3 Months Later..
Alessa's P.O.V
"There's my favourite sister," called Christina, her arms spread open as she embraced me in a tight hug. Chuckling I embraced her small frame, hearing the echo of male baritones through the hall.
Pulling away, I watched Christina's face twist into exhaustion as two high pitched child voices bounced down the hallway, the sound of giggling and squealing gaining volume. Chuckling I saw the two kids round the corner, their signature blue eyes bright, almost glowing in the dimly lit room.
Kade and Lilly, Christina's children. Both adorably sweet, yet terribly exhausting. Both twins, but both complete opposites of one another, it's almost humorous to watch Lilly boss around Kade, demanding she be able to braid his hair. Kades trembling bottom lip as he grudgingly gets dragged away by his thirty second older sister. So stubborn at only the early age of 8. It's quite funny to watch though.
"I wished you hadn't asked me to bring them, they're so much to control," Christina exclaimed, watching tiredly as they began to run amongst the men's legs.
Letting out a chuckle, I rubbed her arm," Don't be silly, they're angels," I replied, sending a quick wink to the exasperated Christina before heading over to the men.
Upon hearing my clipped footsteps, Mikel and Josh both turned to me. Both already to ooze charisma into the large dinning room. The two familiar eyes shining with familiarity.
"Alessa, good to see you again," Josh said, his soft smile gracing his face before quickly becoming sidetracked by his two glee ridden children.
"You too Josh, good to see Kade and Lilly as well," I replied, watching his wandering eyes watch his children, both attempting to play tag around the table, Kade tripping over a table leg in the process, his small body hitting the floor with a soundless thud.
Laughing, I watched as he gingerly excused himself before hurriedly calling after Kade and Lilly.
"Alessa," Mikel called, smirking I glanced over at the youngest Dimitri, his smug persona fitted into a tailored navy suite.
"Mikel," I drawled, his smirk growing as I cocked my hip at him,"Still attempting the new school?" I asked, my accusing brow lifting in question.
Chuckling sheepishly, his hand ran through his tamed hair, his mind obnoxiously churning to find a suitable answer.
"You could say that," he murmured, shaking my head, turning my head to the side, I caught a glimpse of the Dimitri father. I watched as Rafa strode over quickly, a slender woman hooked to his arm, his dominating aura evident as he remained standing proud, even with the most delicate martini glass posed within the his usually harsher grasp.
"Alessa, my girl, how are you?" Rafa'S deep baritone voice resounded beside Mikel, his figure looming over us all.
"I'm great Rafa, but who-" I began to ask who the the woman was beside her before I was cut off by her sudden embrace.
"Oh it's wonderful to finally meet you, you truly exceed your described beauty," the woman exclaimed, her face Lit up like a child's as she examined me from head to toe. My words were torn away as my mind drew a blank, I watched as she woman squealed and gasped like a child as she rounded on me, her perfect lips forming unusual O shapes.
I smiled sheepishly before looking at a surprised Mikel, quickly catching my eye I motioned to the mysteriously ecstatic woman. Letting out a silent chuckle, he quickly interrupted the seemingly gleeful moment.
"Mum, you should really introduce yourself before you hug people like that without warning," Mikel said, his bemused expression matching his fathers as they both shook their heads in humour.
"Oh!" She said, releasing me momentarily, "I'm so sorry my dear, I was just so excited to see you I forgot my formalities," she rushed out, her hand gestures becoming wild as she explained herself.
"I am Eva, the boys mother," she said, her smile causing light wrinkles around her eyes.
"Oh!" I exclaimed, that makes more sense, I thought. I really should of made that connection sooner, the blue eyes are a dead give away.
Before I could respond, another voice called out," Alessa!" Turning I caught Angelo's eyes, beckoning me over I quickly excused myself.
Smiling, I leaned into Angelo once I approached him, his arm wrapping around my waist as I leaned against him, inhaling his intoxicating scent.
"How you doing?" He murmured in my ear, his minty breath hitting my neck, suppressing a small shudder, I turned my head to his.
