I shook violently against the chains that were holding me down.

I slumped forwards annoyed when nothing worked.

"Did you honestly think that would work?" Blue asked looking at me annoyed.

He'd been fucking meditating like a monk for the pass four hours while I'd been slowly but surely losing my mind.

Something bad was going to happen and I could just feel that it was going to happen more to me than to him.

I struggled again fruitlessly.

"Do you honestly think that meditating like Buddha is going to help us?" I growled at him.

"You're bleeding" he snapped his eyes springing open.

"Great! I've started my period too?!" I cried trying to look down at my pants.

Blue gave me a dead look, "No you dumb ass, the chains are scraping your skin off" he growled.

I looked at my wrist to see that I was in fact bleeding. I gaged at the mangled flesh.

"No, don't you-" I gagged again cutting him off.

I looked up at the ceiling trying not to look at my torn skin, "You just had to say something!" I cried trying to hold back another violent gag.

"Can you stop? Your noise is giving me a headache" he snapped.

I gagged again.

Suddenly a door was thrown open and ten men came stomping in, in the middle was the one and only Francisco.

Of course.

He walked forward a smug look on his ugly little face.

"Honestly?" I cried looking at Blue annoyed, "You let us get caught by this scrotum?" I glared at him.

"Should I have let your throat just be slashed?" he glared back at me.

"It would be better than being tortured to death, haven't you realized yet?! I'm too weak for that shit!" I growled.

"Nothings happening to you, all they are going to do is land a few punches to me and then threaten you for the vile" he rolled his eyes.

Francisco laughed heartedly, "That would be my plan, but since this isn't we'll be taking a different approach" Francisco laughed.

A large man walked up and stood to my side threateningly, "Where is the vile?" Francisco demanded looking at Blue.

Blue's faced him indifferently, "Up my-"

The large man to my side immediately landed a soul sucking punch to my cheek. I screamed in pain as my head snapped to the side and tears streamed down my face.

I couldn't even move as my head hung limply and blood rushed from the place he'd struck me.

I heard Blue scream some type of threat and growl, but everything was fuzzy, out of focus.

My head was gripped forwards and my eyes contacted with Francisco's.

"That looked like it hurt, Katrina" he sighed disappointedly. "Such a shame, your beauty was the only great thing about you" he cackled.

I looked up at him, completely out of it, "What?! What about my riveting personality?" I coughed out.

"I'm going to murder every single last one of you" Blue growled his eyes deathly trained on the blood rolling down my face.

I looked up at Francisco, "You're in trouble" I sang still sounding completely out of it.

He snapped his eyes to mine before backhanding the living shit out of me.

I heard the chains holding Blue creek under pressure.

I could feel my other cheek bleeding, "you hit like a bitch" I glared at him, trying to shake off the pain.

He bent down and smile in my face, "Whats next will definitely hurt like a bitch" he sneered before nodding down at the first guy who hit me.

He quickly started to unchain me, but I could barely move. It was like my brain was unhinged and I could barely function.

Blue roared in anger, "PUT HER THE FUCK DOWN!" he bellowed.

I looked up at him just as they pulled me out the door, the look on his face was pure panic and hatred, and it was at that moment I knew something bad was going to happen to me.

They continuously dragged me down hallway after hallway and finally into a small little room. They re-chained me into another chair.

"What the hell do you want?" I hissed at them.

Francisco chuckled like a little prick, "The Shadow is a little jealous hearted love, he needs you to get out of the way" he sighs a demon smile on his face.

"What do you want?" I cried still struggling to get out of the chains.

"Oh nothing, we are just going to eliminate you from the equation, The Shadow does not like the advantage that you have, he has to take you off the chess board" he shrugs.

I gave him a dead look, "Are you a walking metaphor? What the hell does that even mean?! I failed math, and I play checkers, so what the hell are you saying?" I yell at him.

