I WAS SO EXCITED TO WRITE THIS YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND AND I WANTED TO SHARE IT SO BAD I HAVEN'T PROPERLY EDITED SORRY :)

The wind whipped at a fast pace, hair flying everywhere and obstructing their vision. The smell of salt and the sea filled their noses as they stood on the side of the ship, hands gripping the railing tightly as they looked out at the endless stretch of water. Evelyn was nervous but Angus was thrilled.

He was finally going home.

The past one and a half months were extremely busy, nothing but constant court dates and paperwork officially stating their move, and legal ownership, to unmarked land. The organisation Save Angus was a worldwide hit, the story of the exposure and negative impacts of society and challenges faced released for all to see. With that, how toxic and damaging society truly is and how it affects pure people. To help roll in the donations, Angus starred in a free documentary about his life at home in isolation, versing the life of modern civilisation. The documentary was one of the most viewed on screen videos, breaking records for most views in 24 hours, a week and a month.

He was very open about it, comparing and contrasting the two places to live. He told the positive and negatives of both environments, with civilisation having more negative than positive. The story of the inside source was shared publically (with Loretta staying anonymous), highlighting the stress it had on not only him, but loved ones to ultimately make it that much harder to adapt and feel accepted.

The Organisation ended up raising 6.83 million dollars in the few months it had been running, which was more than enough to legally buy the whole of the island to make it private land. There was also enough left over to afford monthly supplies to be delivered to the island as well as equipment to make life there easier.

"We need a mattress." Angus stated, his face completely serious as he looked at Evelyn. "I refuse to sleep without a mattress." Evelyn couldn't help but laugh at him. "And chocolate in our supplies. Lots of chocolate." Evelyn once again laughed, the pen slipping from her grip she held her stomach.

"Female, have you written that down?" Angus questioned, eyes darting to the half completed list of supplies they needed to make their first trip home. He raised an eyebrow, admiring the pathetic list they had created.

"You're listing things to quickly, and half of them are useless." Evelyn laughed. "Like lots of chocolate, you need to be specific on what type." She said. "And then this one, washing machine, won't even work because we opted to have no electricity." Angus raised an eyebrow. "And you don't even wear shirts unless it's necessary."

"You're so smart it annoys me," Angus said with a grin, lunging over to her one the couch. He trapped her body beneath his own, pinning both hands above her head restricting her.

"Oi, Gus, don't do it." Evelyn warned with a laugh. Ever since the clearance went through of them going to Angus' home, Angus had been happy. Extremely happy. He had been playful, smiling all the time, joking, sarcastic, amazing in the bedroom and overall a sweet person. The bags under his eyes had disappeared and he over all felt better form not stressing and excitement taking over him.

"And what of I do?" He threatened, bending down and nipping her lip.

"Then I won't go home with you."

"That's a lie and we both know it." He retaliated not hesitating. Anyone could see straight through her empty threat. He knew deep down, Evelyn was glad to be leaving society and living a life in paradise.

"Oh, piss off." She shot back, clearly not having an excuse.

"Love you," he leaned down and pressed his lips to hers.

"Yeah, whatever."

"I'm so excited," Angus said for the millionth time. Already, they had been on the ship for two days. In only a mere hour, they would reach the island where their adventure began.

"Really? I thought the last hundred times you said it you were lying." Evelyn sarcastically responded. Angus reached out and poked her in the hip, making her stare at her man in disbelief.

"Using my moves against me?" She shock gasped, the sound being carried away in the wind. "That's so mean," she laughed, poking him right back.

Angus didn't say anything, he just stayed silent and smirked down on her.

Angus could not sit still. He was a few hundred meters away from the shore of his home. The small portable boat had only himself, Evy, her parents and a driver on it moving at such a quick pace they almost got bounced out from the small bits of choppy water.

The minute it took to reach shore felt like hours. If the boat wasn't so jumpy, Angus would have his knees bouncing up and down in anticipation. Every other person in the boat felt like they were almost intruding as they watched the glee in his face, and they looked away to give him some privacy as he reunited with not only his home, but the place he grew up and survived at.

