A/N: Ok so, what happened was. There was this family of strays living in front of my house. A mama cat and her six babies. I was counting the number of kittens, making sure that they were all there when I found out that one was missing. I looked around, found her under some chairs, got her out, and she started to have a seizure. That freaked me out real bad. My dad called the vet and we gave her some syrup which didn't really. So, on Saturday we took her to the vet to get her checked out, and she had a seizure there, and the vet said that it would be best if I placed her down. I disagreed and said I would give her the weekend and give her medication. She had a couple of more seizures on Saturday and then two early Sunday morning. After that, she did not have anymore. We took her to the vet on Tuesday after Labor Day for a recheck and decided to keep her. On Thursday, we took her to the vet and she got her first shot and I can stop one of the medications. She is doing just fine and is healthy and happy. (My older cat, Kensie, hates her. Topher doesn't care.) I swear to god that the kitten is a spaz.

Anyways, her name is Musichetta and she will be going to the vet again in 3 wks for another shot and to see if we can't start cutting back on the other medication. (The vet asked if I wanted to do it Thursday, and I was like ermmmm I want to wait a couple of more weeks.) If ya'll want to see a picture of her, you can see it in my book called 'Look Through My Eyes' Chapter 28 part 2.

Anyways onto the chapter. Peace out Fluffy Munchkins

~Rissa

Update on the cat: My kitten is actually a he, not a she. His name is still Musichetta, but I call him Muse or Moosie (my dad and sibling calls him Mooch.) He'll be three years old in August 2020, and he is off all medication.

I stood by my mate's side when he pulled into the drive. My whole body grew tense as my Wolf grew restless, watching as the man stepped out of the SUV that had my life a living nightmare. I grabbed Drake's hand and glanced at him when he squeezed my hand. I felt sort of comfort that he was beside me, but that didn't stop the restlessness that my Beast brought me.

"Alpha Drake," Nathaniel said, walking over to us. He held his arms open in a "welcome" fashion, causing my mate to tense. "How are you?" He smiled a smile that sent shivers down my spine, and again, I was reminded of the monster that tried to control my life.

"Iam good, thank you," Drake said, warning in his tone. He squeezed my hand, and I knew that he was really regretting having Nathaniel to stay here. "How are you?"

"Good, good," Alpha Nathaniel said. "Even better, because I am here." Again, he looked around with pride and arrogance, causing Drake to growl softly. His gaze turned towards me, and a smile/sneer appeared on his face. "Oh, and who is this?" he asked, looking me up and down, lust shining in his gray eyes.

The back of my neck stood up as Payton growled. I stood up taller and nudged Drake to the side when he tried to take a step in front of me. "Skylar," I replied, my voice void of emotion. I kept my face blank and steadied my heartbeat, making sure that he couldn't tell that I was nervous. "Skylar Ross."

A look of recognition flickered onto his face before it left, leaving me to wonder if he knew me or not. He nodded his head as if agreeing with his Wolf. "Such a beautiful thing," he said. He looked me up and down, again, making me feel slightly uncomfortable before turning his gaze to my mate. "I would watch out for her," he said, jabbing his finger at me. "I don't think you would like her getting hurt."

I snorted and rolled my eyes at the underlying threat. I wasn't surprised nor was I amused at the fact that he was threatening me. "I can take care of myself, Alpha," I said, coldly. "I was a Rogue."

Nathaniel raised an eyebrow but didn't comment when two people got out of the car and stood beside him. Four more got out after them and stood behind him, but he didn't seem to care. "Oh," he said, raising his eyebrows. He gestured to the female, a pretty blonde, beside him. "This is Valerie," he said, "my mare." He gestured to the young blonde beside him. "This is my Alpha Chosen, Virgel. I am sorry that they haven't been to any of the parties you had hosted. After the death of my true mate and daughter..." He shook his head and blinked back fake tears. "I can't let them out of the pack."

I bit back a scoff, because I knew that he was implying that Rogues killed us. What he didn't know was that I was still alive and waiting to get my revenge on him.

Drake nodded his head, also, biting back a scoff. He squeezed my hand again, and I could tell that he was bringing himself comfort, letting himself know that I was alive. "My sincere apologies, Alpha," he said. He glanced at the Beta couple who had been staring at me for some time. "And, I am sorry about your daughter as well. I can not imagine what you are going through."

The Beta Male nodded his head, turning his gaze to my mate. "Thank you for your apology, Alpha. I wished you could have meet her. She was a beautiful soul." He took his mate in his arms as she sobbed, and it pained my heart that they will not be able to see her for some time.

"Well then," Drake said. "Why don't we get you all settled in. If you follow me, I will be showing you where you are staying. My doctors and nurses will help those that need to go to the hospital." He kissed my forehead and started to walk inside the house.

I stayed outside and watched as my "step-mother", ex-father, and half brother follow through. I started to walk down the steps and "ran" into the Beta Male. "Oh, I am so sorry," I said, putting one hand to steady him and the other slipping a piece of paper into his pocket. "I didn't mean to run into you."

The Beta Male, Joel, gave me a weary smile and nodded his head. Recognition filled his eyes, and I could tell that he wanted to call on me. "It is fine," he said. "Just be careful." He gave me a look, letting me know that he had a double meaning for that message. "We do not want you to get hurt."

I nodded my head and started to walk towards my pack. A smirk appeared on my face because I knew that they were going to have some hope.

They were going to have some hope because on that piece of paper, I wrote 'she's alive'.

There was a knock on my pack door, causing me to stop me from pacing and stare at it. My whole body grew tense, and for the first time in ages, I felt fear. I had no idea who was at the door, and I couldn't help but wonder if I had been found out by the man that I had called my father.

Again, there was a knock on the door, this time being more urgent than the last.

Toby walked into the living room and caught me staring at the door. Worry filled his eyes, because I could tell that he knew that I was afraid. "Do you want me to get it?" he asked after there was another knock.

I took a deep breath and pulled myself from my stupor. I made sure that my face was blank and made sure that no one could tell that I was afraid. "No," I said, taking a step forward and towards the door. "But, I do want you to make sure that I don't kill anyone."

He nodded his head and sat on the couch, watching as I opened the door. He didn't move when I was pulled into a hug but did tense.

I stiffened and cleared my throat, not used to be being hug.

"Kathy," the Beta Male, Joel, said, putting his hand on his mate's shoulder. His voice cracked, and I knew that he was happy that I was alive, even with the shit that Nathaniel had placed me through. "Let her go."

"My baby," she sobbed, letting me go and clutching onto him. Her body shook from the sobs, and it nearly killed me on the inside. "Where is she? Please, tell me that she is alive."

I took a deep breath and moved out of the way for the Beta, his mate, my aunt, and my uncle to file in. After I made sure that there wasn't anyone else outside, I closed the door and lead them to the couches. "Sit," I grunted before I leaned on the seat that Toby had taken residence.

They complied, glancing between me and Toby.

"Well?" Joel asked. Worry and fear filled his eyes. "Is she alright? Is she here?"

I but back a sigh, guilt gnawing at my chest and shook my head. "She is alive, but she is not here," I said, finally, causing Kathy to wail a little louder. "She is in a safe pack, and I am still checking up on her. I do not want her here. I do not want her to see him."

Joel shushed his mate and nodded his head in understanding. "I am sure that it is hard on you for her not being close," he said, causing me to nod my head.

"What about our son," my aunt, Sonny, asked. Worry and relief filled her eyes, and I was sure that she was happy that I was alive. She and her mate had tried to help Katie and I out, but when Nathaniel started to suspect them for helping me, I had to flat out order them not to help.

"He-"

"Mom? Dad?"
