Chapter 2
I stare at the blackboard in the front of the room, looking at the notes my teacher is writing on it.
Then the bell rings. I put all my stationery, books into my bag and push in my chair before exiting the room.
Upon exiting through the door, I hear the sounds of girls screaming. I look at what they are screaming about to see that it was Jeffrey riding his air cloud board in the middle of the hall. He is getting all the ladies attention and is trying to act cool.
I thought of something funny to do. I make his air cloud board disappear causing his to slip and land on the floor. The guys start to laugh and some of the girls are giggling. He gets up and looks around with a confuse face. I smile secretly before walking away from the scene.

I have a free period now so I go to my favourite spot in the entire school. The roof. I climb up the ladder and open the door to the roof. No one really goes here which makes this place even better to be alone. I place my bag down and stare up at the sky.
It looks like it is going to rain which I have hope it doesn't since I have just got here. I close my eyes and move my hand across.
I open my eyes again to see the clouds disappear to reveal the cool blue sky. I smile at it before I take out my notebook and start to sketch the garden in the academy.
Halfway sketching, I jump when I feel a person behind me. I look up to see Duke looking down at me like as if he was more powerful and stronger than me.
"Why would an Elemental like yourself be out here?" I ask looking back to my drawing.
"Why would a student like yourself be out here?" He ask sitting down next to me.
"To isolate myself." I said.
"Why?" He ask in return.
"It's none of your business, Elemental." I sigh not wanting to have this conversation.
Even though you can't see his face, I can tell that he is slowly feeling the frustration of my answer.
"Why are you so powerful?" He said.
"Powerful?" I question him.
"Yeah, powerful. Elder James said so." He said facing me.
"Like I said it's none of your business," I said.
"It is my business." He said grabbing my wrist, stopping me from drawing.
His hands feel warm against my cold wrist. I yank my hand from his grip even though it was so soothing.
"You, Elementals, think that everything is your damn business. Someone should teach you that it's not." I said going back to drawing.
He grabs hold of my hand again.
"Stop it." I glare at him before trying to pull my hand out of his hold. He doesn't let go. He places a hand on my cheek making me glare more at him while my insides were flipping.
"You're so cold. Why is that?" He said.
"It's none of your business." I snarl at him before putting all my stuff in my bag and standing up.
"Let go of me," I said.
"No." He said.
"You ask for it," I said.
I take out my phone and scroll through my contacts.
"What are you doing?" He asked standing up.
"Calling someone," I said calling Elder James.
I put the phone to my ear. He grabs the phone from my hands and ends the call.
"Hey!" I shout at him and try to get the phone out from his hand.
He lights my phone on fire causing the metallic cover of my phone to melt away. Well, there goes my phone.
"You can't do that!" I shout at him.
"I can do whatever I want." He said still holding my wrist.
"God, you arrogant Elementals." I glare at him.
He throws me over his shoulder causing me to yelp in surprise.
"Put me down or you'll regret it," I scream while hitting his back.
"No, you're coming with me." He said before creating a fire board and jumping on me causing my head to hit his hardback.
"Damn your back is hard as a rock," I said.
He doesn't say anything but commands the board to fly us to the field.
When we reach there he walks towards the other Elementals who seem to be waiting for someone. They all stop talking and looking at me hanging on Duke's shoulder.
"Bro you score some chick?" Jeffery said.
"Wow, this is the first time you have done this. Do you like her?" Fray giggles.
"Oh, if someone decides to carry you Fray without your permission would you find it funny?" I snort out.
"How do you know my name?!" She screechs.
"You screech like a dying banshee you know that," I said.
"Bitch, how do you know my name!" She yap.
"It's none of your busine-"
"Fire Elemental, YOU BETTER LET MISS VALENTINE GO!" Elder James shouts stormy towards us.
Duke quickly sets me down before Elder James gets close to us.
"Finally!" I said out loud while arranging my clothes neatly.
"Dear are you okay?" Bertha said rubbing my back.
"Oh I'm fine I enjoy being thrown over an ignorant person's back without any consent," I said sarcastically.
"Dear as much as I enjoy your sarcasm. I was worried sick when you didn't answer your phone." She said with concern on her face.
"I'm sorry, Bertha but someone here decided to burn my phone up," I said glaring at Duke.
"Fire Elemental why did you do that?" Elder James shouts at him but he doesn't say anything.
"You're going to get detention, young man." Elder James said but Duke still does nothing.
Does he honestly care? An Elemental with great powers yet, he is an arrogant, psychotic and the most infuriating person I have ever met.
"Sir, I think we need to wipe her memory," Fray said pointing at me.
"Don't you know pointing is rude," I said.
"Well, you were rude not to answer my question." She puffs.
"Why do we need to erase her memory?" He asked.
"Because she knows my name. I don't know how she found out, but you said it was bad for people to know." She said.
"You will do no such thing!" He said.
"But why sir?" She said getting more angry.
"Miss Valentine is a very important and very powerful person in this Academy. Even you are less powerful than her." He said causing me to want to smack my head.
"What? You expect us to bow down to her like she is our queen?" She said sarcastically.
"No, I don't but even you as an Elemental shouldn't look down at people," I said.
"Like you know anything about us." She mutters to herself.
"Like I care to get to know you. I would never consider someone so stuck-up and ignorant as you as an Elemental." I said crossing my arms.
"You bitch!" She shouts before she charging towards me.
She is just seconds away from punching me directly at my chin which would have caused a big bruise but I grab her arm and twist it causing her to wail in pain.
"When on the battlefield, you should never underestimate your opponent even when you think they're weak," I said staring down at her.
"Bitch you will pay for this." She cries out before I twist her arm even more and let go of it.
"Even if you are an Elemental. I would not need an army to take you out. By now you should have use your powers to defeat me or kicked me but you didn't that shows how unskilled you are." I said.
"I think we need to sign you guys up for more combat class if you all fight like that." Bertha said.
"I think we should." Elder James agrees with her.
"Maybe there's no point. If they all don't take it seriously then they will surely fail. Being an Elemental isn't just something you lazy around. You train to be one. Thinking you are the greatest just because you are different will get you killed." I said before walking away.
"Whether you're an Elemental or not."