Not even a second after the boat stopped, Angus was out. The cold water went just below his knees, the odd small waves slapping his knee cap. The cold didn't faze him though. The familiar feeling of sand between his toes, the beach front he knew off by heart and the feeling of home surrounded him in what felt like a welcoming hug.

He didn't hesitate as he scooped Evelyn off the boat, her surprised yell making her parents laugh. Her arms wrapped around his neck as he carried her bridle style up to the beach. She was placed on the ground as soon as they were out of the water and her hand was immediately engulfed with Angus' much larger one. He didn't even speak as he pulled her forwards at a fast pace, calling back to her parents that they would be back later.

It was already discussed they would go as soon as they got here, and her parents were fine with that as they were in charge of getting and directing everything off the ship and back to the camp grounds where it would all be located.

Clearing the sand and entering the tree line, Angus' hand tightened around Evelyn's.

"Come on," he grinned down on her. He quickly whipped his shirt off and discarded it on the ground, now in nothing but a pair of shorts as they ran off along the ground he knew like the back of his hands.

"Hey, you can go by yourself the first time, I don't want to hold you back," she called to him. He glanced down at her in shock.

"All my best memories made here were with you, Evy. I want you here too." His words sounded sweet, yet they were all jumbled up as they ran. Either way, Evelyn yanked his hand backwards causing his body to jolt to a stop, wondering that was wrong already.

Instead, his towering frame was pulled down so Evelyn could smash her lips onto his. She pulled back, leaving Angus dazed as he looked down on her with his eyes wide and lips parted, breathing heavily.

"Let's go," she giggled, racing past him.

"Evy," she heard him groan behind her and she laughed as she heard him come thundering up behind her.

The two were panting as they finally ran up the side of the cliff, the one where it all began. Without any spoken words, the pair stopped and looked off, admiring the beautiful view. From where they were, the tall, green canopy of trees filled out what felt like endlessly. Then, they hit the tiny stretch of beach and the ocean where currently the large ship was, as well as a few boats transporting things onto the island.

Angus reached down and grabbed Evelyn's hand, intertwining their fingers as they thought of the first time they met, and imagined what their future held. It was going to be such an obscure way to live but the madly in love pair couldn't think of a better way to live.

"You reminded me so much of Tarzan when we met," Evelyn said from the blue. "And you kept trying to touch me, man I was terrified." She laughed looking back on the memory.

"I first thought you were a monkey." He said abruptly. Evelyn looked at him in disbelief before cracking up laughing, her stomach hurting to the point she was laughing so much.

"A monkey," she laughed.

"Technically you are." He pointed out.

"Oh, don't give me that evolution bullshit," she laughed. Evy reached up and playfully pinched his cheek, making Angus grunt. "You're so cute when you try and talk science."

"Piss off," he gently slapped her hand away from his face, his cheek tingling from it being pulled. He nodded his head as he gestured for them to go and continue their way to his home.

"Will we live here?" Evelyn asked. Panting, the couple looked at the tree hut isolated on the chunk of land just away from them. The bridge was long gone, hanging down and swaying gently in the breeze forgotten and rotted.

"No," Angus said quietly. "It's not very safe for you. And it's quite a way off the beach so transporting supplies would be a pain."

"Would you be okay with that?" She asked, knowing how fond of his home Angus was.

"Kind of, but I'll live."

He didn't expand his thoughts, but what he wanted to say was this home was in his past. It was his home he survived in, the one his parents were in and the one he spent some nights freezing and wondering why he still tried sometimes. He loved his home, his sentimental attachment was unreal but his time on his island won't be about survival anymore. It would be about adventure and fun.

With that, Angus wanted to let go of the harsher memories and start fresh to create his own. If he and Evy were to try and heard out the monkeys, he wanted to do it freshly and not in the place he almost froze to death from a random fluctuation in the weather. If he and Evy were to have a child, he didn't want it to be in a place he hardly slept for weeks on end because he was so distraught about his parent's death and felt alone. If he and Evy were to be happy, he didn't need the reminder of the times he wasn't.

