It was the early morning hours. The sun had yet to make its beautiful appearance and the quarter moon was low in the sky. Although still warm compares to home for this time of morning, the air was slightly chilly. Evelyn leaned back into Angus body who was standing behind her, his arms draped casually over her shoulder. They were standing looking at his home, completely inaccessible from the missing bridge, but it was Angus goodbye to his home.
Angus loved the idea of traveling back with Evy, experience new things and be with her always however this was his home. He was shipwrecked when he was three years old and didn't have one memory of his life in civilization that he knows of. His parents had taught him everything he knew to this day to survive, and he was glad their language was English so he could converse, although with a bit of difficulty, with Evelyn and her family. He was excited, so excited he didn't know how to act upon it, but knowing no matter what Evelyn told him, the chances of him returning home wasn't very high. That kind of dampened the mood.
Evelyn's wild hair floated around by the breeze, the colour so dark it was captivating. It curled in long ringlets, sticking up in every direction making it 'frizzy' as she would call it. But Angus loved it. He lowered his head so his chin was on the top of her head. They stayed in silence but every now and then some of her hair would blow up and into his face and he'd swat it away.
"We should probably go soon." He heard Evelyn soft voice drift up to him, the breeze from being near a cliff taking her voice away slightly.
"Mhmmm," he mumbled but this was harder than he suspected it to be. He's had so many memories here, hardly any that are good but he was still fond of them. Where the bridge is now missing is where they killed the marozi but many years before that he too had fallen into the dangers of the water, damaging his shoulder to the point where he couldn't use it for months. He remembered lying in the hut with his parents every night, his mom teaching him English, for lady in the sky knows why, to make sure he spoke it correctly. His dad taught him a thing called math and how to add, subtract, divide and multiply but that was ages ago. It was in the back of his mind, but he wished he had paid more attention for more memories of his parts. Although he is okay with their deaths, he still wanted positive memories to outweigh the horrific memory of their unexpected parting to the women in the sky leaving him all alone at a young age to defend for himself.
"Are you okay Gus?" Evelyn asked. She squirmed in his hold much to his annoyance to turn and face him. When he realized she wasn't trying to leave him, the corner of his lips twitched up and he pulled her into a tight hug. He was huge in comparison to her with her head only reaching just below his shoulders. She molded into him and she tightly hugged him back, the only form to comfort him she could think of.
"Evy not leave me? At your home." It was his only concern. He needed to make sure she was always around to protect and to look after. He had grown attached to the small female he loved and if she left him when they returned home, he wouldn't know what to do.
"Of course not Angus." She frowned up at him. "If you want me around, then I'll be there for you. One hundred percent."
Gus nodded, happy with her answer.
Evelyn wanted desperately to ask him the same thing, and believe him when he replied the same.

The boat was the first familiar thing Angus encountered. When the large ship sailed in and anchored 150 meters offshore, Angus knew that he had seen it somewhere before. It was familiar to him but he couldn't place it from where he knew it from. By himself, while everyone including his Evy, packed the last of their things, Angus sat in just his shorts and no shirt for the last time on the sandy beach, staring aimlessly at the ship. His mind was running everywhere but the thoughts were nothing to be concerned about. He was just curious.
A smaller boat came to the shore and in groups of 5, everyone jumped on board apart from Angus and Evelyn. They were on the last trip out with the last few supplies and the driver, but they boated out in silence. Evelyn knew not to say anything as he was memorizing every last detail of where he grew up and survived all of his life. Once they were on the big ship, Angus looked at his island and turned away as they furthered further and further away from his home. The last thing he looked at was the cliff where he had first met his Evelyn, and that spot itself reminded him of why he was going on this new adventure, and how he wasn't regretting his decision. Not one bit.
Tonight was going to be the first night he would be split from Evelyn in sleeping arrangements, as the ship has a male and female sleeping compartments that weren't to be crossed over during the dark hours of the day.
Angus met the third and fourth female in his life after his mom and Evelyn. One was helping drive the ship. She was old, greying hair and much shorter than Evelyn, but had a cheery smile on her face the whole time. She was kind enough to show him to where the navigating was done and even let him drive for a few minutes before he got bored of it. There was a lot of buttons and a much larger version of a radio than what Brad had for his expedition and Angus avoided the confusing contraption all together.
The other female was a maid that worked on the ship who also did the cooking. She was younger and he remembered her saying she was twenty years old and just dropped out of university, whatever that is, because she didn't like it. She wasn't very interesting and he found her strange. After not wanting to talk to her, he set off to find Evy.
