Andy|
Nothing but silence filled the air of my office. I could barely breathe and I had no idea what to say. I don't think anyone did, not after what Delaney had just told us. She was standing there with red eyes and tear stained cheeks. She hadn't cried in front of me so far but I knew she most likely cried on the ride over to the clubhouse. I wanted so bad to hold her and tell her everything would be okay. But I didn't know what she wanted. Was it me or her family?
F-ck, how could a man be so stupid? This was all her father's fault. We could easily share time with Delaney. I had no problem with the time she spent with her family. I wasn't possessive, and I had no problems with her family. Her father didn't have to go off ordering people to kill my friends just because he eventually wanted Delaney all to himself. He was f-cking mental.
My close friends and Eva stood there in my office looking from Delaney then back to me. The tension was thick. Delaney told us assumedly everything but she didn't say what she wanted to do. Was she going to stay with me or leave with her family? It worried me. I wanted her to stay here with me. Rather I killed her father or not, all I wanted was her. I needed justice for my friends, of course. Luis needed to die either way but I could forgive her father if it meant that she stayed with me. Unfortunately, it seemed like her father was set on one of us dying. Me or him.
"So, what do we do," Leo finally broke the silence. She stepped forward in front of the rest of my friends and looked from Delaney to me. "I mean, someone has to pay for this. They killed Craig and Mario. Gruesomely. They deserve the same death if you ask me."
"Who do you mean by 'they'," Delaney quickly snapped. "My father shot out the orders and Luis did the killing. If you want to kill Luis then fine, but you're not touching a hair on my father until he actually comes for one of your lives."
"You're defending that psychotic f-ck? He's jealous of your girlfriend. The guy is a f-cking sicko. You've known Andy longer than you've known him," Leo argued back with Delaney.
"I'm not defending what he did! This is just a lot right now and the last thing I want to think about is my father dying over something as stupid as this."
"Well, your father is the stupid one. He brought this upon himself. He ordered to have two of our friends killed. Two members of our Family. He deserves a death just as equal as Luis's. If someone ordered two of your friends to be killed, wouldn't you be just as mad at the person who put out the orders than the killer? Put your feet in our f-cking shoes right now. You're being selfish."
"How the f-ck am I being selfish?!"
"Can both you stop arguing," I yelled at both Leo and Delaney. Arguing wasn't going to make things any better. The last thing we needed was to turn our backs on each other. Delaney rolled her eyes and crossed her arms and Leo stepped back and blew her breath.
"Delaney, I love you. You know I'd do anything for you. I want to be with you. But I have to ask, to make sure we're on the same page, what do you want? Do you want your family or do you want me? I'd never ask you to choose but we have no choice with your father's ultimatum. I wish we could all be happy together but that's not the case. If you choose me, your father is going to die. If he tries to kill me, he won't succeed. You know that and if you can't talk any sense into him then I don't f-cking know what to do other than to kill him in protection of myself."
Delaney bit her lower lip and put one of her hands up to her forehead. I knew this was stressing her out. I was stressed too. This was a tough predicament. "This is hard for me. Very f-cking hard. But I do love you. I want to be with you. In a way, Leo's sort of right. Something's not all there with him. If he really loved me, he'd be willing to share my time and he wouldn't go to extremes to kill you. Do what you have to do. I choose you. All I ask is to leave Camilo and my mother out of it. I'm pretty sure my mother is clueless while Camilo truly stands by our side. I can convince him to leave my father's side."
"Are you sure about this?" I stepped from behind my desk and stood in front of Delaney. I put my hands on her shoulders as I peered into her eyes. "I want you to make the right decision. I love you so f-cking much but I want you to be happy. Rather it's with me or your family. It'll hurt like hell but if you want to be with your father, I truly understand."
"If I go with my family, everyone lives but I know I won't be happy. I won't be happy without you in my life. I want you. I'll try talking to my father and Camilo once again but after that, you can do what you need to do." I took Delaney's hands in mine and squeezed them. I wanted to smile because I was so relieved that she chose me, but I didn't want to seem inconsiderate. Her family was about to be torn apart.
"So, what are we going to do," Eva questioned.
