Before there was man and woman there was Power. Power came in all different forms and as He created this Power something magical came to mind. Beautiful and raw. Strong and Strange. He saw it and He brought it to life.

Souls as pure as gold. Power as strong as steel. Women with the beauty that only His elements could possess. Dangerous but gorgeous.

They controlled Power.

They were Sources.

KATYA'S POV

"My love, please, you're going to kill the man", I sighed as I watched him twist the man's hand in an unnatural angle, making him scream in out in more pain.

"Did you not see what he did to me!" he barked back at me, keeping his eyes burning at the poor man who was sobbing on his knees in pain.

I rolled my eyes as I kicked the long skirt that covered my body in annoyance. Such a violent one.

"You can buy new shoes. Plus, he barely stepped on them" I quipped as I shielded my eyes from the dust that was kicking up in the wind.

A storm was coming.

My storm was coming.

"Blesk, love, we are going to be late. You know Rick Danvers will close his store any minuet now. Please, we have to get back quickly" I played at his heart strings.

He would sprint across the world to get home to our children, if need be. Nothing came before them in his mind.

He sighed annoyed as he dropped the poor man's hand, "leave. And never let me see your face again" he growled warningly as the poor man cried racing to his horse.

He practically dove on his back before taking off into a full gallop.

I pursed my lips as I turned back to Blesk. "Blesk ..." I started.

He glared at me, his bright glowing white eyes conveying his unhappiness clearly. "Katya. I regret nothing" he stated strongly before leaning down, snatching my hand and proceeding to yank my body through the dusty dirt, into the small town of Clanesville.

I tried to keep my temper with him, daring to try to ignore the sparks that licked up my hand from his contact.

I just couldn't.

I sped up and brought his large muscled arm to my chest, as I leaned into his body warmth.

I love this man, with everything in me.

He looked at me from the corner of his eye, his stiff posture never relaxing as he continued to march us into town.

My eyes touched everything around me. These humans were doing so well with their innovations, their town was slowly but surely getting larger.

I could already see the large bright buildings they would soon make, that touched the skies. But for now, the buildings were made completely out of wood. Painted nice bright colors, each one different.

There was Doc Trent's Saloon on the end, which was placed closely to Betsy Dane's seamstress store, and many more.

And to think just a few thousand years ago, there was nothing here.

I smiled politely to the men and women we passed.

Many did not smile back.

Eventually the times will change, but for now my brown skin was not an appreciated site in this town. Few did not minded, however many did.

It was clear they did not understand what Blesk was doing with someone like me. A strong foreigner, allowing me on his arm was confusing for them.

However, Blesk's skin was of no consequence to me. It is how the lightning made him, therefore he was the very definition of beauty to me.

He did not look like these humans that had taken residence here, but his warrior body stopped them for asking any questions of his origin. That and his uncanny ability to show complete disrespect to anyone who dare spoke to him or I.

His long dark hair, which was constantly in a tight knot on his head, was unbelievably silky. His skin however is what caused pause when ever anyone saw him. It was a shade or two darker than a golden tan, his skin glowed from the power of skies.

His bright, nearly glowing golden white eyes, always seemed to make my heart beat erratically in my chest, and his large pump lips, which usually and currently where in a straight hard line allowing for the perfect glower, where beautiful.

He was beautiful.

He was perfect.

He turned to me quickly, "stay here. I will grab the medicine for the children. Do. Not. Move" he demanded of me harshly.

I dared not roll my eyes while he was right in front of me, "yes, my love. Any other demands?" I questioned playfully.

His left eye twitched, making a large smile break over my face.

He was so easily angered.

"Katya-"

"I promise to behave. I promise to stay right here" I stated quickly, calming his worries.

He was so protective, but then again, he was my warrior. His sole purpose in his existence was to follow me around this earth and protect my being, no matter the cost to his own life.

However, we had broken a cardinal rule, while we had roamed this earth for thousands of years together.

We had fallen in love.

The only rule we had been given.

And we furthered our crime by creating children together.

Two beautiful lights of this world, however, their powers were unimaginable in strength. They would be hunted and killed if ever discovered.

And Blesk would be tortured to death.

I consciousness slipped down my back. I pivoted quickly to find who was behind me and my stomach dropped.

"Terra?" I whispered as my eyes connected with my sister's. Another Source.

She was leaned weakly against one of the buildings in an alley way.

I rushed to her immediately, barely catching her as she nearly collapsed.

"What has happened? Terra? Sister?" I questioned her quickly as my eyes roamed her body.

She was bleeding heavily from her lower abdomen. She wasn't healing.

"Why aren't you healing? Terra? What hap-"

Her large green eyes looked at me with a sadness that I could feel within my own heart, "they killed him, Katya. They took him from me" she sobbed.

My heart stopped beating.

"Wh-what?" I questioned her.

"Torro. Th-they pulled his heart out of his chest. They've nearly killed everyone Katya" she sobbed harder.

She wasn't healing because they had killed her warrior. Her protector. She couldn't heal herself she was so distraught. They had killed her from the inside out.