Angus had found her outside staring out into the vast ocean, her wild hair pulled into a tight ponytail. It was whipping anywhere and Angus knew not to stand behind her unless he wanted a mouth full of hair. He did anyways just because he wanted to be close to her. They stood there gripping the railing as the boat was charging at full force, the wind whipping Angus hair around his face. He liked this, the feeling of flying as they travelled further and further away from his home and towards what Evelyn would call civilization. Everyone else had long gone inside and the boat trip would last a day and a half, so it was just the two outside.
When Gus had come outside to find her, Evelyn felt the butterflies in her stomach. She let him explore and do his own thing so she wouldn't appear overbearing but when she was walking through the corridors and saw Angus talking to the maid, her heart dropped slightly. It was only an amount of time before he started meeting new people, many of them girls and she was happy for him, but was so at the expense of her heart aching. So she went outside to think.
The transition would be difficult and obviously they would remain friends but Evelyn worried when he would move on from her. Right now was supposed to be a happy time of Angus discovering the world with her there too, but she was doubting her spot now. What if he found prettier, nicer girls who had lot to offer? What would happen to her? The friend zone, obviously but would he still stay in contact with her?
She jumped when his hands were draped over her shoulders and she knew then that no matter what he would always be around for her, even if it wasn't in the way she wanted but she was okay with that.
"You okay?" He spoke loudly over the wind near her ear. He was met with a huge grin and a nod of her head then he pulled her in for a kiss, their tongues dancing together. She pulled herself in closer to him, her arms around his neck. His arms snaked around her waist and he picked her up off the ground, her legs wrapping around his waist so she wouldn't fall. She still hadn't grown used to him just sweeping her off her feet but she did love the feeling. Slowly, Angus walked them away from the railing and towards Evelyn's cabin for the night, their lips disconnecting so he could navigate their way. Her lips connected to his neck and small, sweet kisses where placed on his bare skin and one hand was tangled in his messy brown waves.
It wasn't long until they navigated the small corridor to her room for the night's stay and thankfully they hadn't run into anyone, and nobody had seen them. Evelyn detached her hand from his hair and gently closed the door behind them, slipping the lock closed before Angus walked with her over to the bed. Their lips met again in a hot, steamy kiss, Angus desperate for control. He was out of his comfort zone and even it was just with Evelyn, he wanted some control of the situation and he knew she'd understand. Evelyn was more than happy to oblige as he lay her down on the single bed, his strong body crawling on top of hers. Evelyn felt caged in but loved it. Angus cared for her so she knew he wouldn't bring her any harm. She lay down completely at his mercy and his lips crashed down onto hers, more passionate than outside.
Her hands traveled up and down his back, her nails lightly scratching the skin making him shiver from her touch. He loved it, he lived for how her touches drove him wild and he felt himself hardening from it. He hoped she would do to him what she did the night he agreed to come home with her, and most importantly he wished he could make her feel the same mild blowing pleasure too.
Her hands rested just above the waist band of his shorts as they kissed, Angus dominating the kiss.
"How do, I," he said between kisses, "make you feel," he broke the kiss again. "good?" Angus hardly had a chance to finish the word as his lips were stolen again by her. Instead of answering, Evelyn guided one of his hands to her core, covered by her layers of clothes.
"Right here." She whispered into his ear. His body froze, the words sounding like a heavenly fire rolling off of her tongue. His lips crashed back onto hers as his hands fumbled to remove her shorts. Left in her underwear, Angus's hand made its way back down to her core again, his fingers slipping underneath the material. His fingers were greeted with smooth skin followed by a soft fuzz. He felt a nub and when she gasped, Angus had never heard something so pleasing before. His fingers moved around the nub and he watched in fascination as Evelyn lay below him, her eyes closed and mouth parted with soft gasps and breathless moans left her lips while she gripped tightly on to his arms.
He jumped when he felt her hand fumble with his shorts, pushing them away from his body. Assisting her, he kicked them from around his ankles, then removed Evelyn's underwear, leaving them both in their most vulnerable state. Evelyn's hand grasped his length, moving up a down as he played with the nub until eventually Evelyn gasped 'coming' and her hips jerked up and a long soft moan left her lips. Her grip on his shaft tightened and the movement became quicker as she twisted underneath him until he too grunted, feeling once again the orgasmic state.
They both lay there panting, not saying anything. Angus was still hovering above Evelyn, looking down on her and into her eyes with a smile on his face. She returned the happy gaze, content with how they were. Eventually Gus gently collapsed, his body lying on top of hers covering her completely however he kept some of his weight off her. Together they lay there in perfect silence, enjoying each other's company and wanting nothing more than for their relationship to stay this young and exciting.
