Hi everyone,
I'm making this update to just clear up a few misunderstandings.
I've noticed that some of you assume that I've given up on Damned which is not the case. As I posted in my previous update, I said that I have not given up on it. Rather, I am personally working on completing it entirely before I do any posting. And the reason being is that I do not like to be pressured into updating because the story and my work lacks the love I put into it. I know it sounds cheesy but I'm just not content when I don't put my heart and soul into my writing. This book means a lot to me and the last thing I want is to rush this and not give it my all.
When I wrote Fatal Alliances, not many of you know this- most don't- but the entire book was completed before I began posting.
Damned needs that commitment too. So yes, I've posted a new book but that does not mean I'm not working on Damned. I already wrote so many chapters and I have a few more to go. I don't know when I'll finish but I will eventually and let you all know. If you'd like to keep an update with me and my books we can add each other on twitter @ celinemahadeo I will gladly follow everyone back.
What I was very disappointed on was these comments I've received recently stating I am not committed, inconsistent, and even going as far as to threaten me to finish Damned? That's not okay. I mean, I understand you love the book a lot and I completely understand that it's frustrating to wait so long for updates but that's another reason I made the decision to finish it before posting as well so no one has to wait. But it's not okay to be mean.
Honestly, it's okay if you don't read my new book. Those of you who genuinely supported me and have, thank you so much. That honestly means the world to me and really does motivate and encourage me, to know that there are people who genuinely believe and have faith in me. I really wish I can buy you all a cake and hug each and everyone of you. At the end of the day, I love all my readers regardless. My new book also means a lot to me and I'm just glad I can share it with those who appreciate it.
I always tell others who ask me for advice with their books; don't write for anyone else. Write for yourself and write for the love of your characters. Write because you want to, because there's a passion burning within you. Write because you love to. When you do that, then share your story and you'll see the outcome.
Sincerely, Celine.
