Chapter 47 – Gabriel POV

“Katie is here…” I whispered, my eyes focused on the Mother and something was off, because while Chelsea murmured and thought ‘yes,’ the Mother, her eyes didn’t agree with that statement. “Your sister didn’t want to return, so she was waiting here until we could send her wolf spirit onto another… you can say that it is what happened with Jamie.” The woman explained.

I took a minute trying to process what I was being told, “So she’s – Katie isn’t – whose getting her wolf spirit?” I stuttered.

Mother smiled, “I believe that someone is newly pregnant on the island,” her voice soft, and my eyes widen. “Julia?” I choked out in a whisper. Mother nodded, “Yes, it had to be the right fit, you understand?” I nodded woodenly. It was an emotional over-load for me, first the video and now this? I – I didn’t know how – my breathing increased. Chelsea came forward and stood in front of me, “Gabe,” her hand came up and caressed my cheek, concern in her eyes, “I’m sorry,” her voice hoarse. Blinking I nodded, closing my eyes I leaned further into her touch, and when I opened my eyes we were back in my office.

No longer in the white room.

“She… Katie… at least she’s at peace,” I said stiffly, “I – you said she didn’t want to come back, but – but I thought I’d have a chance-”

“Her wolf spirit will be around us,” Chelsea interrupted, trying to console me. Shaking my head I swallowed, “She’s been gone for a while, Love, it’s just – I guess – that it’s final now,” I whispered, pulling us to my chair, just enjoying my mate in my arms and the silence.

“I think we should speak to Mack Reyes, Kieran… he thinks of Mack often in snippets you know?” it’s not organized so I can’t pick up much data from them, but I think Mack knows a lot, he is the one that remembered Kieran’s family.

Chelsea had a point, and while I wanted to speak to Kieran, get information from his mind, he wasn’t in a place where that would be helpful to him or us. He was still trying to erase the memories he did have, I wouldn’t be the one to break him down that way.

My mom was – is – an amazing psychologist, and the one thing I’ve learned from her I could say is that, you never rush someone to speak about a traumatic event. If it’s someone you care about, you hate to sit by and watch what happens to him or her, but you simply cannot and should not force him or her or add pressure for them to speak to a professional. If for any reason they need to heal, they should want to do it for themselves, to give them selves peace of mind, not to please anyone for whatever reason. It has to be something that they want and are willing to endure.

Instead I reached out to Marlon.

Marlon, I call him over the link while Remy continues to put the pieces together from the data she is recovering. After coming to the assumption that the Elders were seeking immortality, we both wrote that off, it was just too simple.

Yes Alpha? Marlon replied.

Bring Liam Spencer and Mack Reyes, I held off calling Kieran.

You’re not calling Kieran? Chelsea asked, I shake my head, “It – something that hasn’t made much sense to me is these people,” I point to the list in front of me, “They escape, they don’t go straight to the public, if anything it takes effort on behalf of the Elders to continue hunting them.” I’m thinking its because they were the successful, she thought and I had to agree.

“Exactly. It went to the point where your father had to step in, what was so important that they continued to seek them out if not that they were important? Why not just let them settle when they realized that they weren’t going to bring any harm to their secret project? Unless they are the key, or something about them is special? Because there were more prisoners in these places right? Why not just cut their loses when they couldn’t get a hold-” we remained silent just waiting for when Marlon, Mack and Liam arrived outside my office.

Marlon I want to speak to Mack Reyes first, I told him when I knew they were all gathered outside in the waiting area of my office.

Once he entered, and was seated I took a moment to look at his physical features, buzz cut blonde hair, muscular and on his arm was the same tattoo that Kieran had, R-43.

“I knew it was only a matter of time before you guys brought me in here,” he said calmly, his brown eyes void of any emotion, his thoughts another matter.

“How did you all escape the facility?” images in his head showing us that in reality they didn’t so much as escape as Kieran released them.

