"Lexi, would you mind waiting for me outside for a minute?" Gio asked me once the meeting was over. "I'll be out in a second, I need to have a word with few of my guys".

"Yeah, okay" I replied getting up. "I'll just look around I guess".

"I'll only be a few minutes. Don't go too far" Gio said to me.

"Don't worry, I won't go get lost" I said to him smiling.

"I wasn't worried about you getting lost, I'm more worried about you getting into trouble" Gio said to me taking my hand in his.

"I won't, I promise" I said to him as I gave his hand a little assuring squeeze.

"Alright" Gio said before letting go my hand.

I made my way out of the conference room before closing the door behind me then walking to the living room area. The place was really one fit for persons in this type of business. So far why I've seen was the house doesn't seemed to have much color, not that I'd expect it to be all that colorful. The furniture was quite exquisite though, most likely expensive based on the type of wood and other materials they were made of. The only thing that you could say make this house doesn't seemed all ghostly would be the few large paintings that were hang on the walls and a few trophy statues.

"I'm curious to know how you do it" I heard a familiar voice said from behind me as I stood admiring a painting on the wall.

"Oh hi Joe, its so good to see you again" I turned around smiling at him. "Glad to see you up on your feet again".

"I'm glad to be up on them again after someone we know broke them" he said to me.

"Ancient history" I said smirking before refocusing on the painting trying to figure it out.

"How do you do it? You get a guy to fall for you, then you lie and betray him. Shot him, got him so mad at you enough to want to kill you, then for him to suddenly fall right back into your arms? I thought you hated Gio now" Joe asked folding his arms. "I need to know how you get away with such things?"

"I don't know maybe all this gave me a free pass" I joked pointing to my body.

"You're probably right, but that must possessed a strong superpower" Joe said to me.

"Maybe" I chuckled before going serious. " Anyway all that is in the past, and unless you're ready to dig everything up once again its best we leave it at that".

"You know what good luck with whatever game you're up to again this time" he replied.

"Who said its a game?" I asked raising a brow. "Look Joe, as crazy as this may sound and despite all that has happened, I'm in love with your boss okay? And that's the only reason I'm here today, the only reason you're still breathing today. So believe it or not this isn't a game, well not anymore".

"Wow, I didn't..." Joe began before I cut him off.

"Yeah wow. Now that we get that settled maybe you should just go now, go do whatever it is you have to do. I don't really feel all particularly chatty today" I said to him.

"I'll see you around Lexi" was all Joe said before walking off.

"Maybe you will" I replied.

I went over to a statue of a head that stood at one corner of the room. It was strange, it was like it had two faces one at the front and another at the back. It was one that held my attention, I couldn't resist tracing my fingers over it. If I was to interpret what this sculpture means, I'd say it was a representation of the lives we lived as people. We show one face to the world- pit on a front- yet if you look beyond the surface we're living a totally different life, hence the two faces. I have to say it is clearly a representation of my life, if no one else's.

"I have to say I'm surprised, never thought I'd see this day" another voice said to me.

"You" I said after looking up to see who the voice belonged to.

"Si, the last time we saw each other you had a bit of car trouble and Joe and I had to... give you a lift" he said coming up to stand beside me.

"Its Ciro right?" I said turning to face him with a hand on my hip.

"You remembered?" Ciro asked surprised.

"I never forget a face, especially one as repulsive as yours" I scoffed before going back to admire the sculpture.

"The hatred is that bad no?" Ciro asked.

"Hatred is too much of an understatement Ciro, I'd wish to used to stronger word" I said to him.

"What happened was us following orders from the boss, which I quite don't get" Ciro started. "Few months ago, he was bend set on us finding you so that he could destroy you for what you did to him and now here you are today being presented as the girlfriend? What happened there? I don't understand".

"I don't think that's any of your business" I said to him.

"I don't know but I think it is, I mean I was one who he had sent to kidnapped you and brought you to our wareho...." Ciro stated.

"I don't want to talk about that okay... I just love this sculpture" I said to him running my hand over the head of the sculpture. "Its quite exquisite and interesting don't you think? You know how the artist that did this is really creative and all?"

"I never really cared much for the statue, and I've always been busy with more important stuff, so haven't had time to spend examining or admiring a useless piece of sculpture. You know what I mean?" Ciro said to me.

"You know, maybe that's where you went wrong. You should really spend time appreciating the little things around you, that way you could know how much useful they can be" I said before dragging the head forward so that it fall right on top of Ciro's right foot. "Opps"

"Ow F*¢×!" Ciro yelled out in pain as he was too slow to see what I was doing to jump away before it was too late. "Figlio de puttana!"

(Son of a bitch)

"Not quite" I chuckled. "See its not so useless is it? That's for your participation in kidnapping me and duct taping me to that chair. I have to hand it to you, you did a pretty good job with it. You see, since I'm back with Gio and he was the one who made you did all this I've decided to let it go, but everyone who took part in me losing my unborn child got their payback this is yours".

"You little..."

