13 years later (present)

I stared at the ground, my face red from crying. I didn't know where I was, but I could really care less. Not only did I lose my surrogate father, but I was going to loose my surrogate mother as well. I couldn't lose both set of parents.

A branch cracked behind me, signaling that someone was there. However, I didn't move from my spot nor showed any sign that I heard it. "Rylan?" the person asked. "Are you all right?"

I didn't looked up, not caring about anything. I knew that Skylar had killed him, so it was basically my fault.

"Rylan?" the person asked again, kneeling down in front of me. The person lifted my chin, and I saw that it was Liam who had found me. His blue eyes were filled with concern.

"It's my fault," I whispered, tears streaming down my face. "All the death is all my fault. They are right. I did kill my parents."

Liam shook his head and hugged me. "No, you didn't kill anyone, and it is not your fault."

"Yes, it is," I replied, pushing away from him. I pulled my knees to my chest and held myself, looking at my knees. "It's all because I'm the fucking Red Wolf." My voice lowered at the end, because I didn't want anyone else to hear about me being the Red Wolf.

"Stop this, Rylan," Liam growled, causing me to look startled. "Do you know how many lives that you will be able to save because you are who you are?"

I glanced down, biting my lip. I still didn't really know much about being the Red Wolf. I just knew that Aednat was the one before me and had killed innocent people. A shiver of disgust went through me, because I didn't like that.

Liam sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Aednat was not the first Red Wolf," he said, finally, causing me to look up again. "My father said that Red Wolves would help packs out and try to stop battles. If something is wrong, then the Wolves would come to them, since they give good advice or because of their powers. He, also, said that there are those that want to take their over their powers so that is why the Moon Goddess had gifted them the six guards."

"But what about this group?"

"They want to use the powers of the Red Wolf for evil. I think it was them that had captured Aednat at a young age and forced her to kill. That is why there is a bad rep for the Red Wolves." He growled, his eyes flickering to those of his Wolf Form.

I sighed and moved a hand through my hair. "What if they turn me into some evil bitch?" I asked. I frowned, my brows creasing together. "I can't bare to kill anyone that is Innocent."

"You won't," Liam promised. He placed his hand into his pocket and took out a vial of what looked like blood. "I think your surrogate father knew that you were the Red Wolf." He handed me the vial. "This should fill the next one."

I nodded my head and took the vial. I could feel the affects of the spell and opened the container before drinking it. My body convulsed after I finished drinking it, causing the vial to drop from my hand and onto the ground. This caused the it to shatter.

Liam grabbed my body and gently laid me on the ground. He placed my head in his lap and waited for the shaking of my body stop, while I got used to the other person's blood in my system.

After a few minutes, I stopped shaking and felt drained. "Two more," I mumbled, making Liam nod his head. I stood, not caring about my shaking legs. "Come on, we need to get back and discuss what we want to do. They're going back to the GreenRock Pack." With that, I started to wobble back the way that I had came.

"We shouldn't help them," Luke said, glaring at me. "They had caused you so much pain, or have you forgotten?"

I blinked, keeping my face blank. I had not forgotten the pain that they had caused me or the fact that I had said that I wouldn't help them. However, that all changed when I figured out that the person that killed my parents and Alpha Cameron was the one that wanted to use me for evil. "I didn't," I said. "And I would say no, but you do have an alliance with them."

Luke growled. "Fuck the alliance," he said. He looked ready to shift and beat me up, but didn't when Addy placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "They have abused you, and I could really care less if they get tortured or killed."

I sighed and rubbed the bridge of my nose, a headache appearing out of nowhere. "I don't either, except for three people who I would give my own life to."

"Then why do you want to go?" Perry asked. There was a frown on his face as well as a look of hatred which was directed to the pack that had caused me many misfortunes.

I shrugged, still kind of surprised of the family that I had found. "No matter how much I hate it, it's still the right thing to do. I wouldn't be able to bare it if any innocent person gets killed."

"But it, also, means that you have to see Cooper," Bailey said.

