When I opened my eyes I was flying, which was my first indication that I'd been drugged.

I mean I can't fly.

Or that's what I thought when I through out my hand and made contact with someone's face.

"Shit!" Some screamed before I tilted sideways my eyes snapping open.

I immediately saw Blue's eyes and they were pissed, I mean if I wasn't dying he'd do that shit himself.

Then the draining feeling hit me and I relaxed involuntarily in his arms. "Why do I feel so awful?" I whined into his chest.

"That tends to happen to people who are about to die dipshit" he said suddenly flying faster.

"Oh. Yeah." Don't ask, don't ask. "I gotta ask" I started off looking up at him.

His eyes flickered to me before returning back to the sky we were cutting through. "What?" He asked as harshly as ever.

Starting to realize it's just his sucky personality.

"Why are you doing this? I'm one girl it honestly doesn't match up to giving away that serum" I said.

He ground his jaw, anger flashing in his eyes.

"Why do you think so little of your life? You're young and twenty, some day you'll have kids and live a full life, and it was my decision to grab you, and I slightly care what happens to you so I'm not letting you die, not now anyway" he said.

"Bullshit, give it up why don't you want me to die?" I asked him getting irritated.

He tensed up, "bullshit?"

"Bullshit"

"Bull ... Shit?"

"Bullshit" I said narrowing at him determined.

His lips twitched, "why do you think that's bullshit?" He asked completely amused.

"You want me to believe that the dick who dropped me from a building a week ago suddenly doesn't want me to die? When I know for a fact that you dream of killing me yourself! It's bullshit. So go on tell me, why the hell are you trying to save me" I asked him.

A genuine smile graced his face.

"You're smarter than I give you credit for" he says a smirk in place.

"So I've been up graded from the IQ of a piece of paper to a rock?" I asked sarcastically.

"Try from lent to paper" he replies back.

"Okay Mr. Hot Shit, tell me what the hell it is that you need from me, obviously my life now has some type of worth to you" I said rolling my eyes at him.

He was silent, I honestly didn't think he would answer, but he shocked me.

"I got my powers at a very young age, before my body even matured. That's really unusually, but anyway it happened. When your a super your body is more in tune with the world around you. You can feel everyone else's pain, their anxiousness, its not a fun experience, especially when you're so young and can't filter that shit. Everyone starts off good, you don't see babies bombing the White House, that evil shit comes from the world, life throws you some real shit that not everyone can handle the same. After watching a helpless woman get stabbed to death for fifty dollars so many times you start to wonder is it all worth it. Some think they need to save it all, save the humans from their selves, make sure a poor girl never gets hurt again, while others can't understand it. How can they save people from themselves? They realize there is no point, and they help them towards their ultimate destination- destruction" he said.

He's obviously seen some really fuck up shit if he was describing this all to me.

"You for some god forsaken reason make me want to save you. It's like you honed your conscious into mine, whenever you are in danger I have this undying need to make sure your annoying heart keeps beating. Yes I want to kill you and strangle your neck till blood rushes out of your pores but my body reacts to your danger, I need to protect you, it's programmed in. I'm not sure how you did it, because I've buried that instinct. I've learned to block out the pleas of help from others in town, but with you it's like a scream into my conscious that you need help" he said with a small frown on his face.

He obviously wasn't too happy about my intrusion, "but that's impossible, I didn't do anything to you, why are we so connected?" I asked confused.

He smirked at me, "usually happens between supers and their significant others. Usually they trust each other so much their bodies connect on a frequency. I didn't do it, therefore you must have" he says looking at me pointedly.

"Me?! No! It had to have been you, I didn't do anything" I remarked.

"Well considering I stomped on your throat and tried to suffocate you, I doubt I did anything" he said rolling his eyes at me.

"Well all I did was ... Hit .... A ... Wall- wait, you threatened me remember? You said run, then I ran into the wall. When you commanded and I did what you said that's probably when the connection happened" I said pointing at him.

"No. That's stupid, it started when you talked to me instead of running when you realized I was burning down a building. You and I slightly connected which led to all this. Again your fault" he said.