"I don't think Gio would appreciate it much if you finished that sentence. But I think you should probably go check out that foot, you most likely have a broken toe, or three" I smiled at him. "Tell Gio I'm in the car, see around... family".

After winking at him, I smile before leaving him there trying to lift the sculpture off his foot. As I reached the door I passed another one of Gio's men, and for some strange reason I didn't get a good vibe from him. The way he looked at me as we passed each other there was just something about him that didn't made me truth him, just like Snakes. When I reached Gio's car I remembered that the car was locked but instead of going back inside I decided to lean against it as I waited for him to come outside.

"I thought you said you'd stay out of trouble" Gio said once he came out and find me leaning against his car.

"I did and I am, that's why I came out here. So I'd stay out of trouble, which by the way is full in that house" I said to him.

"Ciro is limping in pain, with a possible broken foot" Gio said to me.

"So?" I asked him nonchalantly. "You know why I did that, he was being a nuisance".

"You were getting back at him for aiding in bringing you to the warehouse that day" Gio said to me.

"And do you blame me? Everyone else got a bit of payback, Joe got kidnapped and ended up with two broken legs and a broken nose, Lucas got his car trashed and a broken nose as well so its only fair, that I gave Ciro a broken foot too" I said to him. "That way everyone knows what it felt like to get broken".

"Lexi, I'm sorry I wasn't... Wait you kidnapped Joe and broke him?"

"I'm not saying anything else" I said to him. "And you're just lucky I haven't broken anything on you...yet?"

"And what did you have in mind to break?" Gio asked amused before pressing the car key fob unlocking the doors.

"I think we both know what I may break" I said to him before opening the car door and getting in.

**** "Oh that tickles" I giggled as Gio kept trailing kisses up the side if my neck and brushing the tip of his nose up it as well.

"Let's see if you're ticklish on the other side as well" Gio chuckled before attacking the other side causing me to started laughing again.

"I am. Now stop" I said giggling like a teen girl. "No, Gio seriously I need to ask you something".

"What is it?" Gio asked even though he didn't move from my neck but proceeded to suck gently on one area.

"What do... Do you..." I tried forming a proper question but could hardly think straight with him doing that.

"Do I what?" Gio asked before leaving the area on my neck and placing his lips on mine.

Instantly I started responding to his kiss as our lips moved together but pulled back remembering I had to ask him this before I forget. After Gio and I had left the 'men's house' as I was referring to it as, we hang out the entire day but instead of going back home tonight I just didn't feel like leaving. And I know Gio didn't want me to leave either so we had went to his house instead of his penthouse suite. We just needed to be somewhere where we could be all alone and hoping for no interruptions but I really need to asked him what he knew about the Glendocks and his possibly involvement with them and messing with Dominic.

"I really do have to ask you something" I said to him.

"What it is?" Gio asked propping himself up on his elbow.

"What do you know about the Glendocks?" I asked him watching his expression.

"The what?" Gio asked confused. "Is that a band or something?"

"I thought so too...You seriously don't know?" I asked sitting up.

"Know what? What is this Glendocks?" Gio asked concerned sitting up as well.

"The Glendocks is supposedly some small scale street gang but somehow it seems they want to try get in bigger operations. They've tried hitting on Dominic's shipments earlier this week" I said to him.

"And you thought that I had something to do with it why?" Gio asked. "Non ho tempo di essere farsi coinvolgere con bande piccoli bassi di classe".

"What?" I asked not understanding a word of his Italian.

"Lexi, I don't have time to be getting involved with petty low class gangs" Gio said to me. "And I'm not targeting your brother or his group".

"Gio what do you know about Snakes? Does he always try to talk back or go against things you say or do like he did today?" I asked.

"Snakes is usually that guy that does what he's told and doesn't really talk much but I've noticed he's stepped out of his shell a few months ago, started speaking out more" Gio said to me. "Why are you asking me about all this and snakes?"

"Its nothing" I said to him, "Just that today he seemed really set on defying you".

"He stepped out if line but I made sure he won't be acting like that again. Had a talk with him to put him back in his place" Gio said to me.

"Oh" I said biting my lip.

"What?" Gio asked.

"Nothing, its just that Dominic... You know what never mind" I said to him. "Let's not talk about this now".

"No, it seems you have something you want to tell me so go ahead" Gio said to me.

"Its nothing okay, trust me" I smiled before straddling him and wrapping my arms around his neck. "Let's just focus on you and me right now".

I want to tell Gio that he has a traitor hiding in plain site in his 'family' but I don't think its best right now. According to Dominic, there are two of them that they recognized from Gio's group- that were with the Glendocks guys. If I tell Gio now about Snakes, he would most definitely put a bullet through his skull and then he may not even get to find out who the other traitor or traitors are. I need to find out more before mentioning anything more to Gio.

I wrote this chapter half sleeping, so if its loaded with errors please see with me. I just wanted to give you guys a quick update so here it goes. Hope you like it. Don't forget to vote and comment.

Do you think Lexi should come clean about what she knows instead of playing detective herself?

Do you think Snakes was the traitor all along from the beginning?