“Some of us had privileges… based on how well you followed directions. Kieran had more rank and honestly we don’t know… one day he just opened our cells and said we needed to run. But he had no memory of anything – or where to go… we didn’t know where else to go, but I could remember Kieran talking about his family so we tracked them down. We – Frances DeAnna, Lynne, Alexis and Bryant – might have family of our own like he did but we couldn’t remember them…”

Chelsea was stiff but her frame was shaking, “So Kieran-”

“His time there was different-”

“You both have the same tattoos,” Chelsea pointed out.

“Yes, but that’s because we were the only ones that seemed to survive their experiments…” Mack countered.

“Which was?”

He shrugged, “I can’t tell you it’s not like they told us specifically what they were going to do to us. We were treated as animals, they didn’t speak to us, and they didn’t speak around us, just instructions. Stand. Sit down. Lay down. Stand up. Bend over. Left arm. Right arm. Open wide,” Mack says in an eerily robotic fashion.

Liam comes in and as for his time in one of the facilities he knows even less than Mack had, but it’s unfortunately similar. Remy and I sit, trying to unencrypt the files finding nothing like we had of the video, only that it was tag success.

“I know you don’t want to speak to Kieran, but I think… Gabriel I don’t understand how he was able to free them. Liam escaped after studying his surroundings, but Mack said that he was able to just free them, even if we don’t want to force him to speak about such things, I would at least like to know what happened? I mean did he study his environment and then decide to help them escape? And Mack said that there were others in the facility but Kieran only freed the people that had the same R43 tattoo that he had…” Chelsea says pacing from one end of my office to the other.

“Mack – he said something,” Remy interrupted Chelsea’s pacing, “he said that they weren’t told anything, just given commands,” taping away on her keyboard for a few moments the same video we found comes on again, “Okay, look at the little boy after this happened, he doesn’t look like he’s aware of what just happened. I – I saw the marks on Mack’s arms, they are identical to the boy here,” Remy said.

I nodded, this was what I had been thinking when we were in the Hereafter, “And – and what’s more is I know – I’ve seen these two faces Boss,” she puts the computer on the table walking to the screen, she taps on two of the children, before they are slaughtered.

“Do you remember when I was searching for missing children back when Chelsea was kidnapped, you were in the forest surrounding Russell’s home?” I nodded. “Well these two are human children – Kai, pull up the missing persons images,” Remy commanded and next to the video still are two of the children, one missing from Florida missing since June, the other North Carolina and missing since September.

“I’ve found the missing boy as well, he’s from one of the group homes… reported as running away,” Remy spat angrily, “Do you know how old he was when he supposedly ‘ran away?’” she asked stiffly, standing as straight as a board, “He was five… he ran away to where?”

I slunk back in my chair, thinking of myself when I was just over six years old, I had ran away, I wanted to search for ‘mines’ Anya hadn’t come back and I was getting anxious, we had Audrey but she wasn’t ‘mines.’

“I – I can see how – or maybe why the reports say that though,” Chelsea said coming over to Remy and I, “I mean from the perspective of the ones running the home… he could have ran to where he thought his family was… not understanding that they were gone-” Chelsea said as she went to Remy’s computer reading from the notes that were written.

“See,” she pointed showing Remy, “They wrote that themselves, that he continued to ask for his family, saying that he needed to find them, it would make sense that they thought he ran away-” Chelsea stopped speaking when Remy faced us her eyes sad. “Remy why… why don’t you take a break… go spend some time with Jeremy and Emmalynn,” Chelsea offered, knowing that when it came to this – kids and death – Remy was putting on a brave face, trying to help with the decoding, but still mourning the loss of her own baby.

Her eyes closed, and she shook her head, “I’m not – I’m okay,” she lied, “I mean, the Elders are – they’re treating children like their disposable, how – how do we stop them?” she asked beseechingly, her blue eyes wide, waiting for an answer that as of now, we had no definite option to give her.

“We gather information, we train, and we come up with some sort of plan, because well… I’m not saying I don’t want to save whomever the Elders have that we don’t know, but they have Unseen… Devotees, Researchers… so many people in their pockets, whatever we do, we need to make sure that we have a plan in place to handle all these people-”

“I saw we slaughter anyone who took part in any of this, harming children,” Remy spat that desolate look no longer in her eyes. “I mean – if we can’t do that, then how about we just build a large prison and lock them up for life-”

“Yeah… but how long would that be? Some of these people are supernaturals, they have an indefinite life span,” Chelsea added, calming as well, thoughts of what to do with these people once we found them racing along her mind. Going to the door, she opens it before anyone knocks and ushers Nonno and Violet inside, “You called us?” Nonno asks standing.

