"You're back," someone said, coming through the front door. The scent of the person made my body relax, because I could tell that my mate was safe. "Thank Goddess, I was getting worried that something bad had happened to you."
I turned around to see Drake and the rest of the group with him. I could tell that no one had been "possessed" by Mahlkha and for that, I was grateful. "It just took longer than expected to get there," I replied. I glanced at Peter before looking at my mate, not really sure if I should tell Peter that I was an apprentice to a God. "I didn't use... the gift from my friend because of the fact that he might have had tried something."
Drake nodded his head before glancing at Peter. He seemed to understand as to why I didn't want to say anything about the Gods nor what relationship that I had with them. "We didn't get the boy out," he said, looking over at me. He walked over to me and pulled me into his arms. "We'll try to get him out as soon as you get some rest," he said, kissing my temple.
I shook my head and scowled. I relaxed slightly in his arms, but I really didn't want to go to bed without knowing what happened to Ari and Bernie and whether or not they were safe. "Not until Reeves comes back with the girls," I said. "I can't sleep with them gone."
"Reeves?" Peter asked, his brows furrowing. There was a thoughtful look in his eyes as he tried to figure out which Reeves I was talking about. "I know him," he said. "Why do you trust him? He is a murder." He narrowed his eyes at me, and I could tell that he didn't know which one I was talking about.
I bit back a snort, because I knew that Carlton was far from a murder. I knew that he was fair with what he did which was why he had earned my respect. "I'm talking about Carlton Reeves," I said. "The only reason he had been harming the pack was because Nathaniel had his sister, which I am sure that you all ready knew."
Peter hesitantly looked down, a blush forming on his face. "I knew that," he muttered, causing me to snort and roll my eyes. He looked up and frowned. "But, didn't he attack your pack members?" He glanced at Drake.
"He was trying to get my attention," I said, causing Peter to look at me. "If he didn't attack, then the Alpha would've killed his sister."
Peter furrowed his brows in confusion. "Why would he do that?" he asked.
"Because, my father is under the same God as her father is," someone said from the doorway. "And, let's just say that it isn't pretty."

I looked at the door to see Reeves and scowled. "Nice mouth, asshole," I said, causing him to curve a lip in a small smirk. I looked at Peter to see him looking at Reeves in confusion. "Don't ask. It's... complicated. Sort of."
"No-" He stopped when I gave him a pointed look. "Well, in that case, it is complicated." He stuffed his hands into his pocket and looked away from me.
"That's one way of getting him to shut up," Moria said, chuckling. She smiled at me, tiredly. Her eyes didn't have that much rage in them, and I was sure it was because she had been hanging out with members of my pack. "How are you, Dear?" she asked, looking me up and down to make sure that I was all right. She glanced at Valerie and Caroline before focusing her attention on me.
I stuffed my hands in my pockets and shrugged. I was tired, worried, and a whole lot of other stuff, but I didn't want her to worry about me. "Alright, I guess," I replied. "Heard you were getting pissed at them."
Moria scowled. Anger flared through her eyes, and I was glad that I didn't piss of this Goddess. She was deadly, anyone could tell. "They don't want to help," she said. "I tried to get them to help you out."
I shrugged my shoulder, again. "They want me to figure it out," I replied, causing her to raise an eyebrow. "I'll tell you later," I said, glancing at Peter. I didn't know if I wanted to trust him with this part of me or not, nor did I know how he would react.
Moria glanced at Peter before looking at me. She studied me before nodding her head, understanding that I didn't want him to know about me being blessed by a couple of Gods. "Well, I need to get going. Contact us when you want to get the boy. You'll probably need J's help." She scowled. "If they allow it."
"Have J tell you what was told to us," I said, causing her to nod. "Be careful," I warned, knowing full well that her temper could lead her to some trouble. "We don't need you locked up."
Moria smirked, her eyes flashing dangerously. "The day that they lock me up is the day that one of them dies. I'll see you later." And with that, she flicked her finger and disappeared.
Peter stared at the spot where she was at with confusion and amazement on his face. "What the fuck is she?"