I let go of Delaney's hands and pulled her into a tight hug. As I spoke I held her tightly. "Delaney is going to try one more time to get her father to his senses. He'll never hurt her. If she succeeds, we're good. We'll just have to figure out how to kill Luis. He can't get away with the horrible sh-t he did. Delaney's father, however, I'm willing to give him a pass."
I was expecting backlash from Leo, but she didn't say anything. I was thankful. I kissed Delaney's forehead and rubbed her back soothingly. "For now, can you guys give Delaney and I some time alone? Tomorrow, Delaney will go back to see her father and try to get things straight. Tonight, I just want time to be alone with her. We'll figure out everything else later."

"You, mister, are a f-cking scammer," Delaney yelled at the game attendant. I thought she was going to jump over the f-cking booth and attack him. I put my hand on her shoulder trying to calm her down as the game attendant laughed. This wasn't new. Every f-cking game on the pier was rigged. Last time we came, I won Delaney Mr. Snuggles but that was only after countless tries and money wasted.
Delaney was trying return the favor and win me a stuffed animal, but it wasn't working. After spending forty dollars of her money, she was getting frustrated. The game attendant making mocking jokes every now and then wasn't helping at all. Delaney pointed and cursed at the man as a kid walked up to play the game as well.
"Hey, don't play this game! This man is a f-cking asshole. He's after your motherf-cking money," she yelled at the little girl with pigtails. The situation was pretty funny but I tried to keep a straight face. Her father looked at Delaney as if she was on crack and from a bystander's point of view, I could see the reason why.
"Okay, darlin', that's enough. On to another game, okay?" I took her hand and had to physically pull her away as she continued to yell at the game attendant.
"What a f-cking prick," she told me as we walked away. She held my hand tightly as she looked up at me. "Can you f-cking believe him? A cheating b-tch! Can I report him!?"
I finally let out a much-needed laugh and shook my head. "No, darlin'. That's their job. I tell you what, let's try another. No one ever wins the ring around the bottle game," I lied. I had won it a few times but I wanted to make my girl feel better. It had been a hard day and I just wanted her to be happy. "Hey, look at that! I want that," I yelled as I pointed towards a medium sized stuffed Spongebob.
I didn't even want it but one of the easier games had it as a prize. I knew for sure Delaney could win it for me, easily. "Aw, my bebé wants a Spongebob?" She stopped in her tracks and looked at me.
"Yeah, are you going to get it for me, darlin'?"
"Anything for my Andy." She gave me a soft kiss before pulling me towards the game as I chuckled.
All Delaney had to do was hit a balloon with a dart. One f-cking balloon and she was given five darts. Kids did this all the time. It was literally the easiest thing in the world. I had taught Delaney how to use a gun and she killed a man with it so she had be pretty damn good at it. So, why the hell was she struggling at this game as well?
It was super adorable because she threw a small tantrum every time she lost but kept playing over and over again. Each game was $10 so she could pick any prize she wanted. Sadly, $120 later, I was finally holding Spongebob in my arms. When she won, I was more than thankful to have the damn guy. At first I didn't really want him but she worked so hard for him that I was really excited.
I hugged him and kissed his forehead before leaning over kiss Delaney. "You won us our second born! Mr. Snuggles is going to be jealous, darlin'." I pulled her into my arms and held her tightly. She giggled as I rocked her back and forth. "Thank you so much, baby. I really appreciate it. I'm going to take good care of him, and you...when we get home." I moved my face closer to Delaney's, but she laughed and pushed back by my forehead.
"Can you be adorable without being nasty?"
"Um, let me think...no."
Delaney rolled her eyes and shook her head at me. "You could at least be subtle in front of our new son," she told me as she took Spongebob from me. "Come on, Spongebob. Let's go. Your dad is a piece of sh-t." Delaney began walking away from me as if she didn't know me. I laughed and ran after her. I wrapped my arms around her from behind and kissed her neck continuously until she began giggling. "Stop, you idiot! Our son is right here in my arms."
"Spongebob is 30 years old. I think he's okay with a little PDA," I told Delaney before licking her neck. She let out a loud laugh and put her hands on my arms. "What?"
