The night ended differently than Lorenzo had wanted. Jacob was ranting about Miami supposedly belonging to him and it all being stolen by the Moretti family. Things went hostile for a moment when Jacob took a swing at Lorenzo. His fist had never connected because Lorenzo side stepped him but it was enough to set the Moretti men off. Once Vargas and his men were taken out of the club Lorenzo went back to his VIP area. Lorenzo had not gotten home until almost dawn which meant he had to get ready for the trip he had postponed.

When it was time for him to leave Elena had still not woken up so Lorenzo had to leave without getting the chance to see her first. Elena had been disappointed when she woke up to find out that Lorenzo had already left for his trip. Over the next month and a half Lorenzo had done a lot of coming and going. Elena tried not to let it bother her considering he had always done it for the last three and half years but lately she wanted him around.

Elena had gone out to lunch with Angel and when she returned Lorenzo had been coming out of his office with Tony. "Elena I need to talk with you." Lorenzo said getting her attention. Elena stood there in the open door having the feeling of déjà vu. Her father had said similar words to her when her life was flipped upside down. "Everything alright?" he asked when he noticed her frozen state.

"Yeah." She quickly said as she walked towards his office and he gestured for her to go in first.

Walking in behind her Lorenzo walked over to his desk and sat down. "Tomorrow afternoon we are taking a trip." Lorenzo said as he looked through some papers on his desk.

"Ok... do you have any idea how long you will be gone for this time?" she asked as she walked over to the sofa and sat down.

"You're coming with me."

"What... why?" Elena said in shock as she stood up again. "I have plans this week and I don't want to take a trip anywhere."

"I'm not asking if you want to go, I'm telling you we are going." Lorenzo said as he looked up from the papers to see her glaring at him. "I'm not going to argue with you about this, we leave for the airport at eleven thirty so be ready."

To say Elena was pissed was an understatement, she spent about twenty minutes arguing with him about it then gave up when he didn't budge. At dinner that evening Elena wouldn't even look at him let alone answer any questions he asked her. Lorenzo was hoping when they arrive in the Caribbean her mood would change.

The next day Lorenzo watched from the doorway of Elena's room as she slowly packed her luggage. In the last three and a half years all of his trips were taken solo and this time she was coming with him. Elena had tried arguing her way out of the trip but Lorenzo stood his ground this time. Lorenzo needed Elena to be with him at the opening but most of all he wanted her by his side. There were days things seemed great between them then there were days Elena wouldn't even look his way. Lorenzo recently caught himself comparing the woman that pass through his life to her now.

The way she carried herself...

The way she walked...

Her body...

Her scent...

Not a single woman had measured up to his wife and without realizing what he had been doing Lorenzo began turning them away for the last few weeks. The one woman he wanted more than the air he breathed into his lungs was the one woman he was the furthest from ever having. She may have lived in the same house as he did and carried his name but it was like she wanted nothing to do with him. Their marriage wasn't out of love... it was a business deal between two crime families and she only saw it that way. That had been him in the beginning but not anymore, he wanted her... he wanted his wife, his queen. Elena was the first female Lorenzo didn't know what to do with.

Lorenzo gave Elena all that she could ever want but she had never asked for a single thing from him. Her clothing and shoes had all been chosen and purchased by a personal stylist he hired because she wouldn't shop with his money. The jewelry she barely wore were things his mother had told him to buy for Elena. Even the lavish mansion they lived in didn't have a single thing she had picked. When Elena was asked for her thoughts about what to do she would tell the decorator to ask Lorenzo.

Lorenzo stood there silently watching the small movements of her body as she moved about the room. The small sway to her hips as she walked was mesmerizing and could easily put him in a trance, like he had been at that moment. Tony's low voice next to him had snapped him back to reality.

"All of your bags are in the Navigator, we just need Elena's bags." He said in a low voice as he looked over at Lorenzo and smirked when he noticed Lorenzo's eyes had never left the petite form moving about the room. "Is she still mad?"

"Yeah." Lorenzo said pushing off the door frame. "Elena are your bags ready?" he asked finally moving into to the room like he had intended when he came up there in the first place.

Elena looked up from the bag she was packing, her eyes had easily shown her anger but she had forced a small smile to her face trying to hide it. "Yes." She said turning back to her bag. "The garment bag by the closest and the small rolling bag next to it are ready." She said waving her hand towards them. "This one is just about done, you didn't tell me how long I'm being forced to stay wherever you are taking me so I just packed enough for a couple of weeks."

Lorenzo sucked in a deep breath to keep calm with her as he waved Tony in to retrieve the bags to hand off to the lower guy that wasn't allowed in her room. "We are going to the Caribbean and should be there for only two weeks." He said as her angry eyes looked up at him. "I'm opening a casino this coming weekend out there."

"You have never made me go to any of the other openings you had so why do I have to be at this one?"