“Yes, Remy thought about when I went missing… Gabriel had shown me that you two drew facial composites of the people that Angel had dreamt, that he had seen as well?” Chelsea asked. The two nodded in confusion.

“We interviewed Mack Reyes and Liam Spencer, and I was able to see some of the people they remembered from the facilities where they were locked up,” Chelsea moved to her spot in the corner near the window, the sofa and table covered in her drawing supplies, “Well, I’ve already drawn two of these people, based on what I saw, I still have nearly twenty or so in my mind, and since you all can draw…” she didn’t need to finish that sentence because Nonno and Violet were both already nodding moving to grab a sketchbook and drawing pencils, finding a spot in the office, they looked to Chelsea waiting for her to send them the images.

Once she had, she ripped two sheets and walked over to Remy, “Here are two White coats,” she said using the name I had heard from a few people on the island, one of them Kieran.

Everyone working diligently on a different task we continued the search, while I theorized what we could do when we had done all we could with just searching. I’m not sure Chelsea had come to the same conclusion but there was only so much we could do from behind our computers on this island. The one thing I did start to realize was that Remy was onto something about building a sort of prison for all these people. The truth was we couldn’t kill them immediately not when it seemed that the way the Elders were covering their bases were that not everyone knew more than what their job was. Each person had information, by just killing them, taking them out before we had a chance to speak to them, their wealth of knowledge died with them, and on the off chance that we didn’t kill them straight away? The Elders had that covered by only revealing so much to each person.

But the Elders hold went so much further than just giving each person information that unless you questioned everyone you would get nothing. When captured these same people were sacrificing themselves, willing to die before giving anything away. The only thing that seemed to be incorruptible to an extent was the mate bond, if they were shifters. Which is probably why they had so many humans working for them, Max added after being silent most of the day.

Gabriel, Chelsea called me after some time, knowing where my thoughts were heading, I think we should bring Wolf here… let him in on this… we need help, we can’t keep using Logan alone, I might not be able to trust Jay, but I think I can trust Wolf. I’ve been keeping track of his thoughts; she looked up at me from across the room, focused. Sure.

You think he can keep this from Jay? I questioned, watching as she bit her lip in concentration, her eyebrows mashed together. I think he can, I mean it was different when he was not seeing the light about Rian, but now, he has his own kids to worry about, grandkids, he can’t risk them… he’s thought that about Logan numerous times, he’s been working well with Logan for two weeks now.

If you want to start picking up people from the drawings, we need to use Wolf as well… we can’t have it all on Logan, she said worrying her lip.

I nodded, we could just force him to never tell Jay, I told her after some time, and then we’d really have our bases covered when it came to Wolf.

Kieran POV

Oakley was brilliant, pretty, and kind, and she was a lovely violin player too, are we listening to the same thing? Nyx asked me with a groan as she finished playing a bright smile on her face.

“How was that?” She asked Nora who quickly replied.

“It’s not supposed to sound that way…” her face pinched and head cocked to the side as though she was in pain. Finally, see… Nyx whined.

“Keep practicing though,” Nora tagged on when Oakley’s smile dropped, “you’ve only just started playing a few days ago, you won’t be perfect at it immediately…” her tone filled with optimistic encouragement. While they continued talking after Oakley’s lesson I sat quietly my thoughts drifting further and further away from her playing.

Sometimes while on the mountain I would be forced after a dream to remember my life in the facility. My body shaking, alone, memories taking my sanity, piece by piece. There was no way out it felt like; I had been physically released but mentally… I shook my head not going there. I remembered everything that happened because it was what I deserved. There was no other reason, everything had happened because I wasn’t good. I didn’t listen and so because of that, I had to learn.