"What are you thinking about, Gus?" Evelyn asked him softly. He had spaced out, his eyes trained on his home. His eyebrows were furrowed, small winkles forming on his forehead. His hair was out, flowing behind him slightly in the breeze as a few odd pieces drifted in front of his face.

"We're going to be happy, Evy." He replied after a short while. He turned and placed his arms around her waist, hoisting her up into the air so they were face to face. Her legs wrapped around his waist, arms around his neck as she stared into his deep brown eyes. A small smile playing on his lips as she grinned at him. "Very happy."

With that, he pressed a lingering kiss on her lips and felt the strange feeling in his stomach reappear. To admit, back at her home the dizzy feeling when they kissed had faded over time. But now he was back home, it was like he was experiencing it all over again. The addictive touch, the wanting to be near. The wanting to protect. It all rushed back and he couldn't have asked for anything more.

Three weeks had come and gone, finally leaving Evelyn and Angus were alone.

Just an hour ago, her parents had boarded the ship and began their journey back to the city. They had been on 'vacation', helping the two set up for their life. A few others had been here too, helping install certain things such as a toilet, a singular tap for running water and water tank, ensuring all places got signal for a satellite phone to be able to reach civilisation if needed.

A new bridge was installed to Angus' home, one of metal and wood to remain stable just in case they needed to return there. A brand new home had been built too. It was a small cosy cabin set up just under the base of the cliff and only a few minute walk from the beach. It had a lounge room with a couch and table, a kitchen with a bench, cutlery, plates and a gas stove and a bedroom with a bed and chest of draws but that was practically it. It was all they needed, and it was perfect.

Evelyn couldn't thank her parents enough for helping them out, and also for being so supportive. When she had first proposed the idea to them, they didn't tell her no. They were sceptical yet understanding and after the plan had been thrown out there, they reluctantly let their daughter go. The farewell was slightly emotional as Angus and Evelyn sat on the beach, watching the ship slowly move out of site and away until their next visit.

"You know," Angus carefully started speaking. They were lying on the beach, Angus in nothing but a pair of brown boxers and Evelyn in nothing but some bike shorts and a running sports bra. Angus was stretched out on the sand with Evelyn propped up on his leg as she looked out at the endless stretch of sea.

At Angus' words, she lolled her head to the side lazily and looked up at him waiting for him to continue.

"We're all alone now."

Evelyn nodded her head.

"That means, we can have some wild sex anywhere we want, and nobody will ever see us." He smirked, sitting up and pulling Evelyn on top of him. She smirked down on him as she happily let him move her to sit straddling his lap, his hands falling down to rest on her bum.

"We could. Buuut," Evelyn looked around for a second before whispering in his ear. "Birds have eyes, they tell everything." Angus frowned at her comment.

"It's true, have you ever heard the saying a little birdie told me?" She felt bad for pulling his strings, but his reaction was worth it.

"Birds can't talk."

"Where do you think the saying started?" She shrugged. She couldn't keep the huge grin off her face. Angus looked almost in shock that this could be the truth. She started laughing, her hands still around her neck as she pulled herself in closer to him, pushing so his back fell flat on the sand.

"You're screwing with me." He said dryly as a statement that Evelyn confirmed with a cheeky smile.

Evelyn pinned Angus' hands above his head, knowing fully well that if he wanted out he could change the position in a mere second. She was happy he was just going with what she was doing.

"For you Gus, I'd have wild sex with you anywhere," her eyes were shining with pure happiness as she spoke, looking down on Angus who was completely infatuated with the girl above him. "Just not on a beach. I don't want sand going where it shouldn't be."

Angus didn't waste a moment. He pushed his body off the ground, picking up Evelyn and throwing her over his shoulder to take her to a place with less sand.

"Evy, careful." Angus scolded as he grabbed her by the waist to secure her.

"Sorry, I forgot how slippery al this moss is." She sheepishly replied. She was standing on a fallen tree, practically face to face with Angus, just a little bit higher up. She pressed a kiss on his forehead and tapped his hands to keep going.