"Maybe if you weren't a fucking arsonist I wouldn't have started panic conversation and asked about your ugly ass cape" I sneered.

He glared down at me, "take it back" he demanded.

My lips twitched, "no you need to know. Your cape looks like a child's blanket" I said looking up at him.

He ground his jaw together and suddenly he dropped like a dead weight.

My eyes popped open, and my mouth dropped in a silent scream. We crashed through a building and he landed on the ground with a loud thud.

I gripped onto his shoulders in a death hold, he looked down at me a cocky expression stamp on his ugly ass face.

"Oh you bastard" I hissed at him my heart beating painfully in my chest.

"What did you say about my cape?" He asked looking at me mockingly.

"That's it's probably so big to make up for your small p-" he dropped me to the ground.

I had thrown up disgusting Mercury i think, and what does he do while I'm in my frail, sickly state? Drops me ass first to the ground.

Tears sprang to my eyes, my body literally spat at me.

"You mother-"

"Well aren't you two adorable" a raspy voice came out of no where. A man in a black hood and cloak stepped out of the shadows.

"Pick me up. Pick me up. Pick me up." I quickly spit out lifting my arms towards Blue Doom.

He immediately heaved me up and I leaned heavily against his side as he kept his eyes trained on the mysterious man.

"And I thought you had self image issues" I snorted looking at the man standing in front of us dressed head to toe in black.

"Katrina Justice, always a smart tongue" he said with slight amusement.

"Thanks, I sharpen it with knives" I sneered back.

Silence. Creepy.

"Give us the antidote" Blue Doom demanded. His voice strong and dark, clear homicidal tendencies in his tone.

"Tsk. I almost forgot ... She's dying" he snickered, looking directly at me, before a sudden onslaught of pain knocked me over.

I crumpled just barely hitting the ground before Blue caught me. I could breathe, I was gasping like a fish out of water, the world was getting dim, I was dying.

And he was killing me.

Blue Doom's large gold eyes hovered above me in fear. He grabbed the serum and chucked it over to the man who easily caught it.

"GIVE ME THE ANTIDOTE!" He screamed cradling my head with his hands.

The man laughed, "there is no antidote. The only one who can save her is you ... If your willing to give her that power".

Blue's eyes widened in shock, "No. I-I can't she'd either die or ... Or-"

"Become pure evil and completely lose her common sense? Yes. That's all true but, the one percent chance she's strong enough to hold out she would survive" the guy shrugged.

I was gasping for air, but none was filling my lungs.

Damn. This was it.

A tear rolled down my cheek.

"No. I-I won't" he said uneasily looking down at me.

"Then enjoy her funeral" the mysterious man said before disappearing into thin air.

Blue's eyes blazed with anger and hatred. I lifted my hand to his cheek, "you dumbass. I told you not to give him the serum" I struggled out.

He winced looking down at me sadly, "your fine, you'll be fine" he said trying to comfort me.

I smiled up at him, "I'll tell you what heaven looks like. I may even come haunt you for a few years, you never know" I said.

My body relaxed, my eyes slowly shut. The oxygen from my lungs stopped flowing.

My heart stop beating.

Blue's POV

Her heart stop beating.

I let out an animalistic sound between a growl and a groan of pain.

The one person I felt completely responsible for, I let her die.

I could have saved her, I could have connected our souls and given her some of my power, which would have immediately ridded her body of the poison.

But the negative side effects to what could happen would have been much worse.

That didn't stop the heart twisting pain.

I dropped to the ground and looked down at her, "No Katrina, come on baby" I said touching the side of her face.

No response.

I looked down at her gray and weak body, she wasn't moving and knowing she was dead burned me.

I screamed.

The sky above lite up with lightning as I roared into the sky, a promise for vengeance, a promise for death.

I brought my hands down with a powerful punch to the ground, leaving to indent into the cement ground.

Lightning came along with hit, lighting the whole wear house with electricity.

The bolts hit her directly in the check and checkered around me, but I didn't care, she was gone, she'd left me like I knew she would all along.

I slumped over her body, despair the only feeling in my body.

"It's me Katrina, Blake, you can't leave me" I begged but nothing.

She was gone.
