It's been three days since Ariabelle was taken, I can't get ahold of Marco nor Gabriel. What the hell are they doing that they can't pick up their damn phones and call me back. Ariabelle's phone was the only thing you could tell that the house was lived in. I haven't been back there since. Killer is going on a rampage and Blade is trying to figure out where to go to get the riddle to find Aria and the club? Well they don't know what to do they're like chickens with their head cut off. I look at Aria's phone and think; maybe they aren't answering their phone because I'm calling from Aria's phone and they've been trying to give her space. So I try calling from my phone.
"Yeah?" Gabriel answers.
"Gabriel it's Mathis, you're not with your mother are you?"
"No I'm with Marco what's up? Ariabelle's been blowing up our phones, do you know why?" He questions.
"That's what I need to talk to you and Marco about. It hasn't been Aria who's been calling. I was the one calling from her phone." I explain to him.
"Why would you be calling from Aria's phone wouldn't she be the one calling?"
"Gabriel that what I've been calling about. Ariabelle been kidnapped again. So please would you and Marco come by the compound. We need your help, we don't know where to look." I practically beg.
"Yeah don't worry we're on our way and we won't tell my mom and Alanzo." Gabriel said then hung up.
Breathing a sigh of relief I collapse onto the couch in the common room, at the exact moment Killer and Blade comes out of the conference room with the VP who just got back from a private family situation. They see me on the couch and come right over. "You got something Grim?" Viper the VP asks.
"Yeah called Gabriel from my phone and explained to them what was going on. And they'll be right over and won't tell Estella or Alanzo."
"They say why they weren't picking up the phone when you called from Aria's cell?" Killer wondered.
"I think that after everything that's happened they were giving Aria some space. They knew she was calling but I guess they were torn whether to answer or not. That may have been why they were talking together when I called." I thought out loud.
They nodded and went back to what they were talking about, I know that I should probably be listening to whatever they're talking about being the sergeant in arms but I can't focus on anything but Aria. For some reason another memory pops into my head but this time it's of Aria and when she first heard the riddle. Her beautiful tan oval face with her bright brown eyes going dull. I'd pushed that memory back because at the time I didn't think it was important, but what if she knew where that riddle came from and who, but the main question would be why. Why send the riddle to Blade? Why start the riddles up when Aria arrived at the club? Why wouldn't Aria tell us anything? Dammit we need Marco and Gabe.
"What Grim?" Viper asked. I must have said dammit out loud.
"I was just thinking about the first riddle we got and when I told Aria." I told him.
"What about it?" Blade answered.
"It was her face and eyes when I finished repeating the riddle. It was like she had heard it before." I told him looking him straight in the eye.
"But how could that be the first time we heard the was that night. And there still the mystery of why the riddles started coming as soon as Aria was here." Killer explained.
Viper made a small coughing noise and we gave him our attention. "From what I've been told about Ariabelle is that she's good at hiding what she's feeling...maybe not when it comes to Blade but overall she's been taught to hide her emotion. I mean for god sake she's a mafia princess they would've taught her not to show her emotion. So she might have known about the riddles but not the riddles Blade got. She might have gotten the same but different riddles. And about when the riddles started when she came, it's about quite simple. The riddler was watching the club and recognized Ariabelle from somewhere."
I nodded my head because that makes sense. I get what he's saying about the same but different riddles, she might have gotten the same beginning of the riddle the tick tock but the meaning of the riddles would've been different for her than Blade. But these riddles were messaged to Blade, so why would Aria get the riddles. But unfortunately I won't have the answer to that question until Gabe and Marco arrive which hopefully would be soon. All of a sudden a prospect comes running in with Marco and Gabe behind him. Blade and Killer reach for their guns but stop when I get up.
"Hey Marco, Gabe. Thanks for coming. It means a lot especially from you Gabe I know it must be hard coming back here." I greet them.
"It's for Aria but keep the son of a bitch away from me." Gabe greets back glaring at Blade.
"Enough Gabe, so tell us what you know." Marco said calmly.
And from my experience when Aria is that calm it isn't good. So we sat them down and explained the last few day and what Viper had just thought about, when we were through Gabe looked pissed as hell and Marco well you couldn't tell what he was feeling. Gabe grabbed his phone and started calling people, I only heard the name Blake and knew he was taking to the head of the gang. Gabe was starting to make plans over the phone and then threw it at the wall hard enough that it broke. And when the phone slammed against the wall snapped Marco out of whatever was going through his head.
"Calm Gabe we'll find her." Marco stated.
"How we don't even know where the hell she is!" Gabe yelled.
"Yes we do." Marco pulled a memory card from his pocket and moved it around his fingers.
"Marco what is that?" I asked.
"Simple it's memory card that'll have Aria last known location or will know her exact location as soon as your computer guy hooks it up." He states calmly.
"What the hell you've got a tracker on my wife?" I question.
"It was her idea for just this reason." Marco states again as our computer guru grabs the memory card and sets to work.