"Because I said you need to be there." He said sternly to her and she looked back down at her bag to avoid eye contact with him. When she zipped it shut Tony quickly grabbed the bag so he could get out of the tension filled room. Lorenzo waited for him to leave before speaking again. "Since the day we married you have only gone to four events with me, that is going to change now."

"Why... why now?" she asked looking back up at him. "What has changed? What are you keeping from me?"

"You know everything you need to know." He said calmly even though he wanted to snap at her. "You know how things work; you will always know only what is needed."

"Really... you're going to pull the mobster line on me." She snapped at him. "I can only know enough to keep me safe and you out of jail... never thought I would see the day you would sound just like my father."

"I am not your father!" Lorenzo yelled at her as he took a step closer to her and to his surprise she didn't back down. "I have more power than he ever had."

"Why are you forcing me into your life?" she snapped at him. "Do you think I haven't noticed?"

"Because you're my fucking wife and you will start acting like it." He growled at her.

When Tony got back to the door of Elena's room he was surprised to see the two of them standing toe to toe with each other. When Lorenzo's hand came up to tightly hold the back of Elena's neck with intent to pull her closer Tony quickly stepped in letting his presence known. "Time to go." Tony said as Lorenzo dropped his hand from her and they both looked over at him while taking a step back from each other.

Not a word was said between any of them, Lorenzo gestured for her to go first. Elena walked around him and snatched her handbag and phone from the bed and went out the bedroom door with both men walking behind her. When she got out to the black Navigator Gino opened the back door for her. He held his hand out for her to hold as she climbed in and Lorenzo walked around the SUV climbing in next to her. Elena sat close to the door keeping as much space as possible between herself and Lorenzo.

Tony sat in front of Lorenzo but had his body slightly turned towards the back so he could update Lorenzo on how the other businesses have been doing. The last six months most of Lorenzo's attention had been on this one hotel and the clubs he owned leaving Tony to watch over the rest of the hotels and casinos. Tony knew he didn't have Lorenzo undivided attention because he kept glancing over at Elena who was tapping away on her phone. When a genuine smile graced Elena's face for the first time that they had ever seen Tony knew he lost all of Lorenzo's attention. So he began a low conversation with Gino to give the two in back some privacy.

Lorenzo watched as she smiled down at the phone then tapped a message on it before placing it back on her lap. She glanced up at him and their eyes locked for that brief moment while her smile faded away. Elena looked back out the side window watching as the city went by on their way to the private airport. He stood watching her and a few moments later she lifted her phone back up and tapped away as another smile came to her face. Lorenzo figured her phone must have been on silent and whoever was messaging her was the reason for the smile that had never been aimed towards him.

Feeling the jealousy build up inside the pit of his stomach bothered him. Lorenzo hated the feeling and with there still being no word on the guy she dated and not knowing if she had contact with him was pissing him off. When she looked up and saw him watching her once again the smile faded. The hold on his temper had officially flew out the window at that very moment.

"Who are you messaging?" he growled at her in a low but slightly menacing voice.

"My sister." Elena said shaking her head.

"Give me your phone." He demanded as he held his hand out to her.

"Seriously Lorenzo it is my sister." Elena said to him in shock at the way he was acting.

"I said give me the fucking phone." He growled between gritted teeth.

"Fine... keep it!" she snapped at him as she slammed the phone down in his open palm.

Elena crossed her arms over her chest and turned her body slightly towards the door and glared out the window. Lorenzo tightly closed his hand around the phone and took a deep breath to calm himself down to keep from doing something he would definitely regret. When he finally looked down at the phone the screen had blackened so he turned it on and went to her messages. There had been only one string of messages and he closed his eyes out of anger. This time he was not mad at her but at himself for not believing what she said to him. Elena's sister Angel had been the one texting her and he knew the number well to know it wasn't any kind of ploy.

Lorenzo opened his eyes and looked over at her. "I'm sorry." Those two words had never left Lorenzo's mouth in the same sentence before that moment and it shocked the two men sitting in front of them into silence. When Elena didn't acknowledge his words Lorenzo reached over and grabbed her chin forcing her to face him. "I was talking to you."

"I heard you." Elena said as she grabbed his wrist hoping he would release her chin.

The moment his hand began to release her chin she dropped hers from his wrist. "Here." He said holding the phone towards her.

"I said keep it." Elena said as she turned back towards the window refusing to take it from him.

Not wanting to fight with her about anything else Lorenzo placed the phone in the inside pocket of his suit. The SUV remained silent for the rest of the ride and when they pulled up to his private jet Lorenzo's mood went from bad to worse. There were five police cars and a few detective cars sitting there waiting for them to arrive. Lorenzo looked over at Elena and she nodded at him knowing he wanted her to remain quiet as long as they don't question her.

They got out the SUV and Lorenzo straighten out his suit coat as he waited for Elena to walk around to his side. When she was standing next to him he reached down and grabbed her hand holding it in his while they walked towards the detective that was coming their way. Gino stood on the side of Elena and slightly behind her as Tony had done the same on Lorenzo's side.

