The hug only lasted a few moments, to the disappointment of both Angus and Evelyn. As they both reluctantly pulled away from one another, Evelyn looked upwards and towards Angus as he smiled down on her. But then all the sudden he frowned and his grip on her wrist tightened slightly as he huskily spoke.

"Evelyn no focused. Dangerous." He scolded and Evelyn's smile dropped as she tried to make meaning of his non fluent English. "Ready Evelyn. Dangerous." Angus repeated. From the concerned and angry tone he used, Evelyn assumed he was scolding her for not paying attention to her surroundings. When she asked, he nodded his head, his lips pressed into a thin line and wrinkles formed on his forehead from frowning.

"I promise to stay aware." Evelyn quietly spoke to him, slightly embarrassed from letting her guard drop in the middle of a forest. "Sorry." She mumbled as her head faced the floor.

Angus felt conflicted. It angered him that she had not been focused and aware of her surroundings, but it made his heart ache at the thought of Evelyn being upset with him, to the point where she couldn't even look at him anymore. A small growl came from Angus as he felt frustrated. He didn't know what to do in order for her to be happy again. He reached out as his fingers tilted her head to look at him again. Her green eyes wide as they captivated his brown orbs.

He would never get tired of looking into them.

"Evelyn, okay." He hoarsely said as he concentrated hard to think of the words. "Just stay, aware. Please." When Evelyn rapidly nodded her head and her clouded eyes became clearer once again, he sighed in relief. She no longer looked upset and he had fixed it all by himself. Angus felt very proud of himself.

Evelyn smiled after Angus had told her to remain aware. From his tense posture she had felt his anger and irritation and she knew that he could easily get frustrated. Never have experiencing, or maybe haven't experienced for a very, very long time, of taking others feeling into consideration and being able to express those emotion and thoughts must be a huge challenge for Angus. Even though the man before her was a well built, mature person she couldn't help but resemble him to a toddler still learning and adjusting to interactions with other people. Although she was cautious, she found it adorable.

"Why, why did you leave? At the camp?" Evelyn quietly asked looking at Angus' solid chest in front of her. Her cheeks flushed at the sight of the toned muscle and tanned flesh in front of her but it was the only thing to look at that didn't involve losing the small amount of physical contact with him.

He tensed at the question meaning he had understood some or all of the question. He opened his mouth to speak but the nerves that overwhelmed him before started to build up again from just the thought. When Evelyn noticed how uncomfortable he was, she peered up at him. Hesitantly, she raised her hand and lightly grasped at the ends of his hair that fell past his shoulder.

When she pulled gently, Angus body relaxed and his eyes fluttered closed as he sighed in content. Mixed with the feeling of bliss from her touch and his thoughts on trying to remember the language to converse with his thought ran loose in his mind and he couldn't think of how to reply. His stomach dipped and he felt something in him tightening, a feeling he couldn't place.

"Was it overwhelming?" She asked quietly. She studied him in his relaxed state, watching as his eyebrows drew together from using the work overwhelming. "Scared, nervous, anxious, confused?" She suggested making him nod his head.

"N-Nervous." He confirmed. "Feel dad, won't like Angus." He confessed.

"My dad?" Evelyn questioned. "My dad would love to meet you. Especially if it proves I didn't get a concussion and was going crazy." She laughed. "I'm sorry for rushing going to camp. I was eager to see dad and show you to him I didn't take your feeling or perspective into consideration." She apologized.

"Shhh," he hushed her, his eyes peeling open as he looked down on her. All of the big words she was using was difficult for him to understand. He may have known them ages ago but now that he hadn't used them in over thirteen years as his parents had gone, he had long forgotten them.

"It's, okay." He murmured. As their eyes locked he felt his chest stirring. Evelyn gazed up at him with much admiration.

"What the fuck, Evelyn!" Mikes voice broke them from their chance. Instantly, Angus' whole demeanor changed. He was tense, on edge as he pushed Evelyn behind him in protection as he sized the stranger up. From following them he knew the man was tall, but he was even taller up close.

The man quickly ran over to the two, closing the distance quickly and Angus' stance crouched, prepared to fight. He had observed this many times in animals. The males battle it out for the female to determine who the tougher, stronger and most capable male is who will ultimately be the father to the strongest off spring possible.

"Angus!" Evelyn spoke, her small hand pressed lightly on his back. "It's okay, this is Mike." She said as though this meant something to Angus.

"Mike, stop moving." Evelyn demanded to the tall male. Slowly he stopped, coming to a halt still a few meters off them but his eyes were peeled, watching every move of Angus like a hawk.

"It's okay Angus. Mike is good." Angus eyes didn't leave Mike but he listened to her words. "It's okay, Mike isn't dangerous."

"Fuck me, you were telling the truth." Mike breathed out as he took in the male in front of him. He too was a tall man, although he was only a few inches shorter then himself. His hair was a dark brown that fell down his back, his face only having a small beard to it. This Angus' eyes watched Mike taking in every action he did, judging him just as he was judging Angus.

"Of course I was." Evelyn spoke softly not provoking anyone. "Angus. Are you okay?" Evelyn focused all of her attention back on the wild man, forgetting about Mike close to them. Her small hand nervously clutched at his, the tanned skin very rough and hard yet somehow comforting. She tugged slightly, her heart beating rapidly unsure on how he would handle yet another person. It was sprung on him unexpectantly and the last thing Evelyn wanted was for Angus to express his emotions in the form of anger.

Slowly, Angus turned to face her. Her wild green eyes were filled with concern as she gazed up at him, investigating him for a reaction. He couldn't help the confused look on his face, eyebrows furrowed and lips pulled into a thin line as he pondered. She could tell that she didn't have all of Angus focus. Every few seconds, Angus stunning brown eyes would leave her for a moment, flicking over to where Mike stood on edge wondering what the fuck he was supposed to do.

