I had no idea that when Gio picked me up and started driving that he was going to be bringing me on a yacht.
"This isn't where you're gonna kill me then dump my body overboard at the bottom of the sea so that no one will find me is it?" I joked.
Gio had visibly tensed when I said that before he turned around looked at me weirdly.
"I'm kidding," I chuckled when I saw his expression. "Do you always take everything so seriously?"
"You have a weird sense of humor Lexi," Gio replied as he smiled slightly.
"Wow, this is really beautiful," I said as Gio led me inside his yacht.
"Thank you, I thought you might like it." Gio smiled.
"I do. It's really cool." I told him.
"So I had dinner prepared for us. I hope you like seafood or steak at least," Gio said as led her downstairs where what looked like a bedroom was, "If you're vegetarian though, I'm screwed."
"Well I'm vegetarian but the only seafood I eat is fish. However, I do love steak." I told him as he led me to a table that was set with different platters covered.
"Why is that?" Gio asked.
"Well, I'm allergic to any kinds of shellfish," I told him.
"Well, I guess we should get rid of this then," Gio said as he took one of the large platters which were covered with foil paper off the table and put it aside.
"So what allergic reactions do you have from eating shellfish?" Gio asked as we both sat down and started eating.
Dinner consisted of white wine, steak, roast potatoes, fish, rice, and salad.
"Well first I'd start having itches, then I'd break out in rash hives and swell up. Trust me it's terrible so I stay away from that stuff." I told him.
"Well, it's a good thing I thought of steak and fish as well." Gio smiled.
"Yeah, it is," I responded.
"So tell me something, I've been wanting to ask you this question earlier but it slipped me," Gio began, "You're not like dating anyone are you?"
"Giovanni," I started as I called him by his full first name. "Do you think I'd be here with you now if I was dating someone?"
"Well, you can never be sure. That never stopped anyone before, and you could have been in an open relationship." Gio added.
"Well no, I'm not exactly the open relationship type. And I'm not dating anyone, I haven't for a while now either." I told him.
"Really? Why is that?" Gio asked.
"Long story, just that the last guy I dated wasn't good for me, he wasn't who he said he was and ended up breaking my heart," I said to him.
It wasn't a lie, though it wasn't the complete truth. It wasn't like I could have said 'well my last boyfriend was involved in the mafia, he kidnapped and tried to kill me, he and his uncle, as a result, to get back at my father who was the Mafia boss at the time and I ended up killing them both. I didn't even really know him much either.
"How is your heart now?" Gio asked.
"It has finally healed, that was four years ago" I smiled.
"Wow, so you've been single for four years?"
"Yep," I nodded. "What about you?"
"What about me?" Gio asked back as he took a sip of his wine.
"You know what I'm talking about," I said to him. "Are you dating anyone?"
"Alexia. Do you think I'd be here with you now if I was dating someone?" He mimicked what I had said to him earlier.
"Touché." I chuckled before I also used his line from earlier. "Well, you can never be sure. That never stopped anyone before, and you could be in an open relationship."
"Well no I'm not dating anyone, I haven't for a while now either." Gio r smiled as he used my same line from earlier.
That caused me to laughed as it felt like a crazy game repeating what the other said.
"Double Touché." I laughed. "So why haven't you?"
"My last real girlfriend was in university, turns out she wasn't right for me. So afterward I kind of never dated exclusively anymore." Gio said.
"Zero exclusivity? Okay. Well, what about now? Would you start dating exclusively again?" I asked.
"Is this your way of asking me if I would date you now? Gio smirked with a raised brow.
"What? No! No, I wasn't asking that." I said quickly after I had realized what I had asked before.
"It's okay. You don't have to be embarrassed about it," Gio chuckled. "And to answer your question, yes I would date you- exclusively. That's one of the reasons I asked you out here tonight. I was hoping to see if you were suitable."
"It is?"
"Yes, it is," Gio replied as he stood up. "Now with all that said, would you like to have dessert?"
"I'm full," I replied.
"Well guess that'll have to stay until later then." Gio stretched his hand for me to take.
I took his hand as he helped me to stand up before he led us over to sit down on the sofa.
"You are so beautiful you know that?" Gio smiled at me.
"Thanks." I blushed and looked down.
"Why are you so shy all of a sudden?" Gio asked as he lifted my chin to looked at him.
"I'm not being shy."
"You are," Gio chuckled. "And you're blushing now."
"I am not!" I tried to deny it as I started to stand.
"Come on, don't." Gio stopped me by taking my hand and pulled me closer to him.
He then brought his head closer before pressing his lips to mine. He pulled back after about five seconds and smiled as he studied my face. I knew I was probably redder than a tomato due to the heat that had rushed to my face. So to distract him from my red face I pressed my lips back to his. I felt him smiled into the kiss as our lips moved together before he took full control of the kiss.
We were fully making out on the sofa. I was now laying down on my back with my arms around Gio's neck as he hovered over me. Gio held himself up on his elbow while the other hand was placed on the side of my neck. His hand started to roamed down my body until it settled on my leg. His hand kept rubbing my leg until it started moving up to my thigh. That was when I stopped him by grabbing his hand and interlaced my fingers through his. I had to stop him before he had discovered that I had a gun strapped to my thigh because that would be suspicious as hell.
Gio's lips moved from mine over to my jaw, then trailed over to the spot right below my ear where he left small kisses before going down my neck. I turned my head to the side and gave him more access as he kissed and sucked gently. I know that he had probably left a few more love bites there but his lips on my skin felt so good I couldn't stop him. Gio placed his hand on my waist which was exposed as my blouse had ridden up. He kissed my neck again before he returned to my lips. I rested one of my hands on his chest as I tried to loosen the top button on his shirt while my other arm remained around his neck. I felt Gio smiled on my lips as I managed to open a few buttons but that was when I was interrupted by his phone which started ringing.
"Again?" Gio groaned as he broke away from my lips and rested his forehead against mine for a second before he sat up, took his phone from his pocket then answered it.
"Lucas, this better be good." he growled into the phone.
After listening for a moment, Gio tensed before he replied.
"What!? I'll be right there," he said before he hung up.
"Is everything alright?" I asked him concerned.
"Yeah, it's just some issue at work. I'm sorry we have to end our date so abruptly but I kinda have to go attend to it." Gio said seriously.
"No that's okay if you're needed you should go, it's not a problem," I reassured him.
"Thanks so much for understanding. I'm really sorry." Gio said before he placed a quick kiss on my lips then stood up and took my hand.
"Come on, I have to drop you back."
