It has been a week since that horrible dinner incident. I was slowly getting over being mad at Gio for the chaos that happened. Dad was being a bit weird with me even though he said he wasn't when I confronted him a about it and that if I was alright with Gio then he'd have to accept it. I haven't really talked to Dominic much since and I only saw him once after and that was last week when he had came to help Kathleen move her stuff to his place. The only thing I had gotten from him was "hey" and "we're leaving now". So I think we might still have a little awkward tension between us.

I really missed Kathleen since I'd gotten so use to her being here with us for a while now. She did however promised to visit every now and then and ask if it was alright if wed still keep her room in case she felt like coming to spend a night here. Mom was the same with me after everything not that I was surprised though, she was always the more lenient and easier to understand one. She said she's happy for me if I'm sure that Gio is who I want and that I shouldn't worry as the others will come around. Emilia was still staying with me even though I think she is going to be flying back to Italy for a while again in the next few weeks. It was more obvious now that she had a crush on Marc. He had stopped by again and Emilia literally take over Marc in a different conversation, Marc also seem to find her amusing as well even though he claimed she may be a bit too young for him.

Gio and his guys still haven't been able to locate Snakes despite searching every where they believe to be an hideout. They had even managed to get Julian to spill everything about his and Snakes escapades and even on the Glendocks gang in hopes to save his life. Gio's men had raid and wipe out the few Glendocks members and hounded them for information about Snakes but no one knew anything about his where about's. Since the guys no longer have any use to Gio, they dispose of them. I could only imagine the scene, since the gang apparently had about 21 persons. I can't believe Snakes was that dumb to want to cross Gio like that knowing what they were apart of or who his boss was. I guess he just didn't believe they would have gotten caught or found out this early since he was still in the process of recruiting and building. It would be best if he kept hiding well for the rest of his life or just kill himself, it'd be way easier and much less painful than if Gio's or any of the other Cavelli's men were to catch him, especially now since he had fled.

"So are you talking back to Gio now again then?" Emilia asked me as we were by the poolside.

"I was never not talking to him" I said to her.

"I mean are you talking to him better now? Are you done being mad at him?" Emilia rephrased.

"I guess you could say so" I replied. "It's been a whole week now, I can't exactly stay mad at him forever. Even though I like to think I can".

" I know its probably not my place to say, and I'm not just saying this because he's my brother but he wasn't exactly wrong you know" she said. "I think it is best now that your family know you guys were back together and about who I really am. Now no one has to pretend".

" I know, you're totally right " I said to him. "Its just that keeping this a secret seems much safer for a while there, I had gotten comfortable with it".

" Well my father always said too much secret are what destroys us most of the time" Emilia said to me.

"You're father is right about that, he sounds like a wise man" I said to her.

"Yeah" Emilia nodded.

"What is he like?" I asked curiously.

"Pretty much like Gio, serious, over protective. Likes being in control and having things run his way and a bit scary at times" Emilia replied. "Your dad sometimes remind me of him".

"Oh, I think now have the perfect idea of what papa Cavelli is like" I nodded.

"Si, papa Cavelli is the big boss" Emilia chuckled.

"We should probably go inside now or something unless we want to look like lobsters" I said to her. The sun was really hot this evening.

"Can I ask you something?" Emilia asked looking up from her phone.

I was making pizza, or at least trying and she was supposed to be helping me instead she was sitting down playing on her phone.

"Sure what"? I said as I sprinkled the parmesan cheese over the pizza dough.

" How long should you wait after texting a guy before starting to worry if he's going to reply?" Emilia asked.

"I don't know, I don't think I've ever had that issue before. Haven't you texted a guy before?" I said to her putting some mozzarella on as well. "Who are you texting by the way?"

"I've texted guys before but never an older guy especially a much older guy" Emilia replied. "I've texted Marc a few minutes ago but..."

"Marc? Em, come on I told you he's off limits. He's not the type of guy you should be pursuing" I said to her.

"Why? Because he's a couple years older and apart of a mafia?" Emilia asked. "Isn't it the same with you and Gio? And I'm also from a mafia family so what? I am aware of those things"

"He's basically from the other side, someone your brother despises" I tried to reason.

"And yet you're dating Gio. Its the same situation here, your brother hates him but still you date him, and they had to accept it" Emilia said to me. "So I don't see what the problem is with me liking Marc. Its not like we're even hooking up or anything, I just want to know if he'd ever like me that way too".

" You know what, you're right " I said to her. "You're free to like whoever you want besides Marc isn't an asshole. It shouldn't be an issue if things should go any further with you guys, I mean you are an adult. Although I don't think Gio would agree bit guess you'll have to just remind him of our situation if it comes to that".

"That's probably the best thing you've ever said to me" Emilia said feigning shock which cause me to roll my eyes at her. "Gio, would just have to deal with it".

" Yeah" I nodded before placing the pizza in the oven and wiping my hands on the apron I had on. "Speaking of Gio, I'm going to be kicking you out my room and into Kathleen's old room tonight. Since everyone already knows we're dating again, I invited him over tonight and so we need our privacy. Which means you have to go".

" Right, no kidding " Emilia said before a disgusting look formed on her face. "I most definitely do not want to see you two doing the dirty".

" Shut up" I said throwing a dish towel at her. "I doubt we'll be doing anything knowing you or my parents will be in the house".