"Why are you so nasty? You're licking my damn neck...in public! In front of children!"
"And? You're like my personal little ice cream. I want to lick you everywhere. Anywhere." I licked her shoulder and she continued to giggle.
"Keep licking me and you're going to make this little ice cream melt."
"Mmm, don't turn me on. Then I'm really going to get nasty," I told her as I moved my hands from around her. She turned towards me and shoved Spongebob into my arms. "Hey, don't handle him like that, Ma. You're going to hurt him," I told her as I rubbed Spongebob's rectangular head.
"It's kind of hot when you call me 'Ma.'"
"Oh, darlin', do you have mommy issues?" She laughed and lightly punched me in my stomach. "Ow!"
Once again, Delaney started walking away from me. I followed behind her though. She looked over her shoulder only to watch me follow her like a puppy. "Are you staring at my ass?" I looked up at her and gave her a mischievous smile.
"No, darlin'. Just staring at the ground because I've been such a bad girl tonight. I need you to strap me and teach me a lesson," I joked. I thought she was going to lose it. At first, she gave me this shocked look but then she began laughing outrageously. I chuckled as well.
"You're so stupid sometimes," she told me as she continued to laugh. She took my hand once again and kissed it. "But I love it. Can you believe we actually met here? At this exact spot actually! I remember! You punched Leo just to get my number. What a fake friend!"
"Hey, now! If I didn't do it then where would you be right now? You'd probably be with someone totally lame or alone and I know for sure, I'd probably be single or just dead."
"Just dead," Delaney repeated with a laugh.
"You did what you did to Jimmy for me. So, in another timeline, I would be dead. You saved my life so technically-"
"Okay, don't mind f-ck me right now, Andrea," Delaney said with a small laugh. "Plus, I don't want to think about you dying even if we didn't technically meet in the timeline you died in. See, now I'm confused, bebé," she told me with an adorable pout.
I kissed her temple and laughed. "You're cute when you're confused. You wrinkle your forehead and sh-t."
"Oh damn, that's the sweetest thing someone has ever told me," she told me sarcastically.
I smiled and shrugged my shoulders. "I try. Let's get on the Ferris wheel."
"I thought you were scared of heights, you b-tch."
"I am, but I want to get on it with you. Let's go! I'll race you there!"
Delaney began running as soon as I said 'race.' What a f-cking cheater. Of course, she beat me there. She had a head start. When we arrived to the line for the Ferris wheel, I smacked Delaney's ass for cheating. She quickly turned to face me and smacked my face softly. "There's kids around, nasty! I can't believe you want to get on this anyways. You fainted last time!"
"Yeah, I know, but you sacrificed hundreds of dollars today just to win me a prize. So, I want to make a sacrifice for you. Also, I know you like the Ferris wheel so I'm willing to do anything that makes you happy. Making you happy is my goal and I know I said it earlier, but I'm going to say it again. I enjoy every single moment we spend together even when we're arguing but if you want your family, I'm not going to be selfish and hold you back. Your happiness is what matters even if it makes me the most miserable person in the world. But just know that I would do anything for you. I'd die for you. Hell, I'll even get on this damn Ferris wheel for you. I'm yours and I want you to know that. But if you want your family, then that's okay too."
A gigantic smile was on Delaney's face as she pulled me into a tight hug. I held her and kissed her hair as I smiled as well. "I'm so lucky to have you. I want you and I mean that. I don't know if I could live without you. You're my everything. If it wasn't for you, I'd still be lost and not knowing what to do with my life. You helped me get over my ex. You helped me feel better about myself after I was...you know by that guy. I hadn't even known you when it happened but you helped me not feel ashamed about someone taking advantage of me. You nearly killed him on sight and I can honestly say I never had someone love me as much as you love me. And I've never loved someone as much as I love you."
She looked at me with glazed eyes and as soon as a tear fell, I wiped it away. "You don't have to get on this dumb Ferris wheel to prove yourself. I know who you are, Andy."
I held up Spongebob and laughed a little. "I think our son is feeling like a third wheel."
Delaney laughed and cut her eyes at me. "Way to ruin the mood, dork!"
