"You can't just sit inside all day and stare at the blank tv screen." Myah nudged me as I ignored her.
"Nobody pays the fucking bills around here!" Rachel threw up her arms and walked into the kitchen, probably to start paying bills.
"My brothers an ass sweetie. We all get there at some point. But there are going to be plenty more wonderful asses five times better than Ryan." Dylan insisted, sitting on the floor below Myah and I.
I shrugged but didn't say anything. I know it was my fault that we broke up, but you can never look at someone the same way when you've seen them murder somebody.
"Okay that's it! We're going out to a bar tonight. To try and find you a guy."
I sighed. "No thanks guys."
"Hey she talks!" Austin smiled coming into the living room and sitting down next to me. "You should go Autie. You haven't left the apartment in two days."
"I don't feel like meeting some alcoholic in a bar guys. No matter how tempting that is I think I'll pass." I got up and went to my bedroom. Shutting the door I sat with my back to the wall listening to there whispers from outside.
"We can't just let her sit in the apartment all day." Myah complained.
"Then what do you suggest Myah? We can't dragged her out!" Dylan argued.
"Guys not to interrupt this but I just got a letter in the mail saying that if we don't pay our bills in the next week, we're going to be evicted from our apartment."
I sighed and rubbed my temples. This was not good. Now they're going to expect me to live in the same house as Ryan like he offered on the plane after Thanksgiving. I didn't want to be anywhere near him or any of the guys for that matter.
I heard a knock on my door. "Leave me alone Rachel." I yelled.
"Try again." I heard a deep voice say as Logan poked his head through my door. "Can i come in?"
I nodded. "Sure."
He sat down next to me and wrapped me in a hug. That's what I liked about Logan. He wasn't always the most sociable person but he was always there for you when you need him. Just like Ryan was..
"It's okay Autie.. I'm here for you."
I placed my head on his shoulder as tears slipped from my eyes. I sniffled. "I know I'm the one that broke up with him but for some reason it's still hard for me to let go."
"Then why did you?"
"What?" I asked, wiping the mascara off my cheeks.
"Why did you break up with him? Cause you obviously didn't want to."
"But that's the thing." I sighed sadly. "I did want to break up with him. I couldn't look at him the same way after seeing him kill that person."
Logan lifted my head so I looked him in the eyes. "You knew from the start that he killed people. Deep down you knew but you didn't leave him then."
"I guess I didn't stop and think about it. Seeing him kill someone and know he's killed someone before seems much more different now than it did when I first started dating him."
Logan looked sadly at me. "I'm really sorry smalls."
"Do you kill people?" I asked, tears forming in my eyes again at the thought of that.
"Nope. I normally just get the guys out of trouble. That's the only reason why I'm in the Mafia with them. Cause they need someone when they screw up."
I smiled and chuckled slightly. "I wish Ryan was there for your purpose to. It would be a lot easier to love him."
Logan shrugged. "Yeah but every girl likes the bad boy. I'm not bad. I'm like the parent figure in the group."
"The parent figure in seeming a lot hotter than the bad boy at the moment."
He wiggled his eyebrows. "Oh so I'm hot."
I pushed him lightly while laughing. "Shut up!"
"See! There's the smile." He stood up. "Well my mission is complete. Let's take everyone out to dinner."
I gave him a doubtful look. "Everyone?"
He shook his head. "Don't worry. Ryan's not invited."
~*~
Myah, Dean, Dylan, Miles, Andrew, Rachel, Austin, and Logan all sat in the booth with me. You should have seen the look on Ryan's face when Logan invited everyone but him. ~~~~ "Hey guys! Who's in the mood for food." They all smiled except for Ryan who just kept flipping through the channels on the tv; avoiding any and all contact with me. As far as I'm concerned he didn't even notice my existence in the room.
"There's not enough room in the car so Andrew you can drive Myah, Rachel, Dylan, Dean, and Miles to the restaurant while I can take Autie on my motorcycle." He wrapped an arm arm around me waist. When I look up surprisingly at him he winked. I picked up on his idea and smiled.
Ryan glared over at us. "What the fuck?" He muttered crossly.
"Oh hi Ryan." I smiled scooting closer to Logan.
Ryan got up from the couch and headed towards the stairs. As he past me he mumbled under his breath, "Slut."
Logan glared at him before smiling reassuringly at me. "Okay let's go." He said cheerfully. ~~~ Im not going to lie; what Ryan said to me back at the house hit me like a truck. But Logan made me feel better about it. As far as everyone tells me, the whole group (besides Ryan of course) has been nicer to me lately. Which bring me mixed feelings. Cause while I don't care that much for him anymore, its not like I want all his friends to turn against him.
The waitress came up to the booth and stood next to Austin who smirked at me. "Hi welcome to Hooters. Can I get you anything." The waitress asked enthusiastically. She has dyed blonde curly hair and a fake tan. Much like the rest of the waitresses who worked here.
"Yeah can I get some pasta?" Logan asked.
"Sure. And for you?" She said looking to me.
"The same thing please." I smiled.
Myah went next, ordering a salad for her and Dylan, while Andrew, Dean, Miles, and Austin all got cheese burgers. After taking everyone's orders, the blonde waitress walked away after placing a hand on Logan's shoulder. His eyes followed her as she walked away. Finally he turned around and looked at Austin. "Nice pick man."
"Yeah cause everyone enjoys a fake waitress's boobs popping out of her shirt." I rolled my eyes.
All the boys nodded and smiled at each other but soon stopped when their girlfriends smacked them upside the head. Logan and Austin kept smiling at the thought of the waitress though.
Logan place a hand on my leg and smiled at me. I smiled back glad that I still had all these wonderful friends. That's when I finally realized that I was going to be okay without Ryan.
