NIKOLAI'S POV
"I didn't mean to." I hissed and Cooper clenched his jaw again. "Yes you did!" He shouted.
"No, I fucking didn't. Why would I mean to fuck up this bad?!" I shouted back, standing and slamming my fist against the table.
"Than why haven't you apologized?! Why haven't you told her you didn't mean it?!" Cooper replied, glaring at me.
"And now for the past fucking month she hasn't come to dinner, she has barely left Adrien's room! And yet you do nothing!" He added, breathing heavy.
I sighed and rested my head in my hands. I was a mess. I knew what I did and I fucking hated myself for it, but she wouldn't let me tell her. So all I did was deny.
"Just apologize to her, please!" Cooper practically begged. "She wont let me!" I shouted and he became silent. "Don't fucking lie to me, Nikolai. She's just scared and you so are you." Cooper spat then stormed out of the dining room.
"Cooper!" I shouted following him out. As soon as I was out of the dining room he slammed me against the wall and glared at me, pinning me against it.
"You fucking make things right with her, Nikolai. You've waited too long and now things are getting worse." Cooper hissed then released me and stormed off.
I stood there, staring at the doorway where Emma was probably sitting in the room.
I should just go in there and talk to her. The door suddenly opened and my eyes widened.
Adrien raced out and ran to me. "It's Emma. She's missing! Her clothes are gone and so is my suitcase!" She exclaimed and I froze.

"Check every hotel, motel, mansion, phone every mafia and be on the lookout. Check diners and restaurants, search everywhere! Local bus stations!" I shouted and my men all left on search for Emma.
Cooper sat in the corner of the room, staring at the ground. He looked up at me, and gave me the same icy glare before leaving to go help look.
I grabbed my phone and left to do the same thing. Look.
EMMAS POV
It had been a month since the incident. I still loathed him for it, but part of me wanted him to tell me it would be ok and hold me and thats what scared me.
I wanted to yell at him and ask why he wouldn't apologize, why he would do it in the first place, but then I'd see the empty bottles and I got scared.
I had bought a bus ticket earlier today and packed my bag while Adrien left for her shift.
I began to run down the hallway when I heard yelling in the dining room. It was Nikolai and Cooper. Adrien said they had been at it for weeks.
I raced outside and jumped into the black car. "Drive." I muttered to Nikolai's most trusted driver.
He tore off and I told him where he needed to bring me. I was getting out of here. I needed to leave.

The bus halted to a stop and I glanced around at all of the tired people. We all marched out of the bus and I left on the search for my hotel.
I had rested on a four star hotel that was pretty cheap. I just had to figure out where it was.
I finally found it after a long time and checked in. My room was on the third floor, near the fire exit.
I locked my door once I was inside and set my bag down. I took off my coat and shoes then sighed.
I went into the bathroom and started the shower. I had a quick wash then dried off and threw on some pjs.
I rested on my bed and turned on the TV, trying to plan my dinner.

"House keeping!" A deep voice called through the other side of the door. Male housekeeping? Or maybe just a really ugly lady.
I thought that was odd then shrugged it off, it didn't really matter anyway. I opened the door yawning.
"I'm not going out for awhile. Thanks." I muttered and opened my eyes to the tall form. Oh no. Stupid naive Emma!
"Actaully, you'll be checking out." Nikolai said and I tried to shut the door but he blocked it with his foot.
I was about to scream but he clapped his hand over my mouth. He softly pushed me into the room then shut the door behind him.
"You know how stupid that was? Running away like that?! The Swedish could have got you Emma! Adding the fact you used my credit card making it easy to track you!" He shouted at me and I glared at him.
"Be quiet! We're in a hotel!" I hissed and he glared me down. I hated that glare now. I had always been hated it, but now I loathed it.
I cowered away from him and his face softened. "Come home,Emma. Please." He whispered and I shook my head.
"Thats not my home. I don't think it ever was." I replied, staring down at his shiny shoes.
"Emma I fucked up alright? I fucked up bad. I almost...I fucked up. I hate myself for it, I've practically ruined us, but I'm sorry. I truly am. You don't have to sleep in our room, you don't have to talk to me, but please come home so I know you're safe." He said and I remained silent.
I stared at him. Oh god the emotions. I wanted him to hold me, yet I didn't. I could tell he was holding himself back and I hesitantly moved closer.
He stared at me and I broke down. "You hurt me!" I choked out through my sob. "I know and I'm fucking sorry. I'll never be able to forgive myself." He replied, staring down at me.
"I'm so sorry Emma. I can't express the hate I feel for myself and I can't express how sorry I am." He apologized, keeping eye contact with me.
"I'm sorry." He whispered, close to breaking down and I fell into him, sobbing. He hugged me tightly while I clutched his suit and he took deep breaths, stroking my hair.
"Lets go home." He whispered.

I slowly crawled into the bed and he tucked me in. "Goodnight Emma." He whispered and I gave him a small smile. "Goodnight." I replied and he left the room, turning off the light and shutting the door.

One week later
It flashed through my head. The Swedish, that cold cell. Then Nikolai, at first he was calming until I smelled alcohol and was shoved onto a bed. I couldn't move, couldn't fight.
Then I was with the Swedish again, except the mafia boss was, Nikolai. He was torturing me.
I sat up quickly and hugged myself. I glanced at the empty spot next to me and cried.
I raced to the door and began trying to open it, why couldn't I open it? I began clawing at it when I could hear someone crying.
Where? Where could I hide? I tried clawing at the door again, begging and sobbing.
"Emma!" Nikolai shouted, opening the door and I fell back. "Oh God, Emma I'm sorry. I didn't know you were right at the door, are you ok? Whats wrong?" He asked, panicked.
He crouched down in front of me after turning on the lignt turned and he gently grabbed my hands.
I snapped back to reality and stared at him.
He didn't do that to me. It was just a dream. It was only a dream. I've been having these dreams for the past week since I've been home.
I've eaten with everyone else, but I mostly stayed in the guest room. It was just until I was ready.
I leaned into Nikolai and began crying. He pulled me close and stroked my hair. I had to tell him about the dream. I had to.
I told him about my nightmare and he stopped stroking my hair. He cleared his throat then stood up.
"Nikolai-" "Maybe you need a break. You should go stay with Adrien, in her summer cottage." He muttered. He sounded scared and he looked scared.
"No." "No?" "It's not safe, and, and I know you wouldn't do that to me-" "But I did Emma! I assaulted you!" He shouted and I flinched.
He ran his hands through his hair, taking a step away from me. "I forgive you damnit! I want you, I miss you! I hate you for making me feel so confused! I want you but I feel like I shouldn't!" I shouted.
"Because you shouldn't!" He shouted back and I fell against back against the door. "Don't abandon me because one mistake! Please Nikolai. I need you. I forgive you." I replied and he stayed silent. "I love you." I whispered.
He wrapped me up in his arms and held me close. I held him tightly when the door opened.
It was Cooper.
"Finally. Now quiet it down we need sleep." He said then shut the door. I chuckled lightly and Nikolai smiled.
"I love you and I'm sorry." He muttered and I smiled, tightening my grip on him.