I still couldn't wrap my head around what Marco had just said. Aria wanted the tracker for just this reason? I guess we were right in thinking that she had gotten a different but same riddle as Blade but why wouldn't she tell us or tell me or anyone. What must have happened must have been so horrible that she blocked it out until the riddles came. No wonder she didn't want to unravel the riddles. It must have been so hard on her to have to relive those memories while helping the father that abandoned her and her mom and brother. She must have known she would face her father when she found out what MC I'm apart of.
God I feel horrible. Whoever took her must have taken her before or why would she need a tracker. Why couldn't she just trust me? I look over at Blade and he's probably the reason why. Blade hurt her so bad that the only person Aria truly trust is Marco, that's why she told Marco what happened and asked for a tracker. Her family has let her down multiple times and now I too have let her down. I told Aria she could be safe with me, I knew I should have brought her with us. No matter what she said I knew it wasn't a safe time right now, why didn't I just throw her over my shoulder and bring her with us?
"Was Aria eve kidnapped?" Viper asked.
Gabe was shaking his head no when Marco said "yes."
Gabe was looking at Marco like he couldn't believe what he was hearing. To hear his little sister was taken and he didn't even know about it had to be a shock. Gabe shook his head and collapsed on the couch with his head in his hands. I could hear him talking to himself but couldn't make out what he was saying, feeling bad for the guy I went next to him and sat next to him.
"Aria told me that she started getting riddles, riddles that sounded like the ones Blade got, she was scared to be home alone so she started being at the hospital more."
When Marco went to let that sink in Gabriel lifted his head. "I remember that, I had thought something was different with Aria then. She seemed more jumpy and didn't want to be alone. I didn't know about the riddles she kept them to herself."
Marco nodded his head at that and continued with what he was telling us. "That was probably because she thought the riddles weren't meant for her but for Blade. Anyways Aria said that her mother was fed up with Aria being at the hospital twenty-four seven and told Aria 'that she was a big girl and could stay home by herself.'
This was six weeks after Blade had left, and Aria went straight home after school she said she noticed something strange and tried to call both Gabe and Estella when she noticed her phone was off. She checked the battery and that's when she saw that her battery wasn't in her phone. So she ran home and locked the doors and windows but she didn't check the house. Her kidnapper was already in the house waiting for her.
Aria was gone two days, how she managed to keep it from Estella I have no idea especially since the hospital she went to to get medical treatment was where your mother worked."
Marco let that sink in and Gabe asked another question that I bet we were all wondering. "Why didn't we noticed she was gone?"
"Aria said that at the time Estella was working double shifts to help with the bills and you were staying with the gang most night because you had some work to do. But how she managed to keep Estella from finding out I don't even know. When Aria was found she was dehydrated, not a lot to concern the doctors, but what did concern them was the hypothermia that was setting in. She was also found with a tape recorder."
"A tape recorder?" Blade asked for the first time since Marco started talking.
"Yes apparently Aria had found a tape recorder that still worked where she was held, so she turned it on and recorded her kidnapper's voice. Hence the tracker. It voice activated, when it hears that one voice it turns on and automatically starts tracking. Her kidnapper appeared to enjoy calling her Belle."
"I should have known something was up when she would get pisses whenever someone called her Belle. After Blade left she couldn't stand being called Belle but I guess after her kidnapper calling her Belle she hated being called by that nickname. I mean she would fly off the handles, throwing things, slamming doors or just not talk. Mom had had enough and took her to a child therapist but Aria wouldn't talk. So we started calling her Aria." Gabe said.
So much happened to her in her young life. And still she's a strong person, she hasn't let what happened to her pull her down. It might have taken her a long time but she pulled out of the trauma and took her life back. My brave strong beautiful wife. I don't blame myself for leaving her alone, I know she needed that no matter how many times I kick myself for doing that. No I blame the sick bastard who took her in the first place. What did he want so bad to hurt an eleven year old girl who had just lost her father.
Blade. Maybe he's the reason, it would be possible but who would want to hurt Blade's family. Not many people knows about his family and those who did he totally forgotten about them including Blade himself. Which still pisses me off, but who from Blade's past would want revenge that way? That's still the main question and until Tank access that memory card we're stuck here trying to help Blde figure out that answer. Which is a long shoot if you ask me. How is Blade supposed to remember an enemy he made that far back when he couldn't even remember his own damn daughter? It's a lost cause if you ask me, the only way we're going to find Aria is because of Aria. Because of her wanting that voice activated tracker.
Whenever we find that bastard he will pay for whatever he's done to Aria, he might not have hurt her when she was a child but that might change now. No telling what's he doing to her now. I won't stop until I put a bullet into the head of the mother fucker. If Blade doesn't get his shit together it's not only me he has to worry about, he'll have the strongest mafia family breathing down his back along with the Onyx Owls. Everyone loves Aria and I'm starting to believe I do as well. No matter how Ariabelle and I got started it's only the end game that counts and when I get her back you can be damn sure I'll treat her more like a badass queen. Because that's what she is to me my badass queen. And I will fix things between her and her mother without having to give her up.
I know that she wouldn't want to have a wedding without her mother, so until this is fixed and she's better wedding talks have come to an end. I make this vow to you Ariabelle wherever the hell you are that I'm coming to get you and you can be damn sure I ain't ever letting out of my sight again. I can't bear to go without you again and I promise no one will take you from me again.
