"What do you want from me? Please... "

Angela had tried many times since she had arrived here to plead with Adamo and his men to let her go but she knew that it would be no use. She worried about what would be the outcome of all of this but worried more about her baby. Of course, this was something she had kept a secret from the men. She knew she was already a liability to Adriano, something he cared about that Adamo would use against him so the thought that she was carrying his baby would probably send the men into an even bigger state of joy that they had something else against him.

"It's not exactly what we want from you Angela, but what we want from Adriano." Adamo had walked into the room she was locked into in his family mansion. "You don't need to do anything." Adamo's voice was just above a whisper. It creeped around the room and made her shiver in disgust.

They were using her to get back at Adriano, but she knew next to nothing about any of their plans or the lies they were feeding Adriano. Despite the fact that Adamo and his men were oblivious to what was to come for them, the Moretti family had not attempted anything other like this on Adamo's family in a long time. There was still this anger and jealousy burning deep inside Adamo that would take years to get rid of. He wanted to stir things up with his old friend and see him react when he got the news about Angela.

He enjoyed when Adriano was at a disadvantage and also when the DeLucas, his brothers, his father, all his familia, won the battles. Adriano always had something over Adamo, that was how he felt. Angela was no exception to this. Although he wanted Angela, not only to get back at Adriano, Adamo do not want Angela as much as his new member-Allesandro. He would give the kid what he wanted after what he had done for Adamo. Since Allesandro worked for the Morretti family, when he returned to Adamo he had given him key information about a lot of things going on in the rival gang.

Adamo saw the look of both fear and disgust on Angela's face when he moved closer to her. She was trying badly to stop herself from shaking and keep calm but it was difficult. Angela was unsure about everything happening around her and had a feeling that this wasn't going to the end the same way it had the last time Adamo took her away.

"You think you know her Adriano?" Adamo spit the words out, getting complete satisfaction from Adriano's composure breaking more and more by the minute.

"Where the fuck is she Adamo? Don't play games with me..." Adriano's voice came out in a low growl.

He knew he should not have come here to the DeLuca mansion at the request of Adamo but decided to do it anyway. Now he was outnumbered and surrounded by Adamo's men, if he stepped out of line once, he was putting himself in a very dangerous position. But he would risk anything to have Angela back.

"She's with Allesandro now, I've already told you-"

"Bullshit." Adriano spat, nearing Adamo. "I know you're lying." He stood centimetres away from Adamo, his eyes burning into his old friend's.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that if I were you." A smile cracked onto Adamo's lips once he spoke and a silence hit the room.

Despite being the only two people in the room, Adriano knew there were guards outside but his hands itched at the thought of beating Adamo to a pulp right then. He turned away, unable to look at Adamo, it would only anger him more to see the other man's sheer enjoyment out of all of this. Adriano wouldn't believe him, he knew Angela, he knew she would not do that to him. But in the back of his mind, in some hidden pocket, a voice continued to whisper in his head, making him doubt everything. Adriano had learned the hard way that people could turn on you as quickly as they had insisted they cared for you but the thought that this might apply to Angela made his chest constrict.

"I must say Adriano," Adamo knew he was winning this discussion and was close to convincing Adriano that Angela was in fact associated with Adriano for the same reasons as Allesandro- as a rat. "She's a feisty one when she wants to be. I never knew she had it in her-"

Within a split second Adriano had lunged at Adamo. The two had fallen with a thud to the floor and Adriano had his hands wrapped fiercely around Adamo's neck.

"Tell me now! Tell me where she is!" Adriano shouted in a rage as he watched Adamo's face redden.

"Since the beginning Adriano, how does it feel to know that since the beginning she's always been lying to you? Allesandro was the one to pick her up the day they brought her to New York, think about everything since then and how she has deceived you!" Adamo spat his words out, causing Adriano to loosen his grip a little. Adamo's words were hitting him harder than he had expected but he couldn't doubt Angela, there was no way what he was saying was true? "She's been acting the whole time, I guess you were right not to tell her much, but don't worry I know enough..." Adriano let Adamo go abruptly once hearing the door being slammed open.

"Adriano was just going. Don't worry about me." Adamo looked over at the guards who only nodded silently and walked back out.

Adriano could not say a word, his memories were screaming from within causing him to fall silent. He got up from the ground, a crushed look on his face. He gulped as he put his back to Adamo and took in a deep breath, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"The only reason she stuck around that long was because she needed you to protect her from her deadbeat boyfriend."

