Katrina's POV

My neck hurt, and I was cold. Not a great combination when you are coming too.

Actually, everything hurt now that I thought of it. God, what did Blue do to me this time? My mind tried to reach back, I did jump off the side of a ledge to get away from that psycho.

And that man did grab me.

And we played Phil of the Future, can check that off my list of shit I will never do again.

We got back.

It was my parents, but it was really just a set up, or someone set them up. But really we were set up, .. possibly, hopefully, maybe.

... Tyler had ... a bazooka ... it hit Blue and Klaus ... I saw the Shadow- my eyes popped open in fear as I remembered everything that happened to me.

I struggled to stand, but was met with the worst sight ever.

I was on a fucking beam, that was suspended in the air. It was connected to an unfinished building that was obviously in the middle of construction. I looked down and nearly through up from fear. There 30 stories down was a dark river, I could see the strong current, rocks, and my death from up here.

I whined, when I realized I was barefoot in the same ripped skimpy dress that Blue had put me in hours earlier.

Oh my God.

"Good morning, beautiful" a dark raspy voice caught my attention. I looked up and was met with the dark cloaked figure of the Shadow.

Can someone, I mean anyone just cut me a break?

I struggled in the seat, but I was chained to the damn thing.

"I wouldn't move too much, its a pretty nasty fall from up here" the Shadow said. He sounded so calm, like he was talking to me about something he'd seen on TV the other day.

Not my life that was dangling from a beam.

"GET ME DOWN!" I screeched at him.

He just stood there and watched me, I let my head drop in despair, "He's going to kill you, you know? And usually I like to be the buffer, stop the decapitation and shit, but this time, I'm actually going to let him shove his foot up your ass" I said into my chest.

He didn't answer.

The more I thought of it the harder I wanted to laugh. So there I was my hair hanging in my face, covering my view from the Shadow, tears in my eyes from trying not to laugh.

I was dying trying to swallow it.

I looked up, a small smile on my face, "What the fuck are you trying to accomplish? What do you think he's going to do? He's a villain, he tend to snap necks and break backs first, then pretend like theres no questions later" I smirked.

The Shadow nodded slightly, in agreement, "True. My goal was to bring him out. Break him. I want you to see him-".

My face dropped, "please, tell me that you did not. Did. Not. Please tell me that this isn't your great plan. That all you want to do is snap his thin, string thin, control".

"You love him don't you? You don't care who he is, right? He is your and you are his, nothing else matters. He is a villain and you are willing to look past it, correct?" he stood deadly still.

I looked at him, "Yes, I know what and who he is. If you think that you cracking him is going to do something crazy, let me tell you I've seen him do it. All it does is turn him from a dick to a psychotic dick" I shrug.

"You say that now, but Katrina, he is a mindless monster, who likes the taste of destruction. You say you know that, you say that you've accepted that, but can you accept the truth? Can you except how deep his beastly soul is? Can you really wake up next to a monster everyday? Can you love this monster, because that is what is, Katrina, he is a monster. He always has been and even though you throw love at that beast, he will still be a beast. It won't change him but it will destroy you. I know what he is, and now you will too" he finished.

I frowned in confusion.

Show me?

I felt it before anything. The air turned ... on. Electricity rushed through the air, around me. I felt it pricking my skin, it wasn't painful or hurtful, but relaxing. It made something in me know I was going to be safe.

I could feel it rushing over my skin, it was touching me, making sure everything on me was okay. It was looking for injuries.

I winced as it passed over my head, where I must have injured myself. It stung, but then I felt the pain slowly fade away.

The Shadow watched me hard.

There was a flash of lightning, and what I saw had my jaw drop. The lightning stuck the beam a few feet in front of me, and there he was Blue.

He didn't fly, but almost like he road the lightning, or he was the lightning.

He was different than before, he looked bigger, wider, larger, and stronger. He was also taller, he looked completely transformed.

His eyes looked at me, and it was insane. I was looking at the true and real King of Power. I kept his gaze though, I couldn't look away.

I could tell he was wondering if the power rushing over me was scaring me, but it didn't. The things he did, now that could be classified as scary, but him. He didn't scare me.

He made me feel safe.

It was there looking at him, that I knew, we were just meant.

Not meant to be, but meant together, like odd shaped puzzle pieces, that despite all odds, we worked.

He smirked at me, "Why do you look so good tied up?" he asked.

I bit my lip to stop the face splitting smile that was dying to cross my face, as I leaned back finally relaxed in the chair, "Just kick his ass, please, I'm starving" I finished.

He chuckled heartedly, before turning towards the Shadow who had stood there just silent watching us.

