. I decided to follow you around a bit to learn your habits and routines. The first time I saw you I think was when you were on the bus going to the mall. Anyways, it was lust at first sight, because you are pretty fucking fine; I never thought that the cute boy from middle school could’ve turned into such a tantalizing package. I seriously wanted you under me, so I started contemplating-”
“I’m just going to cut you off there.” I said forcefully. I stared at him in discomfort for a moment. “This might be the first time that I’m happy that you developed feelings for me.”
Shawn grinned happily. “Really?” He then pouted. “Damn it, I left the ring at home.” He said to himself.
…I probably didn’t even want to know . “What happened after you saw me on the bus?” I asked to get back on topic.
“Oh, I followed you inside the mall, and I don’t remember exactly, but you started doing stuff that made me really like you. After a week of following you around, I realized that I should probably start focusing on my plans to kill you; which was when I realized that I wouldn’t be able to bring myself to do it. The more I followed you, the more I fell in love with you. I knew that it was dangerous for a murderer to have feelings for anyone, because that’s just one more weak link people can get to, so I decided to go back to Minnesota. But you’re just too magnetic, even after I killed the Cards I still thought of you, so I moved back here and started stalking you. The end.” Shawn finished.
“What about your parents?” I asked. Seriously, how could they have not cared that their son was moving to California… or noticed that he was a psychopath?
“I said that I wanted independence and shit and they were okay with it. They’re still in Minnesota” He said with a shrug.
I eyed him skeptically. “How were they just ‘okay’ with letting their son live on his own?”
“They’re just those type of people. They trust me, so they let me do what I want. They think I’m mature enough.”
I stared at him in disbelief. “…You’re parents are idiots.”
Shawn laughed. “Yeah, pretty much. Is that all you need to know?”
I thought moment. I was sure that there were still some things tugging at my mind…“Oh! Did you ever find Spike?” I asked.
I saw Shawn’s blue eyes gleam with annoyance. Shit, that was the wrong question to ask. “No, I haven’t yet. Why do you care so much?” Shawn inquired.
I shrank back a little. “I don’t know.” I muttered. “Sorry for asking.”
“And this ‘Spike’ shit is seriously pissing me off. His name is Jade, don’t start giving him nicknames.” Shawn demanded.
“Well Jade is a dumbass name for someone who wears that much spikes.” I mumbled really quietly, facing away from Shawn.
“What was that Jake?” Shawn asked right next to my ear. I jumped, when the hell did he get there!?
“Nothing, just forget about my question; it doesn’t matter.” I said, scooting away from him.
Shawn narrowed his eyes. “You like him don’t you?” He seethed.
“No! He pierced my fucking ear! What the hell makes you think that I like him?”
“You gave him a nickname.” Shawn said angrily.
“So? I give lots of people nicknames. You gave Las Vegas his nickname, but you like Las Vegas?
“No, no I don’t.” He sighed. “Just don’t give people nicknames other than me, okay?”
“I’ll do whatever the fuck I want.” I said defiantly.
I expected Shawn to threaten me with killing others again, but instead he just stared at me peculiarly. I leaned further away from him to the edge of the couch; he was way too close.
“What is it?” I asked uncomfortably.
Shawn smiled genuinely. “It’s good to see you back to your old self. You’ve been brooding all day up until now.”
“That only means that I’m going to try even harder to escape…and you sound like my mother.” I mumbled, looking away. Crazy or not, Shawn’s smile was fucking blinding.
“Okay, I’ll rephrase that then; it’s good to see your feisty and sexy attitude that makes me want to grope the living crap out of you.” He said into my ear.
I frantically pushed him away and scrambled off of the couch. After I distanced myself far enough away, I glared at Shawn.
He gave me an amused smile from the couch. “You’re so cute when you’re flustered.” He said.
Godamnit I wanted to wipe that smug grin off of his face. Luckily I knew how. It was about time I formed some more possible escape plans. I ignored Shawn and started to analyze the room.
“This again? I already told you that there’s no way for you to get out.” Shawn said in irritation.
I ignored him and walked over to the table and picked up a chair. I wondered if the simple wooden chair could help me at all. I raised it over my head and chucked it at the wall. It bounced off of the wall with little to no effect on it. Nope, it didn’t do anything. But I did hear a soft clang of something that sounded like metal… did Shawn reinforce the wall with steel or something!?
“Jake, why are you trying to destroy my furniture?” Shawn asked.
“I was trying to destroy the wall, not the furniture.” I explained, glancing at the table. The table might work better than the chair, but how was I going to lift it?
Shawn stood up from the couch. “Jake, before you even think about trying to throw my table at the wall, I need to take a piss.” He walked into the bathroom.
Why would him pissing motivate me to not smash the table? Whatever, it wasn’t like I could even lift it. Maybe I could find a way to catapult it, but it would be a waste of time if the wall was actually reinforced with steel. I turned my attention to possible escape possibilities in the ceiling.
“Hey Jake, I just realized something.” Shawn said, walking out of the bathroom.
“What?” I said distractedly. I was still looking around the room for possible security flaws.
“If we had a ship name, it would be Shake.” He pointed out.
“Shake as in to shake hands?” I asked, giving him a strange look.
“No, Shake as in Shawn and Jake.” Shawn explained.
“Then doesn’t Jawn make more sense?” I asked. At least Jawn wasn’t a verb.
“You wish.” Shawn scoffed. Huh?
What did he mean? I thought about common rules for ship names. Wait, why the fuck was he giving us a ship name in the first place!? “We’re not even dating! Why the hell are you even thinking about this?” I asked.
He shrugged. “No reason really. Haven’t you ever thought about ship names for your friends or whatever?”
“No! Well, maybe. Augh, never mind, you can think what you want.” I said, going back to deriving more doomed plans of escape.
“So, do you ship Shake?” Shawn asked teasingly a few moments later.
“No, and I never will.” I snapped.

Sorry if this chapter wasn't exciting enough, I really tried. BUT, I have major plans for the next chapters! (so no, just because Jake is kidnapped does not mean that this is ending any time soon)
Thank you so much once again for reading and you're **extremely** motivating comments :D