"I know what you're trying to do Adamo, and it won't work."

Adriano tried to convince himself of the holes in Adamo's story. Angela being with Allesandro was something a little more than difficult to swallow but the gaps had begun to fill in his mind with stories that he may never know about. Maybe there were all of these reasons why things seemed to look unbelievable but were actually true? No, he demanded he would not listen to his overbearing thoughts, none of this is true.

"I'll see you at your birthday Adriano but for now, goodbye." Adamo flashed him a wide grin, not replying to Adriano's previous words.

A silk dress sat on Angela's bed that was the palest shade of lilac. It looked white in the beginning but there was a hint of the pale purple, a hue that caught the light and made the dress look even more beautiful. Angela blinked away tears that fizzled into her sight. She couldn't wear this tonight, she didn't want to go anywhere with Adamo or Allesandro or anyone else for that matter.

There was a short knock on her door before Allesandro stepped in and closed it. She sensed him extremely close to her but didn't move an inch. Seeing Allesandro again made her want to run away even more.

"Why haven't you put it on yet? We have to go soon." His voice was gentle but she knew it wouldn't stay like that for long.

"I don't want to go." Her voice was weak and she knew it but she had little energy left in her after the last couple of days.

She remembered the haunting things she had to endure, Allesandro's hot tempered shouting and Adamo's tormenting. She remembered the feel of a gun being pressed to her cheek as she was forced to make a call to her mother after arriving in New York, telling her everything was fine. Angela had to convince her mother she was okay and spontaneously booked a flight to visit her friend's back in New York. Angela remembered bursting into tears once she had hung up and how she had wondered would that be the last time she would talk to her mother.

And now tonight, she would be forced to endure Adriano's party on Allesandro's arm. Everything else had already been enough, she could not be sure her acting would be enough to please Adamo or Allesandro and feared what would happen if she did not play up to the part they wanted her to do. So many things flew threw her mind, clouding any rational thoughts.

"I'm not going." She said with force and finality in her tone. She saw Allesandro's shocked expression.

In one short moment, he had her pinned against the nearest wall. His eyes were frightening enough and caught her breath in her throat. She was unable to breath for a moment at the shock of what was happening. Allesandro stood tall and mighty with wickedness in his eyes.

"Yes. You. Are." He growled at her. Angela closed her eyes, unable to look a minute longer. "Look at me!" he snapped before grabbed her chin and forced her eyes to look into his.

"W-what?" she said, just above a whisper.

"We knew where you lived back in Miami and we know exactly where your family live- including that pretty little sister of yours." His fingertips caressed her chin and cheek softly as he spoke softly to her. Her eyes were wide, unable to comprehend his threat. No, she couldn't allow anything to happen to her family. "It would be a shame if anything were to happen to them wouldn't it Angel?" Allesandro taunted her and laughed at the sheer sight of her. "Wouldn't it?" he said through gritted teeth causing her to nod quickly in reply.

"Y-yes."

"So if you want them to be safe what are you doing to do for me Angel?"

"Go a-an-and get ready." She stuttered over her words. Allesandro's fingers had made their way from her cheek to her lips then. A smile crossed his face before he captured her lips with his for a long kiss.

"Good girl." He whispered in her ear and kissed her cheek before stepping away from her and leaving the room.

The door slammed shut, her cue to allow the tears to fall from her eyes. She cried and cried, her mind racing. Angela thought about many things: Adriano, her parents and sister, her baby growing inside of her, Miami, how she would ever be able to escape this situation before it was too late...

Angela had no other option but to get ready for Adriano's party. She wondered what tonight would bring for her and wasn't quite sure she would be able to get through it. Seeing Adriano would kill her, knowing she needed to pretend she was with Allesandro now. She had no other choices left, if her family were hurt, which was something Allesandro and Adamo were capable of, she would never forgive herself. She knew that to Adamo and his gang, his threat was something that could turn into a reality quicker than she thought.

She continued crying but felt nothing but numbness at the realisation that waiting around for Adriano to come and save her was ridiculous. Adamo had clearly gotten the upper hand in this matter and there was nothing more either Adriano or Angela could do except go along with his plans. She was torn apart but still managed to get ready, knowing deep inside that tonight would either bring her escape or further imprisonment.

Allesandro said quietly once they had gotten into the car and drove to Adriano's birthday.

"Just remember what we talked about in your room earlier Angel. Don't try any shit with me, I'm a very serious man. One look at Adriano and you'll be lucky to ever hear from your family again."
