IMPORTANT A/N: I have a new book out!

Alessa's P.O.V

Where am I?

My mind felt so heavy, I felt so cold. I heard muffled noises echo through my mind, like a vacant space. I felt hollow, like an empty shell washed up on sand.

First, I felt a warmth tingling through my fingertips, a tightness of something clenching tightly onto it, almost desperately.

The noises slowly became clearer and more distinctive, a feminine voice and a male one, but they both sounded familiar, yet my mind drew a blank trying to recollect any thought.

It felt like I had a full case a pins and needles through my body, everything was returning to me gradually. My limbs still felt heavy and stiff, like they hadn't been used in days.

A low groan echoed loudly in my ears, followed by a quick and silent gasp from the occupant beside me. Soon realising it was me who groaned, my body attempting to wake itself up.

"Wake up Angelo, she's waking up," the feminine voice whispered beside me, her voice scratchy and raspy.

Angelo.... Angelo. Angelo!

My mind spun as a thousand memories and thoughts swarmed my mind. Familiar faces, moments and actions cramming into my mind like a film on repeat. A hurricane of emotions swept through me, hammering into my erratically beating heart. Yet names to images didn't click within my mind.

The final image that seemed to flash before my closed lids, a searing image crashed into my mind, a tidal wave of intense emotion.

His ragged face, dirtied and bloodied from the fight, a fight he won. Matted hair falling in front of fear stricken blue orbs, the seas of torment raging within. Moving lips without sound rapidly moving, but everything was mute. A familiar slender hand reaching up to cup his roughed face- MY hand. The silent whisper of what I thought to be my last words.

I love you... Angelo.

My eyelids slowly cracked open, light flooding my eyesight, almost burning and blinding me in the process.

Groaning again, my hands flew to my eyes, blocking out the excessive light from invading my mind again.

"Alessa?" A soft voice called, I wanted to open my eyes to see who called my voice in such tenderness.

A hand squeezed my hand, warmth seeping into my cold skin.

I felt my face scrunch up as I opened my eyes, a bright white ceiling being the first thing I saw.

Blinking rapidly, my eyes regained focus as they flickered around the room, scanning of what was a hospital room. The distinct smell of disinfectant attacking my nose.

"Alessa," the voice called, my head slowly turned to a blonde woman, large wide eyes staring at me. Her hair unruly and unkept, bags hung from her seemingly bright and tired eyes. Her pale lips held a smile as trails of hot tears leaked down her porcelain face.

My brows furrowed as I took in the male behind her, both familiar yet unfamiliar all at the same time. He too had rugged blonde hair, familiar warmth radiating from his brightened eyes.

My head turned in the opposite direction, from where I felt presence beside me. A heated stare from across the room.

My eyes clashed with two dark swirling orbs, trapping me in a enchanted hold. Dark eyelashes framed the hypnotic two, contrasting against his tanned skin and dark hair. His appearance was rugged, his chiseled jawline layered in thick subtle and was in need of a shave. A familiar scar streaked across his jaw, adding more familiarity to the face.

"Alessa," he spoke, his full lips drawing my attention as my name rolled effortlessly off his tongue, as if he had said my name before.

Why does everyone look familiar, especially him? And where's Angelo?

Cocking my head to the side, I inspected all three who hovered by my bedside, awaiting for words to spill of my mouth.

I pressed my lips together, preparing to speak, ask them who they were. But all that fell from my lips was a rasp of air.

"Get her some water, Alonso," the woman said, before quickly turning back to me, a smile almost splitting her face in hair.

Why was she so happy?

I watched Alonso walked to another table, his movements familiar, too familiar. The way his eyes watched me, the curl of his lips.

Alonso... Angelo...

As if my memory was sparked, everything flooded back, images of Alonso, his laugh and smile, his comfort and warmth. Angelo, the man I loved and lived for, his tight and warm embrace, his addictive lips and laugh.

My eyes widened on their own accord as I felt overwhelmed by the swarm of emotions that tore through my body. Tears brimmed at my eyes as my hands reached out for both, desperately beckoning them over like a lost child.

Angelo grabbed my hand first, I pulled him down, his face falling to my level as my hands roamed his face, entranced with every small feature of his face, memorising it. His familiar scent enveloping me, calming my mind.

My fingers ran through his thick hair before trailing down the side of his face, cupping his cheeks in my hand. His eyes bored into mine with such raw intensity, nothing was said, nothing needed to be said for those few short moments.

"I've missed you, mio amore,"he whispered, his lips pressing gently to my forehead, "so much, it hurts."

Tears freely fell from my eyes as I let out a strangled sob, hands stroking his face as I pecked his lips. Giving a small smile as I slowly pulled away.

Turning to Alonso, I saw him smile as he handed me my drink, slowly taking it from him, I placed the cool drink to my lips, letting the cool liquid slide down my throat.

I finished it within seconds, my hand quickly placing the cup down before grabbing Alonso's hand. Pulling him down he quickly enveloped me in an embrace, his arms gently cradling me against his chest.

"Good to see you finally awake, principessa," he murmured, his chin resting above my head, humming in contentment.

Giving a tight squeeze, I slowly pulled away. Suddenly wincing from a small jolt of pain in my shoulder. Turning I saw a large bandage wrapped around it. Sighing, I reluctantly recalled what that was, considering it was the reason it put me here.

Turning to the blonde, her lips were pressed in a thin like as she watched me intently as I watched her. My head cocking to the side for a brief moment.

"Alessa?" She whispered, her hands clutching mine to her chest, fresh new tears streaming down her face.

"You do remember me, don't you?" She tenderly whispered, barely audible for me to hear.

I stared at her for a moment, taking in the broken figure for a brief second. She looked so fragile, like she had been tormented in hell itself. Ready to snap in two at any moment.

My face quickly broke out of its own daze scepticism as it broke into a Cheshire grin.

"How could I forget my own sister, Ali," I replied, she quickly jumped up, a sob tearing from her lips as she embraced me in a sisterly hug. Her blonde curls almost suffocating me in the process.

"Alessa, Oh my God, you're OK," she repeated, like an old ancient chant to summon the gods themselves.

Chuckling lowly, I pulled away, looking upon all three. Grinning, I instinctively reached out for Angelo's hand, his quickly engulfing mine.

"How long was I down for?" I asked, my brows furrowing, recalling that I did not know the date of today.

"2 weeks," Angelo solemnly responded, his hand clenching over mine as his eyes shine with almost painful memory.

"Damn," I muttered, running my fingers through my hair slowly, careful not to irritate the wound on my shoulder.

"It's over now, right?" I pondered, my anxiety ready to soar, I never wanted to endure that pain of loss again.

"It's over," Alonso said, his figure leaning against Ali's seat, his eyes ever so often wandering over to her. Giving a small knowing smile, I turned back to Angelo, who watched me the exact same way.

"What?" I asked, my brow raising in silent question. Shaking his head, his simply kissed my knuckles, murmuring silent words.

"I love you."

Giving a large smile, I felt my heart soar, the intensity of raw passion and love I felt for Angelo was indescribable. All I knew was that Angelo had become my source of survival, he was addictive and I was the addicted.

Raising his hand to my lips, I gently pressed them against his hand. "I love you too, Mio amore," I whispered against his soft skin, "Io sono tuo, per sempre e sempre." I watched as his lips curled up into a smile, as love and admiration filled his eyes brightened eyes. My heart swelled as our words resounded in my heart and mind.

And I meant every. Last. Word. I am yours, forever and always, Angelo Dimitri.
