*We're back to Hayley's POV*
I leapt from the bed and called out his name but his door had already slammed shut. What the hell had just happened? Did he really kiss me again and run off? Sighing, I flopped on the bed and just slammed repeatedly the pillow into my face.
Now I was alone once again...wait...I'm alone...alone...ALONE!
I stood up so fast that my whole body toppled over the bed and I fell painfully on my backside. I scrambled up and without thinking I banged on the door Blake had gone through just a minute ago. The door flew open and I my whole body weight fell forward- right into his arms. WHY did I always get into these situations? Like it's not awkward already.
I quickly pushed myself off him and reminded me of the really urgent situation.
"Where's Mia?" I snapped. He seemed to snap out of his daze and blabbered.
"Wh- what?"
"I. Said. Where. Is. Mia?" I drew my hands into tight fists.
"O-oh she's w-with Tony in the game room- yeah that's where she is, with Tony," he cleared his throat and blinked hard. I let out a soft sigh of relief. She's safe. You've got nothing to worry about.
"Okay, okay, that's good..." I averted my eyes when I saw my pillow on his bed, "I'm sorry for...invading your personal space, I think I'll be going to see..Mia." Tugging on my sleeve for no reason, I turned around.
"Oh, no problem. Wait, I'm coming with you...to see my mother." Before I could blink an eye he was beside me. My eyes widened and I gave a short nod before quickly walking off- away from him. Unfortunately his strides were so long that he was already in front of me. We descended the stairs together.
He was staring at me. I could feel it. Resisting the urge from looking back at him, I averted my eyes to the floor. I walked quicker; desperate to get away from his intense stare. Where the hell was the game room? I swept my eyes over the living room until it settled on an incredible sight. Blake seemed to stop by me in surprise too.
Mia was running around the table, shrieking and laughing as Tony chased her- he too was roaring in laughter. Suddenly, Tony leapt forward and and caught Mia's shirt. Squealing, they both crashed to the floor.
"I got you!" Tony shouted and started to tickle Mia in hysterics.
"T-tony stop! I- can't breath hahahah," she burst into another fit of laughter. He finally stopped when his head lifted up to meet Blake and I.
Mia's smile widened when she saw me too. I knelt down and opened my arms wide. She scrambled up and jumped into them.
"Pig! I'm sorry for running off," she said, making me shake my head.
"No, don't apologize, it seems like you had real fun with Tony here," I grinned.
"Yeah! We played with his lego and then we decided to play catch! Can I go play with him again sometime?" She bit her lip.
"Of course! But don't forget that school starts in about thirty minutes," I nodded and she squealed and pecked me on the cheek before rushing back to him. My heart swelled in happiness. I was so glad that she was having fun and enjoying her time. It had been so long...so long.
"I wish you would smile more often," Blake muttered making my head snap up in shock. He had a dazed off look as if he didn't even know what he had just said. Had he been talking about me? I shook my head and stood up to walk back upstairs now that I knew Mia was safe.
"'Morning kiddos! Did you sleep well?" Blake's mom, Jenny suddenly appeared on top of the stairs.
"Yes ma'am, thank you," I gave her a genuine smile. She squealed and clapped her hands, "Oh goodie, I'm going to head to the kitchen to make breakfast so be down soon,"
"Sure," I nodded. I cleaned myself up and decided to put on my normal moody outfit; black jeans, a plain grey shirt, my trusty jacket and sneakers. With my school bag slung on one shoulder and one helmet bike in another, I descended the stairs.
The sound of clinking metal against plates could be heard as I entered the kitchen and all heads turned towards me.
"Oh, honey! Take a seat," Jenny smiled and gestured towards the empty seat beside Mia and Leroy. I placed my bag and helmet down before staring at my plate. Two golden croissants layed there, hot and overfilled with chocolate. Were they for me?
"Yes they are so eat them up!" Jenny laughed. Did I say that aloud?