But what if that isn’t why everything happens? What if Kieran you only had this done to you because of opportunity, easy access and nothing more? Nyx thought, reminding me, “Yeah… he searched for her for ten years, never gave up…” Jack had said but Logan’s sister wasn’t bad, she was only a child… She was good that’s why he searched for her.

Is that really true? Nyx asked me, “But that’s family, you know? When someone goes missing for whatever reason you have to look for him or her… you have to get closure any way you can… the pack Logan belonged too, they forbad him from looking for her, but he still did. Formed his crew, and for years they’ve been searching and protecting not just our supernatural kinds but humans as well.” Jack had told his mate but I wasn’t one of those children, White coats told me them selves that I was bad, they didn’t lie…

“Hey… what’s got you so quiet?” Oakley asked next to me, did I tell her? I thought to myself. Instead I just shook my head not sure I could even explain what I was dealing with inside of my head, “It’s okay to tell me you know Kieran,” her voice soft, not pushing or harsh.

I shook my head not ready to tell her but I did want to know something, “Jack said that if someone is lost that their family should look for them, so that they know what happened,” Oakley nodded so I guess she agreed with this and I also guess that I agreed as well. To some point.

“I guess… I wonder… well… my parents didn’t search for me,” I whisper looking away, because I’m sure that she’s worked out why, she knows I’m bad, but Oakley is nice, she won’t say anything.

“Of course they looked for you, when kids go missing people do searches for them Kieran, I mean the police get involved, so I’m sure that your parents looked for you,” she said with total conviction. I wasn’t so convinced.

“Do – would you – I want to go see them, will you come with me?” I asked her, not wanting to go alone, she nodded but she fidgeted a bit.

“What?”

She shook her head, “Well I haven’t really seen them since I shocked your mother a week ago,” she said her face red.

“I don’t think they’ll hurt you, plus Gabriel said I should take someone when I go see them so that no one hurts me,” I repeat his words.

From Tera I heard that Connor was in the hospital for a few days after took away his wolf, but now he was back home, still unable to remember anything. I felt bad, this was my fault, he lost his wolf because of me. No he didn’t, Nyx chided me swiftly once again and I wouldn’t be having this argument with him once again. Heading down to the kitchen I stopped, “Hey Nona, I want to go to see Carla and Tony, will you come with Oakley and I?” I asked her shyly. Her features soft, she smiled nodding at me, washing her hands and putting whatever she was making into the fridge.

“Are you going to see your brother Connor?” Nona asked quietly from behind Oakley and I.

Looking over my shoulder I shook my head, “No, I wanted – well I just wanted to ask Carla and Tony a question,” I replied turning my head forward so she wouldn’t question me more. Luckily it worked because we walked to their house without a single word uttered again.

When we got to the house, my stomach was turning, rolling over on it self, I couldn’t – I was having such a confusing time, I just wanted it settled, I wanted to know for sure. I wanted confirmation that I was bad, that Jack, Chelsea, Oakley, all of them were wrong that the White Coats were the ones that were right.

‘Why would your parents search for you Kieran, you were bad, you were a bad son,’ one told me… Logan searched for his sister but she wasn’t bad like me. Oakley offered me her hand, which I took greedily, I wanted her with me but at the same time I didn’t want her to hear that I wasn’t good. Sensing my problem, she tugged on my hand, “I’ll stay out here if you want, with Nona,” she offered.

“No!” the words shouted, much louder than I was aiming for them, “I – I need you with me,” I whispered almost ashamed to say the words, I look down kicking at the dirt.

“Then with you I’ll be mountain king,” she said squeezing my hand in hers just a bit. I inspected her, looking at her face for a sign of dishonesty, “I won’t let go Kieran, I promise, scouts honor-” she stopped her face reddening.

“Well I wasn’t a scout though, but it’s just a saying,” she waved her other hand, rambling. I blinked in confusion, “I just – I won’t let go, is all I’m trying to say,” she said bobbing her head. Deciding to leave that alone and just believe her words we walked up the steps to the porch and I knocked on the door. Dropping my hand and waiting, until Carla opened the door, her eyes widened and taking in my face. “Oh – oh you cut your hair, I mean Tera said that you did because-” she stopped abruptly not mentioning that I had to cut my hair shorter to make it look better since some of it was shaved.