He gives me a tight smile before pulling something into my view, it was a huge machine. It had about twenty needles attached at all different angles, and in the needles I could see some type of hard unmoving material.

"What is that?" I ask shakily.

He pulls it over to it covers my body, about 5 needles went into each arm, and leg, along with the few that were doted around my chest and torso.

Oh shit.

"Inside each needle is a hard substance of elements, every element to be exact. We don't know for sure which one will work, but we know one of them will" he shrugged.

Elements? What the- Titanium.

I shrugged harder, "I swear to God if you-"

"You'll what? Tell me I'm so interested as to what you think you are going to do to m-"

"I'm going to shove your face down a fucking garbage disposal then feed the mangled remains of your scared, shredded, ugly ass face to a fucking lion and eat popcorn as you are ripped to fucking shred, you demented little bastard!" I growled in anger.

Francisco stood shell shocked.

The other guy coughed awkwardly and took a small step away from me.

"Well... wasn't expecting that" he mummers before nodding at the guy who looks hesitant to come near me again. But he quickly starts the machine up, bring it to life.

"Please don't" I cried at the man who refused to make eye contact with me.

He never looked my way, just continued his task of probably severely injuring me.

"Let's go see how Blue is doing" Francisco said as he strutted out the door with me still straining painfully against the chains holding me down.

The machine twitched to life, bringing me to a terrible terrible conclusion.

Blue's POV

I couldn't snap the chain, it contained enough titanium that was enough to hold me down, making me weaker. It burned my skin, but I tried not to think of the searing pain as I struggled to get to Katrina.

I don't know where the took her but I knew whatever they were doing was not going to be good.

Francisco materialized from behind the corner, a smug look on his face.

He strutted up to me before giving me a sick smile.

"Where is she?" I grounded out in anger.

His smile grew, "Seems you've grown attached. Funny it must be something in the water with that girl" Francisco chuckled. "Me, You, and Him. It just doesn't make sense" he shrugged speaking to himself.

"What do you want?" I sneered.

He looked shocked and taken back, "Nothing actually, you see I'm just suppose to hold you here till its done" he said.

I looked at him, "Till whats done?" I asked.

He shook his head, "You hear soon enough, but right now I'm suppose to be laying some wisdom or some shit like that on you" he shrugged.

He pulled out a piece of paper and looked at it before starting to read, "You're getting in my way, blah blah blah, She's mine, blah blah blah, Hate to see a fellow villain be hurt in my process, blah blah blah, and don't worry I'll take good care of her" Francisco finished folding the paper back up.

I looked at him confused, "What does that-"

I was cut off by the painful, heart wrenching scream of Katrina's.

It echoed across the building, hell across the world. She was in true pain, the kind that can not only scars you but your soul.

My whole body shook at the sound, I felt sick to my stomach, before the anger rushed over.

I could feel her panic and fear inside me as though it was my own. She was terrified and I could taste it in the air, in me.

She needed me, my whole body was ringing, humming with her essence. She needed me.

She needs me.

I turned towards a smug looking Francisco, "God that sounded like it hurt" he smirked.

My eyes we're flashing, everything was starting to look like the inside of power lines. I was loosing control.

It took a lot to stay in control, especially when I could easily electrocute anyone in a 10 mile radius and obliterate them to ash.

I clamped my eyes tight trying to hold back the explosive power that was pushing my boundaries, pushing through my skin and demanding to be released.

Demanding to kill.

I choked it down and continued trying to calm myself, before I heard extra foot steps.

My eyes snapped open and I saw the man who had punched Katrina. In his hands laid an unconscious and bleeding girl.

She was drenched in sweat, practically soaked with blood, she hung limply almost as if she wasn't alive.

My eyes reached her face and I realized I was looking at Katrina. My Katrina. My dead Katrina. He through her body to the ground and she didn't even twitch.

I lost it, I lost the thread I had on the monster that lived inside of my skin. I was out of control.

