"Hey" Dominic said walking into the living room.

"What happened?" I asked jumping up off the couch.

"Don't worry we didn't kill your little boyfriend if that's what your worried about" Dominic said to me.

"Okay? So what happened? Did he show up there?" I asked generally concerned.

"Yeah" Dominic replied.

"And?" I asked annoyed.

"He's not dead" Dominic said to me.

"Dominic!" I yelled at him feeling irritated.

"They showed up just as we were already leaving" Dominic said to me. "Thanks to your heads up we were able to get our stuff and get out".

"Okay" I sighed relief.

"And by the way, I got you a gift" Dominic said to me.

"Really?" I raised a brow at him.

"Yeah here" Dominic said handing me one of the briefcases I hadn't even noticed he had with him before because I was so anxious to know what happened.

I took the briefcase from him already knowing what was inside because I've received 'gifts' like this before. I opened the case revealing two nice 9 millimetre pistols, ammunitions and a silencer.

"Nice" I smiled admiring the pistols. "Thanks, these came in today?"

"Yeah. And you know you're making my job a whole lot difficult now" Dominic said to me.

"What!?" I said in disbelief. "What the hell did I do?".

"You're dating that bastard, that's trying to sabotage all my deals and I can't get rid if him like I'd like to because of you" Dominic said to me. "You're in love with him. Like seriously? His the hell does that even work?"

"How the hell does what work?" I asked.

"You sleeping with the enemy" Dominic said to me.

"He's not the enemy Dominic" I said to him.

"He's not? Are you forgetting that he has the Luciano's listed as his enemies? You even said you say our name and Dad's picture in a file. What do you think that file meant Lexi?" Dominic said to me. "You're a Luciano Lexi that makes you his enemy even if he doesn't know it yet. Are do we need to start questioning where your loyalty lies? I mean you are in love with him".

"What!? Dominic you're talking shit, you already knows my loyalty runs with family and just because I'm with Gio doesn't mean I'm going to sell out my family" I said to him. "You know you can't hold this against me anyway, this is also your fault".

"How is this my fault? Did I made you went ahead and catch feelings for him?" Dominic asked.

"No you're the one who asked me to investigate him. That's how I got close to him in the first place, you think I planned this? I'm stuck in the middle here" I said to him.

"Lexi, I told you from the start that he was potentially involved in another mafia group. It wasn't like this was the first time you investigate someone like that" Dominic replied.

"No, but this time it turns out different. I got involved and emotionally attached this time" I said to him. "Something I haven't done in years, something I had sworn not to let happened again after Raphael".

"Lexi, I don't blame you. Its making things difficult for me right now but I don't blame you" Dominic said to me.

"You don't?" I asked surprised.

"No Lexi. We're all human and we all catch feelings at some point even though we may try to suppressed those feelings and deny it we do. And even though it may seems like I don't have a heart, I still do. And I know what its like to feel for someone" Dominic said to me.

" Hmm. You do?" I said in a 'that's interesting tell me more' tone of voice.

"I'm not saying anything else about this alright? We're talking about you here not me" Dominic said to me. "But what I'm saying is you having feelings for him above all other guys is going to be really hard".

"It doesn't have to be" I said to him.

"What do you mean it doesn't have to be? The guy is our enemy, we're gonna have conflicts, gun fire is gonna arise. How do I deal with that when I have to be trying not to kill him because if I do I hurt you as well, yet he's gonna be trying to kill me and my guys?" Dominic said to me.

"I could just tell him hey Gio don't hurt my brother or shoot his guys okay" I smiled trying to get rid of the tension that had build up here.

"Yeah sure you could, why not? Oh and while you're at it just add 'by the way Gio he's the leader of the Luciano's group and I'm also a Luciano but I'm not your enemy, you now why? Because I'm in love with you'. We'll both just end up with a bullet in our heads no worries there" Dominic said sarcastically.

"Alright that's cruel" I said to him.

"I know. Reality is cruel" Dominic said to me. "Even if I don't kill him I can't promised you that Marc or one of my other guys won't".

"Marc wont and neither will the others you know why? Because you're gonna give them orders than in any case there is any war between y'all, they are to protect themselves but won't kill or severely damaged Cavelli because you want him alive" I said to him.

"No, because you want him alive. I couldn't care less about the guy and if I had my way I'd shoot him right between the eyes but because of you I have to hesitate" Dominic replied. "And did you just gave me an order as well?"

"I believe I did" I responded. "So now could we please stop talking about things like this, its starting to make me uncomfortable"

"Fine I'll stop talking about shooting your boyfriend in the head" Dominic smirked causing me to glare at him.

I was about to answer him when Kathleen entered the living room saving him from my wrath.

"Hey" she smiled when she saw him.

"Kathleen hi" he smiled back at her. "How's it going?"

"Good I guess" Kathleen smiled.

"I got you something, I know you're gonna protest but its not up for discussion you're gonna need it" Dominic said giving her the other smaller case.

"What's this?" Kathleen asked taking it from him.

"Open it" I said to her.

"Uh... I don't- I don't think this is necessary. I don't need this, I'll be fine" Kathleen stuttered nervously after seeing what was inside.

"Like I said its not up for discussion. You need to protect yourself" Dominic stated.

"But I-I don't even know how to shoot" Kathleen said.

"Well nows a perfect time to learn" Dominic said to her. "Lexi knows how she's pretty good at it so she can help you practice until you get it right. There's also a make shift shooting range out back I'm here now so I could start you off".

"Oh yeah. I could definitely be your teacher and by the way, you have a self defense class on weekends. Gio got me a personal trainer at his gym but since I don't need training I'm passing you over to him. What do you say about that?"

"Yeah I guess I'm into that" Kathleen nodded. "You are gonna be coming with me right?"

"Yeah sure"'I said to her.

"Alright so about me teaching you how to shoot?" Dominic said to her.

"Okay fine" Kathleen nodded following him.

I smiled watching them retreat before I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. I pulled it out looking at the caller's ID then sighing.

"Hello" I answered.

"Lexi, you left" Gio said to me. "I thought you'd be waiting four me until I get back"

"I'm at home. I didn't feel like staying there" I said to him.

"Why not? You knew I'd be back" Gio said.

"Gio, I didn't came over to stay at your place just so I could be alone okay. I've waited up for you more than once when you just so happened to run off each time, and you never returned soon enough" I said to him. "I just didn't feel like doing that today so I left".

"And your mad about me running off? Don't you get it? I told you its work stuff that needed my attention, I had to go" Gio said to me.

"That's the thing Gio, I don't get it, what sort of issues do you need to be keep running off randomly just like that? On your days off in the middle of the night? I don't get it" I said to him.

"Lexi I'm sorry I promised I'll make it up to you okay?" Gio replied.

"Yeah. Look Gio I don't really feel like doing this with you right now. I'll talk to you later okay" I said to him.

"Lexi wait, don't..." Gio said to me but I hang up on him.

I know we were both living a lie, we were both lying to each other. Well I wasn't really lying I was just hiding who I really was from him and he was... well he was basically doing the same thing but for some reason I just felt like I was being lied to. Him telling me that he always had work stuff that needed his attention but me knowing that wasn't really true. I was probably being unfair about this whole thing but I just couldn't help it right now.