She clutched my hand, "they are coming. They call themselves the Council. We created them and this is how they repay us, Katya. They claim we are false gods, and they will rid this world of us. Our own beauty" she cried harder.

I kept my hand pressed down on her wound, but I knew she had little time left.

We all did.

"That makes no sense, I-" she placed her hand on my forehead, pressing our link open again.

Screams of terror and pain filled my mind. I felt thousands of my sisters being brutally murdered. Some having their limbs pulled apart, others being set on fire. I felt it like it was my own body.

I gasped as tears rolled down my face uncontrolled.

Dead.

They were all dead.

They had murdered every other source.

I looked back down at Terra, "w-what is happening? I stopped being apart of the politics eons ago. Terra, what is-"

"Our own creations, coming to kill us. Run my sister. Take your warrior and run. Our time is ended" she whispered before her eyes shut finally.

I pressed my hands into my mouth to muffle the scream of pain. Her body disintegrated into dirt before the wind carried her off.

Gone.

I was the last one.

In my link there was complete silence.

A hand landed heavily on my shoulder, making my heart beat quickly. I turned to find Blesk, his face taunt with worry. "We need to get back. The children, we must take them and run" he hissed.

I stood quickly, he wrapped his arm around my waist and shot off into the sky. He flew over the small town, over the long grasslands, down the hills and valleys, before quickly landing not twenty feet from the home he had built me with his bare hands.

It was small, and the wood was aging, but it was ours.

The front door was pushed open as our eldest daughter look out at us. My chest un-tightened, only for my world to end in that second.

"Mama? Papa? What-" in those seconds as my daughter opened her mouth and spoke her last words, the house that contained the life Blesk and I had lived together erupted into flames.

Our two young children's bodies inside.

I stopped breathing, while Blesk sprinted towards the carnage.

The world went silent, as I felt the connection between my ultimate creations, my flesh and blood, my children, die. The line that held us together, broke.

They were dead.

I knew my body dropped to the ground, I couldn't see my husband pull their lifeless bodies out the fire. Or hear his sobs and bellows of heartbroken outrage.

I barely saw the twenty creations surround us.

A man stood in front of me, he was tall with long blond hair that touched his shoulders. His eyes were white and silver. My own creation. Cirron.

"You witch, for your transgressions against our kind, for your creation of abomination, you will-", he began.

"- what have you done?" I whispered to him. "My own child, killing my very own children. What have you done?" I whispered as the tears streamed endlessly down my face.

My chest ached.

Physically, I was broken. Mentally, I was broken.

He stood silently as he watched me. My home burning, a mere few feet behind me.

My warrior, the love of my life sobbing over the burned bodies of our children. I was to be sick. "What. Have. You. Done?"

His white eyes shone with no regard for the murders he had just committed. For the murders he had sanctioned.

"You believe you Sources are our makers? All powerful? Then why have I murdered all of them? All of you! You will die as well, Creator. We will never need you again, we are just as powerful, we have all the power. We can create as well" he growled at me.

I could not feel anymore.

What had I done? This is what I created. Cirron, was the cause of all of this? The reason for it all. "What have you done?" I sobbed silently as he stood over me.

"You will soon find out" he whispered down to me.

There was a roar. I turned to watch them grab Blesk, yanking him away from our children's bodies, "NOOOO" I begged them.

Two men had grabbed him by the arms, his eyes shone bright white as the power rolled through him.

Before he could release or fight back, a black blade was pushed through his chest into his heart.

His eyes dulled, as he turned to me.

My body lurched as though I, myself had been stabbed.

Blood pulled from the side of his lips, "I love ... you- Katya" he choked. They dropped his body and he landed face first into the ground.

Gone.

I cracked.

Watching the love of my life, dead, next to our charcoaled children.

They were dead.

I broke.

Shattered.

Air refused to come into my body as my throat closed.

Demolished

Splintered.

Destroyed.

Their lifeless bodies in the grass.

Gone.

I pressed back as the power rushed through my body, lightning struck over head, but I couldn't hear it.

My eyes burned with the Power.

And I let go.

---------------------

He watched as his Creator lashed out. Her power leaving many of his own kind dead on the ground, much like her family.

Her hair wild in the wind as she allowed lightning to strike from her eyes and the sky, killing multiple at a time.

He slipped behind her, wrapped his arm around her waist and slipped the blade from his hand, up into her heart.

Her body spasmed in his tight hold. He took a deep breath of her electrified scent. His Creator, his love.

The light in her eyes flickered, her sad eyes coming back into view as they stared back at him with so much pain. He felt that pain, it was his own.

He slowly placed his lips on her head, "I love you, Katya" he whispered into her skin, as he felt the power drain from her body.

His chest clenched, as he listened to her heartbeat slow.

"Forever" he finished, just as the last strike of lightning came from the sky claiming her from his grasp.

Unknown to his knowledge as the remaining few of his comrades came to him, he hadn't killed Katya. He had merely broken her will.

And this was no the end, but the very beginning.

And it was not over.

Not even slightly.