"Something I can help you with, Detective Diaz?" Lorenzo asked with a force smile on his face.

"Lorenzo Moretti I have a search warrant for this jet and anyone planning to board it." Detective Diaz said with a smirk on his face as he showed the warrant in his hand. "Why don't you send your female friend home and not involve her in any of this mess?"

Lorenzo nodded for Tony to take the paper as he looked back at the detective. "My wife is not leaving my side and if you plan on searching my wife you better have a female officer here to do it."

"Ahh... the elusive Mrs. Moretti." He said smiling at Elena. "I am Detective Carlos Diaz... it is a pleasure to finally meet you." He said holding his hand out to her.

Elena glanced at Lorenzo and he gave a very small nod as he released her right hand for her to shake his. "Elena Moretti." She said as they shook hands and when the detective went to raise her hand to his lips she quickly pulled it away from him. "I rather you not do that." She said to him.

Elena placed her hand back in Lorenzo's and he gave it a gentle squeeze as he smirked at the detective that was stunned. Lorenzo had not expected her to do that and was in complete awe of the way she handled the detective. Diaz on the other hand didn't quite seem too happy about her small move and he vowed to get her back for it. He planned on making the Moretti trip a full on trip to hell.

"My officers will begin searching the jet and your vehicle while we wait for the female officer to arrive." Diaz said glaring at them. "Detective Michaels do not let them out of your sight." The other detective nodded as he turned to face the group he was assigned to watch.

Tony had kept his eyes bouncing between the couple in front of him and the jet as it was being searched while Gino watched the SUV and their luggage. Lorenzo glanced down at Elena as she watched the police pull their luggage out the SUV and began searching the vehicle. With a genuine smile on his face he gently place two fingers under her chin and guided her to look up at him. The look of curiosity was in her eyes at the way he had gently handle her at that moment. The smile had still not left his face as he took a mental picture of her soft features wanting to remember this moment.

"You surprised me with that little move." He said smiling down at her and Elena smile back at him and for the first time it was truly genuine not forced and aimed at him.

Tony watched the moment between them and couldn't help but smile himself as one of the detectives walked away from the jet and over to Diaz. Diaz had been watching the moment himself and realized that of all the woman he saw Moretti with he had never seen him look at any of them the way he looked at her. Just as Lorenzo was going to make a bold move and kiss her Diaz spoke successfully ruining their small moment.

"Moretti your jet and vehicle are clean." He snared while walking up to them.

Lorenzo looked over at Diaz as his hand dropped back to his side. "I know they are so exactly what were you trying to find on me?" he asked sarcastically.

"I had reason to believe you were trying to smuggle drugs across international waters."

"Well isn't that a disappointment for you then." Lorenzo said smirking and Diaz glared at him.

"You and your men know the drill against the car." Diaz said nodding towards the police car then he looked over at Elena. "Mrs. Moretti officer Lopez will give you a quick pat down and I want you to answer any questions she asks you truthfully."

Elena nodded at him but Lorenzo didn't like what he heard. "What questions?" he snapped at him.

"Against the car Moretti or I will arrest you for resisting."

"Lorenzo, I will be fine." Elena said assuring him so he would calm down.

Lorenzo kept his eyes on Elena as he was being searched and when he was done he stood there with eyes still locked on her. As the officer patted her down she was quietly asking Elena questions he couldn't hear. Tony was standing next to him also watching her and they both noticed every time she had responded her answers seemed simple and short, relieving both men knowing she wasn't talking. When Diaz walked over there Lorenzo tensed up again.

"If you are done searching me I would like to return to my husband." Elena said sternly to Diaz.

"Do you have any idea to the kind of business your husband is involve in?" Diaz asked ignoring her request.

"I have already answered that." Elena snapped this time loud enough for everyone to hear. "He owns several establishments that are well known and I'm sure you already knew that so if that is it I am done here."

"Mrs..." he began to say to her and she quickly cut him off.

"I said I was done if there is anything else then I want my lawyer present." She snapped at him, Diaz shook his head at her and she walked over to Lorenzo and his men.

"Are you ok?" Lorenzo asked when she came to a stop in front of him and he reached for her hands holding them in his own.

"I'm fine." She said looking up at him.

"Moretti." Diaz called out to him, Lorenzo looked up from her to Diaz as Elena looked over her shoulder at him. "You have a beautiful loyal wife that is pretty feisty, you're a lucky man." Lorenzo smirked at him and Diaz smirked back at him. "Answer one question for me?"

"What?" Lorenzo asked with the smirk still across his face.

"I was curious to why you parade around this city with different woman all time if you have this beautiful wife at home?" he asked smirking larger as Lorenzo's faded. "If I remember correctly in the last six months we saw you with eight... no wait nine different woman."