“It’ll grow back,” I muttered tightening the grip I had on Oakley’s hand, when Carla finally did glance at Oakley I could see the annoyance there, “Cut that out!” I snapped at her moving myself a bit closer to Oakley, “She wouldn’t have had to shock you if you didn’t listen.” The words just tumbled out and she took a step back, her eyes wide as she stared at me.

“I wanted to ask you something,” I said moving this along not wanting to stay too long.

“I – I – I just – Kieran,” Carla stuttered her eyes flashing down to my mine and Oakley’s intertwined fingers. “You don’t know how hard it is… to want to give you comfort and not being able to do so-”

“So you wanted to give me comfort… that I wouldn’t remember, recognize or even feel because I was in an induced coma?” I countered dryly.

“Did you look for me?” I blurted out before she could even give me another excuse or whatever it was she would say.

Her eyes widened, “We – we – I – your father and I, we went to the Elders, they told us that we should just contact the different packs-”

“You didn’t call the police?” Oakley questioned her tone harsh, cutting.

Carla shook her head, see… I was bad, turning away I wanted to leave, I had gotten all the proof I needed that the White coats weren’t liars.

“Kieran – Kieran – stop! We couldn’t search for you that way, it isn’t allowed for our kind!” I heard behind me and felt Oakley stop walking halting me as well.

“We called every pack and we sent everyone on the Elders registry online a picture of you, asking for help to find you, to seek you out. We bagged different items that would have your scent on it and sent them to other packs so that they could track you by scent, we – there was nothing – we – when the pack had to move because we were getting attacked by vampires – we stayed. We didn’t want for us to move and you come back and not find us,” Carla said to my back, I looked over my shoulder.

Her eyes were glassy, “The Elders were the ones that took me in the first place,” I muttered walking away, they searched for you Kieran, they searched for you, Nyx repeated over and over. When we made it back to the house, I dropped Oakley’s hand, “I need to be alone,” I muttered not looking at her and storming up to my room, nothing was making any sense anymore. I was bad, that's why I was punished... right? I mean, it had to be the reason.

__________________________

- Wolf may be coming?

- Why do you guys think Kieran needs it to be the reason?

so I didn't get to do Q/A last chapter cause I wasn't feeling too well but here it is now.

1. I was thrown off when I read the whole Kiley, Hunter, Justine triangle. Don't get me wrong it was a great twist and the punishment was brilliant but all I think was "WHY" I'm so tired of the stupidness of these people on the island. I don't even want to invest feeling sorry for Kiley there's too much going on already. I hate reading about Oakley and her feelings about her dad I want to hit him over the head with a bat or shake him tell his head rolls off. He frustrates the heck out of me. That being said you know I love your writing and stories even if they make me crazy sometimes. Thanks for updating... While it was out of nowhere, it was also a chance to showcase what Chelsea is capable of… how far her reach can go I guess. We know she’s the Chosen one, but instead of just TELLING you guys what she can do I want to show you snippets of her ability as well as when she steps in to use them.

2. I know it's probably a long ways from now, but I can't wait for Oak to shift, Rainy's other children to come out, & Chelsea to have a baby. lol That's like my ultimate goal for her! Anyways, this chapter was good, as always! I don't care how long this series is, I'm gonna read every word. Do you have any ideas for more stories in the future? So I have NOTEBOOKS of outlines written for this journey. Sometimes it’ll be just about Chelsea and others could have more focus on other characters. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get to them because well… too many reasons lol.

3. I'm really sad for Kiley. She's never going to get her HEA and on top of that she's going to lose her wolf. she's paying for their choices. I wonder if you did Justines pov, is she sad she hurt her sister or is she more concerned about how her decision is going to affect her own life? I won’t do a Justine pov but I will touch on this again.