I closed my eyes, and I couldn't help but remember his shocked eyes when I told him that Rhett would protect me over him. I winced slightly when I felt him start to fuck someone, but I made sure that I placed the wall around the area, relaxing when I didn't feel the pain anymore. "I know," I said. "I hate it, but I know that I'd have to see him sooner or later."

"What would happen if you start to cut?" Addy asked. She frowned, her brows creasing together. "I don't think I would be able to handle that."

I smirked. "My brother would soon kill me before I cut again," I replied. I nodded to Vulcan who was leaning against the wall, watching us. "I'm sure he wouldn't let that happen and apparate to wherever I was and take the knife from my hands."

Vulcan shrugged his shoulder, and I could tell that he was smirking. He still hadn't said a word to me, which kind of annoyed me to no end.

"But why would you want to help them out when they hadn't helped you out?" Alpha Carter asked. He had been silent through the whole thing, as if he was trying to put the two pieces together. He knew about my past and how they harmed me.

"It's the right thing to do," I replied. "And, the person that is probably going to be attacking them is the same one that had killed my parents." A small growl escaped through my clenched lips.

"Also, these Wolves are not as well prepared for a battle as we are," Liam said. He glanced at me. "No offence."

I shrugged my shoulder. "None taken," I replied. He was right. We weren't as prepared as they were. The first time that I had been through one of their trainings, I almost passed out and threw up. I would've passed out if I hadn't been used to the sort of hard trainings that my adopted father and Rhett made me do.

"Ya, that was fun watching you puke your guts out," Addy giggled. "I thought you seriously would have quit before you had finished the whole set."

I flicked her off. "Reece's don't give up nor do they give in. They fight to the end even if the odds are against them."

Beta Rodrick snorted. "You almost gave up," he said, glancing at my arms. Anger swirled through his eyes, and I knew that they weren't at me but at the pack.

I stared at him, my face void of any emotion. "And thank you for bringing that up."

"Easy there, Ry," Alpha Carter said, glancing at me before giving a look to his Beta and friend. "Now, why do you think that they're going to need help?"

"This male, Skylar, will kill anyone he wants to get what he wants," I replied. "Children will die if we don't step up."

"But why us and not someone else?"

"Revenge," Liam replied, having an eye on me. "And it's not us, it's Rylan. Even if we don't go, she will."

"By yourself?" Thaddie asked, shocked.

I shrugged. "If it has to be that way." I glanced at Alpha Carter. "And I will not be going by airplane but by bike."

"Not in the dark you are not," Alpha Carter said, instantly. He frowned. "Or will I have to command you to not to go?"

"Freaking thing doesn't work on her," Liam muttered, shooting me a nasty glare.

I smiled innocently at him. "What? Upset that you got bested by a girl," I teased, shaking my head. "You should've been paying attention."

"It was dark," Liam huffed. "But, you won't be going alone. I'll be coming with you, and I am sure that Vulcan will not let you go alone either."

We turned to look at Vulcan who nodded his head. There was this hard gleam in his eyes, and I knew that he wanted revenge on the pack that had hurt me.

"Well, you three aren't going alone," Thaddie said while Chris nodded his head in agreement. "We need our Salsa partner, so we can beat the Rodriguez family." He growled, causing me to snort.

"And, I'm going wherever my brother's are going," Bailey said. "And I want to see Gigi and your brother."

"And wherever Bailey is going I-"

"Ok, let's just get this over with and say that the whole group is going with you, Rylan," Perry said, interrupting Addy. He glanced at his father, who looked quite shocked as I was. "If that is alright with you, Dad."

Alpha Carter blinked and cleared his throat. "Well, that is fine as long as ten older people come with you all as well as Brick."

I nodded my head. "Well, I guess that is settled. We'll leave tomorrow morning, so we can have a night to relax and pack."Alpha Carter nodded his head. "You all are dismissed."

We bowed our heads and left. I went straight to my room and closed the door before locking it firmly behind me. I sighed and slid down the door before I was sitting on the floor. My head was on the door, and I couldn't believe that I would be going back to the place that had started it all.

All I hoped was that I was strong enough to do whatever I needed to get done.
