One Week Later

Blue's POV

My eyes fluttered open as the light pissed in my face from the window.

I sighed as I turned and looked at the clock, 11:13 am.

My eyes rolled up to look at the ceiling, where annoyingly, Katrina had decided to paint five lines of the same color of beige brown.

'This way when you wake up and look at the ceiling, you can just decide which one looks the best' her annoying voice had mocked when I asked why she had stupidly done it on the ceiling of the room.

She nearly stabbed me with her paint brush when I off handedly stated that all five colors looked exactly the same.

The psycho had gone for my eye when I said that.

I turned my head slightly to look at her hair sticking up in every direction. Her face was shoved into the side of my body, where I could feel her drool on my shirt.

She had unceremoniously thrown her legs over mine, and her arms were wrapped around me in a vice like grip.

With what we had done last night, she wouldn't be getting out of bed for at least another two hours.

I smirked down at her beautiful profile.

Her lips slightly opened, her breathing deep and even, small little snores escaping from her body.

She was absolutely perfect.

Except for about three days ago when she had been released from the hospital and instead of taking her to her parents house, I had taken her home.

Our home.

Her eyes had narrowed in fake anger as she tried to yell at me for buying a house without letting her pick. She had complained something about being house hunters together.

She could be so difficult sometimes, it was insane.

After she had gotten over it, she realized that she was in love with this place. I had made sure to pick the perfect location.

It was only two blocks down from her University, and it would take me less than ten minuets to get to my company.

However, since she was so pissy about not getting to help me pick the house, she had decided that she was going to make every decision with me on the decorating.

And it was torturing my soul.

How someone so injured could still find time to hobble about and decorate while making me serious consider choking myself will never stop amazing me.

Yet, I couldn't find it in me to be completely annoyed by her.

Since that day where I thought she was truly gone from me, forever, I will never take another day with Katrina Justice for granted.

Never.

I slide out of her vice grip and stalked to the bathroom, quickly taking a shower and getting ready for the day.

Since my fucking building was somehow booked as the venue for an all out Super war, I couldn't even go to work. I was stuck getting calls and annoying bills for the damages that Lee had caused.

Nothing had made me smile harder than watching that little bitch cry as he was dragged into a high tech prison to hold Supers.

Lia was a different hand completely.

No one had been able to find the sly little bitch since the destruction had occurred.

There was no doubt she would rear her ugly ass face again to stir up shit, but for now she was probably in some dark corner licking her wounds and stabbing Katrina voodoo dolls with knives.

I stepped out the shower and quickly got dressed.

Katrina rolled over slightly, her hand reaching out for me in the bed. She peaked one eye open when she couldn't find me.

I looked at her sleep filled face, as she peered up at me.

"Why am I so sore?" she groaned into her pillow as her hair flew in every direction.

A dark smirk tilted on my lips, "probably had something to do with that position I had you in last night, you know the one where you leg was all the way behind-"

She quickly put her hand up stopping me, "shut up. Donuts. I need donuts" she cried as she rolled over in bed her eyes opening to look up at the ceiling.

I easily made my way over to her side of the bed and leaned over her face.

She didn't even move as she puckered her lips waiting for me to kiss her.

The smile on my face couldn't be denied as I leaned down and slammed my lips to hers, the sparks of electricity that raced through our bodies will never stop amazing me.

She was perfect.

I pulled away, "I want one with sprinkles, and-"

"Sprinkles, chocolate, cream, and one with bacon. Yes I remember your very detailed list" I cut her off.

She smirked, her eyes closing as the drowsiness settled over her again, "husband material, ladies and gentleman" she chuckled.

My heart squeezed nervously in my chest.

My mind immediately drifted to the small little box that I had hidden in my drawer, back at my lair.

"I'll be back. Try not to break anything while I am gone" I called over my shoulder as I walked out the room.

I heard her chuckled, "I resent that, you lamp post" she called back.

I smirked as I got to the door, "Bullet" her voice drifted out of the bedroom where she was no doubt turning over falling back asleep.

The smile that broke my lips was unbelievable.

"Bullets" I said back as I stepped out the door.

I quickly stepped onto the elevator and pressed the button taking me down to the main lobby. I easily made my way out the door and was walking down the street towards the donut shop down the block.