"Yes," everyone at the table chorused and my cheeks turned a shade darker.
"Thank you," I murmured and reached out for one. I brought the hot croissant to my lips and bit into it.A loud moan erupted from me before I could stop it. One second everyone went silent and the other second everyone was roaring in laughter. My whole face went on fire. Seriously, what the hell was wrong with me?
"Oh my god, I swear you looked like you were having an orgas-" Blake slapped a hand over Leroy's mouth. If it was even possible, my face turned redder.
"Seriously Leroy?" Blake rolled his eyes and I couldn't help but say, "Keep rolling your eyes and you'll find your brain in there one day."
Fits of laughter sprung again and I joined in. When we had all calmed down, my gaze drifted and met Blake's surprised expression. What? It's not like I never joked around...didn't I?
"Okay kiddos, it's time for school," Blake's dad, David, stood up. Everyone nodded and headed for the front door. I took Mia's hand and lead her to the bike.
"Bye, Tony!" She waved enthusaistically.
"See you later, Mia," Tony called back. I smiled and lifted her on the bike. She strapped on her pink helmet as I climbed up. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Leroy, Chris, Blake and Tony enter a BMW while Michael and Sheldon climbed up on identical pairs of motorcycles.
I drove out of the yard first- full speed as usual. Swerving all the vehicles, I finally stopped in front of Mia's school. She dropped down the bike and hugged me.
"Bye-bye, Pig!" She hugged me.
"See ya, Mia and don't forget if anyone tries to hurt or touch you, I'll be there to kick their butt," I winked. She giggled and nodded.
"Love you, Pig!" She waved.
"Me too," I waved back before driving off. I glanced at one of the side mirrors and to my immense shock I saw Michael and Sheldon riding a few meters behind me. What. The. Hell. Were they following me? Like actually following me around like I was some kind of kid about to run off? I was so angry that my ears became bright red. Okay, they asked for it.
Without a second thought I pressed on the accelerator and my bike shot forward. I leaned forward and drove through the traffic. I glanced once again at the side mirrors and they were no where in sight. Ha. In your face losers. Just to make sure I shook them off, I drove twice around my school before actually parking a few blocks away. I took a deep breath before putting on my hood and walking to school. I am definitely not going to cross paths with one of the boys. I was already really mad at Michael and Sheldon for following me. I mean what is their problem? That's not acceptable. I had a life! I think.
Shaking my head, I opened my locker and thrust in most of the stuff I didn't need. Slamming it back shut I whirled around and went smack into someone's chest. WHY does it always happen to me? All the person's books crashed to the floor. I picked them all up and handed it to him.
"I'm sorry," I muttered.
"Nah, I wasn't looking," he smiled and took the books. He had bright brown eyes, dirty blonde hair and cute nerdy glasses- although he looked anything except nerdy. I nodded politely and headed to my maths class. To my great surprise he trailed right behind me.
"Are you following me?" I frowned.
"What if I was?" He winked before shaking his head, "I'm just messing with you, my class is in the same direction as yours I guess and plus; following you would be too creepy."
"You have no idea," I nodded in agreement. We both stopped in front of the same door.
"You have math?" He asked in surprise.
"Yeah, I didn't know you took this class," I shrugged.
"To be honest, me neither," he grinned and he swung the door open. Oh great. I forgot Blake took the same Math class as me too. I internally groaned but forced myself to ignore him and just walk to my normal seat- at the back of the class. To add to the list of surprises for today, the nice brown-eyed guy sat next to me.
"So, if you don't mind me asking, what's your name?" I asked.
"Brian, Brian Hayes," he smiled and stuck out his hand. I shook it. I recognized his name, he was in the football team, not quite popular but still known.
"Good, now I won't have to say 'brown-eyed guy' everytime I see you," I nodded and he laughed.
"Yeah, so what's yours?"
"Hayley," I gave him a small smile and turned to look at the teacher who had just entered the class room but my eye caught Blake's. And boy, he looked furious.