" Well that's more comforting... Oh Marc just replied?" Emilia squealed.

"Wow, you're loud" I said covering my ears from her squealing.

"Sorry, I just got excited" Emilia replied. "I'd go squeal somewhere else but I have to help you make that pizza".

" You weren't helping me anyway, I did everything by myself and besides it's already in the oven" I said to her.

"Are you serious?" Emilia asked looking at the counter before her before starting to laugh. "Sorry, I didn't even realized".

"Yeah whatever" I said shaking my head as I went to return the ingredients I had used and clean up the counter.

*** "We should probably stop if you don't want this to go any further" Gio said as he pulled back from my lips.

We were in my bed making out for a while now and things were obviously getting pretty heated as Gio's hand were now roaming all over my body and he had starting kissing my neck and all, but I had told him I didn't want us to do anything with my parents under the same roof and Emilia in a room close by.

"I know but just a few more minutes" I said pulling his head back to me and claiming his lips.

"A few more minutes and I may not be able to control myself anymore" Gio said pulling back.

"Alright fine" I breathe sitting up and reaching for a hair tie on my night table and started catching my hair up in a messy bun. "What do you want to do then?"

"You know what I want to do but unfortunately we can't, so we might as talk or play a game or something" Gio said to me as he fold his arms behind his head.

"Play a game?" I chuckled. "Giovanni Cavelli is suggesting we play a game? That's weird and random"

"What's so weird about that? I'm human too I can want to play a game with my woman" Gio said defensively.

"Alright don't get all defensive on me" I chuckled leaning over to open the bedside table drawer. "I think I may have had some cards or something in here, if your interested".

" If you're ready to get beaten then bring out the cards, I'm definitely interested " Gio chuckled.

As I opened the drawer the envelope I kept with the pictures of the baby from the ultrasound- was the first thing I saw. My hand pause on it as I hit my lip contemplating where or not I should show Gio.

"Is everything alright over there? Did the cards hide or are you scared to get beaten?" Gio chuckled.

"Everything is fine" I said to him.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Gio asked noticing the change in my voice and leaning over to see what was wrong.

"I think I have something to show you" I said to him taking out the envelope from the drawer and sitting up.

"What is it?" Gio asked concerned sitting up with me as well.

"This" I said handing him the envelope.

Gio looked at me confused as he took the envelope from me and opened it. The minute he had pulled out the pictures and realized what they were, a million expression crossed his face before making them again.

"This was..." Gio started but I finished for him.

"The baby. Yeah" I nodded. "I kept them"

"Baby, I had no idea" Gio said to me. "I'm really sorry, every single day that..."

"I didn't show them to you to make you feel guilty or anything" I said to him. "I just thought since I had the opportunity to see this and all you should too even if..."

"I'm glad you did" Gio said to me. "Come here".

I scooted over more to him and curled up in his side as Gio place his arm over me and pulling me closer.

" I told you this a million times before, I'm really sorry" Gio said to me. "I know that doesn't make things better or can't change what happened but I want you to know how sorry I am. I never meant for any of this to happened and I know nothing that I'll ever say can make things right but I need you to know that anything like this will never happen again and if I have to, I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make it up to you".

" Gio, as hard as it was, I have forgave you" I said turning to look up in his eyes. "And I love you"

"I love you more, more than anything else in this world" Gio said as he raised my chin up and placing a kiss on my lips.

I immediately responded to his kiss instead of breaking it and slow move over so I could straddle his waist. When we pulled back I pulled the thin short night gown I was wearing over my head.

"I thought you said you didn't want to do anything with your parents and Emilia here" Gio said to me.

"They won't know anything if we be quiet" I said to him.

"I thought we were going to play cards" Gio said trying to see if I'll change my mind.

"Gio, I don't wanna play cards" I said to him before leaning to kiss him.

*** Today was a Monday and extremely busy today. From morning I hadn't had a chance to eat a proper meal due to how busy I was, so Emilia had went and gotten both of us lunch which I was thankful for. I decided to take a break and have a bite before I passed out from hunger. After finished eating I got up and decided to go empty the trash since my bin was even already fill with mostly waste papers.

"I'm gonna go empty this, I'll be right back" I said to Emilia as I got up taking the small dust bin and my phone.

I went through a side door which lead to the outside at the back where the huge dumpsters were. After emptying out the trash I took out my phone from my pocket and decided to ring Dominic.

"Lexi what do you want now? I'm kind of busy" Dominic answered.

"Seriously?" I said in disbelief.

"Is this something important? Can't it wait?" Dominic asked.

"No it can't" I said to him. "And I hardly believe that you're in fact that busy that you can't afford to talk to me for five minutes. You've been cold and avoiding me ever since the dinner and you found out about Gio".

"Look Lexi, I am indeed a bit busy right now. And you're right about me being cold ever since the dinner" Dominic replied. "But what do you want me to do when..."

I felt like someone was watching me and I heard footsteps from behind me so I quickly turned around only to come face to face with one missing culprit.

"Snakes" I said.

"Lexi what...?" I heard Dominic started on the other end.

Before I could reply react or do anything else a sharp pain was felt across my head as I was being struck with an object. I fell to the floor trying to hold on to consciousness but couldn't as everything started getting dark and I had no choice than to allow unconsciousness to take over.
