Two months of planning for a wedding is an actual short period but for some reason it seems like forever and was more stressing than I've realized. We had settled the venue first thing, since both families dealt with hotels and other business management we debated a while on which exact hotel to have the wedding and reception and then settled on having it at Gio's main hotel Fantastica. So with the wedding being held there, the catering and arrangements would already be taken care of. We had come to the agreement that we wouldn't use a wedding planner which was probably a mistake on my path since its been really stressing. I had asked mom, Emilia and Kathleen to help in being my wedding planners. We tried taking care of all the major aspects first, so my dress was already in making, probably almost finished by now. It was a hell to chose a specific design so the designer could make, I was extremely picky until I just said you know what screw it, just make sure it fits and looks good. It wasn't like I'd be wearing it again. The food choices would already be covered by the staff at the hotel and even some from Gio's and my restaurants but we had to go out to one of the best wedding cake bakers for choosing cakes and tasting last week. What started out as a very nice and excited moment turned sour the minute I had reached home. From tasting so many different cakes, I ended up with a bad headache from consuming too much sweet and a slight stomach ache. However the process was funny, Gio and I could not decide on one specific cake that we liked, there was just too many options to choose from. First he said that anything I chose would be perfect and he'd like it, but then after a few more cake tasting he liked a different one from what I liked. He wanted me to have the opportunity to chose the cake so he was like 'babe which one do you want? You can choose the one you want'. I thought it would be unfair to chose something I liked more when he liked another one, so I just decided to get three different kinds- the one I think I liked best, the one he liked best and the third one was a Lemon zest marble like cake that we both liked.

I had already gotten the invitations printed and sent out to all prospective guests. I had also choose my maid of honour, my bridesmaids, and the color I wanted them to wear. It may seem a bit too dark for a wedding but that was the color I wanted- as I had told Gio before I wanted my bridesmaids to wear black and red. Their dresses were already made as well, they'd just have to continue maintaining their figures for the next couple weeks so that they'd still be able to fit in their dresses. I had asked Kathleen to be my maid of honour, Emilia, Khadja and Amoya to be my bridesmaids. I didn't quite know who else Gio has on his side of the bridal party, the minute he told me not to get mad but Lucas would be his best man, I told him to chose whoever else he wanted and not to tell me. The entire bridal party and guest would most likely be filled with mafia members from both families anyway so I won't be surprise if Gio's groomsmen were all from his mafia family. He had however informed me that he does have a few other family members that I hadn't met before, including his dad flying here from Italy for the wedding. I was looking forward to meeting them.

I wanted Emily to be my little flowers girl, which is why Leon and I had met up for lunch and chat earlier today. He was surprised to find out that I was getting married. Our conversation wasn't all that awkward which I was thankful for.

"Wow, you're getting married? Congratulations" Leon said surprised.

"Thank you" I smiled at him. "Sorry, I hadn't mentioned it earlier".

" Its okay. I'm not offended that you didn't " Leon replied. "It is a bit of a surprise though. I mean a couple months ago I was asking you out on a date and now you're inviting me to your wedding".

" I hope, this isn't awkward for you " I said sheepishly.

"No, not at all. I've realized and accepted the fact that you and I aren't going to be more than friends and besides we're better off as friends any way" Leon replied. "No need to stress".

" Thank God" I chuckled. "I'm sorry if it seems a bit too sudden since its only a few more weeks, but I really hope you could come".

"Lexi, no matters how sudden it is, I'll be there okay" Leon smiled.

"I'm glad to know that" I smiled back at him. "Now, about Emily being my flowers girl? What do you say?"

"I'll have to ask her how she feels about it, if she says yes then she can definitely be your flowers girl" Leon responded.

"Great, you'd have to contact me so we could get her dress sorted out if she says yes" I told him excitedly.

"You want to try a bite?" Gio asked lifting his fork with the shrimp on it to my face.

"I may stab you in the eye with that fork" I said to him. "Get that away from me".

" What? I saw you eyeing my plate so I thought you wanted to try it " Gio said innocently as he pulled back the fork.

"Yeah, I'd so want to try it because I am really eager to break out in hives and swell up like a blowfish" I said sarcastically.

"Oh right, allergy" Gio said in realization. "Sorry babe, I forgot"

"You forgot?" I said in disbelief. "Seriously? How do you forget something like that? If you forgot that means it's the same way you could have fed it to me and kill me".

"Baby you're exaggerating, I said I'm sorry. It just slipped me" Gio replied.

"I'm exaggerating? I'm allergic to shellfish, you know that yet you just try to shove your shrimp down my throat" I said in annoyance. "Do you seriously want to kill me that much? What else have you forgotten about me?"

"Alright, now you're definitely exaggerating. It was just a one time momentary slip. I remember every other time don't I?" Gio replied. "And I know everything else there is to know about you".

" I'm not exaggerating Gio. Your momentary slip up could've just kill me " I said with frustration.

"It's your time of the month isn't it?" Gio said to me.

"What does that have to do with anything!?"

"You're having serious mood swings and it's killing me" Gio said wiping his mouth with the napkin. "Come on we're going somewhere"

"Where are we going?" I asked as Gio stood up and took my hand pulling me up from the seat.

"Somewhere you can handle and deal with all those mood swing" Gio replied.

*** Giovanni's POV

Based on the different and quick change of moods Lexi has been having with me this morning it was clear she was pmsing or it was actually her time of the month. It was a rare case where she would have these types of mood swings at this time of the month, but whenever she does allow the mood swings to take over I'm usually at the receiving end of her wrath.

For example me forgetting about her allergy to shellfish. It was the first time I actually forgotten about it, talk about memory fail at the wrong time. I was even realizing that what I was eating was shellfish, I saw her eyeing my plate with shrimps so I thought she wanted to try it, it never occur to me what I was doing wrong until after. So I brought her somewhere I know she'd blow of some steam and get rid of the pissy mood. I brought her to my shooting range after stopping on the way here and buying some comfort food. Even though Lexi wanted to shoot me instead of the targets at first, it seems as if she had now gotten over the upset mood swing, well at least for now.

"Merda" I comment once I saw the last target that Lexi had just been firing at.

(Shit)

The target had bullet holes at all the instant kill spots. I have to admit it, this woman was good, she's definitely not one to be messed with. There was a bullet hole right in the center of the forehead of the targlet, then one to the heart another to the center of the neck. If this were a person, no doubt that he would've been dead within seconds.

"I never thought I'd held a gun again after I had gotten shot" Lexi said turning to me.

"But you did. It would be such a shame to not touch a gun again considering you're this good at firing" I said to her.

"Yeah, I guess my aim has gotten better" Lexi replied before smiling cockily. "Maybe even better than yours".

" Yeah Right, keeping dreaming baby" I said to her.

"It's called denial Gio" Lexi chuckled.

"You know what? You're right. You're a better shooter than I am" I decided to humor her.

"You got that right" Lexi smile as she closed the gap between us and throwing her arms around my neck before placing her lips to mine.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and returned the kiss. You see what I was saying about mood swings? First she couldn't stand me, and wanted to stab me in the eye and shoot me earlier and now she was glad to kiss my face off.

"You know, I forgot to ask earlier. Where's Em?" I asked once we pulled back.

"I believe she went out with Ma..." Lexi stopped as if realizing she must have almost gave away some secret of the sort.

"With who Lexi?" I urged her to continue.

It was obvious that Lexi knew something about Em that I apparently wasn't to know, it most likely must have something to do a guy.

"She went out Gio" Lexi replied. I raised a brow telling her to go on but she wasn't budging. "That's all I'm saying"