4. I wish I could know what is going on with Pat n what he thinks like does he regret his actions towards Oak or how is he dealing with their so called death n more over how is he dealing with Sarah n Amelia hope he sees how they treated Oak. So far all we know about pat is that he’s moved in with his parents and has no money because Norine planned well lol

5. I am loving these journal entries. Having Oakley acknowledge her feelings, emotions, and thoughts into words is amazing! I hope her father will see these entries and surprise us all by agreeing with her, instead of defending Sarah's and his actions. The journal entries some people hate them, some like them. I won’t be doing one EACH time Oakley has a pov, especially because some of them, should be revealed when PAT is the one reading them. Yet I should say just because I’m not including them in each POV doesn’t mean she isn’t adding as time goes along. THAT BEING SAID, realistically Pat will never just be able to give up Sarah and Amelia, and this new baby for Oakley. I know I could do that and just write that he never saw them again, choosing Ben, but… I WOULDN’T LIKE THAT VERY MUCH, it wouldn’t even make me see Pat as redeeming if he did that. Which is why I’m trying to show Oakley growing, understanding that she wants and needed him at one point, but she can survive without him. It’s sad but… **sigh**

6. I always love Oakleys point of view it always ends up making me cry when it comes to her talking about her dad I mean I know she is fictional but it just makes me feel so bad because this kind of stuff actually happens and thinking about my relationship with my dad it makes me feel so bad that she is missing out. I mean fathers are the person that give you courage and support I don't understand how Pat could just forget he had a daughter who was crying out for his help I'm actually not surprised at the actions that Oakley took. So I never thought I would write about someone who tried to take their own life because, it’s SUCH a difficult topic, it’s hard to write about and most times there’s this shame that comes with that… in Oakley’s case I started the book with her doing that because when I end I want to show a different girl from where she started. I’m not saying that if things are hard that is the way to go, in fact, ANYONE READING THIS RESPONSE, IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE AND YOU HAVE NO ONE TO TALK TO, I’M NOT A PROFESSIONAL BUT I’LL LISTEN. I don’t mind at all. Now as I was saying, for Oakley the pain is there because for those that do not see it, SHE WAS REPLACED. To her, it was one thing when Pat checked out on both her and Ben, but now she’s seeing that he checked in again, but still it wasn’t for her and Ben, it was for someone else.

7. Oakley's letter to her father makes me realize how much you want your characters to be independent or grow the independence they need and I feel that on a personal level. it's such a great feeling to see it even if it's in a story. everyone deserves that independency in their lives. Yeah, I’m all for characters finding love, and support but I really want to write about characters that WANT growth, they WANT to be independent as well as having love, safety and support.

8. The changes that Chelsea is going to bring had better have an impact on the way mate bonds are treated. it seems like people think short term, and geographically close. Hunters mate wasn't on the island, and that makes it OK to make a substitute? come on. I hope that in Chelsea's world, when all is said and done, wolves have the sense and respect to keep their pants buttoned up tight. Knowing that everyone has a true mate, why would someone entertain the thought? when you are functionally immortal, you would thing a few decades or a century wandering the planet to find your mate would be fulfilling. Not snagging up a stand in just because its convenient and they're close. You’re so right. It’s not about right but the right now to the kids here on the island, Hunter and Justine were born on the island, to them nothing else exists outside of this place. They’ve seen more people be brought to the island but they’ve never experienced life outside of it and when you don’t know what’s out there, you don’t think of what you’re doing as wrong. Yes no one was their mate, but now, it’s an example to everyone, Justine is with the person that was meant for Kiley. She’s put her family in such a tough spot, and while there is a lot of that going around, especially since technically, Gabriel wasn’t supposed to be here… his father isn’t with his true mate. It’s sort of a catch22 situation at play. Granted we don’t know much about his mate, we do sorta ‘know’ that he only got with Mina AFTER…

9. I hope you give more details about how Chelsea can communicate with the mother so quickly when she's had to visit her before. Or maybe the mother is speaking to her through the third wolf. The third wolf always seems to be more 'in the know' about the more involved things and the timing of things than the other two wolves. Also the third wolf seems to only speak out about things like when and how to use her powers. The other two wolves seem to not be involved in those conversations, but have a lot more to do with Chelsea's relationships than the third wolf. I guess they seem to be like everyone else's wolves while the third wolf seems to behave like the mother has when she interacts with Chelsea. When I was writing that Chelsea was communicating with the mother, from gabriel’s POV it doesn’t show that Chelsea went to the Hereafter to speak to her. Chelsea can’t speak to her from this realm, she has to go there to do so. Her third wolf, MANY have messaged me privately with their guesses on just who that wolf is really, and the part she plays in terms of how she’s helping Chelsea. You are right about the other two, Aria and Aveena, who have taken a step back (for a reason) are more on a personal level with Chelsea… if that makes sense. They sort of eased her into the supernatural world and I think if I had written more in the beginning of this story it would’ve been easier to see that.

