Thank you to all of you who sent me get well messages. I know it's been awhile since I've updated, but I've been really sick. Anyways, thank you again to all of you, I really appreciate it, and it made me feel a little bit better :) Sorry I didn't edit, I wasn't feeling well enough. Stay awesome!

"Why were you hiding in the hallway?" Rana asked as Jafar stepped into the apartment, and he gave a smile.

"I wasn't hiding. I just heard you holding them hostage, and I didn't want to have to stand there with my hands up." He teased, and Rana glared at him.

"Be quiet Jafar."

"You have to admit it was funny Rana."

"Nobody asked you!" she retorted, and he shook his head in amusement.

"I hate to interrupt, but Jamaal will be here any second." Laith said, drawing attention back in his direction. "As I said before, we enlisted Jafar's help to be on the inside as Sami couldn't be around all the time without everyone getting suspicious, and our cameras could only pick so much up. He was also there to protect you girls if anything were to happen, such as, well, Emma getting taken." He said a bit wistfully, and Jafar scowled slightly.

"You had to bring that up didn't you?"

Laith sighed.

"Look man I was just giving an example I wasn't tryin..." Suddenly a ringing filled the air, and as Laith looked down at his phone, he grimaced slightly. "It's Jamaal. I will be right back." He said, and as he stepped out of the apartment, Jenna turned to look at Jafar.

"Okay wait. I'm confused." She said, and Jafar took a seat on the couch.

"What are you confused about?" he asked, and Jenna put her hands up.

"Everything! I thought you were the traitor."

He raised an eyebrow.

"Traitor? What do you mean?"

"Oh. Um, apparently one of Hud's men is betraying him and giving information to Jamaal."

"I did not know that."

"Neither did I." Sami said.

"Why did you think I was a traitor?" Jafar asked, and she flushed slightly.

"Because I saw you doing some pretty weird things."

"Such as?"

"Well when you came into Hud's office that one time when I was there. Or when you were doing something odd to Omar's door next to the laundry room. Or when we met Laith in the lobby and you guys were like glaring at each other. Or how you kept saying that Emma being gone was your fault!"

He gave a small smile.

"I do apologize if I made you distrust me. I can explain all of those things. As for why I went into Hudayfah's office, it's quite simple. My cell phone had died, and I needed to use the phone to check in. But if I used the downstairs phone, everyone would hear what I was saying, so I used the one in his office."

"Oh." Jenna said a bit embarrassedly.

"As for what I was doing at Omar's door, and by the way you would make an amazing spy yourself as I was not even aware you were there," Jenna smiled, "I was dusting for fingerprints. We wanted a record of everyone who went in and out of that room, just in case someone who was not supposed to be there was there."

"I see. I feel quite silly now." Jenna said quietly, and he waved a hand in the air.

"That is not necessary. You had a right to be cautious, and again I apologize for making you feel uneasy around me."

Just then Laith came back in.

"What did he say?" Sami asked.

Laith rolled his eyes.

"He wanted to know where I put the Cheetos, he couldn't find them."

Sami groaned.

"Is he on his way?"

"He said he would be leaving soon, and would call when he was on his way so I can meet him downstairs. So what are we talking about? Any other questions?" he asked.

"Jenna wants to know why you and I were not exactly polite with each other that day you made Maria and Emma's acquaintance."

Laith winced.

"Oh. Well we had just gotten into a fight the day before."

"What about?" Rana asked curiously.

"I wanted to disclose my involvement with the FBI so Hudayfah wouldn't feel so burdened. I also wanted to confide in Emma all that was going on so she would be more cautious. Laith didn't agree." Jafar said, and Laith shifted uncomfortably.

"I am sorry about that. By the time we realized he intended to take Emma, it was too late to stop him without arousing suspicion." He said ruefully.

"Alhamdulillah she is safe now." Jenna said. "But why would you feel responsible Jafar?"

He shook his head.

"I should have done it anyway. Then she would have been aware of the danger, and wouldn't have wandered off. And I also felt guilty for letting her go. When Laith had texted me that Jamaal had sent men to the mall for her, I desperately searched the whole store, but they had already taken her."

"It isn't your fault Jafar." She said softly, and he smiled at her again.

"You are very kind, but Alhamdulillah I managed to get her out of there, so it clears my guilt quite a bit."

"What about Muhsin?"

"What about him?"

"He said that someone delivered a ticket to our house to bring him to New York. Was that your doing as well?"

Laith nodded.

"It was. We needed him here. One of the men we have watching your parents delivered it to him."

"You have people looking after my parents?" Jenna asked, and Laith nodded again.

"Yes. Hudayfah has some as well, but we added a few of our own men to be extra cautious."

