Alessa's P.O.V
Just as Angelo had said, Alonso walked through the door minutes later, only to be greeted with a defeaning silence, even after he had greeted me probably five times. My mind kept churning the thoughts over in my head. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get his broken face from my mind. It was etched in, like permanat ink.
Exhaling slowly, Alonso slumped down next to me, only to run his fingers through his champagne hair, tousling it more than it already was.
"What did he do?" he asked, finally turning to me after a few moments of silence.
Sighing, I sat back up to face Alonso.
"Why would you ask that?" I asked, raising one of my eyebrow in question, yet my eyes didn't quiet meet his, I was lying through my teeth and I was terrible at it.
Alonso snorted, shaking his head is dismay he looked back at me with one look that said: 'Don't give me that bullshit'.
"Principessa, that is the look I have seen on multiple women after Angelo has shut them out, so don't lie, plus your a terrible liar," he stated, only returning with his own eyebrow raise causing me to sigh.
Giving a small chuckle, Alonso rose up from the chair, but when I looked up, instead of his usualu cocky smile, I only saw sympathy and sorrow.
"Lets talk in the kitchen, then I'll catch you up on whats been happening," he said softly, gently holding out his large caousled hand.
Looking to the floor, I slowly took Alonso's hand and let him lead me into the kitchen. His large hand literally engulfing mine , making me feel so small compared to the two Mafia hulks. Only reminding me of how Angelo held me the previous night.
Sitting down at the breakfast bar, Alonso quickly made me and him coffee with extra milk , taking the brewed drink we both settled into out seats at the breakfast bar.
"So what did he do?" Alonso asked, breaking the silence of quiet gulps of the warm drink, even though it was over 30 degrees outside.
Sighing, I placed the large mug down on its coaster before slightly turning towards Alonso.
"Its not what he did, rather what she did," I said, my voice coming out quiet and holding no emtion.
At my short senctence, Alonso stiffened and froze in his seat, frowning, I waited to question it after and continued the story.
"Angelo left this morning at some time, so I was home alone, later a knock came at the door, so I opened it-" I began. but Alonso quickly injected.
"You opened the door without calling Angelo?" he asked, almost using a scolding tone with me as if he was I was a misbehaved child.
Shaking my head, he only sighed before I continued.
"There was a woman there, with ginger hair and large brown eyes, she stated that she was here for Angelo and literally just barged her way in after stating such. After treating me like an utter slave, Angelo returned home, lets just say, I have never, and don't want to again, see Angelo so pissed." I said, small flashbacks of the incident displaying itself in front of my eyes, my anger only rose at the thought of that bitch of a woman.
"She stated serveral things, Angelo, seemed- So, broken. Vulnerable, like a lost child," I said, my anger disappearing as fast as it had arrived, as her words echoed inside my mind before I glanced down at the marble floor, my voice quieting to a small mumble.
"I interjected, and kicked her out soon after. Then, I well, punched her in her nose, probably breaking it," I mumbled, which only caused Alonso to break into a fit of laughter, his loud voice booming through the kitchen.
But like a virus, his laughs were contanigous and soon felt my lips curl upwards into a small smile as I watched Alonso bend over in laughter, his green eyes glimmering with amusement.
Tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, Alonso finally calmed down after tears began to stream down his face.
"Good on you, that bitch deserved it," he commented afterwards, silently wiping away one of the tears tat had made it way down his chiselled face.
"You know her?" I asked, shuffling slightly my seat, my curiosity wandering on connection she had to the two Mafia men.
Sighing, Alonso leant forwards, his face losing any amusement from before, almost scaring me from how soleem his expression suddenly became.
"Teresa, yes. You have seen it all now, you might as well know the rest." he said, exhaling a weary breath before looking back at me, his green eyes pirecing into mine.
"Four years ago, Angelo found a woman, a woman who seemed to have made his world a better place. They travelled together, went everywhere together, she even knew about the business," he said, his tones hushed and eyes glazed over slightly as if warping through time to those very days.
"Probably 9 months passed, you could see how much Angelo loved her, it shone from his very being, reflecting in his eyes whenever he looked at her," he continued, I looked away, sadness and jealously filling my core. But , I soon pushed the emotions away from my mind to focus on what Alonso was saying.
"Soon he decided to get married, it was the night of a huge celebratrion of Mafia, and he planned to propose to her in front of everyone. So after several hours of partying, Angelo went on a search for Teresa since she had disapearted with one of the women to have a, 'gossip'," he said, venom suddenly filling his voice as he looked as if he wasn't ven in the present any more. Anxiety filled me as I shuffled uncomfortably on my chair, gripping my cup.
"But, he found her in the top room, fucking one of the guests like the wretched whore she is. Angelo yelled and instantly shot the man before screaming at Teresa who only retaliated back by saying she never loved Angelo and ran. Days later, Angelo's bank accont had been hacked, 4 million euros had been stolen from his bank account." he continued, I gasped, Angelo had been used for his money, she had abused the love and affection he had poured out to her, and she only discarded him and stole his wealth. Anger fused within in me, my hatred for Teresa was only rising higher and higher.