10. do you have a instagram account? No, I do not. I have the facebook account that I use to post teasers for the stories… (just type: www.facebook.com/newxseason or search Roxann Season) On there if you make a cover for the story just post it on the profile, sometimes people send me images and they’ve found and I make my own covers.

11. That's good! George has had far too much control over his family and they are slowly realizing that it'll only get you killed and their loved one too... someone besides Gabriel had to see that, and it was Ethan.

12. OMGGGG!! THEY'RE EXPERIMENTING WITH HER BLOOD TRYING TO CREATE MORE!!!!!!! Yes, they are.

13. As we keep going, I can't find any redeeming quality in any of the elders. Chelsea's mom must have been incredibly strong to have stayed undercover with them for so long. Exactly, then knowing that they killed her family as well… it’s one of the ways I tried to show that Anya/Elder Bellamy/Norine had some good qualities about her, she had a bad hand dealt to her but she still tried to be more.

14. I think whatever the Elders got cooking in their research facilities they somehow found a way to convert that something into a mist and it affects those injected with that R-43 or whatever and that's why that child reacted that way. But I'm probably reaching.... NO YOU AREN’T LOL.

15. So anyways my comment on this chaper/teaser! I'm totally sad that the elder are using these children to kill other children just for power! but when you're power hungry you will do anything, even lose your humanity and soul smh. this book has honestly got me thinking about different things morals. loyalty. it has me looking at the bigger picture in the real world. like how where I live it's has the highest rate of sex trafficking I previously didn't know that & a whole bunch other stuff thats going on right where I live. it's like my house is the island and im being sheltered from all the things that I think isn't going on but really is. if you understand what I mean? I TOTALLY get what you’re saying, if something isn’t really happening to someone you love and know personally it’s easy to forget that bad things are happening every second but the truth is that it is. Just because you aren’t getting a front row seat, or you have your own life issues to deal with doesn’t mean its not. I love that analogy about your house being an Island and while I lOVE that you’re even thinking like that, I’m also very very very very happy that you’re safe and protected because not everyone has that.

16. I think the government let out of the bag the existence of shifters, is because they're using them as weapons, which someone pointed out before me. It makes sense to take children because they are easy to mold, and have them think their captor's way. I also believe that the Elders want Kieran, Liam, and Mack back is because those three are success cases. Yes, but with no proof it’s just speculation, which is why I have Logan searching for data, and yes, you are right about wanting the successful people back.

17. It's conditioning! The beatings, the pain, the torment of the children is all conditioning. I think that during all the beatings, mental, physical and emotional torture, they release the mist at the same time. This causes them to shift but the pain doesn’t stop until they shift into the half shift and during the conditioning, they attack perhaps animated things and only the enraged and crazed half shift can stop the torture. This is my theory anyway. So your theory is very close to the truth, kind of… you got the part about conditioning correctly. From the clues I was dropping with Kieran and now the video, and everything, that’s what they’ve been doing, and I know sometimes people think it doesn’t work, but tell that to Pavlov’s Dog, or those that were participants in the Milgram experiment or the Stanford experiments. I mean I’ve already said that I do A LOT of research for my stories, besides just learning to write well I try to make it as real as possible so yeah. I know a lot of people read these and are like “nothing from here could ever happen…” THAT IS NOT TRUE. I could probably write a book just by commenting on this comment alone so I’ll leave it at that lol.

18. Can't Oakley be the fire elemental meaning light and the reason for the electricity??? I really want her to be part of the elementals and there are 4 events not three. Well there are Earth, Air, Fire and Water. She has an element, but it’s not one of the main four, hers is created by using two of the of the others as bases.
