I took a puff from the toxic cigarette sitting in between my fingers as I leant against a tree bark. Sitting a couple of yards away and relaxing on a picnic blanket were Delaney and Camilo. After nearly getting into a gunfight with him a couple of days ago, Delaney wanted me to meet him formally. I was supposed to meet them at this f-cking park, sit, chat, eat, drink and be merry. It sounded like a horrible f-cking idea. Especially since I still hadn't cooled down from the other day. I've been spending more time with Delaney, but she still lied to me. I wasn't over it or over the fact that Camilo was in a 'crew.' I didn't trust him. I didn't trust anyone in the same line of work as me except for my best friends.

When I caught eye contact from Delaney, I flicked the cigarette to the ground and stepped on it. As I mashed out the cigarette, I noticed Delaney walking up to me with a small smile on her face. I rolled my eyes playfully when she approached me. "You need to stop smoking. It's not good for you," she told me before pulling into a hug.

I kissed her forehead. "I switched to lights, darlin'. It's a little bit better than what I used to smoke."

When she pulled away from the hug, she looked back over to Camilo who was texting on his phone. "He's excited to meet you again. This time under a less stressed situation."

"I'm not as thrilled," I responded honestly.

Delaney frowned for a second but then she gave me a soft, reassuring smile. She straightened out my shirt as if I was about to meet someone of big importance. It was obvious that she really wanted me and Camilo to get along. I wanted to make her happy and like her brother, but how could I when he could be planning some stupid sh-t against me and my gang? He couldn't be trusted at least not until he somewhat proves himself.

"Well, you're here now. He's waiting. He's playing Drake songs and he had his wife make us tamales. So, you're going to be good and chill and get to know him. He's a good guy. I promise." I gave her a half-hearted smile and she laughed as she took my hand. "Please, promise you won't act crazy. He's really chill."

"I'll try."

When we approached Camilo, he stood up swiftly and offered his hand out to me. "Andy! Nice to see you again. We first met at a misunderstanding, but I promise there's no hard feelings." He gave me a charming smile but I knew not to trust a pretty smile. I learned that lesson from my ex and many girls from my past. My face remained stagnant but I took his hand and gave it a firm shake. He chuckled awkwardly. "Wow, you have a strong grip."

I ignored him and continued to hold on to his hand as I stared straight into his eyes. They remained focused on mine, unwavering despite my cold stare. "Pleasure to meet you again, Camilo," I said flatly as I finally let go of his hand.

We sat down on the picnic blanket and Camilo offered me a basket full of tamales. "Want a tamale," he asked generously.

"No. I'm not hungry."

"Since when? You can eat whatever whenever," Delaney joked as she nudged me. I laughed because it was pretty true. The tamales smelled amazing and I really wanted one, but I wasn't going to give Camilo the satisfaction by being too friendly with him.

"Well, suit yourself," Camilo shrugged as he sat down the basket.

I looked around the park and avoided any more eye contact with Camilo and Delaney. It was just too awkward. I told Delaney this was a bad idea. No one knew what to say. There wasn't too much to say. At least, I thought there wasn't until Camilo spoke up after a long silence. "So, um, Andy, once again, I'm so sorry about what happened the other day. I don't want any problems with you or the De Palma family. I haven't been totally honest about some things," he said as he looked over to Delaney.

"What do you mean, Camilo," Delaney asked as she stared at him with muddled eyes. Like I said, he couldn't be trusted. He was already telling lies to Delaney.

"Well, I told you the background of our family and all of that was true but I left out a small piece of information. I told a white lie about our father. I said he doesn't sell drugs anymore and I misled you think that I'm the only one who does illegal sh-t in our family. That's not true. Technically, Dad doesn't physically sell drugs anymore, he has a small crew called the Diablos and I'm part of it. We're a small gang and it's been a year since we've officially formed. With that said, I guess you can say our father is the leader of a gang."