My phone buzzed in my pocket, I quickly pulled it out with a frown.

It was another call from Klaus, he'd been blowing me up since yesterday, but with Katrina barely able to move and the will of a tiger I couldn't keep my eyes off of her if she was going to survive till the end of the month.

My frowned deepened as I realized I had a shit ton of missed calls.

Sasha had called me ten times since two days ago.

Death Glare had called me five times, and Snake had bombarded me with text messages that all said 'Call me ASAP' over and over again.

I quickly stepped into the donut shop, and walked up to the counter.

The older man behind the counter easily recognized my face since I'd been here ten times in the last week.

"The regular, I assume?" he chuckled heavily as I nodded. "That girl of yours can really put them away. The last time she was in here she demanded that I give her testers" he laughed heartedly.

I swear she had no filter.

I laughed lightly with him, "she's special" I shrugged as he nodded laughing before grabbing the donuts and throwing them in a bag.

I quickly handed him a fifty, and told him to keep the change before walking out the shop.

I finally placed my phone to my ear to hear the voicemail that Klaus had left, "Blake, somethings wrong. I-I think they are here, I- I don't know what to d-" there was suddenly a large crash in the background making my brother silence immediately.

There was a clear sound of a struggled before the line went dead.

Oh fuck.

I looked up only to find a shadowy figure in a cloak standing ten feet in front of me.

Shit.

I turned my head sideways to find another figure dressed the same standing behind me, to my right and to my left.

I was completely surrounded.

Damnit.

Then he was there, he came breezing forward, his bleached white hair cropped to his shoulders just as it had been when I was a boy.

His creepy eyes washed over me, almost sizing me up like I was cattle.

The power rolled off of him in waves, making me tense.

This was not going to end well.

"Cirron, a pleasure. What are you and your disciples doing off your clouds?" I mocked them as he came to stand directly in front of me.

His lips turned up in a rueful smile, "Balder. I have heard that there has been some misconduct in our ways" he stated lightly, but I knew it was anything but.

My hands clenched, "you are a day late and a dollar short" I hissed back at him quietly. I knew they had full knowledge of what exactly Lee had been up to. How many of our own he had killed.

They had probably watched.

Keepers of our race, my ass. All they did was pretend to play God, when really they couldn't give two shits about us.

They only wanted our power.

His lips tilted in amusement, "where is your friend? The one with the beautifully curled hair" he asked lightly.

My chest tightened. To anyone else it would seem like a nice friend asking, but I had spent my days with this monster.

He was sniffing for a weakness.

It was a clear threat, nothing more nothing less.

"Friends? I have none. You made sure of that, didn't you" I answered calmly and emotionlessly.

If he even thought I gave a speck of shit about Katrina he would ensure her neck would be snapped in front of my eyes.

There was no bringing her back from him.

"What do you want?" I asked him dispassionately, bored. He needed to know he had no true effect on me.

His lips straightened as his eyes turned hard on me, "I think its time you came home for awhile. There have been certain reports of ... a woman. A strange woman with the ability to harness power, you wouldn't know anything about this would you?" he questioned.

"No. Nor do I give a fuck" I quickly answered him.

He stepped closer to my face, "she is claimed to be a Source, Balder. You know what a Source can do to us, they could destroy all of us. I am gathering the strongest in order to help us track her down and kill her" he stated simply.

I was going to be sick.

"Where does this involve me?" I asked annoyed and impatient.

"You will join me on my hunt to bring her down. Or ... you could rot in the cells with the rest of your comrades until you see fit to follow as our laws state" he growled.

Fuck.

"Comrades?"

"Yes. Your brothers, your friends, they all seemed to think they had a say in what happens to them, they were taken to the cells in order to reevaluate what they deem is important to them" he smirked at me.

Damnit all.

Of course.

"You can either come along now, or should I go find your little friend with the beautiful hair to ask her weather she thinks you should come with us or not?" he asked mockingly.

My eyes shut, out of options.

They probably already had someone outside our door waiting for the go ahead to grab Katrina.

"Lead the way" I answered gruffly as a slick smile slipped onto his face.

His white, silver eyes glistening in delight.

"Good choice, Blue Doom" then we were gone.