It felt the same as months ago. Evelyn was leading the way as they went and explored the jungle, Angus a few steps behind and ready to spring into action as soon as she was clumsy and slipped.

"Well remember. Please," he grumbled behind her. As stoked as he was to return home, he still clearly remembers how clumsy she is and some of the dangers on the island. He knew he was going to have to teach her everything so when they split up she was safe and could navigate.

"Everything looks the same to me." Evelyn commented as she stepped over another tree that had fallen over. "For all I know, were about to come out at the cliff." She laughed.

"No, Evy. We're walking in the wrong direction to be heading there." Gus said, shaking his head. "Look." He reached out and grabbed her arm to steady her and looked up. "The moss on the tree grows on this side." He pointed to the vibrant green on the tree trunk, all pointing south.

"The cliff is on the moss side, meaning if you walk the way we came we would reach the cliff. We're walking with the moss, so were away from the cliff."

"That is that damn smart Angus." Evelyn said impressed. "It still amazes me the amount of stuff you figured out by yourself that we all take for granted by being taught."

Angus shrugged his shoulders, feeling lightly flushed from the compliment. He mumbled something under his breath and nudged her to keep going forwards.

"Gus, um, I, never took you this side." Angus said. "There's ah, falling water. Salt water though."

Evelyn giggled. "You're talking like a jungle man again."

"Shut up."

"Okay Tarzan."

"I don't like Tarzan."

"You're practically the same person."

"His hair was gross and he walked crouched over like a fucking weirdo."

Evelyn gasped. "Angus! Don't you dare insult Tarzan. He's my favourite Disney character."

"Sorry."

<><><><><><><><>

"This," Angus said quietly when they reached a rocky area, "Is where the Mazouri's lived. The one you saw, was the last of them."

"They're extinct?"

"All dead." Angus didn't know what extinct was so he just restated his words. "It's why, uh Gu-I never took you here. In case we ran into them."

"Are you sure there's none?" Evelyn questioned. Angus nodded.

"When I left the other day, I came and looked. There's none anywhere now." They kept walking until Evelyn heard the heavy sound of water falling, growing louder and louder the further they walked.

Suddenly the heavy jungle and rocky floor opened up into a rocky clearing, the main focus the large waterfall in front of them. It was breath taking, something you'd never expect to see apart from in the magazines. The water was clear yet extremely dark as it was super deep. The falling water had the main waterfall, not huge yet still a fair size with smaller ones on the side. It fell into a fair sized body of water, the black and brown rocky terrain opening a gutter for the water to catch before it trickled past them and disappeared behind the trees.

The sound of water crashing from a 20 meter fall was extremely loud, yet it was soothing to the ears. The view was stunning as the dark coloured rocks clashed with the bright blue sky and deep green of the trees surrounding them.

"Gus, this is awesome." Evelyn breathed. She felt Angus' strong frame come and stand behind her, his torso pressed lightly into hers. His arm draped lazily over her shoulder as he pulled her in backwards to lean on him. Her hands rose and held onto the one hand over her shoulder as she took everything in.

"The water is very deep, 8 bodies." Angus said.

"Bodies?" Evelyn remembered the first time she ever met him, Angus commented on the height of her fall and measured it with bodies. She had long forgotten that and didn't know how big one was.

"Uh yeah. One body is my height." Angus said.

:And you're 6'4", so that times 8 is just over 50 feet?"

Angus shrugged his shoulders. "I guess. I never liked your measurements anyways. What you say is a foot is much bigger than any foot I've ever seen."

Evelyn couldn't help but coo at his comments. Because she grew up knowing that, she just went with it but seeing an outsider's perspective really questioned way society deemed as normal.

"Don't make that face at me, female." Angus scoffed as he saw the adoring face she's make at a child. It made him feel stupid and not very manly, hurting his pride.

"I'm sorry," she whispered. "So we can jump off this?" She grinned, and Gus nodded his head.

"But, be careful. Avoid the edges. Hold my hand the whole time." He instructed. Evelyn didn't waste a minute stripping off her socks and shoes, following suit as Angus removed his shorts leaving him in no clothes.

After all, it's not as though someone can walk in on them.