"Fine, finally got to meet your mother, I see where Christina gets her exuberance from," I replied, Angelo chuckled, his deep laugh rumbling inside his chest.
"You're parents called to say they wished to be here and hope we all have a great time," he continued, his chin resting on my head as he hummed to himself. My parents decided to retire from Mafia danger and decided to take a holiday to Barbados, getting sun kissed skin.
Nodding, I relaxed into Angelo, watching the scene fold out before me. We all wore our formal attire, each looking owning there own spotlight of beauty. The children's laugh bounced through the room, as Josh and Christina lounged against the red velvet sofas, ideally watching their children, admiration evident within there features. Casting my gaze over to Mikel and his parents, Eva managing to easily handle the masculinity that radiated of both men as they talked together. Mikel's sheepish grins making sudden and humorous appearances.
"Where's Ali and Alonso?" I piped up, my mind wandering to my best friend. Knowing that she and Alonso are part of family, therefore invited to the dinner.
Feeling Angelo shrug nonchalantly, as his head nestled into the crook of my neck, inhaling deeply before resuming to trail his fingers across my exposed shoulders.
"We're here!" A loud shrill echoed through the room. Letting out a chuckle, I was released from Angelo's hold. Turning I saw Ali and Alonso saunter through the wide doors.
"About time," Angelo murmured, causing an eye roll from me as I embraced Ali in a quick hug.
"Don't you look beautiful," she teased, wiggling her eyebrows at me, her lips pouting in a humorous manner.
"Only for you, my dear," I replied, giggling afterwards as we chuckled at our own humour.
"What about me?" Angelo pouted, giggling I gave him a quick peck on the lips, pulling away quickly enough so he couldn't tempt me for more.
"Have some time with Alonso, I'm sure you two have some stories to catch up on about your masculinity," Ali beckoned, before she linked her arm with mine, practically dragging me away from the two bemused men.
Chuckling, I turned to Ali, her hair pinned up it loose ringlets, allowing some to frame her heart face, while her killing curves were hugged by a red velvet dress, keeping enough skin hidden to let minds imagine.
"So," I drawled, gaining her full attention as we settled down on one of the couches and a knowing smile settled on my features.
"What?" She replied all to innocently, her brows furrowing in confusion. Sighing, I rolled my eyes at her confused mind set.
"You and Alonso," I chuckled, watching as her eyes snapped away and her pale skin flushed with a bright pink hue in an instant.
"Nothing is happening if that's what you're implying," Ali huffed, her body betraying her words as her hands fumbled with the hem of her dress.
"Whatever you say, I'm glad you're happy with him, he's a good guy," I said, glancing over st the two who seemed to indulged into their own conversation to notice our stares.
"Yeah, he is," Ali hummed, chuckling, I rose up to fetch some wine, my mind yearning for a drink.
Wandering over to the small bar, I poured out two glasses of wine, letting the dark liquid fill the smooth glass.
Sighing, I brought the glass to my lips, letting the sweet taste slide down my throat, calm my mind.
"What were you two talking about," Angelos deep voice realised behind me. Turning around, I was met with hooded eyes, giggling I passed him a glass, shaking my head at his question.
"Girl talk, between us girls," I replied, taking another sip of my wine, watching as Angelo leaned against the bar next to me.
We both tuned out as we watched our friends and family talk together, laughter and smiles were the only thing to see and hear, any insecurities forgotten, just the security to bask in the warmth of a family gathering.
"It's just perfect,"I hummed, feeling Angelo intertwine our hands together, his thumb caressing my knuckles.
"And I can promise you it'll stay that way," Angelo murmured, drawing me close to him, his alluring eyes staring intently down at me.
Running my fingers along his jaw, I gave a smile, " I would love that," I whispered, my head tilting as I watched his eyes wander across my features. His very presence overwhelming my mind, invading any rational thought I had before.
"And I love you, my love," Angelo murmured, his soft lips softly calming my own as I smiled against them, feeling his truth behind those simple yet powerful words.
Everything is perfect...
