I ran as fast as my legs could carry me, hearing the sounds of two pounding feet behind me. A smirk appeared on my face, because I knew that my mate and his friend were chasing me. It didn't take him long to figure out that I had stolen his wallet nor track me down.
However, I've been running in heels for a while, so I was still able to outrun them. And, I knew all the back ways that would lead me back to my base.
"Get back here thief!" my mate yelled trying to catch up with me.
"I have a name, jackass," I replied. "And it's not thief." I jumped and slid over a car before jumping onto another one. I jumped up and grabbed hold of the ladder before starting to climb it. I was glad about my smaller frame and not as bulky as the males, because I knew that they would've been able to catch me going up the ladder.
"I will kill you, Slut!" my "mate" exclaimed.
"Gee that's a nice thought," I replied. I couldn't help but feel slightly hurt that he would kill me, but I knew that if Jerecho, my God friend, caught wind of me actually getting hurt, I was sure that he would try to be the hero and save the day.
I grunted when I landed on my feet wrong and stumbled a few feet forward. "Stupid heels!" I exclaimed before running across the rooftops. I could hear them cursing and stuff being thrown around while they chased me, but I couldn't decide how close they were by the fact they were making too much noise.
However, it didn't matter because my stop came up with a dingy looking, rundown warehouse with a couple of the floors caving in and most of the roof caving in. Thanks to Jerecho, the building wasn't going to topple on us any time soon, but I was sure that it would fall after we were out.
I jumped through the hole on the roof and went down the normal way that I usually took. This consisted of a couple of light fixtures being my bars as well as a pole in the middle being my fast way down.
At the last possible moment, I let go the pole and did a backflip, landing on my feet and striking a pose. I didn't know if anyone saw me, but I could really care less. It was the moments like these that I could enjoy in my unejoyable life with the fact that I had to run around helping the "runts" of the pack.
Don't get me wrong, I loved doing what I did. No one should go through what I had to do of becoming the pack's punching bag. I knew that the Queen of the Werewolves had set up a law, but I also knew that she was having trouble enforcing it. That was why I did what I did. I wanted people to fear me and become someone that others could look up to.
"Show off," a deep voice teased, breaking me from my thoughts.
I turned around to see a familiar male with green eyes and black, bushy hair looking at me. There was a devilish smirk on his face which caused me to roll my eyes at the 6'5 male. "Ya, whatever," I replied. "Everyone else here?" I frowned when his face turned into a grimace. "Thomas Gresham," I scowled, knowing that the was hiding something from me.
"Well..."
"Thomas."
"Katieisn'there," he said, quickly. He caught my annoyed look and sighed. "Katie isn't here," he said this time slower.
I blinked and frowned. "And why isn't Katie here?" I asked with a small hiss. My jaw ticked, and I couldn't help but worry about what Katie had gotten into. I just hoped that she didn't do what I thought she did.
"You had gotten a call..."
I groaned and moved a hand through my hair. "Damn it," I cursed. "I'll deal with her later. Please tell me that she had at least taken one of those pills that lasts six months."
Thomas nodded. "Jerecho called, also, to let you know to not take two in a six month period. Says that there could be some bad side effects."
"Did you tell him that it wasn't me?" I asked, causing him to nod. "Ok, call everyone and tell them that food is here." I took out one of the muffins and tossed it to him before taking the pouch and tossing that to him as well. "Also, two guests should be popping in at anytime, so make sure that the door is open. I don't want this building to fall apart." With that, I started to go to the area where we showered.
"Who is it? And the shower is running on cold," Tommy said.
I looked back at him and smirked, trying to hide the fact that I was annoyed because I would be taking a cold shower. "My mate and Beta. Figure out which one is which." With that, I left the room and into the wash room, wondering what my mate would say when he saw the others.
I just hoped that he wouldn't try to kill me.
'And if he did, we will kill him first,' my Wolf growled.
I couldn't agree more.