The Diablos. I had heard about them. A promising, up-and-coming small gang consisting mostly of Colombians known for selling drugs. From our own gang agents who studied them, they were deemed as harmless. They were just in it for the money and no crossfire. But a few months ago, I heard that they were supposedly getting gun shipments and a bigger import of drugs. It seemed like they were stepping up their game and looking to make more money and use the guns as protection. I've never had any problems with them, but they could still be potential threats, or shall I say nuisances.

I looked at Delaney for a reaction. I sort of felt bad for her. She probably expected her family to be better than a bunch of gangsters. It was bad enough that she had to deal with me, so finding out her father and brother were in the same line of work had to be rough or at least irritating. Despite the news, she seemed unbothered. Since she had nothing to say, Camilo continued talking.

"Our father isn't a bad guy. He's just doing what he has to do to make a living. And Andy, just so you know, the Diablos has no plans on coming after you or the De Palma Family. Not only would we stand no chance, but I wouldn't disrespect you like that. I honestly respect your work ethic and everything your father did. It's beautiful, really. Kai saw I was a good kid so she leant us some money and gave us some drug contacts so we could expand our business. I would never slap you in the face by coming for De Palma and neither would my father. We know our place."

Delaney was still sitting there as if Camilo didn't just drop a bomb on her. She was so calm that I was worried. She had a right to be upset or at least react a little bit. I placed my hand on her back and gently rubbed it. "Are you okay, darlin'?"

"Yeah. I'm fine. It's just really different than what I'm used to. When I was in college, I was surrounded around mostly privileged, clean-cut people and now it's different. My father runs a gang that my brother is in and my own girlfriend is in one of the biggest gangs in America. It's different, but I'm fine. I trust both of you no matter what you guys do and I trust that you guys won't kill each other." Delaney looked from Camilo to me. I stopped rubbing her back and stared at Camilo who seemed relieved that Delaney didn't flip out.

I still wasn't 100% sure about Camilo, but I felt like he wasn't dumb. His gang was significantly smaller than mine. F-cking with us would be suicide and he openly knew that. So, therefore, I knew there wasn't much I had to worry about. "I doubt Camilo and I would have any problems," I clarified as I nodded my head at Camilo. As long as he didn't do anything stupid.

Camilo sighed heavily and wiped away the sweat from his forehead. "Man, that's good to hear. I didn't know Delaney was dating you. This is all crazy for me. I really admire you."

I chuckled at Camilo. He acted like I was some kind of superstar or something when really I wasn't. I was just like him but with a famous last name and a small reputation. "Thanks, man, but enough of the gangster talk. I'm sure Delaney wants us to get to know each other. And I'll take that tamale." Camilo laughed as he passed me the basket.

After talking to Camilo for a couple of hours, I realized that he was a pretty cool dude. He was calm, collective and pretty funny. Delaney laughed at nearly everything he said, even the stuff that wasn't funny. They bonded well and even though they hadn't known each other for long, I could see the brotherly-sisterly love. They admired each other a lot, but sometimes they would get into random arguments. After arguing for a couple of minutes, they were back to admiring each other. It reminded me a lot of me and my little sister.

When I lived at home and Giana got on my nerves, we would get in literal fist fights. Then after the fights, our parents would beat our ass. But after a couple of fights and arguments, we were always back to normal. She'd end up coming to my room and we'd talk until she annoyed me again. It made me happy that Delaney was getting experience that with my brother. I knew she had Mia most of her life, but now she had someone who she could bond with by blood as well.

"Do you like him," Delaney asked me energetically as she jumped on top of me. We were back at her apartment and before we arrived, we stopped and got ice cream. Delaney with sugar in her system was awful. She was like a child with ADHD or something. She bounced off the walls and annoyed the f-ck out of me. She was lucky that she was so damn cute.

I played dumb and raised my eyebrows at her. "Liked who, darlin'?"