Everything clicked, she was here because she had wanted more money and her only resource was Angelo, if I hadn't been there he might have caved in.
"Angelo went into a state of depression, drinking the days and nights away with endless amounts of alcohol, eventually I had to lock him away in the house so he couldtn access alcohol, but I let him out again, and he turned to a player, picking up any woman he could using his charm to only get them in bed before discarding them like Teresa had to him," he finshed, his eyes finally re-foucins on mine again, sadness filling them as he stared at me.
"She broke Angelo , threw away the only thing he could possibly give to any woman, his heart, that's why Alessa, I'm surprised he even talks to you, interacts with you, in all these four years he hasn't let the same woman been in his presence more tha once, you've ingnited something that I haven't seen within Angelo in years," he stated, grasping my hands gently in his pulling me close to his face.
Shaking my head, confusion swept over me, "What do you mean Alonso? He has only pushed me away," I said, my tone cracking at how desperately I wanted to break down those walls and see who Angelo really is as a man, not a boss.
Chuckling softly, Alonso shook his head, "Principessa, you're so wrong, he's pushing you away because he sees your getting in, he's afraid, he doesn't know whethjer he wants to trust you or not, you just have to push back, harder and stronger, trust me Alessa when I say this: Angelo cares for you, but he is scared, you just have to show him the way out of the dark," he said, his green eyes piercing into my very being as if searching for something inside of me a, cure for Angelo
Gulping, I slowly nodded, pulling away, Alonso gave a small grin.
"But anyway, I'll quickly catch you up on whats been happening and then I'll have to go," he said, his tone soft, making me wonder where the cocky Alonso had gone to as he quickly switched subjects.
Serveral minutes later, Alonso had caught me up and everything that had happened. Lets just say it did not help my anxiety levels.
Bonado's men had gained more control over my fathers group but many had been caught and 'dealt' with as Alonso put it.
The men that had shot the woman at the seafood restaurant and been caught and had faced their punishment, which I had no intention to know about.
No deaths had been of the public, though the traitors deaths was a debatable topic.
My father and mother were safe and unharmed, which brought a sense of traquility over me for a brief couple of minutes before Alonso said he had to leave causing anxiety to rush up and claim my emotions once again as he said his goodbye and wished me good-luck with Angelo.
Once Alonso had left, I found myself standing at Angelo's office door. Why? I have no clue.
My intention? No idea.
After finally building up a small amount of courage, with a shaking hand I reached up and slowly knocked on the solid oak door, the sound echoing around the large space of the living room behind me.
After several moments of just silently standing behind the door, I huffed before reaching down to turn the golden doorknob, pushing aeway that Angelo may be pissed that I entered without consent.
Opening the door, I stepped through it before silently closing it behind me with a soft click.
Glancing around the room, I examained wwith rows of bookshelves lined arcoss the walls, while long cream curtains hung loosely in front of the large clear windows.
Angelo sat unmoving at his desk, his large build bent over his computer at his large wooden desk.
Swallowing slowly, I felt a lump form in my throat as I slowly began to walk towards his desk, stopping when I got to the very front of it, only then dud he acknowledge me.
"What do you want from me?" his, deep gruff voice suddenly breaking the silence as it bounched off the walls of his office.
"I want to know you," I replied, my voice calm, while my body was trembling from the sheer anxiety I was feeling in his presence.
He made a gruff sort of noise , before standing up, his ocean blue eyes cutting into mine like sharp knifes, yet a glimmer of vulnerability lingered there.
"Why?" he asked, rounding the desk to come face me, his trides slow as my breath hitched as he came closer and closer. Until he ahd me pressed against the hard corner of his desk, his body looming over my small frame, as I felt the warm emanate from his sculptured chest.
Gulping, I looked him directly in the eyes, not letting my anxiety leak into my voice.
"If I told you wouldn't believe me," I muttered, gazing softly into his eyes.
Slamming his fist down on the desk, he caused me to jump as anger shot into his eyes, scaring me at being at such a close proximity to him.
"You want to heal me? Sorry to inform you but I'm broken Alessa, whatever you want from me you cant have," he said, hostalitly lacing into into his voice again.
Sighing, I broke eye contact, only to look at his clenched fist next to me.
"Angelo, you're not broken, you've been stabbed in the back by someone who was closest to you, someone who was your very light and essence, almost like the air you breathe, I want your trust, I want you to let me in," I whispered, looking back at him, his eyes still reflecting hostilaltiy.
He have a low chuckle, sending a shudder down my back as my back bent further over the table as he leaned forwards.
"You couldn't handle my world if I let you in Alessa, I'm a dangerous man, someone who wouldn't be able to give you the normal life you deserve nor want, you would be forever bombared with Mafia issues, and even get killed," he stated, his eyes back to the emotionless state they were in a few moments ago.