"Thank you." She whispered, and he smiled.

"No thanks necessary."

"Hey! What's going on? Are you having a party without me!?" Muhsin asked cheerfully as he came into the room, but his face paled as he spotted Laith. "Ah oh my God! He's a bad guy! Run Jenna! RUN!" he shouted.

"Calm down Muhsin." Laith said with a slight eye roll, and Muhsin shook his head, striking a Karate pose.

"I'm the protector here! Get away from my sister!" He bellowed, and Jenna hurriedly stood up.

"It's okay Muhsin! He's trying to help us!" she said taking his arm, and he glared at Laith suspiciously.

"What? I don't understand." He said in a confused voice, and Sami shook his head in amusement.

"Come Muhsin, let me explain some things to you." He said standing up, and once the two had left the room, Jenna sat back down, turning to look at Jafar.

"So do you know who the traitor is?"

He shook his head.

"Unfortunately I do not. I was not even aware there was a traitor. Hud and Rami kept it a well-guarded secret."

"Traitor? What do you mean a traitor?" Laith asked, and Rana raised an eyebrow.

"One of Hudayfah's men has been a double crosser for Jamaal. You didn't know this?"

"Really?" Laith asked with a frown.

"Yeah, I guess they call him the red snake." Jenna added.

Laith's eyes widened in understanding.

"Oh! Yeah we knew that, but we didn't really see him as a threat. He would just go down with Jamaal and the rest of the gang when we arrested them."

"Do you know who he is?" Jafaar asked.

"Well I've never actually met the guy but his name is..." suddenly his phone rang again, and he put up a hand to silence them before answering. "Hello? Yeah I'm here." Suddenly his face took on a panicked expression. "Okay I'll be waiting, bye." As he hung up the phone, he hurriedly stood. "Okay he is five minutes away. SAMI!"

"What?" he asked coming back in, a stunned looking Muhsin following behind him.

"Jamaal will be here any minute. Okay, Muhsin and Jenna, you have to act normal, be doing what you would normally be doing, but you have to also act like you would if he had come here without warning. So put up a fight, or yell or whatever. Sami, Rana, go upstairs and hide with Maria, Jafar you'll have to go with them as well. Let's go, we don't have time!" he exclaimed.

"But wait! Won't Jamaal get suspicious that it is only Jenna and Muhsin alone in the house?! Pretty convenient for his kidnapping plan!" Rana exclaimed, and Laith laughed.

"Believe me, Jamaal is so far gone at this point that he won't realize it. And even if he does, you can just say Rami went out with Rana, it's really not that surprising for a married couple to go out together. Now hurry!"

As Rana stood up, she hugged Jenna tightly.

"Everything is going to fine Jenna. Okay?"

"Okay."

She hugged her again.

"I'll see you soon InshaAllah!" she said, and Jenna nodded, her eyes wide with fear as she watched Rana, Sami, and Jafar hurry up the stairs.

"Okay well I would be watching the game, so I'll go in the living room." Muhsin said, and as he left, Jenna turned to Laith who was heading for the front door.

"Laith?"

He paused, turning around to face her.

"Yes?"

"Is Hudayfah okay?" she whispered, and he gave her a kind smile.

"Yes he is."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure."

***

Jenna stood in the kitchen over the sink, her ears strained, listening for the door.

She was so terrified, that she had washed the same dish about twenty times, and each small little sound made her practically jump out of her skin. Tonight had been strange to say the least. She still hadn't processed everything that Laith had told them. Imagine, Jafar and Sami being involved in the FBI! That she had not seen coming, considering she had been suspicious of both of them. But it was also reassuring to know that they weren't alone, and that someone else was there to help get Hudayfah back.

She finished washing the dishes, and started absently preparing a salad, her heart hammering in her chest. All of this extra fear on top of her fear of Hudayfah being gone was too much, and she was honestly worried that she was going to have a heart attack!

Hudayfah.

Oh she missed him so much. The searing pain of his absence had turned into this dullness, a constant reminder that he was gone. Laith's assurance that he was okay unfortunately did nothing to ease her mind. She wouldn't be able to have any relief until she could see him for herself.

Until she could be in his arms.

Until she could tell him that she loved him.

The sound of the doorbell ringing jolted her out of her thoughts, and she shared a glance with Muhsin, before he stood up.

"It's going to be okay Jenna." He said reassuringly, and she nodded, wiping her shaking hands on the kitchen towel. As she heard him walking towards the front door, she leaned against the counter, trying to control how hard her heart was beating.

"Who is it?" Muhsin said into the intercom, and it was not hard to hear the uneasiness in her brother's voice.