"My brother, silly! Did you like him!? I don't think you'll admit it but you totally did. He's so sweet and likable." Delaney began poking my stomach and I laughed. "Does that tickle?" She began poking my stomach faster and I began laughing louder. She was giggling as well until I grabbed her hands, that's when she pouted. "You ruin all the fun, bebé."

"You're an annoying little shit sometimes, did you know that," I asked her as I brought her hands to my lips. I began kissing her hands, giving them small, quick pecks. She was giggling once again. "You're lucky I like you."

"Do you like like me," she asked me in a higher pitch than usual.

I chuckled and let go of her hands. "I mean, you're okay," I said with a shrug of my shoulders. Delaney gasped and smacked my shoulder. My hands made their way to her hips and I caressed her skin with my thumbs. "Of course, I like like you. You're my baby girl. My future, little, feisty doctor."

A smile spread across her beautiful face as she put her hands on top of mine. "Okay, but do you like my brother? You have to answer me or I'm not going to let it go."

"If I answer, can I get a kiss?"

Delaney rolled her eyes with a knowing, mischievous smile. "You always want more than a kiss. But sure, you get one kiss if you answer. You'll get more if you answer truthfully."

"How will you know if I'm lying or not," I questioned with a smirk.

"Oh, I'll know," she answered with slight arrogance.

"Well, if I'm being completely honest with you, darlin', I must admit that your brother is...okay. He's a really cool guy and once we spend more time together, I can see myself liking him more. He has nothing on you, of course. Well, I take that back. He's a little prettier."

Delaney balled up her fist and acted like she was going to punch me in the stomach. I flinched as I grabbed her fist. "What? He has a really nice bone structure, darlin'. I can't help that the man is pretty!"

"You know what I was going to keep this from you to spare your ego, but your father is really fucking hot. Way hotter than you. Your mom is lucky that I like her," Delaney shot back. I sat up and began gagging at the thought of Delaney screwing my father. "He has a nice body for his age. And he has a huge bulge."

"You stared at my dad's d-ck," I screamed with disbelief and disgust.

Delaney shrugged like it was no big deal. "I mean, how could I not? It's always showing. He's packing, Andy. Your mom's a lucky woman."

"Oh Jesus! Please! You're going to make me puke." I called her brother pretty but information on my dad's d-ck was way too far.

Delaney began laughing hysterically at me as she grabbed my hands and pinned them down to the bed. "I'm just kidding. I've never looked at your father like that. Your parents did a good job, though, they made the finest f-cking person on this planet." I smirked as Delaney leaned in close to me. Her lips grazed mine. "Giana is so fine."

"Okay, that's the last straw," I grumbled.

Delaney giggled. "What are you going to do, Andrea? I can't help that you're the ugly sister."

I pushed Delaney off of me aggressively just to climb on top of her. Taking her chin in my hand, I stared deep into her eyes. Her lower was tucked behind her teeth, and I rubbed my thumb across it. "You know what's ugly, darlin'? Those faces you make every time I make you c-m. What's even uglier is your hair after we're done. And do you know what's really, really f-cking ugly?" I leaned down and nibbled on her earlobe before giving it a soft kiss. "All those nasty things you let me do to you. I don't think your parents would find that pretty, huh?"

I faced Delaney once again and she hungrily kissed my lips. Her hands met the back of my neck as I slid my tongue between her lips. Our bodies began moving against each other's and right when she reached for a button on my shirt, my phone rang. I pulled away, muttering curse words before answering my phone. "This better be good," I yelled into the phone.

Leo was on the other end giving me bullsh-t about how Jimmy was calling a mandatory meeting out of nowhere. I hung up without saying anything and looked at Delaney who was still staring me with lust in her eyes. I didn't want to go but I also didn't want to have Jimmy on my ass. He's been quieter than usual lately which made me relieved but also uneasy. He could be planning something or maybe he finally took a chill pill. "I have to go, darlin'."

Surprisingly, Delaney gave me a smile and one last kiss. "Fine, but you owe me one. Be safe."