What made me nervous about Blue like this was he felt and did everything so much harder than he did when he could control it.

Like now, he was grateful and happy to see me, so he showed all of that emotion, but his anger would be twice as strong when it came. He wouldn't hide his emotions like he use to, this was a free man in front of me, and the shit that he was probably going to end up putting me through was not going to be good for my mental health.

"Blue-" lightning came out of no where and struck the shit out of the Shadow, he went flying back a good twenty feet, landing hard on his back.

"OOOOOOH BET THAT HURT YOU LITTLE BITCH!" I screamed from behind Blue.

The Shadow chuckled as he slowly made his way back to his feet, "I would fight you, Blue Doom, but I have lessons to teach, places to be. You know" the Shadow rasped. "So let's get down to business immediately, yes?" he finished before shooting out one of his black tendrils, that did two things.

It dropped a sheet. A sheet that happened to be covering a large school bus that was filled with unconscious children.

The bus was right on the edge of one of the beams that was hanging dangerously over the water.

It also showed us, that the chains I had seen before hand weren't just keeping me held down, but were connected to the bus. Like a string.

My eyes followed the kids, then the chain on the bus that was connected to the chains that were holding me down.

"What. The. Shit. Is. This." I hissed at him.

He chuckled at me, "A lesson. You can't love a monster, without knowing what he'd do first" the Shadow replied back to me. Blue's eyes merely cocked his head in confusion at the Shadow. "Pick. Blue Doom, pick who lives, these 50 children, or the woman you claim to love. Pick. Whoever you pick, lives, the other takes a swim. Your decision" the Shadow said.

Blue laughed heartedly, "Well if this isn't some shit" he chuckled like this was the funniest thing he'd ever seen.

However, I went dead silent as fear used through me.

He wouldn't.

But he wasn't himself.

Shit, but he still couldn't, weather a hero or a villain, he just couldn't.

The Shadow's tendrils fused with the chain, "Make a move towards me and I'll push both over, lets see if you can save them both. But now you have a choice, who will you let drop? Her or them?"

"ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY?!" I bellowed from my spot.

I was ignored.

"Kat or the snot nosed kids? Hmm .. what ever will I do?" Blue mocked as he crossed his legs and pretended to be in deep thought. "How about .. neither?" he stated.

Cue the jaw drop from everyone still awake.

Even the Shadow's jaw dropped, at least if I could see his face, I would guess it was.

"Neither?" he asked Blue.

Oh my God. He broke the crazy son of a bitch, now we were all about to die.

"Yeah .. I was thinking, maybe save Katrina, but she's pretty fucking annoying, and listening to her scream as she falls ... ahhh its orgasmic. Then the little kids ... well that would just be pretty fucking funny wouldn't you say?" Blue asked with enthusiasm.

There was silence as we all just took in what he just said.

"WELL THIS FUCKING BACKFIRED!" I hollered at the Shadow, who had to have been absolutely stunned.

"B-but you ... you love her!" the Shadow yelled pointing at me.

Blue smiled bright, "I do, but don't tell her that, we are kind of in this competition to see who says it first, so don't tell her" he cackled.

"I'll kill her!" the Shadow yelled at Blue, like he was stupid.

Blue shrugged, "Like I said man she's pretty fucking annoying, so go ahead, her scream is hilarious to listen to, go ahead".

"BLUE!" I yelled his name.

He turned and blinked at me, "Yes Katty?" he asked, my name rolling of his tongue, his accent coming out.

"Could you maybe not tell him to kill me, or the little kids over there either. I'd really fucking appreciate it" I hissed at him.

His bright eyes cut through me like knives, but I refused to back down, "Can't you see I'm having a conversation here? It's really rude that you interrupted us" he looked at me.

I blinked at him, before looking past him to the Shadow, "Are you happy now, you broke him" I yelled at him.

"You're lying" the Shadow started, "if you don't care then, I'll drop them both" he stated, grasping at straws to try to gain control of the situation.

Little did he know, he was playing a much more advanced and psychotic game, than he could even imagine.

Blue shrugged.

"I'LL DO IT!" the Shadow screeched.

Blue pretended to look at his watch.

The Shadow snapped pushed the chain. It snapped whipping , the bus and my chair harshly through the air.

I was air borne, before I felt that undeniable pull from gravity.

I couldn't even scream, the air was rushing so fast, around me. I saw lightning fly through the air before the Shadow's body went flying miles away into the river.

I saw the school bus land hard on the river bank, a sigh left my lips.

He was exactly who I knew he was.

I closed my eyes, and hit the water.