I screamed just as power poured out of every cell and pore in my body.

It struck the man first and before I knew it my chains were broken and my hand was clenched around Francisco's neck.

His eyes were wide with fear, I was inhuman and I know I looked it, the beast the demon that lived inside had broken free and he wanted to taste blood.

And so did I.

"She can be fixed!" Francisco coughed out. I paused in my trail to snap his neck. "The Knot will know how to fix her, just please don-"

I snapped his neck before he even finished the word.

I immediately dropped his body to the ground and stormed over to Katrina.

I bent down to grab her body, when a searing blistering pain rolled over my hand.

I nearly fell to the ground, I looked at her closely as I reached for her again, but stopped an inch away.

From the distance I could feel my power drain and I wasn't even touching her. They had done something to her, they had injected her with titanium, not a strong dose, but enough that being close to her hurt.

My eyes widened, he had taken her from me.

I grounded my jaw in anger and resolve before picking her up and lifting her to my chest.

It burned, and I could feel the power leaving my body.

I let the power drown out of me and push me to become stronger, almost inhuman.

I launched us off the floor and sent us sailing into the sky, trying desperately to ignore that pressing mental and physical pain on my body.

I had lost her. She was gone.

Katrina's POV

Waking up hurt.

Not just any pain, but I mean in my bones pain, and not a dull ache, but a stinging feverish pain that made me want to scream.

I rolled over and realized I was in my own bed. Like my real own bed, like the one I was stolen from about 3 weeks ago.

The bed I should have slept in the night Blue Doom kidnapped me.

My apartment bed.

I sat up quickly and immediately regretted it.

I looked at my side table to find three pills and a cup of water.

I dry swallowed the three pills quickly and gulped the water down, nearly dying when the burning sensation hit my chest.

I coughed and wheezed, "Not water" I coughed to myself.

"Vodka" a deep voice answered through the dark shadows of my room.

I looked up immediately recognizing Blue's suit, he stayed far away from me not making a move to get closer.

"What happened?" I asked looking at him strangely, something was off.

Usually I could feel him, where ever he was, but now I felt ... nothing. It was eery. He didn't answer just looked away, "Blue?" I asked him, he didn't move. "Blake?" I asked in a nervous voice.

"Don't" he barked out harshly.

It was like a slap to the face, it wasn't his usually mean behavior, this was pain filled anger directed at me.

"Blake, what happened?" I asked him.

He looked so tortured, "I couldn't save you" he snaps.

"You did save me" I correct him confused.

"It's too late, and maybe its for the best. I can't find the Knot, and Katrina ... I'm putting you in danger. It's not worth it" he sighed gripping his head.

"I can't help if I don't know what happened!"

"What do you last remember?"

"They took me out the room with you, chained me to a chair and then ... there was a machine, they-" my breath stopped, my chest tightened in fear.

"No, no, no- they. It coul-"

"They did, ... I have to go Katrina" Blake said heading towards the window.

I quickly jumped out of bed and reached for him, "Blake, no- we can- I can fix this. I mean .. you can't just go! You can't just leave me!" I panicked.

He was frozen as my hand clamped down on his.

Tears were starting to cloud my vision, this wasn't right. He couldn't just cut me off- leave me here. We were a team, a dysfunctional team, but a team.

It was like a stomp to the chest that he was leaving.

"Katrina. You're hurting me" he hissed harsly.

I looked down at my hand on his to see that his flesh was slightly burning to my touch, I quickly released him.

He pushed the window up and was half out, before pausing.

"Blake" I begged.

"Just don't- don't be stupid, Katrina" he muttered before he flew off into the night.

I collapsed to my knees in shock, he was gone like he was never here.

Tears streamed down my face in numb shock as I lay on my floor staring at the window he'd come from.

My mind could wrap around it, how he could just leave. How he had just left me.

Because damnit, I cared.

And he was gone.