As he observed the interaction between the two perfect strangers, his witty mind couldn't think of an effective way to do anything. Never was he expecting to find the man, one as healthy appearing as he, Evelyn has been gushing about claiming she saw. The supplies in the tent catered for extra food and water so caring for him would be of no problem but the language barrier, morals, behaviors and life style would all be hard for everyone to adapt to.

Mike could tell that Angus didn't like him or didn't feel comfortable around him. The continuous glances, the stance he carried ready to move on a moment's notice and the hard eyes he received told him just that.

"Mark, good?" Angus finally asked, breaking his silence and needing a positive confirmation from Evelyn to reassure some of his nerves.

"Yes." Evelyn replied quickly, her thumb running small lines up and down the hand she clutched dearly onto. "Mike is very good."

Angus didn't like how quickly Evelyn replied, the immediate response nerving him even more about this man in front of him. Evelyn heart dropped as Angus gently pushed her hands from him and took slow, careful steps towards Mike.

Mike stood in the one spot not moving, watching Angus as he approached him. He felt a vibe from this man that he was of no threat however he didn't let his guard down as he was approached. With a careful eye, mike assessed his body language, his eye movement and weak spots in case it did come down to violence one way.

"You tall." Angus muttered, reaching a hand out to poke Mike on his arm. Mike pursed his lips together to stop the smile from the juvenile and childish behavior possessed from the man. "All of you, tall?"

Mike shook his head no. "Nah Mate, I'm just a fucking giant." Angus didn't understand one word, the profanity used confusing him slightly. His mind flashed to whenever his father would get angry or frustrated, he would use the word fuck only for his mother to scold him not long after.

He retreated back to Evelyn, his confused eyes looking at her to clarify what he had just said. "Mike is very tall. No one else usually gets that tall." Angus nodded his head.

"Evie, can I talk to you for a moment?" Mike asked, his tone implying there was no question asked. Evelyn nodded before looking up at Angus.

"I won't be long." He hesitated. "Please Angus, don't leave again." Her eyes bored into his and it melted his heart. She looked so scared he would disappear again and he vowed to not run from the situation now. After nodding his head, she hesitantly walked away, glancing over her shoulder every now and then with her thin lip being tugged by her teeth.

Something about the action made Angus feel funny.

"What the hell do we do with him now?" Mike asked, his deep voice questioned. "I never expected to find him. I haven't planned this. Everyone was dead set on you hallucinating or some shit.

"I, I don't know." Evelyn stuttered, her eyes trailing over to where Angus was waiting. He had picked up her notepad and was looking through her few sketches, poorly executed if you asked her but Angus was amazed with them. His finger traced the lines made by the branch he saw her using and his eyes darted around the page at the different shading used. He was mesmerized.

"We, he gets overwhelmed. It's why he ditched last time I bought him back." She explained. "We need to introduce him to dad then see what happens. He hasn't seen humans in god knows how long and something like this is huge, unimaginable for him. We need to take this slow and not scare him." She was determined as she spoke but some insecurities snuck into her voice.

"How have you already grown attached to this dude?" Mike asked, an eyebrow raised and his hands propped out on his waist. "I mean, he's clearly infatuated with you but you return some of it."

"I, I find him fascinating." She mumbled, her cheeks turning pink. "He tries, hard too. Like yesterday I would correct him in English and he made a point to show how much he pays attention. And his hut, it's incredible how modern his ideas are. He's smart." She concluded, embarrassed by her rambling.

"And you think he's hot too." Mike dead panned, making Evelyn's cheeks burn red.

"Who wouldn't?" She mumbled under her breath, her eyes looking up to meet a set of bright brown eyes already looking at her.

Somehow, after much persuasion on Evelyn's behalf, she had convinced Angus to meet her dad and her dad only, and also convinced Mike to leave them alone a few minutes' walk from the camp to fetch her dad so Angus didn't have to face anyone and overwhelm him.

"I have, feeling again." Angus murmured to no one in particular. Evelyn frowned as he observed him. His tall frame was sitting on a rock, his back slouched as he played with his abnormally large fingers. His eyebrows remained furrowed and his usual light brown eyes were a darker, more guarded shade.

"The nerves?" Evelyn asked.

"Mhmm.' Angus responded. "Why Mike call, you Evie?" Angus stuttered out. This whole meeting with him today and his English seemed to be less fluent so the nerves were evident in his tone. Evelyn hated that she was the reason he was feeling so unsure of himself but at the same time she liked being selfish meaning she can spend more time with the man who had completely captivated her.

"Evie is a nickname." Evelyn said unsure on how to explain it. "It's practically shortening a name so it's less of a mouthful."

"Love." Angus randomly said.

"What?"

"Mom. Called me Love." All Evelyn could do was nod her head. She didn't want to be nosey and pry into his past but curiosity built up inside her. He mentioned a mom and a dad, and somehow he had ended up on this island. Maybe they had taught Angus how to live so modern?

"Did she?" Her voice rasped out. He nodded his head and stood to his tall figure and slowly walked to Evelyn.

"Evy.' (A/N Pronounced Eh,v,ie, and everyone else who calls her Evie pronounced it E,v,ie)

A small smile tugged at her lips at the mispronunciation. Nobody had ever called her that before, and the nickname rolling of his lips jaggered and unsure made her cheeks flush and a grin appear on her face.

"Gus." Evelyn recuperated. Questionly, Angus pointed at himself as in to question of that was his nickname. "Yes, silly." Evelyn giggled.

"Evy and Gus." He said with a tone of endearment. It had a nice ring to it.
