Thomas walked into the room with Snitch and Maddie, Snitch at his side and Maddie in his arms. Shock filled his eyes as he took in his parents appearance before looking at me. Anger filled his eyes, and I could tell that he did not want anything to do with them. He blamed them for my father hurting me and not doing anything to stop it, and he wanted them to pay.
"Thomas," my aunt whispered, shock and relief filling her voice because her son was alive. She was about to stand but stopped when Thomas glared at her. She gulped and backed into her mate, causing my uncle to stiffen. Her face was pale, and I could see that that there was heartbreak, and it didn't sit well with me.
"Why didn't you help her?" he asked, gnashing his teeth at them. He growled, and I could tell that he was trying his hardest not to let his wolf attack them. "Why didn't you help your niece?"
"Because," I said, causing Thomas to look at me. I scowled when he glared at me, causing him to look down. "I ordered them not to," I replied, coldly.
"And wh-"
"Because, you did not need to go through that," I replied, baring my teeth at him. I growled and moved a hand through my hair, furrowing my brows. "I tried to get Katie to stop what she was doing, but she kept being persistent and ended up being caught."
"I-"
"HE WOULD HAVE KILLED YOU," I boomed, causing him to flinch and Maddi to whimper in fright and hide her face in Thomas's shoulder. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, curbing my anger. "Sorry," I muttered, looking away. "He could have killed you, threatened to kill you even."
"How would you know?" Thomas asked. "He could have been bluffing."
"You heard," my uncle said, causing me to nod my head. "Why didn't you say..?"
I looked at him before looking away. I closed my eyes, trying to fight back the memory that my mind had pulled up. "It could've gotten you hurt," I replied. "I wasn't supposed to hear it."
My uncle, Noah, frowned and nodded his head. He studied me, and I knew that he was trying to read me. He was trying to decipher my cold manner and find the young girl that he had once known. "You stopped me from trying to take the Alpha position. Why?"
I studied him, and I could tell that he all ready knew the reason. I didn't know how he knew, but I knew that he knew. I was grateful that he didn't really figure out that I knew, but I knew that I was going to have to tell them. I was going to have to tell them about the powers that I held. "You already know. How?"
Uncle Noah leaned back in his seat, feigning ignorance. "I don't know what you are talking about," he said, lying.
Thomas seemed to catch my drift. He furrowed his brows and cocked his head, studying me. "Are you..?"
I nodded my head. "I can feel if," I replied. I had no idea which God made him his successor, but I had a feeling that Jerecho would know or would be able to find out. I did not know why I just felt it, but I was sure that it might because I hadn't been "in tuned" with my powers when I was younger.
Snitch, catching what we were talking about, frowned. "Then, is that the reason as to why she was ok with your... apprenticeship?" he asked, causing me to shrug.
Uncle Noah leaned forward and looked at us weirdly. "Apprenticeship?" he asked, confused. "What apprenticeship?" There was something in his voice, and I was sure that he didn't like me hiding stuff from him.
"Apprenticeship with me," Jerecho said, appearing in the living room with Collin by his side. He stared at my uncle, and I could tell that for a minute, he thought he was my father. The room grew colder as he grew angrier. "She has an apprenticeship with me, and you are not welcomed here."

Uncle Noah opened his mouth to object but stopped when I cleared my throat. He narrowed his eyes at me, and I could tell that he didn't disagree. He had seen whatever had happened with my father and didn't like it that I was in league with a "God".
"Should I tell him that he is my uncle?" I mused, glancing at my cousin. I felt Jerecho's gaze on me, causing me to shrug. "I mean, he is nothing like that bastard."
"Except for the arrogance," Thomas replied. He shifted Maddi in his arms, causing Uncle Noah to look at her. "But, I think that that happens with all Alpha Males."
"And, I could've told you that it was him or not," Collin said, shrugging his shoulder. He cleared his throat when I gave him a weird look. "What? I wanted to make sure that that he wasn't close to you or anything. He did... taste off."
"And now you tell me," I muttered. I nodded to Snitch and Maddi. "They are not "biologically" our kids," I said, causing my uncle to look at me. "They are Mathew, or Snitch as we call him, and Maddi. We... rescued them from a pack that had been treating Maddi... like me."
Uncle Noah nodded his head, guilt shining in his eyes. He cleared his throat and moved closer to his mate, putting a hand on hers. "And they?" he asked, nodding towards Jerecho and Collin.
"Jerecho and Collin. They are... acquaintances," I replied.
"More like friends," Collin said. He smirked at me, causing me to scowl. "Sky just doesn't like to admit it."
"How did you meet them?" the Beta asked.
"I stole from one and had sex with the other," I replied, stuffing my hands in my pocket and shrugged my shoulder. "I stopped both because I do not think I need to do it anymore."
"Yes, because your mate does care about you," Jerecho said. He scowled, and I could tell that he still didn't like Benjamin. "I care about your niece and daughter like my own," Jerecho added, looking at both my uncle and the pack Beta. "I have had to work hard to gain Sky's trust, and I do not plan on using it."
"If you are a God, do you think that you can help us with something?" Uncle Noah asked after a moment's pause. He shifted in his seat and glanced at me before looking back at Jereho. "I think he sold his soul to one of you."