"Open up Muhsin. I don't have time for games today." As the raspy voice filled the apartment, Jenna almost lost her composure, trembling slightly as she heard the door open.

"What are you doing here?!" she heard Muhsin exclaim, and as the sound of a scuffle reached her ears, she peeked around the corner into the living room, stifling a gasp as she saw her brother pinned to the floor by two hooded men, Jamaal standing over them with a slight smirk on his face. Almost as if he could sense she was there, he looked up, and as his eyes locked on hers, she stumbled back slightly.

"Jenna." He said softly, and a silence fell over the room as he took a few steps towards her, his hands in his pockets. She just stared at him, and he took a couple of more steps until he was standing in front of her.

Perhaps if she wasn't so terrified of him, and he wasn't the monster she had come to know of him, he would be considered handsome. He was of medium height, strong build, had light brown hair, and wide brown eyes that gave him the illusion of innocence.

Jenna knew better than to trust his looks.

"Well hello there love." He said with a tilt of his head, and when she didn't answer, he leaned against the wall, smiling slightly. "No hello? I thought we had this discussion already?"

Her eyes flickered over to Muhsin again, before she backed up a few paces, his proximity making her feel extremely dizzy. All she wanted to do was to run into her room and lock the door, but her fear of leading him to the others, forced her to remain where she was.

"What do you want?" she asked, trying to sound tough, but wincing as her voice come out slightly hoarse.

His smile widened.

"Come now love, I would think you would be happy to see me!"

"And why is that!?"

He raised his hands in the air.

"I'm such a delight to have around really!" he said cheerfully.

"You're crazy if you think I want you anywhere near me!" she exclaimed as he took another step forward, and she stepped back, bumping into the island.

"Jenna! Run!" Muhsin shouted from where he was struggling underneath the grasp of the two men, and as she realized she wasn't exactly acting like she would if he had showed up unannounced, she made a dash for the backyard door, jerking to a halt as Jamaal grabbed her arm.

"Nice try love." He said with a smile, before he pulled her into the living room, keeping a grip on her arm. "Laith, Rob, search the house." He ordered, and as the two men took off their hoods, Laith gave her the briefest of looks before pulling out his gun.

Once the two men had left the room, Jamaal released his hold on her, looking at her with a grin.

"Well I have to say it is nice to formally meet you! That two seconds when I handed you the roses didn't do us justice! I feel like we have formed a bond from all of the phone calls! Cannot you feel the friendship between us!?" he exclaimed to the room, and as the group of men laughed, she took another step away so she was backed up against the wall.

"Just go away." She whispered, and he gave a laugh.

"No, I have other plans for you two." He paused to look around the room, whistling slightly. "What a nice apartment! But I hear the penthouse is much nicer. Too bad about the fire." He said in mock sympathy, before he sat down on the couch, stretching out.

An awkward silence fell over the room for the next five minutes, the only sound that of Muhsin's occasional struggle, and as Laith and Rob returned, Jamaal rose from his seat. "Was there anyone in the house?" he asked, and as both men shook their heads, he turned back to Jenna, eyeing her suspiciously. "Home alone are you? That seems strange."

She cleared her throat, trying to hide her trembling hands.

"Rana and Rami went out."

"A date night huh? So sweet. You and Hud should do that sometime." He said mockingly, and she shook her head.

"You're such a jerk."

"Now, now. Be nice." He scolded, before he motioned with a hand, and the two men lifted Muhsin off the ground. "Here is how it's going to be. Muhsin, Jenna, we aren't going to tie you up, and you two are going to act completely normal as we go downstairs to the cars. You will do nothing to draw attention to yourselves if you value your lives," he turned to look at Jenna, "and Hudayfah's. Understand?"

When neither one of the spoke, he cleared his throat, cupping a hand over his ear.

"I said, do you understand?"

"Yes." Jenna whispered.

"Muhsin?"

"Yes." Muhsin said with a glare, and Jamaal nodded in satisfaction.

"Great! Let's get going! I want to beat traffic!" he said opening the door, and motioning towards Muhsin who stepped outside, the two men on his heels.

"You won't get away with this!" Jenna said angrily as she stepped around him.

"I just did love." He said cheerfully, before he put out a hand to stop her. "Wait. There is just one introduction I would like to make!" he said turning around. "Though I think, I think you two already know each other!" he grinned again before putting an arm around one of the men. "Take your hood off." He ordered, and while at first the man didn't move, eventually he raised his arms, and as the hood dropped to his shoulders, Jenna let out a gasp, her hand flying to her mouth.

"Oh my God."

Jamaal let out a laugh.

"Jenna, you know Ali don't you?"