Sighing, I shook my head violently, "What if I don't want a normal world Angelo? You're saying that I wont be in danger if I don't get involved within your life? Have you forgotton I am the daughter of another Mafia boss, no matter what life I lead, it will always be dangerous now thaty they know who I really am," I replied, my voice gaining my confidence that I actually felt.
Angelo remained silent, I had stumped him, he knew it and I knew it too, no matter where I went I was always going to me in danger or I wouldn't be cooped up in this house.
"You're afraid of me," he stated, his tone quiet as he glanced down at my shaking hands.
Turning away, I exhaled slowly, "I'm not scared of you Angelo, I'm scared of who you've let yourself become," I paused , letting out a shaky breathe as I stated into his steel eyes. "I may not have known you before, but I can tell you weren't born in such a state,"I whispered, looking down to the floor I couldn't face Angelos piercing gaze.
"Women only use me for money and higher power, what makes you different?" he asked, gripping my chin in a vice and turning it back to him as he became dangerous close to my face.
"I have a built up career, a family with wealth built inside their name as well as inheritance from many parts of my family. Most of all Angelo , you know me well enough from that night, that I don't believe in wealth, looks or status, I only live to do what I love, to care for who I love and stand up for what I believe in," I stated, my confidence raising even though my voice remained quiet and a hoarse whisper.
"You're scared Angelo, I know that, but sometimes in life you have to let go of those things that cut you open, or later on it will weigh you down and limit you to what you truly want," I said, my voice softening as I looked at Angelo through my eyelashes.
"What do I truly want then, Alessa?" he asked, his voice low and husky , empathising his Italian accent. His face coming even closer to mine, our lips inches from each other as my heart pounded against my sternum and my stomach did flips.
Gulping, I quickly glaced down at his lips and licked my own before making eye contact with him again.
"That's a question only you can answer, Angelo," I replied slowly.
Groaning, he stepped away from me, his wramth being replaced with the cold air of the room, making me miss how close his body actually was to my own, how his scent wrapped itself around me.
He ran his fingers through his thick hair with his back to me as I quickly regained my posture and attempted to calm my eratically pounding heartbeat.
Closing me eyes, I took a deep breath, calming myself and trying not to replay the images of how close his body was to mine.
Re-opening my eyes, Angelo was facing me again, but with an un-readable expression plastered on his face, the same one from the day he took me out for food.
"Angelo?" I asked, my voice a hushed whisper as my heartbeat only accelerated again.
Sighing, he came closer to me, framing my face with both hands as he looked me directly in the eyes, the hostility no longer there, but replaced with something else...
"What do I want?" he asked slowly, causing confusion to run through my mind at who the question was actually directed at.
But before I could even open my mouth to question, Angelo's lips came crashing into mine as I was pushed back against the desk, taken back my his sudden gesture.
Standing shocked for a few moments, I felt my eyes slowly flutter close as I began to return the kiss, his large arm wrapping around my waist pulling our bodies together as I felt the hard tone sculpture of his chest and abs against me, sending sparks skimming across my skin as I felt my body become flushed and heated.
My hands became tangled in his soft dark hair and one of his hands cupping my cheek and the other buried in my long hair, our lips intertwined in a passionate dance.
Pulling away, our breaths were laboured as I felt flushed and breathless.
That was by far the best kiss I had ever had....
Skimming his hand across my jawline he looked down me, a soft smile on his lips that now looked swollen from our kiss.
"You, I want you," he said softly, his tone hushed.
I felt as sense of happiness wash over me as I knew I had broken down a part of Angelo's wall, but I knew only time would be able to break down the rest.
Giving a small smile I gently kissed his jaw before pulling out of his embrace to run my fingers through my hair to make sure it wasn't tousled from Angelo's hand.
"You can come to the meeting tonight, its like a party as such, drinks, music," he said, now leaning against the desk, his arms folded across his chest as he looked at me, his voice hinting some sultry tones.
"But I don't have a dress," I stated, cocking my hip to the side, causing Angelo to chuckle and only prowl over to my small form, his eyes darkening to a deep blue before mischievous smirk played on his full lips.
"Don't you worry about that, you'll be ready by nine," he replied as he encircled his arms around my small waist causing my heart to flutter and fill with hope.
Nodding slowly, I allowed him to slowly re-claim my lips as I smiled against them, wrapping my arms around his neck giggling.
"Whatever you say, Boss," I mumbled against his soft lips, before he growled and pressed me harder against his body instantly shutting me up, as my thoughts wandered else where.

Finally! They kissed, I wanted for them to do that for ages but never knew when to do it, so I thought this was a nice part to do it. The next chapter will be in a small part of Alessa's point of view ad then Angelo's since you might want to know his thoughts and feeling at this stage . All good things do not worry. Anyway, hope you enjoyed! Until next time, bye!
